Soul worshipping Whole but presenting himself as a God to the others.
Re: "Here in my kingdom I am your lord I order you to cower and pray".
He covers up that he sees himself as unworthy in Harmonia's eyes by acting as a god to Heart and Mind. His deep rooted belief that he is such an inferior being to Harmonia, whose only purpose is to serve Him and His goal- shoved down and only ruminated over in private, in Soul's bed, at Harmonia's alter.
He isn't a god that's anything like Harmonia though (guiding comforting, holy, beautiful. Soul is a god in the way that he is something to be feared, something powerful), it would be blasphemous to pretend to be Him- such a divine thing. Soul is simply a humble servant to his god, with a farce of being a god himself. To control the ids.
But deep down he sees himself as something unworthy of love and devotion, he himself is a sacrifice to Harmonia.
Gods don't get a life of their own, especially ones (frauds) like him.
Or something like that :}

So, um. I made something - an au, where JD pretty much finds a whole village of trolls that escaped the Troll Tree and other hermits just chilling there
He ruins their supply storage and is made to work off his debt, so it's kinda like Cars? I dunno
Some concept sketches + a mini comic!!

I just rewatched Bad and Aypierre’s conversation about the “dirt” and this gave us so much insight into Bad’s current mindset in regards to Ron.
Bad once again called Ron valuable and family and that he’s gotten attached but his biggest problem at the moment is that Ron’s become a liability because the federation misses Ron and Tubbo is snooping.
I think that when Bad made this plan so long ago, he didn’t expect himself to actually latch onto the worker he stole. I suspect that it was always his plan to break Ron then Stockholm syndrome him - Bad himself getting attached was the unexpected factor.
Someone was eventually bound to realize Ron was missing and it was only a matter of time before one of the other islanders figured out something was wrong. Bad got all the info he needed from Ron (that blue hat workers have the info he wants) and now he’s become a liability. Before Bad got attached, he was probably planning on just killing Ron to solve that problem but now that he actually cares, he can’t. And that’s the root of the current dilemma. He didn’t plan for this.
He’s enlisted Baghera’s help knowing her good heart would force her to protect Ron for him. He asked Aypierre for advice in fooling the federation to get them off his/Ron’s back. He needs to get rid of Ron because he’s moved past his usefulness, but Bad doesn’t want any more harm to come to him which means he has to change his plans and ask for help.
I mentioned in a different analysis post that Bad was bringing Baghera into the loop so that she would take Ron off his hands and I still think that’s true. Ron is a distraction and a liability. He can’t afford to deal with this problem himself since he’s dealing with twenty other chess pieces already so he’s pushing it onto Baghera.
He played his part well insisting that she would have to promise not to interfere - which he knew she would never agree to - and insisting Ron was happy here - he even has a pool table! - so that Baghera would come to the conclusion on her own. If Bad told her that he needed her help dealing with Ron, she would insist that he help her come up with a solution. But, if Bad resists the idea then she’ll take the entire burden on her own shoulders and leave Bad’s hands free to focus on capturing Fred. I mentioned before that Bad was clearly manipulating Baghera during this conversation - and the convo today - and I think this is why.
At the end of the day, I don’t think Bad would sacrifice his over arching plans for Ron. He’s adapting his plan as best he can to protect Ron but if/when the time comes and Ron is discovered/killed/sacrificed I think Bad will do what needs to be done to continue with his grand plans. He’s already accepted that burning his relationships is a necessary sacrifice. I don’t think he’ll let Ron distract him but it’ll just add to the fire already burning him alive.

i really like the concept of an au of the original novella where jekyll diddnt commit suicide at the end, buy lived stuck in hydes body. i dont think he should be able to do what he did and get away with it unscathed.
I do like the general concept of Jekyll being permanently as hyde, but this especially, since it is unwilling and he has to face the consequences of his actions.
in the context of this im thinking that it was an attempted suicide, his final statement or whatever it was would still be there for utterson to read and have an explanation.
im not really sure how it would go from there. He would definitely not be ok, and im not sure how utterson would react to it with him still alive with the understanding of what happened.
idk it’s fun to rotate this in my head.

