synopsis: you were scrolling through tiktok when a video of a girl doing her boyfriends makeup came up on your fyp and an idea pops into your head.

a/n: been so obsessed w him lately it's RIDICULOUS. he's so bf coded so i had to make this. btw i literally wrote this using my makeup routine so!

it was a quiet evening in you and weesa's shared apartment. he was playing video games in your office/his game room while you were sitting near him on the couch, scrolling through tiktok. after aimlessly swiping past the 15th capcut template edit you've seen, a video finally catches your attention. the girl in the video was doing her makeup routine on her boyfriend and it was literally the cutest thing ever. you sneakily look over at weesa, who's completely engrossed in his game. shutting off your phone, you walk over to him.

you place your hands on his shoulders, poking your head around the right of his face to get his attention.

"weeeesa" you say, no response. you reach for his headset and lift the right side off of his ear. "weesa!" he quickly turns to look at you, startled by your antiques.

"god, you scared me baby.." he chuckles, "what is it?"

"i wanna do something with you" you smile cheekily at him. you already knew he wouldn't reject the idea of doing his makeup because he's so down for you and anything you want to do to him, but you just wanted to build up to your request to mess with him.

he grabs your wrist, pulling you down onto his lap. "what do you wanna do, pretty?" he says lowly.

"not what you're thinking, you freak!" you playfully slap his chest.

"so you're not tryna match my freak?" he raises his eyebrow all sassy at you.

"no girl i'm not tryna match your freak," you say, copying his tone "i wanna do your makeup" eyelashes batting at him, waiting for his response. you hold his left hand in between your own, holding it up to your chest in a pleading manner. "pretty pleaseee, best boyfie in the world?"

"okay okay, i was gonna say yes anyway, you know that y/n" he pinches your nose. "so we gon' do this?" he asks you, clearly excited but trying to be nonchalant.

"yes sir." you get off his lap and help him up, pulling him to your shared bedroom. you seat weesa in the fluffy stool in front of your brightly lit vanity.

"put this on" you grab your my melody headband, putting it on his head to push his hair back.

"how do i look with it?" he asks, looking up at you.

"adorable" you flick the ear on the headband. he flashes you a toothy smile in response to your compliment. "so first we need to prime your face" you say digging through your makeup drawer to find your favorite primer.

"what does that do?" he questions.

"it makes your skin smooth so the makeup stays on and looks good" you pump the primer onto his face, rubbing in it. "now we need to let it dry for a minute" in the meantime, you look for your concealer and brow gel.

"baby?" he calls.

"hmm?"

"is the priming thing supposed to be sticky on my face like this?" he touches his face as if there's some kind of gross substance on it.

"yes my love it's so the makeup sticks to your face. cool right?" he nods, amazed by the wonders of makeup. "so now i'm gonna brush out your eyebrows, then use this gel to hold them down," "look up for me" you tilt his chin up gently. as you‘re brushing his eyebrows, weesa watches you with nothing but love and adoration in his eyes. he's glad he can make you happy by sitting here letting you do your thing on his face.

"you're so beautiful" weesa states as he continues scanning your face and all the expressions you make. you smile warmly at him, halting what you were doing on his eyebrows. you lean down to press a soft kiss on his lips. he almost follows your lips when you pull away to resume what you were doing.

"by the time i'm done, you'll be the most beautiful of them all" you finish up his eyebrows, examing your work. "do you like them?" he looks in the mirror, eyes widening.

"woah, mama you're like, magic?!" he starts gawking at himself in the mirror.

"yeah? i’m glad you like them!" you blush at his compliment. "okay, next is foundation. i don't know if it's your shade but... we'll thug it out!" you grab a clean beauty blender before pumping some foundation onto his face. "close your eyes, love" he complies and you begin blending it in.

"drop the skincare routine oh my god? your skins so clear and smooth" despite how long you've been with weesa, his flawless skin always amazes you.

"can i confess?" he pauses. "sometimes i use your serums"

"i knew it! that's why they always finish so fast!" you gasp. "they're so expensive but i can't even be mad at you cause' i love you tons" you continue smoothing and blending the foundating, perfecting it as much as you can.

"okay, keep your eyes closed for a little while longer so i can spray on setting spray" he nods.

"that's the stuff that keeps the makeup in place all day right?"

"perioddd you know your stuff!" weesa always watches you when you do your makeup so he must pick things up here and there. "alright i'm spraying now so don't open your eyes or mouth or anything"

"can i breathe?"

"nope" you spray a good coat on, fanning it to dry. "okay, you can open now," his eyes finally open and he lets out a loud exhale from holding his breath. "you’re skin’s perfect so we don’t need concealer which means we can get right to my favorite part! powder timeeee!"

"ooou, if it's your favorite then it's my favorite. powder timeeee!" weesa cheers.

"you're so cutie patootie, weesa" you giggle, poking his nose. you get your translucent powder from the drawer and a clean powder puff, applying some onto it, patting excess on the back of your hand. "okay look up with your eyes only" he complies and you begin pressing the powder onto his undereye area, doing the same on the other eye. with the excess that's on your hand, you put on the rest of his face, blending it all out, leaving him with a smooth matte finish.

"all done!" you put the products away and grab your eyeliner, lash curler, and mascara. "now i'm gonna do your eye makeup, it'll literally make the biggest difference"

"am i gonna be a baddie?" he says jokingly.

"the baddest ever, badder than ive. ima get you right stink," you tell him. "close your eyes for me" he closes his eyes and you start drawing on the liner, winging it out perfectly at the end. you copy the wing on his other eye and let it dry for a few seconds. "okay, open" you say tapping his cheek. "im gonna curl your lashes, so let me know if i'm pinching you, ok baby?"

