"What a fuckin waste, man," Nguyen said. He stared up at the towering Thunder Hawk they were joining armor to. The jutting 'chin' of the cockpit loomed above their lift, which hung next to one of the vast cavities fit to recieve a gauss rifle. "They're good mechs, why stop building a product like this?"

"Who's gonna pay for them?" DeMarkus shrugged. "The rifles are expensive. The frame's expensive. The engine alone is worth more than a whole lance of hunchbacks. Now that the Star League's done there's no one left willing to pay for a machine like this, no matter how good it is."

"Even if Steiner goes through with declaring war on Marik?"

"Especially then. This's gonna be a Hunchie line in a month- the board have an idea of what sort of war this'll be, and it's going to need troops. Not whatever big command 'mech Kerensky wanted."

DeMarkus looked up at the broad chest of 'mech with Nguyen and rubbed his palms together before he went to drop his mask back down. "The only way anyone's ever gonna want to pay for one of these again is if the SLDF comes back to give us the contract."

On the 25th of June, thirty years ago, "Super Street Fighter II: The New Challenges" was released in Japan for the Mega Drive and the Super FamiCom.

"Super Street Fighter II" is an updated version of "Street Fighter II," introducing four new characters—Cammy, Fei Long, Dee Jay, and T. Hawk—bringing the total roster to 16 fighters. The game features improved graphics and audio, rebalanced gameplay, and new moves for existing characters. It was well-received for its enhancements and remains a classic in the fighting game genre.

So, I'm probably not the first person to have thought about this, but I have a headcanon that Cammy White is Lily Hawk's godmother.

My proof Lily's mom, Julia, was one of Dictator's dolls alongside Cammy and since I'm pretty sure T. Hawk is at least aware of Cammy's personal quest to save the dolls, I'm pretty sure T. Hawk and Julia had a conversation about this and not only invited Cammy to their wedding but also named her Lily's godmother because if you're gonna have someone watch over your kid when you're gone, it's someone who you know will watch over them... like a hawk...

Normally I split this type of post in two, one with characters I've already read and loved and one with characters I want to read in the future. But I haven't read too much DC, and BDS is still calling for a boycott against Marvel while the Captain America 4 movie plans to contain Sabra, a character who is Israeli propaganda personified, and I don't want to promote any Marvel characters while that is going on. So, we have a DC only edition. The only characters in this list that I've read at least one full book for are Connor, Duke, and Virgil, so I apologize if there's any incorrect information.

On the 25th of June, twenty nine years ago, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challenges was released in Japan for the Super FamiCom and Sega Mega Drive.

It is the fourth game in the Street Fighter II sub-series of Street Fighter games.

It refines and balances the existing character roster from the previous versions, and introduces four new characters. It is the first game on Capcom's CP System II hardware, with more sophisticated graphics and audio over the original CP System hardware used in previous versions of Street Fighter II.
