𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 , 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧 Introduction to the cast!
𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝
"Plus, I'm just a "me" . Live free, Live happily. That's how I would live my life. Doesn't mean I wouldn't stop appearing to talk to you Y/N."
𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐱 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐄𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
ALL THE CHARACTERS BELONG TO HOYOVERSE!
"Isn't this time we introduce to the newly lover-? actors? May they be together in this universe ALIVE.!"
DR Y/N LN!
Dr. Y/N is a scientist
An iceberg person with a steady and calm personality who doesn't have any communication with people except for research. The genius woman who is called the last savior by the world, but no one actually knows her inner thoughts.
A mad genius who could have joined, THE genius society level, THE Intelligentsia Guild!, But she chose the express. Even she doesn't know.. Maybe, she just wants to meet the man in her dreams...?
HATES HUMANITY, BUT STILL CHOSE TO DROWN IN IT. THAN ACCEPT IT.
"Ah, I sense that you're a originally such a romantic person. Firm and Brave, but unable to let go of that innocence. Am I right? Phainon? Or. You have another name?"
Phainon
The Chrysos Heir of Aedes Elysiae, a warrior of Okhema.
A gentle and cheerful young man with a detail-oriented mind and a pursuit of perfection in everything he does.
However his smile became very bright and wants her to to notice him soon.
HE DOESN'T KNOW WHY HIS HEART...FELT FULL....WHEN SHE PASSED BY.
"Are you saying the stars in the sky are enemies. In your understanding- Those shining lights, beautiful and cruel, will swallow us all if we are not careful....In my own way I used to believe that too, But now those lights bring not only threats but also. Open up hope for the future."
There's no need to introduction this man, He is inside her dreams. He's HER dream. A nightmare..? Isn't a word for him.
DAN HENG
The cold and reserved train guard and archivist of the . Wielding a spear.
He definitely HATES you.
"You will do anything necessary just to satisfy your curiosity. Just don't be careless with your stuff. Y/n. No one wants to get hurt."
STELLE
Very funny, Too much she thinks Stelle's annoying.
She's def not close with her.
But Stelle thinks She do be a baddie not gonna lie 🥵.
"Man, You're so cool, EVEN if you're slightly insane with your work...Y/n."
WELT YANG
An animator by trade, Welt is a seasoned member of the ASTRAL EXPRESS and the former sovereign of ANTI ENTROPY who has saved from annihilation time and time again. He inherited the name of the world,
Welt's trust in her was a delicate balance—he relied on her contributions but couldn't shake his unease. Her methods, while undeniably helpful, often veered far from his ideal, leaving him torn between appreciation and suspicion. He watches her closely, not out of malice, but out of a need to ensure she didn't cross a line he couldn't overlook.
You have a knack for walking the fine line between brilliance and recklessness, "I trust your intent, but I'm watching your methods closely—don't make me regret this."
HIMEKO
She's a person who will welcome with open arms. She will understand her.
But her guard might be up.
"I TRUST you Y/N. I hope you can find something to help march.."
MARCH 7TH
March, ever the bright and bubbly optimist, made every effort to include her, always choosing to see the best in people, she believed everyone deserved a chance.
All Y/N wants is to help...Her friend. Who's now a ice. Just like how she saw her first.
March cares about her, When everyone SAW her. She held her hand and held her coat and offered her change of clothes.
"..Hey Y/N! I'll be fine. You said you're. .gonna look into it. Right? I'll be cured in no time. Good Luck. I told Dan Heng not to be...angry at you."
DR VERTIAS RATIO
If Ratio is over done with someone than Ruan Mei, It's you. Her IDEAS is too MUCH. Insanity, Ratio would perhaps check her brain. he wouldn't be super close but close enough to be considered just colleges. Dr Ratio doesn't think too highly of ppl and tends to disagree a bit
After all,
She ended universes because she COULD.
She started a project of path striders BECAUSE she could.
"I would think that DR Ruan Mei IS a SAINT compared to her, She does everything she can to "save" humanity. Trust me, If she had some other mindset. Maybe we all won't exist right now."
CASTORICE
Castorice is reserved and soft-spoken, more like a drenched, shivering cat than a sunny presence. She keeps to herself, but her willingness to help others knows no bounds. Her unique ability to temporarily bring back the souls of the dead comes at a steep cost—
it drains her to the point of collapse. Even during the most grueling moments of a quest, when she looked ready to pass out or worse, she never faltered. Despite her struggles, there's a quiet charm to her: she loves feeding animals and captures the world around her through black-and-white photos, a preference that mirrors her understated, delicate nature.
All they really want to do is help their planet and stop the attacks/war. Though they could see them becoming semi friends
"You're...really double sided. You do it because you HAVE to. Not because you WANT to, Why do you HATE Humanity so MUCH?"
AGLAEA
Beneath her seemingly calm demeanor lies a cold and calculating heart. She'll stop at nothing to save Amphoruses, even if it means crossing moral boundaries. Her ruthless determination once brought her to the brink of killing Stelle and Dan Heng—an alternate path where their lives were sacrificed for her cause. Brilliant and pragmatic,
she carefully weighs every choice, always prioritizing her planet's survival. She's unafraid to manipulate others, even using Castorice's painful abilities as a weapon to ensure her people's future, no matter the cost.
"Ah, so they're trying to play the villain? How quaint. Destroying the multiverse for HELPING? I suppose it's admirable in its simplicity, though it lacks... finesse. Experimenting on humanity is a delightful pastime, but if they're so focused on hate, they're missing the real joy of it all—the artistry, the chaos, the creation of despair. Insanity? Please. They're just another monster playing dress-up. Let's see if they can keep up when the stakes truly rise."
MYDEI
Mydei has a short fuse and isn't afraid to let it show, even if it means lashing out at Phainon when he disagrees with her. On the outside, he's all tough and gruff, but underneath, there's a surprisingly soft side to him.
As long as her methods don't threaten to tear everything apart, he's willing to look the other way. His focus is clear: saving Amphoruses is his priority, and he'll do whatever it takes to protect them, even if it means tolerating things he doesn't entirely agree with.
"She's got her ways, and I don't always agree with 'em. Hell, half the time, I can't even stand it. But if she's not gonna burn everything to the ground... I'll stick around. At least she's got a damn point—saving Amphoruses... that's the only thing that matters right now."
SUNDAY
Unlike with others, he grew close to you faster than anyone else. He sticks by your side, always ensuring you have everything you need.
Sunday knows deep down that what they're doing is wrong, but his own past—scarred by trauma and manipulation—pushes him to understand, even empathize. Having once seen the world through a similarly skewed and morally gray lens, he feels compelled to help her, perhaps hoping to guide her away from the darkness he once knew too well.
"Miss Y/n, Can we hang out more together, I wouldn't mind working under your projects too. As Long It's close to you. I don't know....Maybe I'll be fine. And I want to help you too..."
DO YOU WANT TO SAID, SHE'S JUST AS INSANE AS RUAN MEI BUT RUAN MEI DOES HAVE A HEART.
BLACK SWAN
Black Swan remains an enigma, her true intentions still largely shrouded in mystery. She would undoubtedly find her intriguing, much like Acheron. Her approach would be calculated—earn her trust, get close, and then use that connection to uncover her secrets. The thrill of unraveling someone so complex would be too tempting for her to resist, always pushing for more, always looking for leverage.
"....I would rather watch you from afar. I once danced with someone like you and..Their mind.. Let's just leave it."
Let's be real—she destroyed entire universes just because she could. DR Y/N did it for her own twisted sense of power, and she? She did it purely for the thrill, with no deeper motive than the chaos itself.