"mhm"

you begin to curl his long lashes, holding it on each eye for about 10 seconds before moving on to mascara. you move to stand in between his legs so you get can a better angle. "can you tilt your head up a bit but look at me with your eyes" you hold his chin as you apply the mascara, feeling his gaze on you.

"hi pretty" he says sheepishly, loosely wrapping his arms around your hips.

"hi my love" you see him blush at the pet name, even though you call him this all the time. as weesa's watching you, it feels as though he wants to say something. for as long as you've known him, weesa's always been quiet and hasn't had a way with words. but he makes sure you know he loves you through actions

"what's on your mind?" you ask him moving to the other eye.

"just.. that you're the most gorgeous and best girlfriend in the whole world and i love you a lot. and that i think you're so talented and cool cause' you can do makeup like this" as he says this, you meet his eyes.

"awww babyyy, really? i really don't deserve you, thank you weesa, i love you too" you finish his mascara, placing it back in the drawer. you turn back to weesa, holding either side of his face, placing a kiss on his forehead. he chuckles at the gesture.

"guess what comes next" you say, still caressing his face.

"hmm, lip combo?"

"wronggg, blush!" you say, finally letting go of weesa to get the product. he frowns at the loss of your warmth.

"i don't even need blush, all i need is to make eye contact with you for 5 seconds"

"proof?" i challenge. he looks me in the eyes and just as he said, he was already blushing. "cutie" you poke his nose again before putting the blush away since he proved it to be useless. "okay now is lips"

"but baby. if you do a lip combo, i won't be able to kiss you"

"how about this?" you grab your favorite lip tint and apply it, smacking your lips twice before leaning down to kiss him. his arms snake back around you, this time pulling you onto his lap. you wrap your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss ensuring the lip tint tranfers. when you finally pull away, you admire your work.

"there you go!" you smile innocently.

"that was so sexy, i won't even lie" he says, earning a chuckle from you. his arms still firm around your waist.

"do you wanna look at the finished product?" you move your head to the side so he can look at his makeup in the vanity mirror.

"you like it?" he nods immediately, proud of the makeover you gave him.

"you're so talented y/n, you made me, a grown man, beautiful?!" he exclaims, pulling you back close to him.

"i told you i'd get you right" you say, leaning in to capture his red stained lips again, smiling into the kiss. "my pretty boy"

Heart Trend Part 2

It's a surprise headcanon post!!

Okay so, way back in July, @obeymewanderer left a comment on the brothers doing the heart trend headcanons about wanting to see Barbatos. So I did the rest of the characters and then got distracted with events and forgot to post it. My bad!

Anyway, here it finally is. I figured since I'm not posting anything else right now, I can finally post this even though I wrote a while back.

This is also the first time I'm including Mephisto, Raphael, and Thirteen. I just felt like this was something simple enough that I could write their reactions without too much of an issue! But don't expect that to start being a thing... I'm really waiting for them to become dateable... but it's taking forever... I dunno, we'll see.

Diavolo

Oh! He's seen this! You're making a heart, right? Hang on, he's got this. Completes the heart and he's totally thrilled about it. Grinning from ear to ear.

He probably saw the video you made of all the brothers and he's so happy to be included in the trend.

Please send him all the pictures, MC. He wants pictures of the two of you, but he also wants your pictures of Lucifer doing the trend. Don't worry, he won't show them to anyone else!

Takes it upon himself to do the trend with others, too. Lucifer is not pleased when Diavolo tries to do it with him, blaming you for turning him onto the trend. But secretly everybody finds it pretty adorable, especially considering how excited Diavolo is about it.

Barbatos

You are not expecting him to know the trend, but when you approach with your half heart, he smiles at you indulgently. He shifts into demon form and now you're worried you've offended him.

But no, he's completing your heart with his tail. You're so surprised since he doesn't normally allow anyone to touch his tail that you're immediately flustered by it.

He explains that due to his tail being forked, he felt it would complete the heart nicely. Would you prefer him to use his hand, MC?

No matter what you say, he does it anyway. Now you've got pictures of the completed heart with his tail and his hand. It's such a cute moment, you're almost hesitant to post the video. You do it anyway, but the pictures you keep to yourself.

Simeon

Does not know the trend at all. Looks at your hand in bafflement. Quietly tries to figure out what you're doing for a long moment of silence.

He ends up completing the heart anyway just because he copies what you're doing. You have to position your hand a little bit to make it, but as soon as you do, he gets it.

Laughs in delight and melts you with his smile. It's a heart! Of course, he sees it now, MC! That's so cute!

Explain to him about the trend, then send him the video and any pictures you take. He might try to take some pictures himself, but we all know how that tends to turn out.

Solomon

Knows exactly what you're doing. Completes the heart and can't resist using magic to add a little brightly colored flair to it. You gasp in delight because it looks so cool.

Enjoys making you happy, so waits patiently for you to finish your video and take all the pictures.

When it seems like you're done, he takes full advantage of your close proximity. Grabs the hand you were using to make the heart and pulls you close, planting a kiss on your cheek.

If you protest, he'll apologize. He's sorry, MC, but you're just so cute right now.

Luke

Thrilled. Of course he's seen all the videos you've posted with the others! He knows exactly what to do! Completes the heart with you.

He's so happy about it, he watches the video you took multiple times. Keeps any pictures you take, too. Maybe even has one printed so he can put it in a cute little frame.

Now he wants to do the trend with everybody else, too. Nobody can refuse and they all know what it is now, so he ends up with several videos. But yours is still his favorite.

Look, MC! Now he has pictures with everybody just like you! Suggests the two of you make scrapbooks of all the cute pictures you have of everyone.