To me Kripe maybe intentionally or unintentionally running the boys in a similar way he ran S1-S5 of supernatural.
Stay with me but I said something to my friend about halfway through season 4 of the boys when people were feeling lukewarm about this season and, my theory was that this season is simply a two parter. As in season 4 is the part 1 and season 5 is the part 2. I think the majority agree where season 4 is still top quality and has its shining moments everything just felt tighter and shinier plot wise in season 3 and it reminded me of supernatural.
Now what happened with spn S3 was a mistake like a happy accident one of the best seasons came out from an awful set of circumstances which resulted in the writers strike and had the episodes be strictly reduced. Therefore Deans demon deal literally felt like a ticking time bomb because it literally was and him getting sent to hell early worked out very well with the set of episodes cut. The boys S3 hasn’t worked out obviously exactly like that but was also as strong and even stronger than Spn S3. But S4 of Spn is from my opinion not as strong as S3. Still good but it’s more of a season of set ups for the final conflict in S5. Obviously still has its own original plot lines that end but a lot continue. And that’s what I expected halfway from S4 of the boys.
I saw a lot of people complaining that it wasn’t as tighter plot wise season 3 and things came out of the blue, how were they going to wrap this all up and the answer is they can’t. But they’re not meant to. Like season 4 of Spn this is a two parter and the season 4 finale of the boys especially during the last five minutes solidified that. So if that means anything and we have Spn season 5 to look at as a very rough precursor for the season 5 of the Boys, this could become one of the best finales of a show yet.

percy jackson and sally jackson post BoO is class of 2013 vibes just like. sally always thought that percy was going to die young, god, she never wanted it but it was fated and then he doesn't die when he turns 16-- but only a few months later he's gone, and she-- she knows he's going to die young again. she's not gonna be the momma who has to push her kid out the door because she's not sure she has a kid anymore, and then percy comes back and he's been through hell and he-- he does need a couple extra years. he needs to be a kid and to dream a bit so yeah. class of 2013 vibes.

The back to back of Polities “open arms” (EVEN IN HIS DEATH he still believes in kindness im sobbing) AND THEN ANTICLEA singing “waiting” under Odysseus’ “I took too long, ventured to far” over his mother (who he didn’t even know was dead) who sings that she will always love him…. straight into “ALL I HEAR ARE SCREAMS” with the entire remaining crew joining in?????
Not to mention the through line of “I’m just a man” turning into “I’ll be the monster” like 😭😭😭 especially when the prophet literally talked about a man’s sacrifice… I’m literally gobsmacked

