I’ve seen a lot of people on both sides of the fence of how people want Vash’s hair to fall (or not fall lmao) in Tristamp season two, but I think we already have a hint?
Tumblr media
This is his corrected bounty poster from the end of episode twelve, from the official Twitter account. And while in ‘98, Vash had clearly outlined sentimental reasons for having his hair the way he does, it’s never stated that he keeps his hair Vash-style in Trimax (which Tristamp is most heavily based off of) for the same reasons. Though you could reasonably draw that line, for sure!
But Vash is and never has been the kind of person to run from his reputation. He could have, at the very least, decided to change the color or style of his coat more than he did, but he didn’t. He could have kept his hair down, but he didn’t. Even down to his boots and his gun--he is who he is, and he’s not running from that anymore, he won’t hide as Eriks. He went back to the very easily recognizable Vash the Stampede we see in the wanted posters.
So while I think that when things are tense and he’s using plant powers, his hair will be full og Vash, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re gonna see this Vash often as well. Could be wrong though! I don’t have a horse in this race because I love them both so much I legitimately can’t decide which I’d rather have lmao

I just have this strong inkling that Sylus is gonna be a strongly multi-layered character. Like yes, he is a villain, and probably with good reason. Considering how the current timeline/story is so deeply woven with the myths and other phenomena we may not know of yet, it's likely that Sylus is this anomaly who exists to bring an unexpected sequence of events that hasn't been foretold by any prophecy or past life.
Knowing that Xavier's role has allusions to time and time traveling (the current timeline we play in is the past), he's essentially breaking that prophetic rule, in a way. Going back to the main timeline to try and save the MC, destroying the protocores in Onichynus' possession...
But everything that Xavier's purpose is, maybe Sylus has exceeded that already or intends to, at least. Since he's been watching the MC this whole time, and has seen her with Xavier/Lumiere... the central rivalry will transpire between those two. I can also see a rivalry between Rafayel and Sylus, only because Raf seems to have the deeper connections when it comes to networking and who does what, etc. (And with Zayne who became a cardiac surgeon with the intention of saving MC, it's likely a tense rivalry between him and Sylus would gradually turn into something of neutral ground.)
Anyway, my point of it all is: Sylus will break the pattern. Whatever curse there is that has been placed on MC, his existence seeks to rid of that curse by any means possible. I do truly believe he wants to let the world burn for her, and the protocore experimentation serves a greater purpose of trying to save her...

I have noticed a TRICK lately on a lot of new, extremely hyped books
which is that for the first 24 hours of checking out your libby hold, the book is libby-only. Many people do not like libby-only books, bc you have to read them on your phone/tablet and cannot read them on your kindle, so perhaps maybe you will go to Amazon and just buy the kindle version!
but then sure enough the next day the kindle version shows up in your libby. This just happened with Intermezzo! I am betting it also might happen on books for which our license is by number of checkouts rather than duration, bc I think people are more likely to return the book early without reading it if it's libby only and then the library is forced to buy a new copy bc it's been checked out 25 times or whatever. A TRICK.
Do not be tricked by Amazon and their grip on the big publishing houses! The Kindle version will come to you! Do not buy a kindle version and do not return it!
If it's an old book and libby-only, I'm sorry, you're probably stuck with it.

"The newly widowed Elizabeth (Woodville) was exceptionally vulnerable. Several of the trustees responsible for her jointure refused to hand over the manors that were meant to sustain her in her widowhood. Moreover, her brother-in-law, Edward Grey, had seized estates that her son Thomas should have inherited from his paternal grandfather, while her mother-in-law’s new young husband, Sir John Bourchier, had prevailed on Lady Ferrers to settle her principal properties on them jointly for life, ensuring that Thomas would have to wait far longer for this inheritance too. Rivers and Scales were pardoned in July 1461 and swiftly moved into the Yorkist establishment, which perhaps explains the success of the chancery suits Elizabeth launched to regain her jointure. Her son’s inheritance proved harder to recover. By 1463, Rivers was often in (Edward IV's) company and on his council, but Elizabeth needed someone with much stronger influence over the King. She turned to a distant kinsman, William, Lord Hastings, the King’s chamberlain. Hastings drove a very hard bargain for his aid but it was probably amid these negotiations that the King’s desire for Elizabeth was kindled."
-J.L. Laynesmith, "Elizabeth Woodville: the Knight's Widow", Later Plantagenet and Wars of the Roses Consorts: Power, Influence, and Dynasty
#historicwomendaily#elizabeth woodville#Elizabeth really had terrible in-laws#And these people weren't even the worst of them - that particular award goes to Richard of Gloucester#As complicated as her first widowhood sounds it was a breeze compared to the literal nightmare she went through during her second.#Honestly though: part me wonders what Elizabeth's first marriage was like because we know absolutely nothing about it.#The marriage itself is a blank slate but the fact that her husband's parents & siblings were so indifferent and uncooperative#to her - and their own kid-grandchildren?? - after he died indicates that his family may have been rather dysfunctional imo?#Certainly they (or most of them) don't seem to have cared about the wellbeing or dignity of his young and newly widowed wife which#doesn't exactly suggest closeness or support during the marriage itself from their end.#Elizabeth doesn't mention John Gray in her deathbed will either though she mentions Edward IV. She may have thought it was#'inappropriate' to mention her first husband beside her significantly higher-ranked second husband...but she DOES mention her son by#her first marriage - which would have drawn attention to it anyway - alongside her royal daughter so that's unlikely to have been a reason.#Maybe it was simply the passage of time? She and John had been married for very few years and she lived such a different life after that#So it's possible that her first marriage simply seemed very distant and faraway to her.#Alternatively it may have simply been undivided affection for Edward IV (her husband of 19 years who she married for love)#which fits well into the relatively personal nature of her will.#Of course we don't actually know anything about any of this and this is all pure wild speculation on my end...but I'm curious.#It's really a shame how little we actually know about Elizabeth's life - made worse by the very limited primary records of Edward IV's#reign and the fact that his chamber records don't survive. And it's even more frustrating that this is so rarely actually acknowledged#by historians. I'd argue we know far more about the life & interests of most other 'prominent' women of the Wars of the Roses#(sans the Neville sisters) than we do about Elizabeth Woodville.