Mephistopheles

Absolutely not. He knows what the trend is, but he refuses to do it with you. Why would he do something like that with a human like you?

Show him the video of you doing it with Lord Diavolo and he'll change his tune. Okay, fine, MC. If you insist.

Completes the heart, allows you to take a video and a couple of pictures. But in exchange, you need to send him those pictures of you doing the trend with Lord Diavolo.

Acts like this has been a harrowing experience for him, but you can't help but wonder if he secretly liked it.

Raphael

Complete confusion. Looks at your hand in concern. MC, your hand appears to be in some kind of claw like formation. Did you injure it?

Explain the trend to him, but he might just get more confused. What is the purpose of this, exactly? You do this for fun?

He won't mind completing the heart with you. Lets you take the video and take pictures if that's what you want. He doesn't really get it, but it seems to make you happy, so that's fine.

Show him the videos and pictures of Simeon and Luke doing it to make him smile. Okay, now that's pretty cute, he has to admit.

Thirteen

She's aware of the trend and normally she wouldn't bother to participate, but… it's you. And the fact that it's you, with your beautiful shiny soul, makes her giggle and complete the heart immediately.

Now she's flustered, but she acts like it's no big deal. Of course she knows the trend, MC! She lives in a cave, not under a rock!

You are thrilled when she lets you take a few pictures of the two of you doing it. Warns you to keep those pictures to yourself, though.

Makes sure you know that she's only doing it for you. Wouldn't do the trend with anybody else. But you already know she likes you. You just smile and nod.

so why do you like Scourge the Hedgehog? What got you interested in him?

Yo my first ask!!!! Thank you so much for asking me a question, and to anybody else, I'll always be happy to respond to questions you may have about me or my oc's. Anyways, this is gonna be kinda long. ^^'

Long Explanation: So I've always liked Scourge design wise, ever since I was pretty little. Maybe about seven was when I saw him for the first time? I used to mistake him for Manic, but eventually learned the difference. When I learnt he was an Evil Counterpart of Sonic, I was hooked on him. I've always been a fan of AU's, and the concept has been something I loved to write for a very long time. Since I was young, I didn't understand his character, and wrote him in a dumb way when I was younger. Usually as a generic bad boy antagonist in Sonic High School AU's and stuff...

Later on during 2019, I was bored and decided to read more of the Archie Comics. That's when I learnt his backstory, and I became HOOKED on his universe, and the other Anti Counterparts. I began doing research, and I ended up starting a Gacha Life Shorts Show called The Misadventures Of Moebius on Tik Tok. It's still currently going, and I genuinely have fun writing it. It's mostly just me expanding on Anti Mobius, since the Archie Comics came to an end, and we never got to see many things from the universe. Many of the early episodes are inaccurate to my thoughts on most of the characters nowadays, and how they act. But to be fair, it's my first ever series, and I was only about 12 when I began making it for the first time. And at that point, I didn't even finish reading Archie like a dummy. I basically wanted to make silly shorts with some goofy characters I liked.

AUGH SO CRINGE AUGHHH. TmT

I appreciate his cool design, and the many writing opportunities he holds. It's easy to see Scourge as all evil, and write him as a cool villain. This is because of his cocky and rebellious demeanor. But it's also just as easy to see him as a misunderstood and not all evil character, which is how I personally see him. I think the idea of him and his father would've been cool to see more of, since obviously Scourge's home life effected the way he turned out growing up. And that if he's with the right people, he could've been just like Sonic! Kind of like an inverse on what he says to Sonic during one of their battles. In other people's AU's he's still a bad guy, but in my own I redeemed him. The nuanced way that people can see his character is a reason why I love him so much!

Plus, I like how he isn't super crazy like other Archie Sonic Villain's. Sometimes he's just kind of a dickbag, and I always enjoy someone who can be threatening, but also silly. I don't love everything about his character of course, he has some things that I try to forget about with his writing. But that's basically the case for every single character I like from anything ever. XD

I love this little shit so much. XD

TLDR:I've liked the green goober for a while now, but only since 2019 have I been more public about my love for this dummy. I love the idea of his universe, I like the many paths writers can take his character, and I just think his personality is really fun.

If you're interested, bellow is a work in progress on my Headcannon/AU Scourge that I use in my TMOM Episodes and videos! I hope to draw him, and the other cannon cast more often. And maybe interacting with my Anti Counterparts I made, or original characters from his universe I've built up for five years now. But I'm starting out by just making him a ref page. My next post will hopefully be him, or my next video. ^w^

I do find it a little depressing, knowing I've got the knack but not the focus. Chris Bowden talks about "the knack" in a lot of his videos. It's this sort of nebulous framework in the brain that one can be born with (or cultivate) that makes one interested in the mechanical and scientific. I don't think I could do a good job of explaining it, but watch a bunch of Chris Bowden videos and you'll understand.

I've always had a mind for the mechanical. I was given a screwdriver when I was a kid and took apart my toys and then reassembled them for fun. I unscrewed everything within my 4 year old reach, people would sit down in chairs and they'd fall apart because I'd secretly taken out half the screws.

I've always been interested in science and mechanical things. So much so that I always imagined myself going to college for it. And I did! And I quickly realized that engineering classes require a certain level of focus that my brain just doesn't have available. If I was properly medicated I probably could have done it, but I was medless going into college! I wasn't even on HRT!

So I quit engineering and now I'm a writing major and while I'm also pretty good at that, I do miss the idea of doing cool engineering shit. I'm still interested in it, I still have that knack, and I think wherever I go in life I'm going to keep trying to meet that need. The need to tinker and learn. I probably won't ever do it as a job, but the same way an engineer might write a book as a hobby, I might build something cool as a hobby.