She doesn't have the tragic backstories that make most villains feel human; she's just pure, unapologetic evil. Her hatred for humanity runs so deep, her Project AEONS was designed with one goal: to wipe out every last trace of it. Even the ACTUAL AEONS called her insane, and they weren't wrong. She's not just evil—she's a force of destruction.
Competing against the NANOOK on who can obliterate the multiverse faster? That's her game. Humanity? She wants to destroy it, simply because she thinks it'll be fun. She's done inhumane experiments, and in the ultimate show of her depravity.
MAYBE, ATLEAST...
HER VIEW CAN DIFFER IF SOMEONE FIXES IT.
EXTRA CHARACTERS (WILL BE ADDED LATER)

This might sound funny and cringey, but I feel like I lost something I cared about and now it's just sadness and depression. Like it's a TV show, I get it, but we waited 2 years and for what? To get the two worst episodes imaginable. I'm really starting to believe that Sapochnik was responsible for everything good in s1, bcz Condal and Hess ruined this show. S1 wasn't perfect and I didn't like a lot of things in it, but it still managed to keep me invested so I hoped that in s2 everything would be improved. And yet, I'm so terribly disappointed. Alicent's characterization makes no sense anymore, like they want so badly to show her as a bad mother and a hypocrite and really - after ruining bnc with Alicole sex now it had to follow with her not being able to console her son but hoping on Criston is a must do?? What sort of degenerates write this??
Aemond is also ruined for me and I would love to erase that crappy brothel scene from my memory. What was it for? To show his mommy issues, vulnerability... Idc. The dialogue was bad and they did him dirty with the angles and the pose. And now he's apparently going to be there *again* in e3 and we'll get full frontal nudity. Idk why the actor agreed to this since they are obviously making a joke and meme material of his character. Not to mention that he straight up lied in the promos about being loyal (if the RR leaks are true and I'm almost 100% sure they are). I get that they are told what to say, but a more general answer would have been much better than a lie. In brief, one of my favourite s1 characters is also destroyed.
Then Cole. My god, I only waithig for him to look at the camera and say "do you hate me enough already hahah?" He's the writers punching bag atp.
Helaena barely exists.
Otto is Viserys' fanboy and ofc, appalled by his grandson. It's not as he just has lost a son and was forced to take the crown in the first place by him and his mother, no less.
Aegon got more screentime and I love Tom's performance, but I'm not fooled. He is still depicted as weak, politically inept and rash. And he'll still be a bully, apparently. Just to justify his brother's treason. F*ck you Condal, Hess and whoever else is responsible for this mess.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I just don't get how anyone can seriously praise this shitshow anymore. It could have been great, but the creators are obviously not up to the task which is now painfully obvious. I wouldn't mind the greens as villains, but don't write them as a walking joke. I'm quitting the show and would like just to forget about it. This adaptation of the Dance was a huge mistake.
I feel you! By the way, I haven't participated in any fandom life, I think, for 10 years or more, but thanks to HOTD, I started this blog, I write some critical (well, kinda) reviews, and English isn't even my native language. I've been waiting for the second season for two years and now I just feel tired and empty. So far, the only thing I've liked about these two episodes is Aegon's storyline, that's all. Everything else is bad, very bad, and judging by the leaks, it'll be even worse.
Firstly, the series has a very strange pace of the narrative. We didn't get a bunch of important plot scenes, and even those that remained were shown in a hurry, but at the same time we have many scenes like "Rhaenyra stares at the dust for three minutes", unnecessary dialogues and PAUSES between lines.
Secondly, again, an insane amount of important plot details are left behind the scenes and this is absolutely wrong. Aemond's return home, the family's reaction to what he did. Aegon's reaction when he learned of his son's death. Aemond's reaction when he finds out what his actions have led to. And so on and so forth. Many of the characters' actions are shown without context. Alicent fucks with Criston - cool, but can I have some additional information? How long has this been going on, what feelings do they have for each other, how have they developed, like, anything? The same can be said about the scene in the brothel - no context.
Thirdly, it's unclear what's going on with the characters, as if the screenwriters decided to make the greens the most unpleasant people in the world. So far, I only like Aegon and Helaena. I can't even say anything about Aemond, because his only dialogue scene is built around Daemon and Luke, damn them. I just can't.
Everything annoys me except Aegon lol. So yes, I understand you.

going INSANE about house of leaves!!!! mark z. danielewski really said you as a reader, as an external viewer will be forced to participate in making these characters' traumatic & horrifying experiences as your entertainment.¹ you will have to jump from text to text, footnote to footnote, which will let you viscerally experience trekking ever-shifting hallways or going down five days worth of stairs or opening empty doors with this persistent urge to turn back. you are complicit in forcing the narrative to re-live itself by making notes in the margins, translating texts in other languages², being one with all these fictional references that scrutinize these fictional character's lives, in minute detail under a microscopic lens. it doesn't matter how trivial. the only important thing is to perceive & solve & decode.
———
¹when i was a kid there was this book i read. it doesn't matter what the title was. of course i completely forgot about it now, but one story stuck to me. you know those Greek myths? the one with the king building a labyrinth for the bastard son. maybe the term bastard is a bit harsh. but his queen wife had sex with a bull, so when her son was born, he was half human and half bull. the Minotaur, i'm sure you've heard of him before. sometimes they also call him Asterion. anyway. so they built the labyrinth to conceal him but they also had children come into the maze to find and kill the poor guy as some sort of elaborate game. anyway, along came this kid named Theseus who succeeded in killing the monster, with the help of the princess Ariadne and her string.
²Google Translate is now always open on my phone. though it's funny because most of the time the direct translation is in the footnotes but it's always too late before i realize.

read another stupid book 😭😭 god of fury by rina kent. (SPOILERS!!!)
Stupid, terrible book. Okay let's go.
There were so many repeated phrases like "prim and proper" and "fucked-up brain". I was already bored of Brandon and his "fucked-up brain" on page 19. Be a bit more creative, please. You don't have to bash me over the head with it.
The dialogue was SO unrealistic, like, people don't say these things??? Especially Clara. I get that she's supposed to be unliked, but that doesn't mean you can't make her at least talk normally. 😭 And the nicknames. "Lotus flower" sounds stupid, I don't care what anyone says. Yes, with their dynamic, Nikolai would give Brandon a nickname, but it doesn't have to be so fucking stupid. Plus, not everyone needs one—you don't have to get a nickname out of every name out there.
The smut was okay (that's a lie, no it wasn't, I nearly cried every time). (Also the dirty talk sucked.) (And boarder-line dubcon several times...)
She screams so loud, Dad shows up at the doorway, but he doesn't make a move. No, he just watches his son and his future son-in-law take the life of a woman and smiles.
I feel like that really captures the whole essence of the book... Just the mysoginy in these "dark romances", you know? (I know Grace was a bad person but the way it's said.)
Nikolai. He wasn't funny, everything that he did/said made me cringe so hard, it was gross. You can have manic or "insane" characters without them sounding fucking stupid. And WHY did he have to name his dick and TALK TO IT LIKE IT WAS SENTIENT WTH (plus discribing him like that when he's five?? ick). He just pissed me off so much. Brandon I disliked only slightly less.
For a book about "want" and "violence" and all those dark things, it didn't seem to show it. I felt like there was a lot of tell and not showing going on. The descriptions of Brandon's mental health could have been sooo much more graphic instead of using the same phrase over and over. And put some more feeling into it. How did Brandon and Nikolai actually feel. I could have written this so much better. Angst? Easy. (I have done it, it was so much fun.) (I am actually tempted to rewrite the goddamn thing.)
