【Antebellum/AMV】Psycho Killer

Happy Independence Day guys!! Hope you all enjoy this!

Like I've said the theme of this amv is probably: humorously(?) compressed simple antebellum history (1812-1861) group portraits into 4 minutes. So most scenes are basically related to historical facts, and the numbers there are the years of the events. However I'm historically illiterate in antebellum era, and this was something I decided to make before I even understood antebellum people lol. I hope there aren't any big mistakes x

While playing this song on repeat it suddenly struck me that everyone in the antebellum era was a god damned Psycho Killer, hence the idea for this group portrait. It's kinda sad that some of the characters I didn't get a chance to draw or that I didn't know enough about them.

E. Are they honest with their children? Are there certain things they try to shield from them?  Alex x Dexter: They're pretty honest with their children. They do try to shield them from any homophobia they deal with though, at least when they're young.

Channing x Kalani: Yeah, they're honest with their children for the most part. They definitely try to shield their kids from werewolf hunters and stuff like that though.

Carson x Juliet: They're mostly honest with their kids. They try to shield them from fame/the public a little bit though.

Emmett x Brooklyn: They're pretty honest with their kids, although they definitely don't tell them the whole truth about anything revolving around the whole murder they solved until the kids get older lol. They try to shield their kids from any homophobia/transphobia they deal with and Brooklyn is in general a bit overprotective, especially once the kids are in high school because of some stuff that happened when he was in high school.

Thomas x Jackie: They're really honest with Avery. With Thomas and Jackie being celebrities, there tend to be a lot of rumors and stuff about them online, so they make sure to be honest with Avery so she knows what's actually going on and doesn't have to find anything out through random people on the internet. They do try to shield Avery from fame and the public and the film industry because they know how awful it can be for children. It's definitely something Lisa talked to Jackie about when she found out they were pregnant, as it was something she went through.

Connor x Jesse: They're... selectively honest with their kids. Mostly just about stuff with The Power and, like, their own childhood trauma they tend to avoid talking about/lie about with their kids. They try to shield their kids from The Power and its dangers. I haven't decided yet how successful they are at this though.

Abel x Ollie: They're much more honest with their kids about The Power and stuff than Connor and Jesse are, but mainly because it's so integral to who Abel and Ollie are (Ollie chose the mixed ending, so they still have their own Power). They do try to shield their kids from a lot of emotional pain, but, like,,, there's only so much they can actually do in order to accomplish that so... yeah.

Donovan x Jupiter: They're mostly honest with their kids, but they don't really tell their kids much about what Jupiter does for work because of how dangerous it can be. They just don't want their kids to worry too much. They are both a bit overprotective though since they both had things happen to their sisters when they were kids.

INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY (2023) Grade: C+

Was at least better than The Crystal Skull and a better send off for our main character. Wasn't in love with some of the action sequences but the story is more homage to the originals.

Archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history.

Nostalgia and escapism for the whole family. Well, if you ignore the numerous (bloodless) killings.

I found the action and the chases excessive. For 2 1/2 hours the movie rarely slows down. Mostly filmed with the heavy use of green screen. Understandable considering the star of the movie is an octogenarian.

While I don't like the process in general. I have to admit that visually I had no problem with watching a digitally de-aged Ford. Scary.

The writers took some liberties regarding its purpose, I was still delighted to see the Antikythera mechanism prominently featured.Antikythera mechanism
