I'm watching a Wired video on pregnancies and the Vanishing Twin part in the beginning just blew me away. I already knew about twins that vanish inside the womb in the first trimester, that one isn't what had my eyes wide.

It's that it's believed that the DNA of that vanished twin still floats around the mothers body and blood stream which might cause false positive results in tests that look for genetic defects if the vanished twin had such a defect.

That's a thing to keep in mind.
