“Elf-san wa Yaserarenai.” The First Promo

The official website for Elf-san wa Yaserarenai, the television anime adaption of Synecdoche's novel. The first promotional video and production crew for the manga series (Elf can't be on a diet) were unveiled. The July 2024 premiere of the anime is planned.

The reason why Naoe is so comfortable and doesn't really show embarrassment around the girls except for 'you need to put clothes on we're in public!' Is because he's gay.

In the Smiley Boar, I want all the girls to kinda confront him about it. He said that human were into big girls, but he's never shown any interest in them! Why not?

As Naoe tries to fumble out an excuse, a very fat dwarf in a Hawaiian shirt close to bursting comes in. Naoe is immediately a blushing mess and speechless.

The girls realize at once that there ARE humans into fat girls... Naoe is just into fat guys.

Long story short, the dwarf is completely fine with his body, but needs some help in learning exercises how to tone his muscles and strength train.

First Impression: Plus-Sized Elf

Tomoatsu Naoe has an interesting new client at the health spa he works for. For starters, she’s a little on the plump side as she has a habit of grubbing on unhealthy foods. For another, she’s an actual elf. Unfortunately, she cannot return home through a dimensional portal due to her newly acquired weight being different from when she arrived. So after a bit of convincing, Naoe puts his elfin client, Elfuda, through a rigorous exercise regimen to help her shed the pounds so she can get back home. However, the tempting cuisines of the human world threaten to derail all her progress! Can Elfuda slim down enough to get back home?

Crossover of the day: Monster Musume and Plus-Sized Elf

Kimihito: So you’ve got a small army of super-attractive monster-girls around you, who are frequently naked, too?

Naoe: Yeah, I guess I do.

Kimihito: And none of them want to have sex with you?

Naoe: ...No?

Kimihito: None of them.  None of them.  At all?

Naoe: No.  Are you okay?

Some news, info and updates about “Elf san wa yaserarenai”, aka “Elf-san can’t diet”. 

If you didn’t know, Elf-san wa yaserarenai is done. It is over. The original publisher of the series decided to end their deal with Synecdoche, leading to the closing of the series back in 2021. 

What not many people know however, is that Synecdoche worked behind the scenes to have the series going on (there were talks of a double-chapter final published on Pixiv) and now they found a new publisher for a sequel that started this year: Shin Elf-san wa Yaserarenai (New Elf-san Can’t Diet): now, it is published by LINE Manga. Now, unlike Young Champion (previous publisher) which was a traditional manga publishing house, LINE Manga is a Japanese website that sells online mangas. On one side, it means that the scans and copies of this new series are much harder to get... On the other side, it means that Synecdoche could change the format and now, instead of an usual black-and-white manga, we have a FULLY COLORIZED manga! It is gorgeous to see. However so far, from what I have seen, there hasn’t been any male weight gain now. Just lots of female fan-service... perhaps even more than before.

The other big news, much more interesting, is that Young Champion did not totally drop the old series... Indeed, Young Champion decided to release anew the old Elf-san can’t diet series... BUT COLORIZED TOO! One chapter every two months, in Dokodemo Young Champion. Which means all the weight gains you loved before can get even better with sumptuous, gorgeous colors!

Problem? Well... From what I can gather, due to this simply being a colorized re-release, not many people are actually interested in spreading scans online... And I don’t know if the recolorization will ever get an English release, because already we had to wait a very long time for the original mangas to be translated in English... Anyway, if anyone knows a way to find the colorized scans, it would be quite helpful - I would love to make posts about the colorized Naoe weight gains.
