Hey everyone! Here is my submission for the Dan and Phil Phasquerade Tumblr Event! First off, as a surprise, I made not one, but TWO songs for the event!

The first one is the main theme song for the event as requested by @wdapteo! 生き甲斐 (Ikigai)! It’s not fully orchestral but I put a bit of strings and horns in there, so I guess it counts lol! I decided to go with a theme that was mainly based around guitars and synths. I also put in a few Asian instruments such as the koto to represent their trips to Japan. The title “Ikigai” is a Japanese concept that refers to one’s sense of purpose or reason to live and is a combination of the words “iki”(to live) and “gai” (reason). This concept can include people such as friends, families, and partners, as well as activities such as one’s hobby or pastime. It basically means that one can find joy in their life by being aligned with their purpose. I thought this concept would be perfect for the phasquerade because Dan and Phil’s ikigai or reason to live is each other. 🥰

As for the background image, I found a picture on Adobe Stock Photos of two masquerade masks that looked PERFECT for Dan and Phil. (The black one is Dan’s and the white one is Phil’s, obviously, lol 😂) Phanartists, feel free to use those masks in ur art! 👌🏻

The second song I made is an orchestral ballroom version of JVKE’s Golden Hour! It took me around two days to do, along with constant listening to the song to get the chords right and then add my own bits on top of it 😂 I’m really proud of this version because lemme tell ya, making orchestral music on Garageband IOS is harder than it looks 😭😅 I still can’t believe how far I’ve gone with making music on this app bc I started using it in 2018 and back then, I had a hard time navigating everything but I slowly worked my way up to where I am now, and tbh I still have far more to go! The background image I used for this is another stock image I found on Pexels that fit the vibe of the song! (Also the two men in the picture looked like Dan and Phil haha 😂)

Anyways, here's a little introduction of me: I’m Kristy, aka @nothoughtsonlytrance. My pronouns are she/they and I am pansexual! (Fun fact, I found out I was pan around the same time that Dan and Phil came out in 2019 lol) I’ve been watching Dan and Phil since around 2012/2013 (so when I was around 12 or 13 years old) because that was the time when I really started watching YouTube and eventually found their channels. I vividly remember watching the Photobooth Challenge video and crying with laughter because it was so hilarious. I continued to look forward to seeing their videos after school and finally got to see them on stage in 2018 for their Interactive Introverts tour when they came to Richmond, VA. (didn’t get VIP tickets for the meet and greet tho so I still have yet to meet them in person 😭🤞) It continues to be one of my favorite memories of them and I remember crying when seeing them on stage. Their videos mean so much to me and I even made my quote for my college graduation cap “Embrace the void and have the courage to exist” because their videos got me through the last two semesters of college!😎👌🏻(Which got noticed by Dan and Phil in their Phan Twitter Memes 2 video!) Words cannot express how proud I am of them, especially after their coming out videos and how they feel more free to be themselves! And I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them! (And also us haha)

I think the song that will be playing when I take the stage is “Once Upon a December” from the musical Anastasia! It is one of my favorite musicals and I even got to see it in NYC with my family a few years back! Also, as someone who was adopted from Russia, this song really speaks to me personally. I don’t speak Russian fluently, only a few basic words and phrases that my parents taught me that they learned when they were adopting me, (I only speak English) but I’ve been trying to learn the lyrics to the Russian version of the song so I can sing along with it too. (Pronouncing Russian isn’t easy haha)

Cronulla rugby player covers homophobic tattoo after backlash

The Cronulla junior rugby league player whose homophobic and offensive tattoos led to a ban from his club has covered them up with more ink on a trip to Bali.

The player is 23-year-old Joshua Taylor-Myles, who plays for the Aquinas Colts in south-western Sydney.

Last month, photos of his tattoos, initially unnoticed by his club, were posted and began to circulate on social media.

The homophobic tattoo, which was high up on the front of his thigh, read “eat s__t f___t”. A second tattoo reading “snort lines and f__k” was opposite on Joshua’s other leg.

The junior rugby league player’s bosses later told him to cover the tattoos up with tape or be banned from any NSW Rugby League-sanctioned competition.

The rugby player has now taken to Instagram to show he’d covered up the tattoos on a trip to Bali.