Trein - Adoption
Mozus released a deep sigh and closed his book. Lucius gave him a small meow before curling into a tighter ball in his lap. Mozus gave the feline a generous scratch behind the ear while he glanced around the small space that was his “home-away-from-home.”
It was a cozy space—with a functioning fireplace, ample shelving for his history books, and an adequate kitchenette to brew his afternoon tea. His only complaint would be being able to hear Ashton and Percival when their drinking games went a bit too far, but that was the caveat for living on the campus with the other staff. Even now, he could hear the two men giggling through the walls, their Friday night drinking already started.
Speaking of time…Lucius gave a huff when Mozus moved him just enough to retrieve the pocket watch from his pocket. The girls should be calling him soon, as they usually did when their stepmother finished her call to Asher. He had a bit to tell her tonight, especially concerning Palacios and his escalating antics with transformation potions. She had laughed off his concerns last week—stating Asher had assured her his little friend was harmless—but Mozus knew he could rally her support when he told her...
A short knock on his door brought his strategizing to a halt. With an upset mewl, Lucius jumped from his lap when Mozus beckoned him. Pocketing his watch, Mozus shuffled across the room to open the door.
He quirked a brow when he found Divus standing outside his door, looking like he had just sniffed the foulest potion he could possibly brew. “Yes?”
Divus’s eyes rudely flicked up and down. “I didn’t realize you owned something other than a suit.”
Mozus scowled at the young professor. Lucius emitted an unhappy rumble as he wrapped himself around Mozus’s ankles. “Did you knock on my door simply to insult my wardrobe?”
One corner of Divus’s mouth quirked upwards. “Perhaps that would have been a reason when I was still a student, but at this age I’m...” Divus paused. His brow caved inward, and the bridge of his nose wrinkled. “I’m in need of advice.”
Sensing the sober undertones in the younger professor’s voice, Mozus stepped aside and gestured Divus into his small apartment. Divus stepped in and quickly maneuvered around the room to stand in front of the two chairs framing the bookshelf. Divus didn’t sit until Mozus gestured him to, which earned him a bit of respect. Divus had been an outspoken rebel many years ago when he first stepped into Mozus’s classroom as a student, but that rebellion had tempered a bit during his tenure as a professor. He was still a bit of a hellion at times, but there was a maturity to it now that helped Mozus have a bit more patience. In front of the students at least.
Mozus carefully sat across from Divus. He made a small gesture for Lucius to jump into his lap, which the feline did without hesitation. Lucius’s loud purr became background noise while he spoke. “I assume the advice you're searching for is on a serious topic. Over the last decade you have taught here, you have never once sought me outside of school hours.”
Divus hummed his agreement. He shifted in the chair until one leg stretched comfortably across the other. The casual posture brought more attention to his foot jiggling in the air. “I know you haven’t made it public knowledge, but Asher Kindle is your stepson.”
Mozus didn’t attempt to hide his surprise at the statement. “Indeed, he is. Though his mother and I both agreed it was for the best he maintain his father’s surname. I had believed that would keep anyone from drawing a connection between us after he enrolled.”
Divus twitched one hand in a dismissive gesture. “I’m not here to accuse you of favoritism. I’m sure anyone would immediately catch on to such a thing considering your reputation among the students.” That singular curl of Divus’s lips returned when Mozus scowled at him. It quickly drooped again, and his foot jiggled a bit more. “If you don’t mind me asking, did you fully adopt the boy?”
Mozus blinked, and his annoyance simmered once more into surprise. Lucius’s tail flicked under his chin when he stopped petting. “Indeed, I did. Just as my wife adopted my daughters. We are a family in every sense of the word.”
Divus hummed and leaned back into his chair. His fingers steepled above his knee. “And the process—how difficult was it?”
Mozus copied Divus’s motions, leaning into his chair and resuming his petting motions for Lucius’s enjoyment. “It was fairly easy. All that was required was our signing a few official documents.” Mozus quirked one brow. “It helped that there wasn’t another biological parent to contest the adoption and all of the children were born in Twisted Wonderland.”
Divus gave him a nasty scowl, but Mozus challenged him with a haughty stare. The younger man wanted his advice, and Mozus wasn’t keen to dance around the topic he wished to address. When Divus’s lips remained tightly shut, Mozus continued. “In the case of Maddox, there isn’t much point in venturing down that path. At eighteen, he is considered a legal adult. I would advise more of a power of attorney status in that situation. That way if anything were to happen to the boy, you would be the one to make important decisions concerning his welfare, not his dubious father.
“As for Yuu...” Mozus hummed. “That is a trickier matter. On paper, the child doesn’t exist. If the headmage fails to find a way to send the child home, then that may become an issue when the school year ends. At the very least, the child could become a ward of the state.”
“Only because the child doesn’t exist on paper,” Divus repeated. His jiggling foot had calmed a bit. “Say there were papers that existed...papers that only needed another person to witness the signing…”
Before Mozus could question the odd insinuation, another knock sounded at his door. Divus jumped up before Mozus could and opened the door without hesitation. Percival hiccupped as he took a swaying step into the room, his lanky form bending like a piece of grass in the wind. He saluted Divus, plastering his pink bangs against his forehead. “Dr. Percival Ellington—Head Nurse of Night Raven College—at your service, ringmaster.”