There was also just a general lack in character interactions. I didn't know Mia was Deaf until 75% of the way through. I feel like that's an important detail. (TBF, I do miss things but it should be clear enough that I can't miss it.) And Brandon and Lan's supposedly "great and loving" twin relationship? Is the relationship in the room with us? Just. Character interactions are fun. You get to show people's dynamics and make silly jokes and things. Plus you kinda need it for a story...
Also. What is it with these people and their cousins. I can't remember who's related to who and, not gonna lie, it's starting to sound incestuous.
Waste of my time.
this is basically word-for-word my storyboard review
I was looking at Goodreads reviews, and the amount of people that gave it 5 stars and said this was their first mlm 😭😭 Go read some good old AO3 smut, please.
And I was telling my mum about it (excluding some details, of course, like the TOTALLY UNNECESSARY amounts of smut) and she said, "Even I'm finding this book annoying, and I haven't even read it." (direct quote lol)
Genuinly this could have been such an interesting idea but it's just not executed properly.
My sincerest apologies to AFTG, but it does kind of remind me of it. I don't really know, just the manic behaviour of Andrew and Nikolai (yes, they are for different reasons) and mafia stuff, but I could never bring AFTG that low.

Hey guys! I'm back to talk about something that I've been thinking about for a solid week and I'm ready to info dump.
So, I've been thinking about just how much Percy and Luke are the same character. They are so much the same and it's really amazing just how much detail and thought Rick put into making it where Luke and Percy go through so many of the same things and life experiences.
Like, It's something that I had noticed from the beginning, but it wasn't until just recently when I reread some parts from The lightning thief, and the from The diary of Luke short story, that I realized just how similar Luke and Percy are.
Let's start with just the way both of their characters are written. They both have the same underlying anger towards their fathers for leaving their mother's alone to deal with terrible things. In Sally's case, that is Gabe. In May's case it's the curse of Delphi that has driven her insane.
Both Luke and Percy have the same feelings of self doubt. The way they treat and talk to their friends or people they consider important, are very much the same. They act the same towards people who they don't know and don't trust. They have that same underlying snarky humor. It was scary how when I was reading TDoL, that I thought I was just reading something from Percy's pov.
And that's far from all of it! Another thing that I realized that they have in common is that there is a character that represents the promises that they couldn't keep or fullfil. Let me explain.
With Luke, that character is Annabeth. In TDoL, Luke promises Annabeth that Thalia and he would be her family. Did he know how to even be a family given that he had never had one? No. But he was going to try for Annabeth. However, he wasn't able to keep that promise, especially with Kronos brain washing and manipulating him. Breaking that promise is something that he feels guilty for all the way to his death. It was a constant reminder that he had failed those he held dear.
With Percy, that character is Nico. In The Titans Curse, Nico makes Percy promise that he would protect Bianca and make sure that nothing happens to her. Percy says that he's not sure if he could do that. He had no idea he would even be able to protect himself, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't try to keep his promise to Nico. Unfortunately, he's not able to and Bianca dies. He wasn't able to keep his promise and that guilt follows him. And Nico himself was a reminder for sometime of the promise that Percy wasn't able to keep.
So in short, Nico is to Percy what Annabeth was to Luke. A physical manifestation of their inadequacy and failure.
Both Percy's and Luke's stories have so many parallels to them and it's quite clear to see. Which is why I find it a bit funny when others say that, "Percy would've never done what Luke did!" To which I have to say, "are you sure?"
Because really, there would've only needed to be one major change and Percy could've easily ended up in Luke's position. If Sally wouldn't have been a strong pillar for Percy. If she would've ended up like May, it would've been quite easy to get Percy to change sides. Because it's quite evident that Percy loves Sally and would do anything if it meant making her happy and keeping her protected. If Kronos would've went to Percy instead and promised to help Sally and keep her protected, Percy would've joined him. Because let's not forget that Percy's fatal flaw being loyalty gets him into some rough situations if he thinks that he'll be able to help or save a loved one. It would've been easy for Kronos to manipulate him like that.
The only main difference with Percy and Luke, is that if Percy would've been the one that Kronos was able to manipulate into being his vessel? He would've won. With Percy's amazing power and strength combined with the power of Kronos, the gods would've never stood a chance. Not to say that Luke didn't have his strengths. He was cunning and charming. He had a fierce determination to see change. He was able to rally others to his cause.
However, Percy also shows those same attributes in his own journey. There is a reason why everyone else at Camp Half Blood so willingly rallied behind him and trusted him as leader, and it wasn't just because of the amount of times he had saved the world at that point. There was a reason why so many people were drawn to Percy, and not all of it was just Aphrodite playing with his love life.
Long story short, Luke and Percy are basically the same character with just how much they have in common, and I think it's time that we talk about it more 😌💜
(Ps. Sorry I wasn't on here for a good bit. I'm ok, life has just been... Rough. But I'm back to my usual delusional ramblings again 😌👌)
#but seriously#i could write a whole essay on this#because there are just that many parallels that it insane#luke castellan#percy jackon and the olympians#pjoverse#percy jackson#nico di angelo#riordanverse#nico pjo#hoo fandom#annabeth chase

14 years since Never Been Kissed aired. Did you watch it live? Where were you? Did you think it would be the start of something major - one of your favorite ever ships?
Ohh, interesting question!
It's kind of funny to try to remember details of something that did happen nearly fifteen years ago. the tl:dr version of how I started watching Glee was that I wasn't in a great place in Mar of 2010, and a friend of mine had given me the DVD of Glee S1 Part 1 (because that's a thing that happened back then.
And I watched it and I was, meh, it was fine. I mean, DSB gave me literal chills. But I didn't really connect with any of the characters (and omg did I find Terri and Ken annoying). And it's funny, Kurt I had a hard time with -- not at all because of the gay thing, but because his crush on Finn hit a little too close to home and I was still a little sensitive about how I was during high school.
Anyway, the same friend said we should start watching the show together - so I started going over to watch it with her. We watched the rest of Season 1 together. And maybe the first half of Season 2? I definitely watched the first four-ish episodes with her. I think (?) I must have watched NBK with her.
The ONLY thing I remember from my first time watching was the forced kiss between Kurt and Karofsky. It was THAT shocking. Like, WHOA what is happening???
The only real thing I remember about Blaine was that my friend had told me that Kurt was supposed to be getting a boyfriend, and we all wondered if it was going to be Sam (because Duets did give that tiny-ish set-up). And when Blaine showed up, it was one of those - oh, is it this dude? type things.
I did not like Season 2 when it was first airing, Nonny. I'll be honest with you about it. The thing I've since learned about RM and his shows, he often fills them with a lot of unlikable characters who are often ridiculously dramatic. And it just wasn't my thing. But also remember, the show focused hard on Rachel, Finn, Quinn, Puck, Sue, and Will (and Emma). Like -- not my favorite characters. At all.
It's one reason I appreciate the later seasons, because characters I like got more focus, and it just became super weird and super queer and that's just more to my taste.
But anyway -- I kind of only watched sporadically after the first few weeks. I caught Silly Love Songs - because I remember thinking after Kurt and Blaine have their When Harry Met Sally convo, oh yeah, they'll get these two together.
I have zero memory of watching Original Song for the first time. Which I just have, because I knew Klaine was together after that point. But I did miss most of the second half of Season 2.
No, I had zero idea I'd love Klaine as hard as I did (do). I can tell you I remember the exact moment I fell in love with Klaine, though. I decided to catch up on Season 3 because I missed the first half (and hilariously - I was actually enjoying Season 3 more than Season 2 at the time, wild right?) and it was The First Time, and it was the auditorium scene, and it was this moment.
And really, just Kurt saying -- I'm just a silly romantic, and Blaine saying it wasn't silly, and just kissing him. And, my god nonny, it made my cold, dead heart come alive. It took my breath away.