This post was going to be sad but as I wrote it, it turned out happy. I think that's kind of how life is. Yeah it's sad that I couldn't hack it as an engineer. But writing is really fun and makes me happy.

just the one time, not usually. it was a threadfic - a mdzs/tgcf crossover where wwx was raised by hualian instead of the jiangs.

yeah. the good ole ctrl+f+replace of names. i remember they even stole my author's note. i'd said something to the effect of "i have to go study..." (i was in high school) and they added "which i didn't even end up doing..."

yes and i think fic translation is so cool!

but it's honestly a rotating rotisserie throughout life of my fav ships depending on what i'm hungry for at a given moment. it's 2024 and i'm back in ff7 hell, for instance.

15. what is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

歃血; blood oath, and it pains me deeply to admit. not because i have any measure of anxiety about returning to it, or feel any pressure, but because it genuinely had one of my favorite premises and setups, was super gory and horrific, and i'd packed in every crazy trope i love into the outline. i was really excited about. then the fandom imploded and i can't look at it anymore.

she's my white whale. i'd finish it for @megafaunatic alone.

i put off every single sex scene in a fic until i had written everything else, such that i had to sit and write 10,000 words, spread across three scenes, of sex. worst week of my life.

internal logic, because i think it's so obvious in my head that i forget to explain it in words on the page.

i think i always can improve on character voice. that's an eternal work in progress.

18. thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics?

it's cool. probably good to consult a native speaker if writer of the fic doesn't speak it, though?

christ. harry potter, by hand, in pencil, in an a5 notebook.

20. favorite fic you have written?

recency bias compels me to say by the time the apocalypse began, because i worked my ass and head off for it, and i ended up really happy with how it turned out. sci-fi's not really my wheelhouse.

i have a huge soft spot for my clj arranged marriage fic, 双命; twin fates, because i had such a blast writing it. and 总有一天; a place to hide (can’t find one near) will always be special to me, because it was like taking a huge, glittering, orgasmic shit.

What keeps me from writing: my own insecurity I guess. I can write random scenes that never go anywhere but I struggle writing complete stories because that's when my stupid goblin brain will hit the breaks and be like: hold on a second, this is nothing like what the writing books say. For some reason I get stupidly hung up on doing things the "right" way (aka what some professional writing person has said). I have to actively, mentally go against it and tell myself to write things the way I feel are right for me. And on the bad days I can't tell anymore if what I just wrote is good or bad because all I can hear in my head is: this not how you're supposed to do it. I like to think I'm getting better at it.

Let me see your writing books. Give me those blog posts and videos too. Wow, there's a lot here, isn't there? A lot of people seem to consider themselves authorities on writing. Some people who you know are very successful, and others who you've never seen or heard of before. And they all seem to be saying something different, don't they? Or maybe they'll reference each other like they're all strands in some grand dreamcatcher of professional acceptability.

Okay, we've looked at it for long enough. What I have right here is a large bottle of kerosene - you might want to stand back, actually. I'm going to go ahead and start spraying down all these rules and standards until they're nice and rankly damp. It might take a second.

They're wrong, you know. Anyone who gives you a step-by-step guide on any form of art and tells you it's the only way to do it is wrong. Structure isn't bad, per say. If you're a visual artist, it could help to learn traditional anatomy. If you're a filmmaker, you should...I mean, it would help to know how to use a camera. You should know how to use the tools you want to use to some extent, and YouTube tutorials could be pretty useful for that -

For some reason there's a very terrible trend of new, unpublished, non-working writers feeling like they need to give advice in absolutes instead of sharing what works for them. There's a strange height of unsubstantiated confidence in people like this that always leaves me kind of befuddled - my example is always a woman I saw online who explained that every story needs a second act twist. That still bothers me.

But it's not really any better with famous and massively successful writers who release books on how to write. Not only does it create the dangerous unspoken narrative that if someone buys the book and follows every step they'll have a carbon-copy career, but I've found that once you write for long enough you forget a lot of the struggles that beginning writers have. I've been writing for fifteen years, and I no longer really remember what it feels like to struggle in a lot of profound ways that many do. I have doubts still. I'll commonly ask myself if what I write is actually any good at all. But it comes up way less often than it used to.

You're doing a really good job. I think that's probably enough fuel.

I think this is more of an issue with those who already have a predisposition for creativity, and by what you've posted on your blog I can see that you're a very skilled and impressive artist already. Your bronze Icarus was especially touching to me, both emotionally and in the sense that I just kind of wish that I could touch it. You express movement in a lot of subtle ways. It's really cool!

Maybe switching to writing feels like starting over. Like you have to get someone's permission before you can just start. Damn, my match broke.

Where was I? Oh, right.

You know how to read, don't you? You've read stories, or had stories read to you? If so, then that's your permission right there. If you make an effort to absorb a variety of stories from different perspectives, as well as engage in the world and people around you, as well as take time for introspection towards your own inner world...well, that's everything you need. From that point on you can go to workshops and get feedback or whatever, but that's not something you really have to worry about yet.

Now that I think about it, you might be better with a matchbook than I am. A sculptor much have steadier hands than someone like me. Ah, there! Fantastic.

Pairing: Levi x Fem!Reader

Genre and tags: Modern AU, fluff, romance, being a couple, angst, insecure reader, hurt and comfort.

Concept: While looking on your phone at some fun ideas for baking and cooking for Levi you come across a lot of comments and posts about what makes a woman beautiful. You go against your instincts to stay away and dive deeper only to make yourself spiral into self-hate. Levi catches you doing this and showers you in love.