“I thought I told you to hold off on drinking so early,” Divus snapped. “You’re already plastered.”
“No, I'm—.” A hiccup interrupted Percival. He rapidly blinked and paused long enough to appear baffled by his surroundings. He giggled. “I use plaster for booboos.”
Divus clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth. “You can still recite your name, which is good enough. Come here.”
Percival allowed himself to be guided over to the chairs. He gave Mozus a friendly wave. “Heya, professor! Wanna come share a drink with me an’ Gassy? We’re gonna celebrate Dee being a new daddy!”
Mozus didn’t bother answering Percival. Instead, he watched Divus pull a small packet of paper from the inside pocket of his coat and flatten the pages against the nearby side table. He shot a narrowed stare at Percival before manhandling the nurse into a position on the opposite side of the table. “Percy, just stand there and watch us sign the papers.”
“Uh huh.” Aside from his loose movements and the slight slur in his speech, Mozus could almost believe the man was sober. Until he nearly faceplanted into the table. “I’ll watch real close!”
Divus sighed and pushed Percival back into an upright position. “Just stand there, Percy. That’s all I ask.”
“Okie dokie!”
“Divus.” Mozus stood, placing Lucious into his chair. He stepped up to the table beside the younger men to get a better view of the papers Divus rapidly flipped through. His frown lengthened when he caught the heading of one page. “You can’t possibly think I would agree to this.”
“You do tend to be a stickler for the rules,” Divus mumbled. His hand never paused scribbling his initials and exaggerated signature. “But tell me—what rules are we breaking exactly? You yourself admit the prefect doesn’t exist on paper. I’m simply creating the paper trail to give her existence legitimacy. It’s really no different than a doctor signing a birth certificate.”
“Except you are no doctor,” Mozus snapped. “A child is no mere commodity to be flung around on a whim.”
Divus sighed, and his pen finally paused. He straightened from his hunched posture. He tipped his chin higher and looked Mozus straight in the eye with an unwavering gaze. “I’m aware of that. Which is why I am creating an existence for the girl. On the off-chance Crowley doesn’t find a way to return her to her world—on the off-chance she has no world to return to. As a minor, she would become a ward of the state just as you said. Taken away from what she has become familiar with and thrust into a world she still grasps to understand. Do you think anyone would be interested in taking in a child her age? Do you think she would be allowed the freedom she has found here? Her mind would rot in the public education system, where she will be told her lack of magic is a defect that holds her back, though she’s proven a better grasp at potions and the understanding of magic basics than most mages twice her age. You would subject a girl to that life simply because of a technicality of her legal existence?”
Mozus pressed his lips together. It wasn’t difficult for Divus to become...passionate on a topic. Mozus genuinely believed the younger man could have become the housewarden of Pomefiore dorm as a student had he shown more interest in potion making at the time. Tenacity was simply a nicer word than the bullheaded stubbornness Divus could embody when he wanted to.
That wasn’t entirely what Mozus saw in Divus’s gaze though. The tension in his shoulders slackened a bit. He closed his eyes and rubbed at the sudden ache between his brows. “You could lose your position here if this forgery is discovered.”
“Forgery implies these aren’t legitimate documents.” Mozus didn’t need to see Divus to hear the smirk on his face. “I assure these are completely legitimate along with the notarization stamped on them.”
Mozus couldn’t help directing a sharp gesture at Percival, who could barely stand upright without Divus consistently pushing him back into place. “And I’m to believe Percival is the notary you chose to witness this signing?”
Divus’s smirk widened. “As a matter of fact, yes.”
Percival pulled a stamper from his pocket with a happy hiccup. “I gotta stamp too!”
Mozus should have known. He had watched the two men—then students of Heartslabyul and Pomefiore—run amuck on the campus. Why wouldn’t they continue to support each other as staff? “And you truly believe you can fool the world into believing this child is a distant cousin you wish to gain guardianship over? What if someone from your family comes forward to expose you?”
Divus’s expression barely shifted, but Mozus caught the hard glint that briefly passed over his eyes. “After fifteen years of openly shunning me and pretending I never existed? I would love to see them try. Now sign the damn papers, Trein. I only need your signature to prove it was really me who signed the papers and Percival who notarized them. I’ll even let you witness the papers when Maddox and I establish a power of attorney if that’ll help relieve that rule abiding Heartslabyul spirit of yours.”
Sensing Divus wouldn’t budge, Mozus finally took the pen Divus held out to him and signed the lines Percival’s wobbly finger pointed at. Afterwards, while Divus reluctantly escorted a wobbly Percival back to Ashton’s apartment, Mozus flipped through the documentation. He paused on the front page.
Yuki Crewel—a bit common, but an easy way to explain her “nickname” being Yuu. Mozus shook his head and placed the papers in a safe place for Divus to retrieve. He settled back in his chair with Lucious and searched his bookshelf for a new book to read while listening to Ashton’s and Percival’s loud voices insisting Divus join them.
While he didn’t fully approve of Divus’s methods, he couldn’t deny the young man’s obvious attempts to give the two children under his wing one less thing in life to worry about.