Official warning over homophobic ink

NRL reporter Phil Rothfield confirmed the NSW Rugby League weren’t aware of the original tattoos until the photos.

But he praised the league’s CEO for “coming down hard” on the junior rugby player’s “vile and offensive” ink.

A NSWRL spokesperson said, “Cronulla JRL has issued the player an official warning and asked him to cover the offending tattoos.

“The NSWRL and Cronulla JRL are committed to providing a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all people, including those of diverse sexualities and genders.

“Being an inclusive sport not only reflects our core values, it also reflects the diversity of our local communities.”

CHAPTER FOUR

Before Brooklyn knew it, she was allowed to go to her new home. She was nervous. It had been a week since the brunette had direct messaged Dan on twitter. A week of waiting in the orphanage. A week of agony, impatient-ness, and bruised ribs. 

But it was also a week of imagining. Imagining what her life was going to be, imagining what her new adoptive parents would be like. Imagining how this is going to affect her relationships, or improve her life.

She was finishing packing her things as a knock was placed on her door. Brooklyn quickly shoved a small music box into her backpack and zipped the bag. The rest of her suit cases and bags were in the SUV outside.

"You ready to go?" A male voice spoke, making Brooks heart pound with anxiety. She was met with Dan's face at the door. He was taller than she imagined. 

"Uhm.. Yeah. I think so. I just need to say goodbye to Amber" she said, a half smile on her face.

She slung the backpack over one shoulder, and headed past the man. As she walked past him, she was hit with a scent of cologne. It was hard to explain, but he smelled-- warm. Safe.

She walked the hall, and opened Amber's door. Amber met Brooklyn's eyes, and she couldn't help but notice that Amber didn't have a hint of sadness in her face. Brooklyn was given this golden opportunity, and both of the girls knew that she couldn't say no. 

It was something they both dreamed of, and it was finally ACTUALLY happening. 

"I'm so proud of you, Lyn" she spoke, pulling her into a hug.

"I'm really going to miss you" Brooklyn spoke back, a bitter-sweet smile on her face.

 "I know, but we can video chat every day, and I'll visit you every time Ms. Bradford lets me out" 

There was a silent agreement between the two that Brooklyn would sneak Amber out. Its something they joked about, and knew were something that was possible now.

"I know, but is it really going to be the same?" 

Amber's mouth twisted. "No. But I don't think that's a bad thing." 

Brook shifted her weight, pulling Amber into a hug.

"And hey, you better not go and forget about me if you get famous!" The ginger girl fully joked. 

"That could NEVER happen. If anything, you'll be way more famous before I ever am."

The two shared a moment before saying their goodbyes, and she was off.

She shut the orphanage doors behind her, and took a photo of the outside sign.

When she got to the truck, Phil was sitting in the passenger seat, and Dan was sat behind the drivers side. She quickly realized that the two had grabbed a Uber.

"Oh.." She spoke.

"Are you alright?" Phil asked, turning to face her.

"Yeah! I've just never been in an Uber before. Like, Ever." She laughed before climbing into the seat and buckling up, realizing that she were living through a memory she would remember forever.

"Oh, well, welcome to the Uber club!" the driver spoke, smiling. "Is the AC okay? I can turn it up if you need." he finished.

Time passed as they drove, and Brooklyn listened to the music on the radio. She couldn't identify the singer, but she was more focused on the the world in front of her.

She took photos on her old phone, fascinated at all the things she had seen before, but never truly  SEEN. She wanted to remember this forever.

The sights slowly turned into the city as they turned the corner and the SUV came to a stop.

The three all climbed out off the car, collecting all the luggage and bags from the boot. They thanked the driver, ensured they would tip, stood in front of the flats as Phil quickly checked the mail out front.

Brooklyn stood staring up at the tall building, feeling dizzy at how high up and how far back she had to tilt her head to see the top of the building. The three of them soon all carded inside and into Brooklyn's new home.

Her heart was pounding as she walked in, and recognized the house from her best friends videos. 

It was surreal. 

The two walked her to a bare room with a bed frame and a mattress, a desk, a lamp, and a wardrobe. "We can buy some things to make your room feel more like... well, yours." Phil spoke, as she awed at her new room. 

