TLK/Arcane: Pitfighter Vitani

So... what exactly is even going on here??

Well... after bingewatching Act 2 of Arcane Season 2, a hypothetical discussion with a friend eventually turned into me painting up this thing, a little like the style of the show. Felt good to do a painterly style. For a while I've been doing a lot of the cartoon style rendering. Painting somehow feels faster and more therapeutic for me :U

Vi has always given me Vitani vibes, ever since I started the show 3 years ago thanks to the same friend introducing me to League lore.

It's incredibly easy to mix Vi and Vitani's features due to the similarities in their designs. I was originally going to just sketch a four-legged Vitani with a black tuft and eye markings, but then I started doodling the fists and bandages, so I opted for an anthro Vitani instead.

I've drawn an anthro Vitani before for the Zootopia-Verse, could this be a triple fandom crossover, then?

so decided to continue with the idea of doing a Lion king crossover with Monkie kid.

I figured it would be a fun idea of following the lion king story but have the characters replaced with the characters from monkie kid as I have seen with other fandoms in few different fanfics and art work also the idea of Peng acting as Zazu just made me laugh a little. I decided for this crossover au to have Mac and Wukong in Nala's and Simba's places 

I still have a few characters to decide on who would be who.

TLK/Z: Nuka

Introducing the line-up of TLK/Zootopia designs with Nuka! I felt eager to go with him first because I'd created his design and backstory long ago (this model was drawn all the way back in 2020!). I know Simba or Mufasa could've been the more conventional inaugural choices to start with, but I truthfully am still working on what modern human-like lifestyles would most fit those two (I do already have a slight idea of what Pride Rock and its leaders would be in an modern anthropomorphic world, but some suggestions are welcome to add to the brainstorming!)

When trying to come up with a Zootopia pun equivalent to "Twitch", I did some research on rhyming animal terms and ended up calling it "Fitch", which is another word for the polecat, or black-footed ferret. This exact animal happened to be given a canonical appearance in Zootopia in the form of Travis, Gideon Grey's toadie in the childhood flashback scene (could he have something to do with creating the animal gamer streaming site? 🤔)

I lowkey struggled with this bio/ref page design when it came to text placement and fonts to choose. Bios/Refs are subject to change in design throughout posting.

Timon VS Outsiders Gun Gag Theory

INCOMING AUTISTIC RAMBLING

Sooo... y'all remember that one scene in Simba's Pride during the final battle when the Outsiders corner Timon & Pumbaa? And how they flee in terror when Timon grabs Pumbaa's tail and uses it to simulate a gun? Definitely a silly gag that seems out of nowhere and make little to no sense.

But what if there's actually more to it?

It's safe to assume that humans definitely exist in this cinematic TLK universe, given this scene implies that those Outsiders have encountered some poachers sometime in the past, and it clearly left them an even deeper scar than the Scar they worship.

Who knows, maybe that's how Zira actually got the hole in her ear. Believed to be dead, a group of poachers would hire a photographer to take a picture of their kill, but the flash would trigger her back into consciousness and attack the poachers.

That's not all though, maybe Timon in particular reminded them of a specific poacher, but who you may ask?

The character Hamegg from Osamu Tezuka's Star System, which is recurring characters he'd use in different storylines. He's a supporting antagonist in many of Tezuka's works, serving as a robot circus ringleader in the Astro Boy franchise, as well as a poacher in the Kimba the White Lion franchise.

So why him? Well... since I imagine TLK & Kimba taking place within the same universe (with Simba even meeting Kimba/Leo himself during his time in the jungle), I feel like he was hired to get rid of some man-eating Tsavo lions in an area, which would later come to be known as the Outsiders.

Also he & Timon share the same VA in the 2009 Astro Boy movie.
