i recently started properly watching the haikyuu stageplay and there is. SO MUCH. I love about it. the volleyball always rolling in front of hinata to symbolize how hes always finding his love and passion for the game? Amazing. the echoing “faster” that grows louder and louder when tsukishima taunts kageyama about being a dictator on the court, not only a great transition to show some backstory but also show how much the situation haunts him? Brilliant. and those are just STORYTELLING DETAILS. the choreo represents the actions taken and chaos of the sport so WELL and especially the fact that so much of it is group focused, having all of these incredibly intricate and elaborate dances with a huge cast to put emphasis on teamwork and collaboration and how everyone is an important part of the story and how steady buildup can be beneficial in the sport. And the TECHNICAL DETAILS ARE INCREDIBLE the lighting the sfx, especially as someone who wants to pursue media production and directing this stuff BLOWS ME AWAY and it’s always looking at art like this that makes me SO eager to make things like that myself

Aah ty for the ask this is so general there’s so many facts and things um (edit I didn’t mean to write a whole essay you don’t have to read the whole thing)

Recently I’ve been enjoying learning about spiders which is ever so slightly ironic considering how afraid I was of them and how I still am a bit scared to come across ones I’m not familiar with. Learning about them makes them so much less scary though. A lot of the most venomous and scariest spiders are actually relatively docile and won’t bite unless threatened or they’re a mother with babies. In the US there hasn’t been a death from a black widow bite in 40 years bc their bites are rare and able to be treated. A lot of venomous spiders can actually administer dry bites too or control the amount of venom they inject which is super cool. Since their venom is used to kill prey, when they bite a human it’s usually just in self defense so a lot of bites from deadly spiders aren’t actually that dangerous. Ofc it’s still imperative to seek treatment just in case you have a reaction or they did inject venom (although you’d be able to tell there’s some nasty symptoms). Most cases are able to be treated, too, with anti-venom and while not a pleasant experience they’re rarely deadly.

One of my other interests rn is misconceptions/misidentifications. Which ig ties into spider bites. One common myth is that daddy longlegs spiders are super venomous but their fangs are too small to bite humans. This is very wrong for several reason uhh first is that daddy longlegs is a super broad term used to refer to cellar spiders (actual spiders of the araneae order), harvestmen (arachnids in the opilione order so Not Spiders), and crane flies (these are literally flies as the name suggests. They…. They aren’t spiders they have wings they aren’t venomous. Although they do have long legs). Cellar spiders are a little venomous but their venom poses little harm to humans (just a typical insect bite yk) and they rarely bite humans. Harvestmen actually don’t have venom and don’t have fangs just hollow claws used to grip. Which can’t harm people.

Another quickl thing (I promise I’ll stop soon you invoked a topic I’m incapable of being normal about and gave me no limitations or anything so I’m on a ramble there’ll be no survivors etcetc) is also about flies. A lot of people assume those itty bitty sweat bees that hover around you at the park or whatever are actually more likely to be hoverflies (instead of a real sweatbee)! They only have one set of wings (unlike a bee) and no they can’t sting. I told this all to my friend at a concert who was being very annoyed by the one following her around and after explaining them and marveling over the super cool patterning of the calligrapher flies (specific type of hoverfly) they actually came around and admitted they’re very cool and it was a lovely moment bc once you know more about something then you can accept it more yay woohoo.

GOOD TO KNOW REAMER HAS LIKE NO GENUINE FRIENDSHIPS/LH. Okay but Brek being basically told and taught to stick close to Reamer and the fact Tiraa and Reamer even knew eachother as kids kind of highlights the fucked up nature of eagle society and the general hierarchy. I feel like there's something to be said about how transactional most relationships are (either between higher ups or murders) and how idk. Choso headcanons

He likes to listen to indie bands

There's just something about having a band "all to himself" and being the sole fan where ever he goes

But after a while starts to feel a little lonely not having any fellow fans for friends

Doesn't really see the point in people taking care of plants in their home, especially those that only bloom once and then they die

Isn't a dog or a cat person, he likes both

Would want to learn at least the basics of every skill he can find

His favourite day of the week is friday

Stays up super late even thoigh he promises himself to fix his sleep schedual

Keeps fit and builts muscle to protect his family

If he meets people who are pretty agressive about their opinions and unable to listen to a different point of view he just up and leaves, doesn't want to waste the energy

His favourite part of working out is laying down and letting his body cool

Learned how to cook so he could take care of his brothers

At the begining he would be just observing you

The one i mainly thought about was Sylph, who i think is Lokis kid, especially since its often known that they're genderfluid shapeshifters, which just fits them extremely well

Here are my ideas for the windows! (I only drew out three of them so far because i did them during history class)

