I can't remember where I saw this hc and it's absolutely killing me but I adoreee the idea that your last moments before you get turned into a vampire are what define you

angelus was being a violent pos and looking for a woman to end out his night. I don't doubt for a second he wouldn't have just taken what he wanted if darla wasn't willing. he was running high on cruelty for the fun of it, and becoming a vampire only exaggerated it forever

spike was reeling from a broken heart. his only desire was to love and be loved, but he'd also just been heavily ridiculed and was feeling embarrassed and angry. those insecurities and feelings were frozen in the moment dru turned him and, just like angelus, were only heightened once he'd become a vampire

darla was on her deathbed, and believed a priest was what had come to save her soul. that religious devotion carried over into her death, leading her with a strong sense of how she sees and acts as a vampire. also, the way she dresses. ofc it's probably just because of she was a sex worker, but it could also be a way to cover up the way she felt when she was sick. can't doll yourself up if you can't even get out of bed

drusilla had to deal with... well, angelus. poor girl was already explained in the shows quite clearly and I don't really feel like getting into it myself

but, oooo. doesn't it all just make perfect sense?

ik i said i was gonna sleep but then fanfic and my cat nemesis screaming. anyways thinking about how ever since i was a teen ive not wanted to have kids but wanted to foster teens cause id be too scared to fuck a kid up but my set of skills has always been on track to being that of someone good at fostering teens.

and like. idk being maggot granddyke has rlly scratched that itch? especially with the idea of maggot summer camp? i am so so so full of care. being able to teach and help and support. this is all stuff i always wanted to do. this is what i was trying to do school to. and im so grateful that i get to.

i think a lot about this elderly dyke when i worked at an old folks home who toasted me when i told her how honoured i was.

i think about the kids at my high school who tomorrow afternoon are having a st patricks day party with my mom because she is one of the adult supervision and how i started that pride club nine years ago and how having a legacy at 24 is beautiful and terrifying

i think about my roommates when i moved into my current place who were like seven and ten years older than me and declared themselves my parents, at a time when i was freshly out of inpatient and floating at best

i think about the actor at sleep no more, and me crying from the beauty of the connection of queerness

i think about a friend of mine who was a youth leader at my congregation when i was in high school who i thought was nonbinary when i first met them. they didnt realise until quite a bit later. they are one of my dearest friends now

i think about the only time i went to summer camp, a week of leadership camp. it was the first place nobody knew my birth name. where i used just they/them pronouns. it was the first place i learned of the beauty of physical platonic intimacy, where we would all cuddle, or be close while playing cards or reading my immortal

i think of all of us holding hands across the years and the time and the space. in my heart and my mind there is a hangmans tree, from peter pan. the inside is all hollow and infinitely large and there is space for all those i love.

in my soul we are at summer camp and i am yearning so deeply for that to be real in whatever way i can make it

I just had a dumb thought. “Hot Fuzz” was made because Edgar Wright was a huge fan of American buddy cop action movies and he noticed that the United Kingdom doesn’t really do action cop movies. So “Hot Fuzz” is like Britain’s tribute/pastiche of American cop action movies.

My dumb thought is, would that make “Hot Fuzz” an example of an Ameriboo movie?

Just reread this for the nth time. I am not a TF fan, don't know anything about the franchise except what I've read from AV here, and this was one of the first things I read in this fandom by them.

Two strangers who will someday be on oposite sides of a horrible war have a grand adventure seeking the heart of God. It's so cool! Very good world building and an alien society that is relateably human. It has action, thrills, and even a dusting of queer romance here and there. This isn't just a favorite fanfic for me, it's a favorite book! I have a print copy on my shelf and have even read it in braille because I can. Give it a read, you won't regret it! :)

Parallels in this "Choose Your Own Adventure" Buffy book. Buffy and Angel both want to makeout with each other in different instances, while the new Sunnydale teacher has put the whammy on the other one, and thus no kissage happens.

I just think it's kind of funny.

Basically, in this book there are three major paths depending on your choices: either Angel gets the whammy put on him, Giles does, or Buffy does.