And then, I mean, I rewatched the full series again, and really got into the Klaine of it, and got into fandom, and as much as fandom was a headache -- and my god it was a headache -- I think that's why I stayed with Glee for so long? It was something to have fun with and explore and write about and talk to people about and there was the insanity of week to week, and it was wild - I mean really wild, but it's what made the show fun. Because, I mean, I love the show - but it's a mess.
And I'm constantly amazed new people come in for it, because sometimes it feels like there's a -- you had to be there -- to get it, lol.
But, I mean, did I think I'd be here, fifteen years later, still talking about how it impacted me? Not even a little bit. :)

bts fic recommendations | 03.14.23
→ hi friends! this is a little segment i do every tuesday (reviewsday get it, aren’t i funny, pls tell me how funny i am) where i read and review two-three fics. as a content creator, i know how big of a role other creators play in your growth, therefore, i want to do my part in making sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve! so with that being said, please check out the amazing fics listed below. make sure to like, reblog, and leave feedback! ♡ #reviewsday #kikirecs
banana clip - @vvh0adie (jhs x jjk x reader | angst, fluff, smut)
summary: nature is great at putting you to sleep. but man-made objects are just as good at waking you up with annoyance. and they’re even better at messing with your senses overall. but nature also made the two most wonderful men who you get to call your boyfriends, and they know just how to comfort you.
for one, let me just say this graphic goes crazy eep!!!
also let me just say, you would write a mean fantasy fic bc the scene setting in the first segment is so good. YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT WORLD BUILDING?? YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT WORLD BUILDING???? YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT MAKING THE SETTING REFLECT THE CHARACTER??? THIS IS IT!!
also i think the representation in the fic is so fucking important like- to have the reader be queer, chubby, and neurodivergent and then depicting in detail the things that come along with it is really great!! especially bc so many young adults read fanfic and thats such a complex time where you're juggling different parts of your identity and how they coexist!! just seriously thank you for writing this!!
"His large hands make haste of grabbing as much of your ass as he possibly can and giving it a good squeeze, oil slick painted nails leaving crescent indentation on your melanated skin. The succulent pain causes a moan to escape your lips. You always knew how to break them down, but he could play too."
oof when i tell u i read this paragraph multiple fucking times bc YOU PICKED OIL SLICK NAIL HOBI I COULD DESTROY MY FUCKING ROOM RN LMAO
“Ah, fuck, it’s times like these when I remember how much of a slut you are.”
dom hobi rattles the fucking peanut in my skull bc i know for a fact that man is the kinkest dom sex freak out here PLS!!! and the mentions of kook throughout made everything incredibly hotter like uGh!! and then i really love when sweet aftercare n cleaning up is added into fanfic after a dommy moment :') <3 overall, this was the hottest shit ever pls fucking read this yall NOW I SAY NOW LMAO!!
paired & pierced - @yoon-kooks (jjk x reader | college au, smut, fluff)
summary: when your professor assigns a collaborative midterm project, you’re paired up with jeon jungkook, the quiet grumpy smartass who keeps to himself and doesn’t fuck with popular kids like you. if you can win him over, he might give you a taste of the tatted and pierced body he’s carefully tucked away beneath those oversized hoodies.
so as soon as i saw that pairing i knew i was a goner!! but babe, this fic made me discover kinks i didn't even know i had like erm?? CAWK TATTOO??? OF A SNAKE???
I HAVE A NEW FETISH LMAO!!! thats like one of the hottest visuals i've ever read in fanfic and it will plague my daydreams from here on out!
where does one find a friend like oc who hooks you up with men like JUNG HOSEOK ?? she is so real for that (one is incredibly lonely despite having friends and never gets checked on by those around her unless they need something which i feel like is so relatable to so many people like i can totally tell why so many readers were drawn to this fic)!! and tim can catch this knuckle sandwich bc FUCK HIM >:(
also the newborn joke made me audibly crack up like the bleak dry humor is fucking hilarious to me-
and i just love their dynamic? like the way you wrote their dialogue is just so natural, which seems simple on the outside but as fic writer i understand that writing believable dialogue is so INSANELY difficult like you literally have to be an a1 writer to nail it as good as you did in this fic!! the talent is screaming!! same goes for the smut!! it was so fucking hot and everything kook said had my coochie wet pls!! i just love the switch for apathetic to complete sex god uGh! i love u n this saur fucking much!!
nature cafe - @virgodolls (jjk x reader | s2l)
oh my goodness i love this so much! like when you told me you were a new writer on here i was already extremely excited, but after reading this, my excitement for your future works has doubled, TRIPLED! you are bringing something new and refreshing to the table! like don't get me wrong i looooveee smut (legit all i write is smut-) but slice of life content is kind of hard to find on this platform! so reading this was such a welcomed change and i loved it wholeheartedly!
you really have a knack for writing in the perspective of the character, which is not an easy thing to do AT ALL! ITS SO DIFFICULT! AND YOU EXECUTED IT SO FLAWLESSY HERE AND ITS ONLY YOUR FIRST FIC? PLS THE TALENT IS UNREAL!!
i also really loved this oc! as someone who is also v sensitive and easily overwhelmed, i didn't find her annoying at all, just incredibly endearing and relatable! THIS JUNGKOOK IS ALSO SUCH BOYFRIEND MATERIAL AND SO SWEET LIKE IM TRYING TO PICK HIM UP TOO UM??? anyways, thank you for sharing your writing! its definitely so scary at first but you did it and you should be v proud of yourself!! i am proud of you!!

im kinda worried about how jophie is gonna progress in the series, martin already has a habit of forgetting things about his charactes like their heights but i would also not be surprised if he forgot like actually important scenes with his characters like that one jophie dialogue on findjackwalten. im worried he's like completely lost the plot on how jenny and sophie should be
I never want to be needlessly mean, because I don't think it's ever very appropriate or helpful, but I can't lie this is honestly an insane thing to say. To me. Like idk. I don't think forgetting or misremembering something as innocuous as a character's height is indicative of a person being able to forget entire major elements of their story and thus completely mischaracterizing the main characters of their series.
Also, I guess you wouldn't know this, because I think it's only been brought up in spaces once or twice, but Martin does have character docs. He absolutely has means of keeping track of important info. Maybe not every minute detail is on them, and that's why slip ups happen, or maybe he just isn't constantly consulting his Character Bible when having off-the-cuff conversations with his friends about his OCs. Like. Its Ok. I'm sure when he gets to the actual in-series character writing he's going to be a little more thoughtful and attentive with regards to getting things right.
Also this 'mean and defensive' aspect of Sophie's character has absolutely been a part of her the entire time. I can't really back this up with Receipts or anything, but I really do think the way Martin's talked about her, like, historically, has evidenced this. Still, I think it's true that those more rough-around-the-edges aspects of Sophie have evolved over the years to become much larger parts of her character than they maybe were in the past. I'm sure that relative 'shyness' was something intended for her as well, but I think it's definitely transformed into something more firmly 'staunchly antisocial' than like, 'softhearted shygirl', y'know?
I just also think it's true that Martin personally finds it very funny when people misunderstand his characters, like old fanon characterization of Jack, and old fanon characterization of Sophie, and intentionally does not correct people, because he likes to imagine their surprise at seeing how the character actually behaves in the series. Which is like, fine. I agree with him, that's really fun and funny.
Also, like, this feels like a silly thing to point out, but specifically with regards to the Findjackwalten dialogue, it's like. I don't know. That dialogue doesn't dictate the character's personalities, the characters personalities dictated that dialogue, y'know? It's not like how, for the fandom, we learn more about how those characters behave from that piece of writing and our interpretation of them is changed by it. Like, even in a scenario where Martin forgets the specifics of what he had them say and how he had them interact in those scenes, or even if he manages to forget about those scenes' existence entirely, I don't think that's going to meaningfully change Sophie & Jenny as characters, because it was his understanding of them and their relationship that caused those scenes to be what they are, not the other way around.
