To me Kripe maybe intentionally or unintentionally running the boys in a similar way he ran S1-S5 of supernatural.
Stay with me but I said something to my friend about halfway through season 4 of the boys when people were feeling lukewarm about this season and, my theory was that this season is simply a two parter. As in season 4 is the part 1 and season 5 is the part 2. I think the majority agree where season 4 is still top quality and has its shining moments everything just felt tighter and shinier plot wise in season 3 and it reminded me of supernatural.
Now what happened with spn S3 was a mistake like a happy accident one of the best seasons came out from an awful set of circumstances which resulted in the writers strike and had the episodes be strictly reduced. Therefore Deans demon deal literally felt like a ticking time bomb because it literally was and him getting sent to hell early worked out very well with the set of episodes cut. The boys S3 hasn’t worked out obviously exactly like that but was also as strong and even stronger than Spn S3. But S4 of Spn is from my opinion not as strong as S3. Still good but it’s more of a season of set ups for the final conflict in S5. Obviously still has its own original plot lines that end but a lot continue. And that’s what I expected halfway from S4 of the boys.
I saw a lot of people complaining that it wasn’t as tighter plot wise season 3 and things came out of the blue, how were they going to wrap this all up and the answer is they can’t. But they’re not meant to. Like season 4 of Spn this is a two parter and the season 4 finale of the boys especially during the last five minutes solidified that. So if that means anything and we have Spn season 5 to look at as a very rough precursor for the season 5 of the Boys, this could become one of the best finales of a show yet.

HOLY SHIT I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO SEE THE NEW SPIDERVERSE MOVIE TODAY AND GAH DAMN
Here's a penny for my thoughts:
The animation team continues to impress me with the animation and in this movie more so than the first cause of how they made each universe feel
THAT OPENING (love me ambiguous openings where you slowly piece it as it continues)
Spot = traumatized silly guy turned into very dangerous traumatized guy
We all thought pavitr would be ✹TRAUMATIZED✹ but I'm so glad miles was able to help him save both (maybe he is traumatized if his universe is destroyed but let's hope not since he's so blorbo)
Love his silliness with his whole introduction introduction the romantic tension comments and "Oh he doesn't know about hobie" like a whole romantic drama is about to play out
I thought I was gonna hate hobie with how much police he was talking but I grew to be amused and fond of him (the true mvp)
Idk if this is controversial or not but even though miguel o'hara is traumatized I still don't like him (if it's not clear I hate it when people try to be "the system". Looking at you light yagami)
THE COLOR THEORY ON THIS 👏✹🙌
Like the color shifts in gwen's universe and the inverted colors on the scenes of earth 42 and gwen's universe is another on point moment
There is so much more that I can't possibly mention of the top of my head at the moment but all the visual symbolism (not just in color) is *muah*
PARALLELS (that's all I have to say)
MAYDAY 💞 is. so. ADORABLE AND CHAOTIC.
I love peter b. parker having a child cause he liked the idea of raising his child to be like miles... cause he's a good person
Also peter b. parker is SUCH a father figure towards miles
Speaking of miles THEY REALLY CANT LEAVE THE POOR BOY ALONE WTF (give him a break man)
The humour in this movie. PEAK. (Idgaf what you say)
I love all the cameos and references of the many spiders and will deffo pick apart every scene once I can get my hands on the full length movie on my pc
They make every spiderperson's attack feel unique and get creative with techniques and styles
I love the 2d-3d look it has as always
I love miles' parents and its nice to see gwen reconcile with her dad
GOOD OLD PARKER TRAUMA
EARTH 42. ITS ALL CONNECTED. THAT REVEAL WOAA.
I'm glad they brought back the old spiders that miles first met into the squad

OH MY GOOOOD OKAY 
Couch Scene -- OHHHH GOD the couch scene ugh UG H yes it was so perfect, ok, when he tells her he wants to help her keep the world spinning and it was so perfect in terms of the dose of romance, it was just there, like a suggestion, and you can FEEL the tension and its literally the slice of life i needed 
the monopoly scene -- like that was just so sweet, it had the innocence of kara not quite knowing yet but suspecting, and it was just so -- so harmless, i loved it
sad!couch scene, as in when mon el comes in and kara’s crying and they just... they just cuddle. That means so much more to me. You can tell their relationship isn’t a physical “wow we have this tension between us” but they sOOO genuinely care for each other. my dead fucking heart actually pounded when she nuzzled her face into his neck ok, like its SO intimate and there’s so much more... trust? there? to me? like its deffo the ace talking but physicality is one thing, but to trust him to see her at her lowest, to be that close, to acknowledge the comfort that’s his arms... ugh. u gh 
COMETS. LITERALLY FUCK ME UP OK he was all ur eyes like comets and melissa is STUNNING and everything about it was so beautiful, owning up to his somewhat problematic reason to being a superhero but then being like “it ok lets still be partners” and im like heckie yes thankz
ok this one is so hard bc i love them all but honestly, h o n e s t l y, I think it has to be the last scene of 2x07 when mon el is just sitting there and sees her, just sees her, is a dork and asks about mating and latching, but he just... looks at her. and she looks at him. and she smiles, in this super natural way that doesn’t seem scripted like the same way you’d make eyecontact with anyone across the room and he just... he just can’t help but to smile. both of them. and it’s such a GENUINE moment and I was like wow yet again my dead heart stirs