Grians window is of him standing in the vast dessert. The sun is blaring behind his head and his hair and shawl are blowing in the wind. He has his macaw wings, but their tattered from explosions and the such— only one eye is visible, tears flowing down his cheek and a purple tint to his usual eye color. Only one hand is stretched out, the wind blowing red sand from it. The rimming is gold with soft spirals and edges, symbolizing the softness he felt for Scar (and a very bad doodle of it for you)

Scott's window is a little more elegant. He's standing on a tree, like he was when he got his last kill, and he has a hand over his heart. His other hand is outstretched in a pinky promise to the other two G's, promising his loyalty and the full truth. The scene is at night, with stars creating a small halo around his head. He's also starting directly at whoever is recreating this scene with a soft smile. The rims are shaper, symbolizing the harsh winter that Last Life took place during and the brutality of the game itself. Theyre silver

Pearl's window is the first one to not be directly looking forward, instead looking somewhere out of the scene. She's giving a salute as wind comes rushing at her and there's a glow from a nearby explosion. Her hands and knees have frostbite on them, and her eyes are tired from countless nights alone. Her tower can be seen in the background, and there's the moon behind her head. Stars scatter the night sky, but are flickering in and out of visibility. Tilly is sitting near her feet. The rims of this one are ridgid and broken, made of slowly oxydizing copper, showing her broken and decaying heart.

Martyn's scene is underwater, with seaweed flowing around him and coral poking out of his head. He has a hand raised with a timer striking 0:00 in it, and his other hand covering his eyes. The water makes his hair flow and his ears visible, making his window the only one to have ears included and not eyes. Even thoigh he's in the water, theres still a red planet—Mars—behind his head, reflecting against the waves and creating a contrast to an otherwise very green and blue window. There are bubbles surrounding him. The rim mimics the coral on his head, made of diamonds. Innocent and beautiful, but harsh and cruel if forged in the right ways.

Scars window is another unique one. His head perfectly aligns so it's infront of Bdubs's Earth-Base, somehow repaired from the fires. He's standing in a feild of sunflowers at night, facing away. The black of his cloak shows, as well as his hat, both adorned with lilacs and poppies over black fabric. His face is entirely obscured by the hat except for his sad smile. The rim is amethyst, mimicing the Evo symbol. There are swirls along it that look vaguely like writing from afar.

Cleo's scene is in a village. Pluto is behind her head and she's got a VR headset that she's actively taking off. She looks exhausted from the final fight, but happy that it's over with. One of her eyes is still blocked by the headset, the other changing between closed in relief to open and looking at people passing by. It changes whether she's due for another visit to the castle or not

Joel's is the only one expressing real joy. He's holding an enderpearl in one hand and a sword in another, the enderpearl having a comet-like trail behind it. Around his neck is a key to the car thats silhouetted behind him. There are references to various wold cards around him, like curls in the frame resembling snails, lighting striking in the back for the trivia bot, and a clock around his waist to keep track of how fast they're moving. Overall he just looks cool and happy to be there, a stark difference from the other winners

And failing that, he can bury himself up to like, the knees or waist just because he can. Or Lambert, if he wants, the sand's nice and cool. It's a win-win situation!

By the Goddess, was it really that obvious? Sure, the bruise was visible, but…he thought he had been doing a good job in at least maintaining his composure. It seemed that his efforts needed to be refined still, this was far from the first person to notice it and approach him about it so far and if it kept up or remained as obvious…then it could be a weakness to be exploited.

But now he’d open an exception, once he saw that the one approaching him was Edward. A neutral gaze melting into a caring smile as he saw the boy approach, fondly remembering their time fighting alongside each other in Arena and their brief game at the beach before this madness took place.

Thankfully, while Edward seemed to catch that something was off, he didn’t pry. Lambert silently thanked him for it. “Of course! I have not done that in quite a while, it should be a fun activity to try again.” He laughed warmly, getting up to follow after the boy’s lead. “Though I may be rusty in the digging department, I have trust in my skills for the matter- so worry not. Let us give it our all.”

The cool thing about the x files is that thw premise evolves as the seasons go on. In the first season there's some ambiguity about whether aliens specifically are real (thoigh they definitely encounter unrxplained phenomena that cause scully to expand her worldview). Then they begin to untangle the conspiracy around aliens and other supernatural occurrences, then they figure out The Truth and have to fight the shadow government. Also the dynamic of "one's a skeptic and one's a believer" is a little more nuanced. Scully was raised catholic and is now a scientist, so she mostly believes in stuff she can prove but gives some leeway to mysteries that might be divine in origin, whereas Mulder seems to be atheist or agnostic but will believe almost any supernatural encounter at face value, which the conspirators sometimes use against him