#ask#i started this post kind of mean and i apologize. but honestly i felt like I kind of had to emphasize how out of left field this question-#-felt and still feels to me#Maybe i'm just so Locked In on files I have a strong enough understanding and familiarity that I trust something that extreme would not-#-happen#and maybe that just isn't true for other people in the community#butyeah i think this isn't something you have to worry about. anonymous person in my ask box#sleep easy. i believe sophie and jenny are very safe

Actually fuck it who wants a list of the genklintville/baskerzieks/genklint (and Genshin's wife) fic ideas i have in my drafts!! I will tell you about them!
Also a few gen fics related to those characters:
Gen fics but related to Genshin/Klint/Baskerville
AU where Mikotoba and Sholmes witness Baskerville murdering Stronghart and let her get away with it. Charles Augustus Milverton scene rewrite
Barok and Kazuma discussing what kind of person Lady B was
Genshin has a challenge— a reward for any Scotland Yard inspector who can guess the story behind how he got his ring. When nobody figures it out, he tells Klint.
Dynamic study with Genshin, Courtney, Stronghart, and Klint
Genshin and his wife
Relationship study because I don't think they were in love but I think they were interesting
Same as the last one but it's a study of his wife after Genshin dies
Baskersogi (I've decided that's their ship name bc it's funny sounding)
Just the two of them discussing marriage and the law and love. Yknow like how Arthur Conan Doyle always complains about divorce law.
Baskerzieks:
Klint introducing Stronghart to ✨️💖his beautiful wife💖✨️ because Stronghart would be soooo annoyed. I need them to be so in love i need to leave the room. I need them to be GROSS.
First kiss fic. Historical repressed romance yknow how it is. I just like when they are extremely in love and happy and sweet to each other, it makes the tragedy even better when it hits imo
First meeting fic. I think Klint should find smart people extremely attractive and Lady Baskerville is a GENIUS.
baskerzieks fluff ficlet I cut out of my Professor Killings fic
Genklint:
Dead Klint reviewing his own crime scene but he's a little too proud of Genshin?
Ghost Klint. Haunting Genshin's holding cell. Or maybe Genshin's losing it.
Companion piece to the Professor killings fic, because it's more bskz heavy
Fic I wrote because there will be simultaneous Baskersithe shenanigans
Early friendship— Genshin is assigned busy work that ends up being acting as Klint's bodyguard when he does not need one. Based on Watson having to stick around Henry Baskerville in HOUN
"Why did you kill all those people" "My beloved detective is like 80% of my impulse control."
Genklintville:
Stronghart is trying to find details on Klint's life to manipulate him with and asks Genshin if he knows anything about Baskerville. He lies.
Double drabble of them working late together on case notes.
Ghost genklint, a bit of grieving when they realize their beloved Lady Baskerville is about to die
getting together fic??
Me using my historical corsetry knowledge for evil (to bully Genshin Asogi with)
Christmas! Up now!
Baskerville has noticed her husband's huge dumb stupid dumb idiot crush on Genshin and she is going to Do Something about it.
Genklintville rewrite of The Second Stain with Genshin in Holmes' place and Barok in Watson's. I think Baskerville deserves to be a little insane too.
I am the Director of Prosecutions, I did not forget about our meeting— I am not blushing, detective. So what if I am in good spirits because my fiancée came to visit m— lipstick? No. You must be mistaken, I checked— I mean a gentleman would NEVER have an unmarried lady's makeup on his face. That's absurd— STOP LAUGHING.
#this doesnt count my genklintville specific “graveyard” doc#and a few docs that are like One Sentence Long#tgaa2 spoilers#tgaa#my writing#genklintville#baskerzieks#genklint#baskersogi#<- all of em are under little sections under the cut#this was mostly for me to organize and remember what the hell ive left floundering#but if people are interested in any of these i'd love to yap! and it may get my brain to latch onto one lmao#if i finish fics in here i'll edit this and add links

I was asked to compile some fanfic recs and I've decided to put some out for you all to read at your leisure. It's mainly Harry Potter - because the fandom took full control there - and I'm recommending other fics from mostly smaller fandoms as well. I don't think you need to read the source material to enjoy most of these.
Under the cut!
Harry Potter
The Secret Diary of Hugo Granger-Weasley, Aged Thirteen and a Half - by FloreatCastellum
The Quest to Find 12 Ways to Charm Witches - by FloreatCastellum
A Brief History of Red Telephone Boxes - by FloreatCastellum
She has written my one true headcannon for Hugo Weasley in three fics - he's a menace, he's unintentionally hilarious and just the perfect combination of Ron and Hermione and the take on the Adrien Mole novels is sheer perfection. All of her work is great and stand out on their own merits - but I come back to these when I need a really good laugh because she really understands those awkward early teen years so well.
FloreatCastellum has retired from fanfiction to pursue original works, but her backlog is extensive, interesting and engaging. Her tumblr is still active and going through her asks is a treat into examining her though processes and clarifying some details. You can find the tumblr here @floreatcastellumposts
Order of Mercy - by MandyinKC
I'm very past due to reread this - she started posting this on FFN when I was teaching in South Korea and I remember reading the updates in the evening before bed. It's a fantastic take on another prospective on the last book and probably did play a part in my own writing. This is one of the best takes on an alternate prospective of Deathly Hallows from the shared prospectives of Bill, Fleur, Percy and Audrey as they form their own small resistance group.
Irrational - by RonsGirlFriday (aka @constitutionalweasleymonarchy on this hellsite)
This is the fic that made me appreciate the first person prospective and showed me what kind of strong character voice that can offer. The way Audrey is written here is fantastic, she's quiet, observant and is going through her very quiet life as it begins to shift through meeting new people. The story is not overwhelmed by an intense narrative, it's a quiet day to day sort of story. This is one of the primary inspirations for the POV for One for Sorrow and its early tone before the madness set in. I will drop everything I'm doing if I get word of an update or new publication.
Oo0Oo0
Bridgerton
a most assured bliss - by starkswinterfelling
I know this fandom has taken off in recent years and has a lot of good fics, I don't have time to go through them all these days but I can recommend this one with confidence as a long, extended epilogue to book 3 of the series from the prospective of the elderly housekeeper as she ends up in a web of well-meaning secrets between her employers. It's very well written, very funny and a reminder that all secrets come out eventually.
Oo0Oo0
Daddy Long Legs - Jean Webster
Dear Mr. Ben E. Factor - by orphan_account
This is one of the finest epistolary novels. It's short and covers about four years of Judy Abbott's life as a college student paid for by an unknown benefactor. This book is a product of its times in regards to race and class politics of the era. If that's not something you want to go through, that's fine, some kind soul has rewritten the novel for modern sensibilities and has lost none of what made the original novel so endearing.
Oo0Oo0
Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien
The Abduction of Éomer, King of Rohan - by Lialathuveril
The author is now self publishing and I recommend all the work on her page. This is one of the stories I made sure to save in case FFN ever truly dies - it's funny, well written and a slightly insane concept that just works.
Oo0Oo0
Beauty and the Beast
Honey, You're Familiar (Like My Mirror Years Ago) - by hester_latterly
No words for this modern Beauty and the Beast AU. It's well written, engaging and a character study in the guise of... I just don't want to say modern fairy tale, because it's a good definition, but it's ultimately a story about two lonely people coming together. Unfinished, but great!