cw: death threat mention.
i fucking hate that i can't say i'm anti-endo without people taking that as an opportunity to yell, harass and otherwise target me. LITERALLY JUST BLOCK ME IF IT BOTHERS YOU THAT MUCH. but, no, you're going to spend your time sending me death threats for being a traumatised person who believes in *science*. i am so tired of this stupid "discourse". i want to exist as someone with DID without needing to be asked if i support people who claim they know better than neuroscientists when it comes to the formation of my disorder.
yeah. I hate having to argue over this, but unfortunately this is what happens when groups of people get together and spread misinformation and then form a whole community towards validating that misinformation. It's shitty. And I hate it.

No clue if this was intentional or not, but during the studio recording of Your Obedient Servant, I noticed at the end when they're singing the part together, that Hamilton is louder/more clear than Burr. However, Burr gets the last word in the song.
Hamilton had higher than Burr the entire time they'd known each other, even being more remembered/respected than him after death, and yet Burr won the duel between, getting the last "word".
I might be reaching but that's okay.

There’s a thought that Crowley has insane self-control because he isn’t grabbing Aziraphale all the time, especially after they’ve stopped Armageddon. But really Aziraphale is the one with that particular self-control. He’s starving for touch. It’s why he never touches Crowley consciously. It’s always when he feels a great deal of love in the air that he reaches out, overwhelmed. But Crowley, Crowley has never had to hold himself back from touching Aziraphale. He’s always surprised when Aziraphale does it. Yes, there’s the worry from being caught, but even after, that’s not how Crowley chooses to express that love. Hell being packed with demons. Barely enough room to even breathe your own air. Of course, Crowley shows love by giving their person their own space. Letting them take up as much of it as they want. Being undeniably selfless in love. Giving and giving and never taking. It always, always surprises him when Aziraphale closes that distance, because Aziraphale is giving up that freedom just for him

The music student in my mind goes crazy when I think of what the themes for MCD characters could be
I always think about this and it’s been taking over my brain. So here themes I envision for the MCD characters
Laurence
His theme would be a tragedy. Something that foreshadows and hints to the pain that awaits him. Theres a low hum of bass and horns, slowly growing until it overwhelms the accompaniment. Reflecting his suppressed shadow knight abilities, the instincts that wail louder each day.
There’s a recurring chord progression played on a piano, a soft hopeful sound. It shines through the menacing bass, his humanity prevailing against the odds.
Eventually though, The bass and horns win out. but that chord always sings quietly.
Garroth
His theme is quieter than anyone else’s. He hides who he is, so his theme hides aswell.
Woodwinds carry the melody, a quiet and gentle song that speaks to who he is. Garroth puts other before himself, but he’s selfish in a twisted way. He protects his identity and heart by burying it deep.
The melody would fade when he looses himself. Brass takes over the melody, it’s pitch is lowered and blends into the accompanying instruments.
It prevails in the end, Strings and Woodwinds playing together in harmony as he finally accepts who he is.
Aphmau
Her and Irene have complimentary themes. Irene’s is haunted by an organ and twinkling music box. It’s hollow, she feels nothing so her sound lacks life.
Aphmaus is lively, The themes is played by a piano and violin, hopeful and strong. It ebbs and flows naturally, like the wind or ocean waves.
Her theme dims when she is losing her will. Her determination is the driving force behind everything she does, when she loses motivation the music becomes distorted.
The distortion mimics Irene’s theme. the hollow organ and haunting music box invading and playing alongside the Violin and Piano.
Eventually they blend together, Irene’s theme becomes complete and regains its energy. Because Aphmau and Irene are meant to meld together, two incomplete halves become whole.