Levi leaned over the back of the sofa and looked down at you. "You need anything, love?"

You smiled up at your boyfriend. "All good. I'm just browsing Instagram for cool cooking and baking ideas."

Levi leaned lower and kissed you. "You're too good to me. I'll make us a pot of tea."

"Okay!"

Your eyes flicked back to your phone and you began browsing once more. You moved through the videos posted about cooking and made notes on a few. You hummed a little song to yourself as you felt pure happiness as you looked up new ideas. You were excited to try a peanut butter, banana and chocolate chip cookie someone suggested.

Ideal woman.

You don't know why, but your eyes seemed to lock onto that comment. You frowned a little as a pang of darkness started inside you. You looked at the replies to the comment and saw everyone was talking about the baker. You looked at the video and saw how pretty the woman was. You clenched your phone a little before moving on and trying to focus on baking.

Special routine to make me beautiful.

You gulped hard and didn't understand what had happened. You were happily looking through videos of amazing cooking and baking, but now you were on Instagram models. You saw their routines, how they did their makeup, the things they wore and how people talked about them.

The more you delved deeper the more you were damaging your own self-confidence. You knew you shouldn't be looking for your own good, but you just kept doing it and comparing yourself. You pinched and pulled at your skin as hatred towards yourself consumed you. You felt a lump in your throat at a few comments saying how these women were the perfect women and men deserve women like that.

"Love?"

You looked up at Levi. "H-Hey."

He placed the pot of tea down before sitting by your feet. "Come here."

You sat up and whined. "I don't think you'll want that."

"Why not?"

"Well, I'm not that pretty and I'm a bit..."

Levi grabbed your arm and dragged you closer. "Have you been looking at those models again?"

You blushed a little. "Yes."

Levi held you close to him. "My love, you are the most beautiful woman in the world to me. I love you with all my heart and soul. I wouldn't change you for the world."

You played with his shirt. "Well, they wear lots of makeup and I don't."

"I love your natural look. I love that I see you a lot without any on at all. You're so beautiful without it." He kissed the end of your nose. "Besides, if you wore a lot of makeup it'd get all over the furniture and clothes. Imagine cleaning that out."

You giggled a little. "Yeah, you're right." You hummed. "What about my body?"

"It's sexy as fuck. You know how much I love seeing you naked. I loved biting and kissing every inch of you."

You blushed hard. "You're right."

He massaged your thigh. "You're just stunning."

"Thank you. But Levi."

"I love you. I fell in love with you, not those women. Besides, a lot use filters."

You hummed. "You're right."

Levi cupped your face. "Beauty is subjective darling, so what people find beautiful is different to others. Those women on your phone? I don't find them attractive." He slowly pushed you down making you giggle. "Oh, but you? You are sexy and beautiful. I just want you all the time."

You moaned as Levi kissed and nipped your neck and chest. "Levi."

He leaned up and looked down at you. "I wish you saw yourself the way I see you. You shine brighter than anyone I've ever seen. Other women are like dull grey blobs, but you? You are this angel."

You smiled a little. "You're sweet."

"Besides, if all women aimed to be like those models and men like the male models, wouldn't it be boring? We'd all look the same and it'd be bland."

You played with his shirt. "You're right."

Levi kissed your forehead. "Kiss it better." He hummed a laugh. "I know that my words won't fix the years of wounds you've gained about your self-image, but I am happy to help you slowly heal some of them."

I see you found my post (which actually was just rambling again) from last week 😊 You're right, it can be time-consuming to collect all the interviews (I search for articles as well as video and audio interviews and boy, this man has a lot to say) but I do have several reasons why I do it. You asked, so I might as well explain it:

1. I think it's quite evident that I am rather enthusiastic about Richard, his music and him as a person. For over 8 years, to be exact. So learning about his views on things, his work process and everything in between brings me immense joy (since I love researching in general). And when I'm already listening to an interview or reading one, I might as well save it if I'd like to come back to it later.

Posting/reblogging superficial things about him (his looks etc) is fun and all, but at the end of the day, he as an individual being is so so interesting and listening to him talking etc. makes me the most happy regarding him.

2. I like collecting in general, especially books (mostly historical) and records, and it's kind of a "soothing" feeling for me to know exactly where I can find something when I'm looking for specific information.

3. When I get asks on here or writing posts with information about Richard, I'd like to support my statements and writings about him with sources, preferably from himself. I don't approve of spreading rumors, personal stuff Richard himself hasn't confirmed or half-truths where nobody knows where they came from in the first place.

I think this is a relic from my studies at university when I wrote a bunch of papers and essays. One thing my professors drilled into my head was the fact that no matter how good something is written, if the statements and information in it aren't backed up with sources, it's worth nothing and could also just have been made up.

After a few scenes from the music video Yena was shown as she was sitting on the floor and watching the cuts. The staff member told her something and she laughed. Then she recognised the other camera and waved.

"Did you record me just now?"

"Ah, then you must saw my cool face. I feel shy."

Some laughed at her sillyness.

"Unnie made my make-up so pretty. I'm gonna fall in love with myself."

Then the camera zoomed in on her face and she stayed serious. Until she pretended to bite the camera.

She showed off her dress, spinning around.

"I'm having so much fun today. I hope it's not too much."

Recording Behind The Scene

Overall it was a regular recording video. Taeyong and Chenle visited her one by one. At one point her face was red because of that one long line in the song. But at the end, she looked so happy. The video ended with her little speech.

"This whole week was so exciting for me. I hope you guys also love this song. I put a lot of work on it. Thank you for giving me this chance. See you guys."

Week one of learning animation!