That Specific Take TM is part of what led me to stop watching critical role entirely. Wouldn’t go so far as calling myself a “stan” of Nott, but I adored her. And I adored her progression into being comfortable with being Veth. But it feels like people see what they want to see far more than they see the character that’s been portrayed… TLDR I sympathize entirely, it’s kind of miserable to know so many people dislike characters you find very compelling for how they are portrayed simply because they are misinterpreting that portrayal at a rather fundamental level!
I actually do not think a take like that stems from dislike! Misinterpretation, yes, but misinterpretation is not always connected to disliking a character. Like, as many insane and wrong takes I've seen about Orym that have popped up during c3, the OPs of those posts often do not necessarily dislike Orym (at least, so they say). They just have a particular perspective that is not, uh, correct if you actually engage with the textual evidence. I think re: this take in particular, it really does come from a sense of disappointment that the dynamic between Nott and Caleb didn't maintain course, that the Veth reveal did irrevocably alter the dynamic.
Which--okay, there's a lot going on with that, and I think people who were overly attached to the "dynamic" over the individual characters involved tend toward Caleb-specific fans (hence how he's the listless sad boi of the post, the queer neurodivergent guy, while Veth is cast as a flat perfectly happy straight neurotypical woman (that was painful even just to write, but that is what the post is positing), and ignorant of all of Caleb's sad boi feelings--which of those descriptions is going to be more relatable/sympathetic to your average tumblr user, you know?), and if you were to track fandom engagement with Nott as a character, I feel like you would find a significant drop-off of investment in her after the Veth reveal. Because she yelled at Caleb, she altered the dynamic, her story separated from his story, she moved away from him narratively, and when the focus was placed more fully on herself and her character details, I suspect a lot of people drifted away from her. Because Nott was Caleb's funny sidekick and qpr and loving mother all rolled into one, and it's just not the same if she is a married woman, a mother, with goals of her own that may--and do--cause her to shift away from her very tight relationship with Caleb. In the eyes of a lot of people, she was there to serve at the altar of the dynamic, and her role was to support Caleb. Breaking the dynamic is a cardinal sin--it's similar to the way some people react so weirdly to the Nein all splitting ways after the finale. There's that deep attachment to The Dynamic, the Found Family, that rifts and conflicts and alterations to the dynamic are distressing to people and they'll come up with similarly incorrect metas full of projections and act like they're canon as a reaction to that.
So, instead of "dislike", I think perhaps the better word to sub in there is "disinterest." If people cleave so strongly to the original representation of the dynamic, when alterations to it are made they are disinterested in letting themselves be invested in, think deeply about, and care for the new dynamics created, because they're too tethered to a thing that was already lost--OR never really existed the way they're imaging to begin with.
#also I'm sorry bad take like these made you drop the show!#stepping back from fandom can sometimes be necessary to really enjoying the media#I was lucky to have about 85-90 episode of the second campaign to watch on my own w/o fandom before getting involved#which I think was overall a good thing#but even with the current campaign if you have the right people on your dash who you can talk to and agree with#it makes the bad takes feel a lot more like background noise. annoying background noise yeah but stuff you can ignore ultimately#anyway I hope this response was on topic because it kind of felt like I was but also like I was not I really can't tell#oh also re: wondering if fandom engaged less w/veth after 47--that's speculation#informed speculation but I--as previously stated--was not involved in the fandom at the time#so I'm not sure exactly how it shook out when those eps were airing#retrospectively I think it is true that people are less interested in veth than they were with nott though#which is where my point stands#anon#asks

My Thoughts on Witch Watch by Kenta Shinohara
Last month, I binged Witch Watch by Kenta Shinohara.
A bit of background information to what led to me deciding to binge this. Back in 2019, I LOVED Kanata no Astra, which was by the same mangaka. When Witch Watch was announced, I was excited, but the first 3 chapters didn't interest me. 3 years later, I decided to give it another shot, and it did not disappoint!
Now, I'd like to share what I liked about this manga! Summary: Walked in expecting a typical highschool romcom with a sprinkle of fantasy, walked out with a funny manga about friends that live together and how hard love can be. Also acquired a new-found appreciation for denim jeans! This post does not contain story spoilers, however, there are screenshots from the manga, but they do not spoil the main plot.
So, I won't lie. I was not interested in the story at first. Witch Watch is about a witch named Nico Wakatsuki, who moves in with her childhood friend and human-like ogre, Morihito Otogi. Morihito becomes Nico's familliar and protects her from any danger.
Why was I not a fan at first? Well, it felt a bit too predictable at first. I viewed it as every other "Quirky highschool girl lives with highschool guy for some bizarre reason" that a lot of anime and manga are known for. Yea, I know very shallow of me...
BUT IT WAS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! It felt more like 'found family' with a some romance to keep things fresh (which was also handled nicely).
And oh my gosh, this manga is REALLY funny. Like I did not expect myself to be laughing almost every chapter at the sheer nonsense Nico puts the cast through. Heck, sometimes Nico doesn't even do anything, the others just rope themselves into something insane!
However, comedy is subjective, and to be honest, sometimes I find myself wanting to skip a chapter because it wasn't amusing to me in any way. Never did though, because even when the comedy aspect of a chapter wasn't my cup of tea, the characters' chemistry is what pushes me through!
(^ OK BUT THE SCREENSHOT ABOVE THIS WAS FUNNY DON'T MISUNDERSTAND, ALL THESE SCREENSHOTS ARE PARTS I LIKED)
While the comedy is great, the overarching story was really interesting. I won't go into detail, but do not expect the manga to be a typical romcom. There are some pretty heavy moments at times.
I never felt like the serious moments felt out of place or pointless, I loved every arc and how much the characters had to push themselves through those situations.
I know it's getting an anime adaptation and I am cautiously optimistic as the trailers didn't impress me too much. I just hope the serious scenes are done as much justice as the silly scenes.
Overall, I am so glad I gave Witch Watch a chance. I will admit though, I am not a huge fan with the current events going on at the moment, but I'll give it time! Regardless, I loved binging this manga and I am now looking forward to a new chapter every week!
In fact, this manga finally gave me the push I needed to watch Sket Dance, another story by the same author. That's kind of the reason why it took me so long to make this post. I was binging Sket Dance and I have one episode remaining, then I'll continue with the manga. Looking forward to it!
If you survived through my whole yap session! Thanks! And I hope you give Witch Watch a chance!
(Man, this manga was funny)

Slept on my Thoughts and Big Feelings™ about yesterday's patch, here we go (in true stereotypical fashion, this got a bit longer than I initially thought)
Spoilers for the 7.3 story moments (impside)
So obviously this was a very character-centric patch and its highlights really were the cutscenes. Like many people, I expected slightly more out of the gameplay part of the patch, especially after 7.2 and everything we got on Ruhnuk...
But the team really, really pulled through on what we got out of the cutscenes.
