Happy days are here again! What a wonderful day it is today. Got my second jab of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine today The logistics has not been the best in the Stockholm region. But I must say that the people I’ve been in contact with to get an appointment have been absolutely wonderful. Now I’m looking forward to summer vacation, basking in the sun, reading books and the odd glass of rosé @real_monsieurz #vaccine #secondjab #fuckcovid19 #fuckantivaccers #sunday #vacation #june #tomorrowwillbeagoodday #healthylifestyle #nevergiveup #training #fitnessgoals #fitnessmotivation #healthyliving #fitnessinspo #goodlife #ageisjustanumber #betternotyounger #motivation #foxylady #fitness #mealprep #caloriedeficit https://www.instagram.com/p/CQWHQYxHBXo/?utm_medium=tumblr

Captain Tom Moore: NHS fundraiser celebrates turning '100 years young'
Captain Tom Moore celebrates his 100th birthday after several weeks of whirlwind during which he became a household name and received nearly £30 m for the NHS. After heading out to walk 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday on 30 April, the Second World War soldier, who served in India and Burma, has become an international celebrity. His initial £1,000 target was reached in about 24 hours, and after completing the first 100 two weeks ahead of time he extended his goal to 200 laps. Captain Moore wants to spend his special day with his daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore and her family at home, from whom he has been trying to isolate himself. They will all celebrate individually and, using technology, will be accompanied by his daughter Lucy and her family. “100 years young today. Looking forward to a day of celebration with the family. Today will be a good day!” Captain Tom shared a message on Thursday for his fans on Twitter. The soldier also shared a message on the eve of his birthday asking people to stay home and wish him a happy birthday from distance. "I am turning 100, which is quite extraordinary," Captain Moore stated. “It is even more extraordinary that I am doing so with this many well-wishers and I am in awe at the response my walking has had. “To everyone who has donated, sent birthday cards and messages, sincerely thank you. Please stay home, stay safe. Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day.” Having won the hearts of people all over the world, many have found ways to mark the anniversary celebration of the national hero. The soldier of the army has been overwhelmed with birthday letters, along with more than 140,000 cards, opened at a special sorting office set up at the school of his grandson. Royal Mail has designed a postbox in the NHS blue village of Captain Moore, in recognition of his fundraising efforts. The postbox was adorned with a golden balloon, at Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire. Royal Mail's David Gold stated: "We wish Captain Thomas Moore a very happy 100th birthday. "His accomplishments are truly phenomenal and this is reflected in the affection shown to him throughout the world." The RAF also organized a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight air show of a Spitfire and a Hurricane to mark Captain Moore's birthday, and he was selected honorary colonel of the Army Foundation College. General Staff Chief Sir Mark Carleton-Smith booked an appointment, which the Queen has accepted, to motivate the next century of soldiers. Many tributes to the soldier include a Royal Mail postmark with all the sealed post signed "Happy 100th Birthday Captain Thomas Moore NHS Fundraising Hero 30th April 2020" until Friday. He also had a Great Western Railway (GWR) train named after him in recognition of his charitable accomplishments. May the best of your past be the worst of your future
Truly one of my mantras , was a family saying . What does it mean ?
Its basically saying that no matter how good today is for you, I hope tomorrow is so much better that the best part of today would be the worst compared to everything else of tomorrow.
Tomorrow hold all the positivity and hope and opportunity so being a a promise I always believe tomorrow be good .
Have a great day

Friday 17th April 2020
General Thoughts from Lockdown.
Stock Dove last evening. I’m trying to get a good shot to show their beautiful collar, but the sun wasn’t out, so this one can definitely be improved on soon.
My garden seems have gone quiet. I start the day with some tea in bed and the window open listening to the birds. It was strangely still yesterday and the birds were much less vocal than they have been of late. I wonder why?
I’ve also started watching Chris Packham and his step daughter Megan McCubbin doing their 9am broadcast from home isolation in the New Forest.
You can find a link on Twitter at @SIBirdClub or Facebook
It was much noisier in their background.
Two days ago I was very interested in learning more about bats and having an exchange with Gail, the Bat Lady, who posted links regarding bat health which are of particular note during the Covid-19 outbreak, but they cover all manner of topics and it’s a good watch.
We have Bats here, I think the Common Pipistrelle. They fly circuits across the back of the house and the front, coming from the East and returning, catching insects as they go.
I watched this morning and it was a nice coincidence that they were talking about writing - hopefully I’ll pick up some tips from Stephen Moss, author, naturalist and lecturer at Bath Spa Uni.
And although this is essentially a blog about the nature all around me here in East Sussex while we’re on lockdown, I absolutely have to write about National, if not Global Treasure, Captain Tom Moore, 99 years and 50 weeks old and his amazing story about fundraising for National Health Service Charities. I can’t imagine anyone reading this won’t have heard already - then again, you never know who may be reading, so if you don’t know Tom’s story see it here
and here.
How unbelievably marvellous (welling up a bit) I’m joining in with the calls for high honours for Tom, maybe even naming a hospital after him for posterity and am wishing he stays healthy and fit and has a wonderful birthday on the 30th.
Be warned, every time you see his story, the £Ms raised will be out of date already and remember his Twitter hashtag #tomorrowwillbeagoodday What an inspiration he is.
So last night, as it was Thursday, we joined in the now customary 8pm applause to acknowledge the essential workers keeping our country going, tending for the sick and trying to keep as many of us fed and safe as possible. The nights are getting lighter and as I looked up I saw an unusual sight in the sky
Then when I returned indoors and sat down I saw another sight for sore eyes
First given the cold shoulder
and then an absolute pose...
Talk about chilled. The hoop by the way is one I wove out of cut down Bamboo from our garden. I’ve made a few arches for the birds to perch on. Robins like them especially.
After saying the garden has been quiet there’s been a lot going on last night and today and I have quite a few photos to download and decide what to do with. We also got an online supermarket delivery and that took for ever to deal with, unpacking, wiping everything down and disposing of packaging. We did it carefully and to the best of our knowledge - never been apprehensive about our food shopping before. What strange times we’re living in, so thank goodness for the pleasure we can get from the natural world around us.