First of all, I've wanted to start learning this for ages, so I'm excited to finally start! I'll keep this updated weekly if I can, just to keep track of everything I've gotten done. The first week was super fun!

First I watched some videos on the different types of motion and speeds, then did some exercises with those:

Next, I decided to change things up from a square and experimented with a ball falling. I'll have to look up some tutorials on how to do those properly so that I can better understand the physics behind it. Here it is:

After that, I looked into some things involving character animation. I learned the beginnings of key frames, extremes, breakdowns, and overshoots. The most common beginner exercise that I could find seemed to be a head turn, so I tried my hand at it. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

After that one, I was feeling confident and tried something bigger.

I love this one, and it was super fun to draw. It's from a scene I wrote a while ago, and It's cool to see it moving.

Anyway, to finish it off, I wanted to challenge myself by doing another head turn, only this time I wanted to color it. I looked through my character list and decided on my DnD character, Tycco. He has simple shapes, but cool colors. Plus a hat.

This one took me much longer than the rest, but it was worth it.

He's so adorable, especially with his ear popping up :D

Anyway, that's all for week one!

I feel like a did a lot this week, and I'm super happy with my progress. Plus the whole thing was a ton of fun.

Next week I'm going to be looking into more about motion and timing, plus a ball drop and sack of flour.

It just seems Wyvern can't stop getting into trouble after the recent events that happened and now it has struck in the Soul Society. Now one could be wondering; did it stop? Well....No. Because now it seems Wyvern has started trouble in Neo Gotham. Lets see how the dark knight feels about this?

Terry Mcginnis a.k.a Batman, Maxine Gibson a.k.a codename Black cat belongs to me and is from the animated show Batman Beyond. Some others will be seen or mentioned in the drabble.

Seems like the DBT has gotten used to the city of Neo Gotham and it seems Terry was happy about it. Seeing and hearing they have really did well but he was unsure about how they been. Shdwkyz seems to be doing just fine too so they were hanging out together. Maxine was talking with Fosh about some new codes and things and the others chatting and eating like nothing was wrong.

"So then I get why you were so busy. Is that what you were saying?" Fosh asked seeing the new program that Maxine nods.

"Yeah! That way, if you need a back up, you can download this if you wish." she smiled as everyone else was happy about it. However, that's when a phone call happened on both Maxine and Fosh's laptops.

"Huh?" The two looks to open it but saw a video call with head chief Barbara Gordan was in her office but she seemed a bit upset about something.

"Ummm, is something wrong miss Commissioner?" Maxine asked.

"You guys need to come to the downtown station..Now." she said with arms crossed but the hackers blinks but looked nervous. "Ummm okay?"

"Oh, and bring Ink with you. I need to talk to her and her fraction as well." she said before ending the call to leave the hackers quiet. Everyone else blinks wondering what was going on.

"Uhhh what's wrong?" Terry asked but Maxine sighed.

"The chief wants all of us at the station like right now.." she said.

"Huh? But why?" Navarro asked.

"I don't know. She seems a bit upset about something but she means everyone..even Ink too." Maxine said as she tense to blink to Shdwkyz look at her.

"Ink.."

"Ummm..I didn't do it? "She said giggling nervous but Shdwkyz sweatdrops before sighing.

