Heavily encouraged by @emiko-fan-2podcasterin
Enjoy this peace of wild thought of mine

Erin In The Morning:
On Friday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed into law HF5216, a judiciary, public safety, and corrections supplemental budget bill that includes a ban on the gay and trans panic defense. The law, which narrowly passed the Senate on a party-line 34-33 vote, prohibits individuals who commit violence against gay or trans people from using their surprise at the victim's identity as a justifiable reason for their actions. This defense has been used at least 351 times in homicide trials, according to researchers, and has often led to reduced sentences. Now, Minnesota becomes the 19th state to bar such defenses.
The bill states that the use of force against a person in reaction to their sexual orientation or gender identity is prohibited. It also specifies that it is not a defense to any crime that the defendant acted "based on the discovery of, knowledge about, or disclosure of" a victim's LGBTQ+ status. Such defenses have been used previously to justify violence against transgender people who do not disclose their gender identity to an intimate partner, romantic partner, or even during mere flirtation. The transgender panic defense, according to one study, has been used at least 351 times. W. Carsten Andresen, a professor who has tracked instances where the gay and trans panic defenses have been used, states that the defense has been effective. In 32% of cases, murder charges have been reduced in sentence when the defense is used, and 5% of people who use the defense are acquitted entirely. Andresen notes that this is notable given that these murders often "involve incredible violence."
Minnesota is the latest state to end the gay and trans panic defense, as Gov. Tim Walz (D) signed SF5216 into law.

Schalavsky and Wespe would have a field day with this.
I still think about them sometimes)
Tell me some of your tkkg headcanons If you wanna :)
Aaah thank you for this ask 🥹🥹 I have literally so many thoughts… some cute, some angsty
Gaby liebt Horrorfilme, besonders paychologische.
Tims Mutter heiratet ihren Freund und Tim bekommt zwei Halbgeschwister :) (He has big brother energy, I am not getting tired of saying that!)

7/20 Book Deals
Good morning, everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! How has the start of your week been? I really hope you’re all hanging in there and doing alright, I know things still seem to difficult in a lot of places and I wish you all peace and hope you stay safe. :) I’ve been on the job hunt yet again and it’s... well, about as frustrating as you might expect a job hunt to be right now, haha. Anybody else out there struggling?
Now, on to the books! There’s a bunch of great ones on sale yet again, it seems! Today there was a lot of more nonfiction/etc. on sale in addition to fiction, so I was sure to include some of those for those who might appreciate them. :) Also, I think it sometimes gets mixed reviews, but The Shadow of What Was Lost is the first book in one of my favorite fantasy trilogies, so I always recommend that one. The Graveyard Book is also great, and I have always loved that cover for We, the Drowned.
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day--happy reading!

Have there been any aggressive and condescending Raouls ( you know, Hadley Fraser’s style) ?
Many of the restaged tour Raouls were, which makes sense as it was directed by the same person. Some of those that come to mind are:
Simon Bailey (though I found him aggressive even in the original)
Ben Jacoby
Storm Lineberger (though he was an improvement on Jacoby)
Jordan Craig (decent at first, then went downhill)
From the original, these were a few that I found, perhaps not as angry as Hadley Fraser’s, but still overly grumpy:
Tim Martin Gleason
Carsten A. Lepper
Sean Palmer
So there you have some!

top 5 boots GO
AAAH I am the worst at choosing favorites @wheel-of-fish WHYYY?
...but since you asked, I tried! These are some of my top POTO (obviously) video boots, in chronological order since I just went through my list:
London - September, 2002 John Owen-Jones, Celia Graham, Robert Finlayson One of my first-ever boots from when I started trading in 2004/2005 and I remember being blown away by JOJ’s final lair. It’s a sentimental fave 💖
Los Angeles (3NT) - November 19, 2003 Brad Little, Lisa Vroman, Tim Martin Gleason *Points to avatar* I adore Brad. He was my fourth Phantom and he’s in his prime here, plus Lisa is one of my all-time favorite Christines. Such an amazing pairing!
Stuttgart - May 23, 2004 Thomas Schulze (alt), Maike Switzer, Carsten Axel Lepper I think this is on a lot of favorites lists 😂 That final lair tho 😭 (Also I just love the show in German and the German Phantoms always had those lovely, rich voices!)
London - February, 4, 2006 (evening) Earl Carpenter, Rachel Barrell, David Shannon EARL IN SHIRTSLEEVES 😫 (Yes he’s also in shirtsleeves in the restaged UK tour, but it’s so much hotter when it’s not on purpose 🔥) I know there are mixed feelings about Rachel, but I love her and saw them together live, so NOSTALGIA.
Broadway - March 6, 2014 Hugh Panaro, Elizabeth Welch (u/s), Jeremy Hays Unlike most of the Phandom I’m not a big Hugh fan, but ELIZABETH is just GAH 😍 SO GOOD. She’s a bucket list Christine for me to see live and her performance here is just so tender and thoughtful and lovely.
Runners up:
Vancouver, BC (Canadian Tour) - 1991 Jeff Hyslop, Patti Cohenour The quality is crap but these two are lovely together 😍
Detroit - 1993 Kevin Gray, Teri Bibb, Nat Chandler You’d think I’d prefer Kevin with his IRL wife Dodie, but he and Teri had better on-stage chemistry. Plus Kevin’s performance is so unique and moving!
London - March 9, 2000 Scott Davies, Meredith Braun, Matt Cammelle Another bucket list actor here - Scott. GASPY & RASPY all the way 😂
Thanks for the ask, Fish!
xoxo