I honestly don't know how many parts of this there will be but deffo at least 3?? keep giving me ideas in my asks (for anything, not just this)

“Mycroft; its been two weeks!” Mycroft shuffled his feet uncomfortably, scuffing the shiny, laminated floor of his office as he cowered just inside the doorway.
“Thats only a fortnight-”
“Don't you smart talk me young man! fourteen days you made me and your father worry over you for, not a second thought thrown our way!”
Mrs Holmes was on a role, her condescending tone giving Mycroft major war flashbacks to his youth. In truth; of course he knew stunts like this were unkind to his loved ones, his family. This was his brothers department, not his own, Mycroft himself had always managed to stay in touch with his parents some way or enough whether it was between interviews (or roastings) with world leaders or spin class - Mycroft was known for being reachable and his family had been no exception to this. 
“You're sulking aren't you?!” 
“Mummy, im not sulking”
Mrs holmes turns to Mr holmes and mummers, as if they aren't in the same room, “ He's sulking, darling”
Truth be told, Mycroft was sulking, but not because of his parents. The man was fast approaching middle age, he had a career that thrived and more money than you could shake a hat at, but he knew this wasn't enough for him parents (or himself). Mrs Holmes had never kept it a secret that she wanted grandchildren and Mycroft had even heard his father rejoice at the idea of tutoring a young boy in the arts of football. 
Mycrofts memory was scarred by the event he interrupted one year ago; walking in on his parents cooing over One Born Every Minute.
And although child labour wasn't exactly Mycrofts scene; even as a child he had always just assumed he would marry and settle down. After all, that was the natural order of things - grow old, marry, have a few children and raise them. In action, life was much more complex than that, much scarier and much more exciting, but he still hadn't given up on that idea of a white picket fence. 
“My, Is it okay if i clock off ear- Hello”
The rooms tension shifts as the Holmes’ heads all snap round to the door, Where Y/N stands, hair slightly ruffled and cheeks rosy.

“Y/L/N, whatever’s the matter” Mycroft studies back to the door, grabbing ahold of your shoulder, attempting to steadying you, but your attention is already on the two guests in the room. 
“Mycroft, introduce us too your friend” Mycroft holds back his scowl at his mothers implying tone - clearly her years of trying to set him up with a ‘lady friend’ had tampered with her vision enough for her to not notice the fact that you were clearly working for him. 
“Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N” Mycroft watches you make a swift movement to shake her hand, but Mrs Holmes has already grabbed you into a less-motherly-more-bear-like embrace, winking at him over your shoulder. 
“Oh its really wonderful too meet you, Y/N, Mycroft never does tell us anything of his associates!” Mr Holmes is also up, giving your bewildered self a firm handshake. 
Silence takes over the room, and his mother shoots him an expecting glare.
“Y/N, meet my parents” Mycroft huffs, half heartedly. 
“lovely to meet you Mr and Mrs Holmes”
“Oh please darling, call us-”
Mycroft sees this as his time to interject; squeezing your shoulder, he turns fully towards you,
“Y/N, whats the issue?”
You struggle to regain your wits, not an easy ask as the warmth from under his hand is very apparent to your brain at this moment. 
“Its Stevie, his teacher was just on the phone, he was in a fight again-”
“And you need to go and collect him” Mycroft gathers, causing you to sheepishly nod.
Your brothers challenging antics were not exactly new, but had become more frequent in the past few weeks. 
“Go” Mycroft gestures to the way our, nudging you slightly before removing his hand from your shoulder. 
After a smile of appreciation you whirl around, breaking into a swift jog as you pass through the corridor. 
“And don't you dare run in those heels!” Mycroft scolds after you, before closing the door and  returns to his parents, to find his mother and father exchanging a rather large knowing grin. His dismisses them, sitting at his desk and throwing open a folder of some classified information or another. 
“Id like it if you left now” He comments. To his surprise , his parents oblige, but not before his mother gets in the last word, 
“We are having a get together next Friday, we expect to see you and your girlfriend sat at our dinner table”, before he can correct her, they have left.