Compared to her room at the orphanage, this room felt huge. There was more space, a closet, and a window on the side. The walls were clean, and it didn't smell of must. 

It was more than Brooklyn could ask for. 

"Thank you.." she said, setting her bags down and sitting on the bed. 

"We have a guest room across the hall you can sleep in tonight, and Phil and I can set up your stuff for you tomorrow" Dan spoke, his voice tired. It was getting late, and the sun had already begun to set. 

"We should order some Pizza" Phil said, meeting Dan's eyes. It were almost as if he were asking his counter part for permission.

Brooklyn still didn't know the status of the two.

But two friend don't usually adopt somebody together, do they.

Soon, pizza was ordered and delivered, and Brooklyn was sat in the guest bed, TV playing in the background; and surrounded by warmth. She took small bites of her pizza every once in awhile as she texted on her phone. 

She filled her best friend in on her day, and her plans for the proceeding day. She listened to Amber speak about her day as well.

The two made plans to meet up, and hang out at the flat, possibly write something together.

That was something the two picked up from the orphanage. Having fun isn't easy to do when you're being worked to the bone the way they were, so they found their own ways to have fun.

They wrote music, and poetry. They sang, and learned how to dance the best they could. Between YouTube videos, and help from some of the other girls; the two picked up some useful skills. They just hadn't realized it.

Not a lot of good came from Brightside. Only pain, suffering, and labored work. Homework time was hell to focus during, and there was little off-time. We cleaned all the time, and did everything for ourselves.

In hindsight, Brooklyn learned to cook, do the laundry, fix a sink, she knew her first aid training, and she was really good at maths. She could sing, and dance, and play soccer. She learned to write cursive from watching the girls around her that had now left or found a family. 

She learned the world wasn't always a nice place.

Soon, the night slowly faded to darkness as Brooklyn fell asleep. Her body finally, for the first time in Brooklyn's entire life, feeling at peace.

Just a continuation of the Scumbag post because I reached the limit of photos I could attach to that post. Starting to think the tweets he made on the @whoknowsbitch1 about not having any friends was about himself, seeing as how he's stalked so many of mine.

In the chat with Phil on messenger (I can provide screenshots if needed) around this time frame he talks to Phil about a couple of the games like God Of War, they had a lengthy discussion about that because Phil was basically helping him with how to defeat some areas and facts about the game. They also talk about Assassins Creed at some point, and he told Phil about him getting Jedi Fallen Order the last Xmas they ever spoke on messenger. Not to mention he always talks about Spiderman, he talked alot about Animal Crossing & the Pokemon games. This info is all on the accounts I came across AND his last Reddit account I found is a username dedicated to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (CrimsonGuardianXCII) also Stacey plays The Sims game, she dedicated accounts to her playing the games and the characters she made.

*Image marked 3* Its super creepy a grown man is using a fake birth date, to follow women, (the one girl he follows and communicated with January 14th 2020 was 15!!!) his birth year is 1992. But its the fact he's targeted my friends to follow making himself seem younger than what he is. Super gross. Another thing is me & Phil whenever we're sus of an account we check back on it after a few days to see if Liam reacts, so what I mean by reacts is does he delete the account, which he's done a couple times, deletes posts, which he's done in the past before or changed the username. So as we predicted, even though we sent him no links to my tumblr, Phil blocked him and he must've gone to stalk Phils account or saw the link on my Reddit account. He's got rid of followers and some people he follows, he's deleted posts such as: Asking about putting Viagra in his luggage, tweets about Spotify and the Animal Crossing picture he used that was Stacey's character and the switch game. And his likes have gone down. This is a typical reaction once he's been found out, giving himself away even more.

*Image marked 4* This is YouTubes way of blocking a channel, if he left a comment, I won't see it, it essentially goes into a void. But anyway, I blocked both the ones that I know Liam has, Phil showed me the first one (they uploaded Uni projects on there, that's how Phil knew about it) when we realised Liam & Stacey were stalking. Phil wanted me to block as many accounts as possible so that I had no interaction with him, the second one was on his Twitch, that I blocked (which I found when blocking his twitter related to his Twitch) I have never interacted with Liam on there, I have never messaged him on there. I'm guessing the "Hi Kirsty👍🏻" is when he was stalking and realised I had blocked his account and him getting angry, that is how he exposes himself. But on his fake Twitter where he's pretending to be a female with a fake name, fake birth year and interacting with 15 year old girls, he's talking about ANOTHER youtube channel (none of the accounts I've blocked have numbers in the name) So this shows the extent that whatever platform he is on, he has made numerous accounts. What is this obsession with me? Because the latest findings with that Twitter account truly shows he is a crazy freak, not to mention the many questions as to why a 27 year old man (at the time) was interacting with a 15 year old. Its gross.