"Even so, lets hurry. We shouldn't keep her waiting." Max said seeing everyone getting up to head to the station. Now they were curious to what is happening.

~~~Later that day at the station~~~

Ink was sitting in the chair while seeing the others in shock after being called in a while ago. However, they were not expecting Barbara to be a bit upset while having her arms crossed over her chest. Though, why would she be upset? Well.....

"Okay, I'm going to try to say this as calm as I can..." she said taking a deep breath then speaks: "HOW THE HECK DID ONE SWORD DO ALL THIS DAMAGE IN GOTHAM!?" she said to see Ink tense looking nervous while Sai and Terry blinks to hear this.

"Wait, what do you mean?" he asked but Barbara sighed to look at Terry.

"What do I mean? You mean you haven't heard of the recent reports this week about some demon sword flying around?! I been getting call after call about the same thing: A scary demon sword comes crashing through the streets spreading fear into all!" she said but The DBT, Terry, and Maxine blinks to see her sigh.

"Ummmm...No? I mean, I been busy doing something at the time. I didn't expect anything like that to happen!" Terry said but Barbara sighed.

"If you don't believe me...then look at this." She said seeing one officer walk over with a huge stack of complaints and reports and it was thick! The officer slams it on the desk that it shook startling the group.

"This!" she said hitting the folder, "Is all the reports, work, cases, and other things regarding one thing: THAT SWORD! You can take a look through if you need to." she said as Hellmare did that to open the file and look. She begins showing pictures of destroyed shops, buildings, some streets, even a tower!?"

"Hmmmm...these looks like the same areas we did mission while staying here for a few months to help out." she said camly while Fosh and Maxine looks seeing the damage.

"How the hell!?" Maxine was shocked as Fosh had a deadpanned expression seeing the damaging areas.

"Geez! Not again!" he said but Barbara blinks.

"Wait, again!? this has happened before!" she said.

"Well...yes but not here! It's...How can I explain this? You see, Ink's sword is well....he has a mind of his own and he tends to be a bit.....destructive. He did the same back home, in japan, toyko, yokohoma, and-"

"Now here." she said to look at Navarro who rubs the back of his head.

"And your telling me that Miss Van ink's sword is a living being of it's own that so happens to do all this. How do I know it's not Ink that caused this!?" she said.

"Well, it's not just that! It only happens when Ink tries to summon him!" Maggie said but Barbara was silent.

"........"

"Again, hard to explain." she mutters that the chief pinches the bridge of her nose to try taking this all in before looking at them.

"Uh huh, so this great sword has done all this just by her summoning it or having a mind of it's own. Are you sure about that?" she said.

"Yes!" The DBT said but Barbara sighed.

"So you expect me to believe that her sword did this? The destructive of the buildings, chaos, bad guys running away like girls over a sword?! And now your telling me it is alive!" she said.

"But he is! Look, I can prove it!" Ink said.

"You can't be serious miss van ink." she said.

"No no! It's true just watch!"

"iNK WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Navarro said trying to stop her but it was too late.

"WYVERN!" she calls out loud for him to hear as Barbara blinks seeing this and the same for Terry and Maxine. The DBT sweatdrops in silence but Ink opens her eyes to look.

"Oh come on! WYVERN!........WYVERN!..." she shook her had but growls to go to the window and open it. "WYVERN, YOU GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!! STOP BEING A DUMB BUTT!!" she shouted comically.

'God dang it Ink..' Sai thought shaking his head with a face palm that Terry sweat drops not getting this.

"Does...does she always call her sword like this?" he asked.

"Yeahhhhhhhh......we will explain later." Rust said rubbing the back of his head seeing Ink still calling out for the sword. Barbara sighed waiting to stop.

"Okay, I think I've seen enough. You guys will have to let us take her in. If she did this, she caused a lot of property damage." she said.

"Wait, I'm sure we can talk about this!" Opheila said worried seeing the cops about to arrest Ink until....something loud was heard like something smashing and breaking from outside.

"Huh?"

Everyone looks to see something coming and heading right towards the building. "Uhhhh guys?" Maxine said seeing something sending smoke up to the sky and people shouting and moving.

"IT'S THE DEMON SWORD AGAIN! RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

"PLEASE SPARE US MONSTER SWORD! WHAT DID WE DO THIS TIME!!"

"I JUST GOT THIS DAMN WALL FIXED! CURSE YOU DAMN FUCKING SWORD!"

A few people was shouting from the city but everyone looks to the window before seeing something shot past in a loud boom! Wyvern was flying at high speed to the call of it's owner destroying everything in front or breaking it.

"What...is that?!" one cop said.

"It's a sword....and.." the second one said before everyone begins to move.

"It's coming towards the building! EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE WAY!! MOVE MOVE MOVE!" The cops shouted to see it smash through the building causing a large hole as the DBT's eyes widen seeing that.

"WYVERN! NO DON'T DO THAT!-" ink winces hearing more smashing and cars exploding now from the garage down below. Everyone was shocked even Barbara was.

'A sword..wait, they were telling the truth!? What the hell!?' she said in her mind but hearing more police cars being cut or blowing up as she heard cops screaming and ducking as the sword was smashing through.

"RUN AWAY!! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!" Some scream or some duck from the blade to see it going up and breaking through the ceiling heading towards Barbara's office. The whole building shook but before Barbara can ask, a loud smash was heard seeing her desk breaking in half and shredding the document as pieces of paper was flying everywhere.

Wyvern showed up in all his glory. "Dang it Wyvern! I don't get why you do that! Get down here!" she reaches for him only to see him fly towards Ink quickly and smack her in the forehead. "OW!"

"I........." everyone looks to see her arguing with the sword with a swollen lump on her forehead.

"........"

"Her sword is very violent.....that's a lot of damage." Terry said. "Are you guys sure it's not some sword a gang cursed?" he asked but when Sai tries to explain, Wyvern heard that and quickly goes to hit Terry right in the face through a wall.

"TERRY!" Sai and Maxine rushes to see him but saw him knocked out with stars over his head and swirly eyes. He groans but at least he was not dead. "Owwwwwwwwwww......"

"......."

"....O..Okay....I believe you." Barbara said in shock but Fosh sweatdrops.

"I...we will pay for the damages for this. We are soooo sorry ma'am." he said.

"...........You know what? I....I'm at a lost of words here....I...." she held her head to sigh. "I'm getting too old for this." she sweatdrops as Sai tries to wake terry.

"I'M SORRY SAI!! I REALLY REALLY AM SORRY! I DIDN'T KNOW WYVERN WAS GOING TO ATTACK HIM LIKE THAT!" Ink cries worried but Shdwkyz said nothing.

"We really need to be sure you keep him with you at all times...though I don't think he will stop even if we tried anything." Maggie said with the DBT agreeing. However, Sai was quiet to only sigh.

"Ink.."

"Uhhhhh..y...yeah?" she said but Shdwkyz turns ready to bonk her on the head. Yeah..he was a bit upset.

"Uh oh..."

"........."

"N..Now Sai, come on! I'm sorry! I can fix this!" she said backing up with a sweatdrop.

"I'm sure you can...but I just want to talk first." he said but Ink knew better.

