These boys, this team, this sport all have a special place in my heart. I am sad that I won’t get to see this particular team play live as two of them retired from the national team but regardless of that I will continue to support all of them no matter what. Tokyo Olympics is when I heard of them, only learnt three of the members then and it was the three I saw everywhere. Yuyuran aka Yuki Ishikawa, Yuji Nishida and Ran Takahashi.

Finally learnt the rest of the team this year and supported them through the Paris Olympics but was really sad with the end results. I know they played their best in that last match and I was still so so proud of them from putting up the fight they did against Italy.

I hope that one day I will get to see them play volleyball live and not just on a screen, if not all of them then some of them 🫶🏽

Mamo was bored, all alone in his café, and was wondering why there was no customer. Then he noticed the camera and introduced himself. He said that because he loves coffee so much, he ended up opening a shop where they sell tea... 😂

His first and only customer was Akihiro Tomita, the MC of the show. Mamo invited him to take a seat and ordered him around... "Sit down!!" Is this how you treat your customer Mamo? xD

They introduced him as a popular voice actor and artist. Then, Mamo welcomed us to his café.

Ohhh. I’m surprised we are getting visuals for this one so early. Maybe they are keeping the promo for “JUST DO IT” low-key due to the “mature” nature of the anime. Anyways, the visuals look interesting for sure. Very exotic. Fits the vibe of the anime and the song I guess. And it’s a huge departure from what we have seen so far. Honestly love Hikaru’s look. The dark lipstick slays and the braids in her hair are super lovely.The tribal face paint/tattoo also looks pretty neat. I can already hear some people complaining about this and accusing Hikaru of cultural appropriation or whatever. Please don’t. The cover as a whole is kinda meh and all over the place, too much going on there. Looks like a somehwat ambitious school project that went too far. Also not sure I am a fan of the plain white background. On a side note, I really like the title of the B-Side. “Determination” sounds intriguing, like it could totally be something badass. But who knows. Hikaru’s producer and arranger Akihiro Tomita has mentioned in a recent tweet that those two new singles are quite new and refreshing. So let’s keep our fingers crossed.