I think its safe to say, I've provided enough evidence (don't worry there's lots more still to come) but from the evidence provided, the only person here who's been actively watching is Liam. From the fake Reddit accounts, fake twitter accounts, fake YouTube accounts, fake Instagram accounts and possibly he has fake Facebook accounts, the extent he has gone to constantly have an eye on what me or my husband Phil is doing is borderline crazy. I think he wanted to stay relevant because truthfully he's a loner, I think he's miserable with his own life, so therefore stalking his former mates wife and when he's caught out he likes to think he's the one that's being stalked. When in reality he's blocked and that's that. He's pretended to be a female twice, all whilst stalking my friends, which is so creepy. A 32 year Old man pretending to be younger than 30 to stalk women, it sounds as crazy as he is. The whole thing of "I'm a man no one believes me" is simply because he is full of shit. The only thing he's got screenshots of is stalking our accounts AFTER we've blocked his main account and even then it was us retweeting cheating quotes and narcissist posts, meaning he's using fake accounts. I've never followed his friends, I have mutual friends of his yes, but I never followed them first. They added me on Facebook, followed me on Instagram/Twitter first. He thinks he's someone special when really he's a nobody. It took us to June 2020 to realise he was doing anything because we didn't care about him. That's how much we cared about him, as soon as he was blocked, we didn't give a flying fuck about his existence. But this person who's boasted about his shit sex life, needing viagra, not cleaning his arse properly, bad mouthed his wife numerous times and has endless health issues, wanted to stay relevant, he wanted us to give him attention because its what he craved. The great thing is, if he's gone chatting crap to anyone and they approach me, I can simply send them the link to this tumblr which will reveal everything. If they looked at my Facebook, they'll see evidence and the link on my Facebook. The great thing is, him being so miserable is karma. He will be found out eventually by all those around him, and that will be karma, for providing so much evidence, for not moving on with his life when he was first blocked and for ever thinking he was smart enough to pull this off.

I’m so conflicted with fandom stuff at this point. Like a lot of beeduo fans take everything to the extreme, break boundaries unapologetically, and don’t have a care in the world. It makes me so wildly uncomfortable. I’m on the side that many would consider “old” in the fandom at 21 and it just feels so wrong to log onto Twitter or scroll to tumblr tags and see people shipping actual minors. I use these sites to see cool fan theories and art for the dsmp and the story that’s been curated - not to see people analyzing every word, move, photo, tweet, etc that these creators are making.

Definitely not the first fandom I’ve been in but since I’ve been in many and I’ve grown up with these sites and learned what’s right and wrong I just hate seeing people ignore specific guidelines laid out by the people they ‘stan’. I’ve seen creators crash and burn and ruin relationships because of fans like this. You’ve mentioned Dan and Phil but also Markiplier and Jack, on an even bigger level there was the massive shit show with 1D and Larry shippers.

Fandoms are cool as hell if people are respectful to the art/show/movie/game/whatever but as soon as it comes to real people I swear individuals become worse in fandoms. These are people - people who are friends let’s not be fucking weird about it.

I know you craft your own online experience but beeduo shippers both in canon for character and irl has spread so much I can’t not see it. The meet up is wonderful for the fact it’s two friends who have crafted such a fast growing relationship and have finally met up and you can see their excitement from it. But the fan content has been reaching unbearable levels with truthing the “real relationship” between the two and analyzing every comment made. But it’s also given some fantastic fucking art that I have to applaud. I’m hoping the excitement from the meet up dies down in a few weeks and we can go back to not being gross.

yeah its. im really hoping stuff calms down once tubbo and ranboo living together irl becomes something normal and not something to freak out about so at the very least, the weird people start to settle down.