"Ummmmm...right but before you do...I have one thing to say." she said but when she takes a breath to speak, she quickly turns to run out the office.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE INK!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I'M SORRY!! WYVERN IS SORRY!!" she screams running from the phantom slasher.

"WE TOLD YOU TO KEEP THE SWORD WITH YOU! HOW LONG AS THIS BEEN GOING ON!?"

"AGAIN, I CAN'T HELP IT! WYVERN DOES THIS AND I CAN'T STOP HIM FROM DOING THAT! DX"

"THAT'S NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM!!!" he said.

The DBT, Barbara, and Maxine was seeing this but Fosh shook his head to look and sigh. He got right to work on sending money to pay for the damages within Neo Gotham. Though, he asked.

"Second, how badly are we talking of damages?" he asked but Barbara held a total of damages. When he saw it his eyes widen.

"HOW MUCH!?" he screamed only to fall back and pass out. Yeah, it was a lot. "Fosh!? Hey wake up!" Maggie said as he twitched but Maxine sweatdrops.

'Well...this turned out to be one crazy start of the night.' Max said as the chaos was unfolding. Though, at least Neo Gotham got to meet the demon greatsword of Van ink. Sorta.

maybe 15. There It Is Again, That Funny Feeling? It's more of a hopeful ending, but considering the context of the story entirely, it's pretty sad.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? every single fic in the series All's Fair in Love and Potatoes. this series is my happy place amongst all the death and despair on my account

15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? i have this wip that's like, peter agrees to go undercover for a mission because they need info from some big bad guy and peter is obviously the least recognizable of the bunch, but he gets kidnapped and all that good stuff. idk if i'll ever get around to finish it, because it's like 9 planned chapters and that is SO ambitious for me.

16. what are your writing strengths? ooooo i think i'm good at realistic dialogue and character dynamics—i have spent hours of my life on fandomwiki looking at different character's quotes and watching videos of their interaction with other characters because that's something so important to me.

i think i'm good at balancing angst and humor too?? idk the walking dead really shaped my writing style because u can have a silly scene and then 2 seconds later someone is dead on the floor. hope to carry that vibe through everything i do.

17. what are your writing weaknesses? i am so bad at describing settings and character actions. i can always see the scene in my mind but on paper it turns into they are at a house. peter sits down in the chair, and is sad. and it gets to a point where i just give up on trying to fix it

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language? ough if i ever write dialogue in another language i'll be consulting someone who speaks said language (which is what i actually have done!!!! i have a fic coming out soon w a spanish title and i asked aster-argent for help:)). or doing the thing people do where they just put the text in italics and write ," he said in spanish or some shit.

idk for the most part i stay away from it (ignoring the throwaway, casada harley joke i make in my parkner series) because at the end of the day i am a white girl who learned how to count to 10 in spanish because of dora and took 3 years of german.

19. first fandom you wrote in? ok so. i was 11 and on quotev, writing a chatfic about the bands twenty one pilots, panic at the disco, my chemical romance, and fall out boy. the fic is still up and it makes me nauseous to think about

i think technically i had an ldshadowlady fic out on wattpad before that but it was a blatant ripoff of another fic so. i don't count it

20. favorite fic you've written? i think this answer changes every day, and will change when i get my next group of fics out, but as of right now—

i'll put down my roots when i'm dead i'm just so proud of it idk. first time i've ever really met a deadline and probably the most passionate i'd been about getting a fic out since r&r began? i just love the whole thing.

Is Close the Closest Star? this one is definitely a tie with the several other angst oneshots i put out around the same time, but idk something about this fic is so special to me. it's like 6 months old and i know my writing's improved since then, but i'll always go back and reread

okok last one sorry ur making me pick my favorite child. Unrotting Your Insides, Unrooting Your Limbs i am such a sucker for recovery fics sorry. i've written several fics about bulimia but this is my fav because it's just. so soft.

BAS - Genre & Log lines [26.2.24]

Hello folks, as you know I'm starting my Bachelor of Screen Arts this week, and I thought because I love to learn and share that knowledge, it would be fun to share some of what I'm learning :)

Today, we learned about genre & log lines, which, might not sound interesting or pretty basic at first. But there's surprisingly a lot of cool stuff here & EXAMPLES! :D

Genre is a style or category of film, art, music & literature with a defined set of characteristics that allows examples to be grouped by others.

For video games, the same goes, except genre also includes how the player interacts with the game. E.g. RPG or FPS.

What's interesting, is that genre changes over time. An action movie today, won't be the same as an action movie from 30 years ago. It's how they evolve, change and develop which keeps them new and interesting. What elements are repeated is what keeps audiences feeling safe with something they'll like, and what elements are different (whether it's abiding by or subverting standard conventions), is what keeps in interesting, so the audience doesn't get bored by the same carbon-copy films.

Log line are a summary of a story's essential ingredients in a way which isn't bogged down with details, but is able to capture the listener's interest.

E.g. 'A plucky hen struggles to escape a cruel farmer. When a rooster from the circus arrives, a crack team assemble - Can they get out before the chicken pies get cooked?'

I thought this was really cool. I've tried to do this in the past, and mine always sound washy and long.

So for fun (& practice), I wrote the log line for Lost Children of the CCC:

'A reformed criminal with the power to reverse time is unable to save his friends from a notorious clan of criminals. Desperate to change their fates, he rewrites reality, unknowingly unearthing a dark secret of the past. Can him and his friends survive? Or will they be the next victims of Project Harmonious?'

That sounds SO COOL! Like, this is what I currently have on A03 for the same story:

'It was meant to be the perfect ending, It was meant to be a happy ending with his closest friends Charles & Ellie, It was meant to be HIS happy ending... ... and then the Toppat's happened. But not this time. Henry Stickmin is getting his happy ending, no matter the consequences.'

My current version, it sounds cool like an awesome blurb, but it's very cryptic and unclear. It gives us character names and tells us that someone or thing, called the 'Toppats' ruined this guys happy ending, and he's out for revenge. But that's it. It just tells us a revenge story.

The log line on the other hand is very clearly and easily presents the main character, the stakes, and enough of the plot that you know what happened, and a little bit of how.

The log line clearly has elements of an action/thriller (Ex- criminal vs criminal clan & hints of survival or death), sci-fi (time travel) and mystery ('dark secrets of the past').

All things which are exactly what this story is: An action mystery thriller, with aspects of sci-fi & fantasy. (I know, fantasy isn't technically in there, but the time travel is a part of a magic system in my world, not the sci-fi part (the sci-fi refers to Project Harmonious), so, fantasy.)
