I am rewatching marvel movies in release order and somehow I did not realize…

Loki straight up orchestrated the potential murder of his adoptive father in order to save him and murder his birth father in order to prove his worthiness to his adoptive father.

And we just GLOSSED OVER THAT FACT and continued fighting as Loki then tried to commit

GENOCIDE

I’m sorry apparently my 13 year old brain missed that back in 2011 because oh look haha Loki lost because Thor put his billion ton hammer on his chest and he couldn’t get up and then he let go and never got his father’s approval so oh no very sad.

Umm he committed and attempted some ATROCITIES.

And he’s supposed to be an anti-hero 😅

When they went to Jotunheim in the first movie. I wonder if Loki was freezing, or just feeling the cold in general, at all?

The others must've been cold, right? Did he notice? Did he mask, like people with autism, to not make them notice he couldn't feel the cold?

Been giving more thought to the finale of Loki season 2, and I am even more convinced it was perfect. And because I say that doesn't mean I didn't like Slyvie. She was a fascinating character, and a necessary part of Loki's redemption. Not because she had to be rescued by him, but because she was his mirror reflecting back to him how he had been hurt, angry, abandoned, unloved. Where it had led him and where it was leading her and ultimately he wanted to spare her the pain of where that would lead her.

What he gave her was the chance to build a life and forge a new path free of bitterness and anger -- just as he had done when he chose to sacrifice himself to save everyone, all the timelines, but more than that the people he had come to care about. It was a lovely echo back to Thor's choice at the end of the Thor movie where he is ready to sacrifice himself for these new friends and the inhabitants of this little New Mexico town.

Sylvie and Loki were good for each other and they healed each other, and she taught him the skills he would need to save the timelines and by extension her. It was a beautiful though bittersweet arc, and it had been telegraphed from the first episode of season one where he rages about his Glorious Purpose, but he finally finds it, not in grand conquest or being worshipped by his subjects, but through sacrifice, service and friendship.

Eigentlich ist Sommer in Asgard, aber mir ist kalt. Das ist nicht verwunderlich, denn gerade bin ich nicht in Asgard. Ich hasse den Anblick, die Kälte und einfach alles an dieser Situation.

Aber der Reihe nach.

Wie gesagt: Ich bin nicht zuhause, sondern in der Welt unserer erbittertsten Feinde. Und ich bin nicht allein hier, fern von der strahlenden Heimat. Mein Bruder Thor ist bei mir. Seinetwegen friere ich in diesem götterverlassenen Nirgendwo vor mich hin und halte Ausschau. Nach Mjölnir.

Den hat es irgendwo in dieses Gebirge verschlagen – oder, besser gesagt, Mjölnir ist irgendwo hier eingeschlagen. Nachdem mein Bruder, der Narr, ihn durch ein Dimensionstor aus Asgard direkt nach Jotunheim gepfeffert hat. Eigentlich hat dieser Idiot den Hammer nach mir geworfen. Weil er aber schlecht zielt und ich nicht aufpasste, flog Mjölnir genau durch das Portal hindurch und auf direktem interdimensionalem Weg in das Land unserer größten Feinde. In das Reich der Eisriesen.
