Celebrating John Mola’s birthday in grand style, with a side of #StarTrek!

We had a fun pre-birthday Saturday adventure for John in Toledo. Beyond phenomenal lunch at Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar. Saw a video on reddit today about the size difference between male and female kodiak bears and L O R D D D. They were both sitting at first and I think they were feeding them ice cream? on a stick to get them to stand up. the female stood up first and I was like 'okay reasonable for a bear' and then the male did it and was so fucking massive I ran here on four legs to tell you.

The absurd size of Kodiac bears is such a mind boggling thing to me. And I've seen black and brown bears in person, which never fails to give me that "heart plummeting to your stomach" feeling when I can suddenly see the how truly big they are, so I think seeing a Kodiac irl would make me pass out.

It's also so crazy how he's only slightly shorter sitting down and hunched over than the woman is standing up. And then when he stands, he's double her size.

I'm also so geeked that you saw a bear and immediately ran to share it with me. Thank you!!!!! I've watched this vid 8x now