Rivix seems like a slimy bastard and I alternated between cheering him on for decking that other random Sithy guy and praying for his downfall at Tau's hand (you'll get him next time baby girl <3)
pleasantly surprised to see him immediately contact the Commander, and YET, I am and will remain suspicious of his every move and will anticipate the inevitable backstabbing
"what about your fascinating Hutt scientist?", mum come pick me up, i'm scared
Sa'har's interactions with Ri'kan make me want to bawl my eyes out, why can't Bioware ever let siblings be happy, she's so gentle but so blind and he's drowning in resentment and rage and they are so doomed
"I had little choice. Some earn what they have. Some are given everything", "and some lost it all", "you dare speak to me of suffering" I am going Insane™
Heta is so delulu it would be funny if it didn't make the situation go from worse to worser so fast, "it's never safe to change a galaxy, never easy to fight corruption and hypocrisy" be for fucking real
Sa'har, just say the word and we WILL come and pick you up (i have all the adoption papers ready whenever)
"I would be more than happy to go over the details", "... But not right now" PLEASE the Commander is SO TIRED lmaoo
not Oggurobb admiring Darth Nul's work, can you please focus
more on The Discrovery™ later in this post
Mind you, I played this whole patch on my main (Elias my love <3), who is a Saboteur ex-Imperial Agent, but...
my god, the Torian alert talk hit Different™
whoever decided this should be a cutscene and not just a letter... you are everything. It felt raw, it felt reflective, it felt absolutely necessary and i'm really liking the depth it is bringing with it
"I agree with Heta about the banner being used as a symbol of shame and betrayal. And yet... how dare she burn it"
"How you feel about your past is for you to decide"
"I spent so much time trying to be better than my history, I didn't stop to think about where I came from", "Good and bad, this box contains my past. Who my father was. My family. My sense of right and wrong. I can open it and remember when I need to, or I can leave it shut. The choice is mine."
It's the intergenerational trauma, fighting against yet embracing your history to shape your future and find your own purpose in life, I-
This Barbie is an ex-war criminal haunted by the Past!! And so am I!!
The whole Malgus cutscene was incredible and I probably spent at least half an hour (if not more) just going over all the different options.
flirting with Theron at work!! In front of our bestie Lana who is So Done™!! "May I remind you both we still have more to discuss", it never gets old <3
was actually shocked by how involved Theron was in the cutscene? actually had a lot of lines and he felt materially present in a way that i hadn't seen in a loong time (I will never ever kill Theron off [I have morals and I love him, your Honour] but I do wonder how the cutscene looks when you don't have him around?)
Theron calling the Imperial characters the fuck out is a kink I didn't know I had, but I do, so thank you for that
"Some higher-up is all sweaty about my past contracts with Malgus", "One of those contracts was destroying the defense grid on Coruscant during an Imperial invasion", get her ass my love!!
the tensions with Shae are back and, listen, I love our problematic girlie as much as the next person (too much), but I am thriving
"Don't you get it? With the holocron, Heta is part of that plan, willing or not", "You weren't interested in the holocron when you shot a teenager out of nowhere we ran into Sa'har", the girls are FIGHTING
I just can't get over how similar yet different they both are. Probably won't resonate with all Outlanders, but as a former Imperial agent, Elias NEVER thought he would become a Leader of any sort. He was always content to stick to the shadows, do what he does best with few restrictions and little scrutiny. It's so so so interesting to see Shae feeling like she owes so much to her people and yet struggling so much with being Mandalore
"Make him think you understand" and isn't the interesting part that some Outlanders really might understand, at least in part? Unique perspectives indeed.
"You and I are very much alike. I couldn't stand it when my mind was at the mercy of another... I don't fault you for wanting to break free" (patch 7.1)
"... few minds can comprehend my vision", "none who have stood by my side have understood this. The only one who could have... is my enemy" (patch 7.3)
Mirrors and narrative foils and the weight of our choices and I'm going Insane™ once again
we didn't learn much from the interrogation that we didn't really already know or couldn't suspect, it was very much about the Themes™
I know it's controversial, but I actually like the Nul and Mandalorian plots intermingling
"The Mandalorians are fractured... a broken people. They struggle to decide who they are", something that is so so important in basically all of the Mando characters we have here. Torian, Akaavi, even the Ordo brothers, Heta herself of course and the Varad, the Dar'manda and the Ash'ad, SHAE SHAE SHAE
I am going to ignore how this would inevitably resonate in many Outlanders too, the longing for home versus the morality of doing what's right for the galaxy and fighting your home and saving your independance but never knowing if it's going to be enough-
it was a bit weird that there was no way to prevent Shae from listening in on Malgus' interrogation, but then again, the whole scene where he bypasses us to speak to her directly is so powerful that I can't really mind too much
the them of HISTORY strikes again!!
"Can you not see it? The past looms over us all... a shadow of unchanging history. There are fools who believe they can outrun the shadow. Without a flame to chase it away, it will consume them - they are doomed to repeat the same failures"
the SILENCE once you get back from the interrogation is so LOUD and I felt a true sense of heaviness from it
Unfortunately, I feel like the Voss part of the patch was the weakest in many ways. I haven't played Shrine of Silence yet (the Flashpoint), but it is (as was announced) not required for the main story content.
The highlights truly were, again, the characters.
Arcann is back!! and we get to have a very nice talk with him about redemption, acceptance and forgiveness. all things that felt very important for Arcann's journey (and for my MC as well, actually)
"I saw centuries worth of horrors committed by my father. I felt the rage and the cruelty born of my desperation to please him", "I was afraid I saw those ruins because I was doomed to follow in his [my father's] footsteps", navigating intergenerational trauma and trying to trace the lines between what you suffered and what you are responsible of, painfully delicious
"I will never expect forgiveness - or even acceptance - from anyone I have hurt. But I will cherish any that is offered", what, me, crying? no, it's just raining, i would never cry (i am bawling like a little baby and will never stop)
can't say I was that surprised to learn that Darth Nul had been a Jedi before being corrupted over to the dark side, but I'm glad that finally puts to rest the "Lana is Darth Nul" theories
I am very intrigued by that Force power of hers , however : "she could mentally bond with anyone who could feel the Force. In those who did not recognize their own abilities, she awakened that realisation", okay, but what does it mean exactly?
the Voss stuff was otherwise a little bit on the forgettable side, I must admit (but I'm always happy to come back to Voss, so it's okay)
"[the Three] would never share them with an outsider, even one of your status", hmmm, excuse you, Sana-Rae, but I was once married to a Voss lady, doesn't that count for something
And just like that we were back to doing little chores-like quests and rocking it KOTOR-dialogue style. Which was okay, but not groundbreaking by any means.
of course it was Czerka, of course it was
out of all the side quests, I really liked the cantina one, it was so silly
the talk with Sana-Rae before going to see the Three was really touching <3 It really is all about personal choices and finding one's purpose even if it clashes with what you were taught growing up
the... prophecy itself is very vague and doesn't give us much more than what we've learned so far
"Life will be reshaped... scales unbalanced... A wave of change rises and falls... beyond the reach of Darth Malgus... and as he dreams, he awakens a great power... one that will tear the galaxy apart"
"Should Darth Malgus perish, this catastrophe will transpire more quickly"
I can't for the life of me begin to guess at what the devs have in store for us, but you can colour me intrigued for sure (and a bit wary)
the sheer unavoidability of "what is to come" is ???
and yet, somehow, "whatever is to come from this, it is you... who will choose the fate of us all"
"I'm tired of being responsible for the consequences of every decision"
"You can fight against destiny, but it is inescapable"
When I tell you boyo is TIRED
Overall, very strong themes for this patch. The way both the past and the future are inescapable, unavoidable, dooms that we cannot run away from.
The way we have to embrace them, embrace who we are, who we were and who we can become.
The way there is always a choice, there always has to be a choice.