Do you still ship Ronance?
This actually has funny timing, considering I just did a dive back into the ronance tag on tumblr and Ao3 yesterday!
Yes, I still ship ronance. Aside from not posting regularly recently, I dont think I've done anything to indicate otherwise? This has always been a ronance and jancy positive blog, with greater focus on Ronance.
I love anything that would make Nancy happy, and boy, does she gravitate towards Robin. Robin both supports and validates her in a way no one else in the show quite has yet, while simultaneously challenging her. She brings a quick wit and light to dangerous situations that perfectly compliment Nancy’s focus and drive. Robin's also another of my favorite characters in the show.

"#specifying white British because I feel like the ponglish/other European British kids are better than this" are white people in uk, who are not just british, not that obsessed with taylor swift? if so, that's an interesting observation
Mostly meant it as a joke but sort of? Eastern European migrants and their kids have been heavily scapegoated by UK politicians so at least from what I’ve observed tend to be more wary of the whole ‘I’ll stand for you when it benefits me but once shit hits the fan you’re on your own’ than people who consider themselves just white British. They also on average tend to be poorer because we don’t pay our key workers enough so there’s a wealth divide there too which doesn’t really fit swift’s target fanbase.
And idk at least where I am she’s not at the same level of fame or ‘coolness’ as in the US and is mostly popular with people who have the ability to consume large amounts of USAmerican media in general.
This is just from my experience though and I fit into neither of those demographics so feel free to correct me!

So, it makes me kind of curious some of the stuff that has been revealed lately about Danny Phantom for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 game...
Danny has been revealed with some new moves and stuff to play
Tumblr media
Ember has been confirmed as a playable character too
Tumblr media
And Vlad Masters has been semi-confirmed to be some type of main antagonist/boss in the game in a promo art, which is interesting, since he was cut out from the previous game.
Tumblr media
It's interesting to see how this game appears to have more Danny Phantom content than the first game in comparison, specially considering that Danny Phantom is an old franchise that didn't have new stories until very recently (A Glitch In Time graphic novel).
I know this is a game but it makes me wonder if this is hinting for a bigger Danny Phantom comeback or more Danny Phantom related content in the future (Maybe some comics spin-off?)

okay so before I go to sleep I just wanna mention a different speculation I have for purge march
Tumblr media
so I said before that this could be solider imagrey, and the reason why Amane is dressed up in a marching band uniform is because of the running theme in magic that she has a more 'kiddy' outlook on the things happening to or around her but I think you could also look at it a different way.
Marching bands are all about uniformity right? Everyone has to play the right note at the right time to make it work, but ultimately they're all working together to play the same tune the leader tells them too. They're litteraly marching to the beat of somebody else's drum, it's a darker twist on the otherwise optimistic saying. Amane seems to be shown as the leader of the marching band, telling everyone else what to play.
I think this might be after Amane does that magical girl transformation at the end of Magic - maybe it's something akin to a higher rank, garnering more respect? She's seen as the optimal follower after her indoctrination so everyone else in the cult wants to, and should, follow the beat of her drum.

Ok maybe I posted this here already, but I’ve got a Ultrakill ending prediction
There have been major hints that Gabriel will be decapitated. We also don’t have the gold arm. Put this with that one blurb I saw about Dante’s Inferno having the very bottom of hell loop back to heaven (don’t take my word on this. I could be so wrong).
I’m guessing that the game is going to end with v1 taking Gabriel’s head and arm/swords to the gates of Heaven. Just as the final ending cinematic.
It’s been said that Ultrakill is planned to have an open ending that leaves room for a sequel (I think, also don’t take my word for this, it was in a dev stream). Assuming that v1 isn’t destroyed at the end of the game, what else is it supposed to do for blood? Surface is empty, hell is empty, but heaven is still full. Angels bleed too, after all.