#swtor#swtor 7.3#swtor 7.3 spoilers#7.3 spoilers#7.3 Old Wounds#the themes are theming so hard this patch#overall i don't think this is as strong a patch as Ruhnuk was#and I imagine (I hope?) that the story will move forward massively with 7.4 (which has already been confirmed)#But it was still fun#The cutscenes were phenomenal and you can tell just how much love went into making them#OC: Elias O'Hara (Imperial Agent)#Theron Shan#Lana Beniko#Torian Cadera#Arcann Tirall#Sana-Rae#Shae Vizla#Darth Malgus#Darth Rivix

I haven't read the comics, if I'm not wrong you have, right? Because you know a lot of things about J and It is just incredible
If you have read the comics, could you explain a bit about how Joker is in those? (If you have based your version of J too pls)
ALSO, you said Frost appears in the comics, but the only Frost I've found is this woman
https://images.app.goo.gl/NuHiHAFUWuNNDYDk6
And the only goon of Joker that I've found is this one (I know Neo and Mac are your ocs but I remember you saying that Frost appears in the comics)
WOW CHAOS I WAS LOOKING FOR A PIC OF THE OTHER GOON AND FOUND THIS MAN NAMED JONNY FROST(????
https://images.app.goo.gl/XzVwFc8fH9dDDhNi6
Is this who you based Frost of? I can't find any black man named Frost And he is said to he the mist loyal man
This is the other goon, does he exist in the Chaos universe?
https://images.app.goo.gl/8RJfjhrC3bJL6irE6
I believe his name is gaggy? I'm not sure
I would love to see his dynamic with Joker/his goons, maybe he is part of Joker's past? Someone he had to get rid off
In short, you would do me a great favor if you explained a little about the Joker from the comics and what parts of him you have taken for your story because I find it very interesting 😭
and his anarchist side too because I don't get why does he do all that, does he simply want to watch the world burn? Just Chaos? Is that it, he isn't power hungry nor he wants another person to have political control? Doesn't he do all that because he believes in something?
SORRY FOR YAPPING 😭
Hey hi anon 🖤✨
I'm doing lovely! omg Chaos universe has me in a spiral!!! I'm popular enough to have my own universe😫what an honor! And DO NOT apologize for yapping! I read every word with rapt attention.
So let's discuss anon! Grab a seat and a snack, we're going in deep!
Yes, I've read most of the comics save for a few here and there. Depending on the comic..... Joker is either a jester who kills for fun, the epitome of evil who thinks killing is funny, or clinically insane and doesn’t see the difference in anything. He just out here ballin’ or all of the above.
The Joker is so complex I could write essays for the rest of my life talking about him. My favorite depiction of J is from The Killing Joke although in the “Chaos universe” (I love saying that) Joker derives from the Nolan trilogy and the Arkham Games. Heavy on the games; they’re my favorites for a reason. So a mixture of all Jokers really 🤔 Here's a chart if you're interested! I've seen/read/played them all except for 2019.
Anyhoo. Yes! That's Killer Frost a completely different character who is absolutely amazing in her own right. Good call out 😉
AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR FINDING FROST! Let’s talk about Frosty!!! ❄❄❄❄
Although this depiction of Frost sorta kinda betrays Joker and ends up being killed for it, I took some creative liberties with making him my own.
Joker's Loyal Three what a concept. Mac and Neo are of course my OC's (I did not have to go so hard creating them 😤but I did)
Frost is actually albino but since I write for people of color.. I made him African American so he’s kinda a OC to an extent. Frost is divorced in my series and he has a daughter which I named Genesis so I'm staying canon but giving him a Chaos spin.
There are some background conversations that reference Frost in Arkham Asylum (or maybe Origins) and I just felt it was the right thing to do to honor Frost and give him flowers. I think details no matter how small really matter when creating a story.
I honestly don't know this third character Gaggy? so no he will not be making a cameo in any of my series 🤣
Now. As for Joker's schtick. Everything to Joker is funny in some way hence the name. Once you take that away aspect, Joker isn't really that much of a threat. He has no superpowers, no advantage other than being unpredictable and insane-- so the reason why Joker "does what he does" (I think) is maintain his one desire. To be remembered.
His ultimate fear (in the comics) is being forgotten and if no one pays him any attention... 🤷🏾♀️poof. So Joker pulls these elaborate stunts, he works hard to gain Batman's attention and be the number one villain to stay memorable and feared by the citizens of Gotham. Yes, he wants to watch the world burn, no he really doesn't believe in anything. That's what makes him a threat. He's unpredictable even after all these years.
Some versions of Joker (the one's I like) he knows what he's doing is wrong, yet he does not care. He isn't power hungry, he doesn't care about the average man, he just wants people to see the world like he does as One. Big. Joke.
He's that de-synthesized, that far removed from humanity that if he dies, oh well. Now if Batman dies... now that's another story. No one entertains Joker's mental instability the way Bats does. A world without Batman is another big fear for Joker.
It's also the biggest fight of them all; good verses evil. Batman vs. Joker. Never ending, an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.
Lol, now I'm yapping and quoting The Dark Knight. 🤣😭
#thanks anon!#thanks for the ask!#i hope that answers the question#joker's backstory#Joker's ideology#chaos rant#lore building#Joker's loyal three#ledger!joker#ledger joker#heath joker

@wardrobemoments (tagging you because I know you like this sort of things but anybody is welcome to join the conversation)
I have a few theories in regards to Lisbon's hairstyles across the seasons.
I was looking at a few GIFs and I was wondering.
How come that Lisbon changes her hairstyle so much? Like, a different hairstyle every season? Or actually, multiple slightly different hairstyles every season?
It's true that the show spans over 5-6 years, but it's still a lot if you ask me. I've had mostly the same hairstyle for 3 years now and aside from a few minor changes, it's stayed the same. For comparison we also have Grace, who has the same style all thorough the show except for 6x09 and all thorough the end when she decides to get bangs. (More or less. She alternates between straight hair and curls but that's it)
And I started to think of it both from the watsonian (in character) and the doylian (in show) interpretation. Mostly because it's funny to think of Teresa Lisbon at a hair stylist every year, asking for a new hair style a new fic idea is cooking up oh no
(Putting this under a read more because this is getting longer than I intended.)
The watsonian interpretation would be that Grace is more of a...conformist. She finds something that she likes and she sticks with it and it's fine for her.
By contrast, I don't mean that Lisbon is an undecided person, but rather that this is her way of rebelling. She is the one that often has to enforce the rules all thorough her life. And I don't think she minds too much, but there's still a part of her that is wilder and wants, like Jane, to say fuck the rules and fuck conformity. (Although it's not like she goes Too Wild, like...spikes or shaved head or stuff like that. At most we have the Bisexual Haircut in S1). Or perhaps it's a way that shows that she doesn't like routine, she needs some variation in her life (proven by those years between 608 and 609 where she worked as chief deputy in a normal police station or whatever she was)
The doylian interpretation is the one that intrigues me. Does the hairstyle change so much because Robin is one of the main leads? (Moreso than Amanda). Is it because she's insanely gorgeous and we deserve to see her in many styles and thirst over her? Can there be an association between this small detail and character development across the show?
And I started to think about it. I found this brilliant post having most if of her hairstyles.
(and I'll add a particular hairstyle that isn't here that I'm dying for)
What if there's a connection between her emotional availability in which season?
At the start of the show she has pretty open hairstyles, wilder hair and no bangs. She starts wearing bangs (and straight hair) regularly after Bosco's death. (Correct me if I'm wrong) and she wears the bangs consistently. As far as I can see, she starts letting go of them in season 5. (After Jane tells her he loves her). Towards the end of S4, she has...sidebangs, her forehead is less covered compared to the previous eps.
In parallel, there is a flirty energy between Jane and Lisbo in Season 1. (Or at least a willingness for intimacy) There is much less of this energy once Bosco dies (And the bangs appear). Sure, there are still some scenes (almost-confessions and little shows of jealousy), but they're more Jane-directed-towards-Lisbon than the reverse. She has a one night stand with Mashburn but that's all it is. She's really more open towards Jane at the end of S4, asking him to let her help him (and having her forehead pretty clear in the last 2 episodes, only a sidebang). And then...I think in S5 it's the season that she's fully aware that she's in love with Jane and accepting it (ergo, no more bangs).
I don't know if this analysis stands on its legs at all, but I am curious to hear your thoughts on it.