richardiii and frideswide lovell? I am only just hearing of this
Hi! We don't know the truth and don't know the exact details, but yes, that's definitely a (potential) relationship worth discussing!
For those who are unaware, Frideswide Lovell was the daughter of John, 8th Baron Lovell, and his wife Joan Beaumont. This made her the sister of Francis Lovell, the future chamberlain and best friend of Richard III - who she may have had a personal connection to in her own right.
Frideswide seems to have been much younger than her siblings and was not born before 1363, most likely in 1464. She was orphaned soon after her birth, with her father dying a year later and her mother a year after that, leaving her to spend her childhood and adolescence in the household of her brother's parents-in-law. The first properly contemporary mention of her is found in the 1470 pardon Edward IV's government issued for Henry FitzHugh and all those in his household. Unfortunately, not much is known about her beyond that, including the kind of education she received.
When she was around 16, Frideswide married the 15-year-old Edward Norris, oldest son of William Norris of Yattendon and his first wife Joan/Jane de Vere. The teenage couple had their first son, John, in 1481, followed by a second son, Henry, a year later. The latter would be executed in 1536 as one of Anne Boleyn's alleged lovers.
Here's where it gets interesting. As we know, Richard III became King in 1483 after deposing his nephews. Michèle Schindler, author of the book Lovell Our Dogge: The Life of Viscount Lovell, Closest Friend of Richard III and Failed Regicide, has speculated that Richard may have been having an affair with Frideswide, aka his best friend's sister, during that time.
To quote Schindler from a blog post about Frideswide:
In 1483, Frideswide received a "reward" of 50 marks from Richard III after he was crowned king. Perhaps it was this, her support and closeness to her brother`s close friend, that caused a rift between her and her husband, and the couple was divided over political opinions which they needed some time to overcome. Edward`s father William, who had originally supported the Lancastrian cause, had accepted Edward IV as king, but rebelled against Richard [in support of the Princes in the Tower] in autumn 1483. Edward Norris may have supported this, though he never acted against Richard, while Frideswide seemed to support Richard.
However, there is evidence from 1484 which throws a rather different light on Frideswide`s marriage and her relationship to Richard. While her "reward" from 1483 could well have been simply a gesture of friendship by the new king towards his closest friend`s sister, their interactions clearly did not stop there. In August 1484, Richard granted her an annuity of 100 marks, a rather large sum. While this has traditionally been assumed to have been because of her father-in-law`s rebellion, leaving her husband disinherited, this does not seem to have been the cause. None of William`s other children, nor his wife, was granted anything by Richard.
Naturally, it could be that Richard chose to favour Francis`s sister over the rest of her marital family, but this is contradicted by two facts: one, that the grant was for unspecified "services" to the king, not, as that to other traitor`s relatives, as a compensation, a generous gift by the king. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, is that a second grant of an annuity of 100 marks was made from the same venue, dating from 10th January 1485. This grant was not a confirmation of the first, but was added to it, meaning that Frideswide received 200 marks yearly from Richard, a sizable sum, more than the Countess of Oxford, or even his own mother-in-law, received.
The key to this may lie in the fact that the second grant was dated back nine months, and appears to have been made just after Frideswide gave birth to her third child, a daughter called Anne. Very notably, the grants to her, for unspecified services to the king, have the same wording as one to Katherine Haute, a woman often assumed to have been the mother of Richard`s illegitimate daughter Katherine, Richard made years earlier.
Equally notable is that Richard made grants to Francis on the same days as he made those to Frideswide, as a compensation for equally unspecified services, and that Frideswide appeared to have lived with her brother [rather than her husband] while pregnant.
That Henry Norris, in later years, appeared to not treat Anne as his sister, and that William Norris, Edward`s father, later favoured Frideswide`s sons, even apparently helping them become established at court, but not Anne, might also point towards the idea that there was at least a question mark over Anne`s paternity, and that she may have been Richard`s.
If so, Frideswide was in a bad position after Richard`s defeat and death at Bosworth only eight and a half months after her daughter`s birth. It seems, though, that she and her husband Edward made the best of it, and even reconcilliated. In around 1486, Frideswide gave birth to her last child, a girl called Margaret, presumably after Edward`s sister. From surviving documents, Margaret seemed much closer to her brother Henry and her grandfather William, again showing up a difference to Anne."
Of course, we don't explicitly know if this is true - and if it is true, we don't know the exact details - but the circumstantial evidence is indeed very strong, and it seems very plausible to me. I would love to know more about Frideswide, who seems to have had a very interesting and tragic, albeit mostly unknown, life.
In short, it's very interesting and opens up a lot of possibilities, for sure!

I think I should clarify that when I say I think the full depth of the Jiang Cheng brainrot was accidental on MXTX's part. It's like... obviously there was a lot of care taken to create this intense complex nuanced insane feral situation of grief and sacrifice and pain, to carefully structure the reveals and reframe the characters and situation again and again.
But I think it was an unexpected critical strike and was just a little more effective than expected (based on her expressing surprise over the general level of attention Jiang Cheng got in comments etc).
Like it seems to me that she intended to crank it up to a 10 but failed to account for the fact that Yunmeng Shuangjie feelings amplifiers are very, very special, these ones go to eleven. Right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven... it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. These go to eleven.
