#Thinking about it I believe Atsushi is probably going to be way more flustered by sex related talks‚ while Akutagawa is perfectly unfazed

I really want Atsushi to be one to occasionally swear because I feel like it fits him, but realistically speaking… If we were to compare, Akutagawa is definitely the crass one between the two. I mean, he grew up in the streets, while Atsushi was very much raised in a repressive, conservative orphanage, so…
Not to mention Akutagawa is also more or less canonically friend with Chuuya. Who, knowing Akutagawa, might as well be the only person he's close to besides family. So…

Relationship Headcanons
Fandom: BSD -Bungo Stray Dogs
TW: none? I think?
DAZAI
I said it in my Soukoku fic, Dazai wouldn’t know affection if it slapped him in the face ten times
Like he might realize when someone is showing interest in a sexual kind
And he would probably notice if someone is crushing on him
But like, if he likes them back?
No
Man is blind
He’s too busy panicking over read denying his own thoughts and feelings over you to analyze your actions
He’s busy trying to think of anything but how pretty you are when he sees you -thank you very much
No joke though, this can be applied to pretty much anyone he cares about
I mean he practically had a heart attack when Atsushi gave him flowers
Anyways if he finally admits to himself that he likes you then I could see him trying to push you away if I’m being brutally honest
He doesn’t want to lose you and he believes that anything he wants that he obtains, will be striped from him sooner or later
But…, in a perfect world he would eventually work up the courage to ask you out
He would probably avoid directly asking you but this is Dazai so he could defiantly figure out some round-about way to ask
As for the relationship?
He would still be his teasing self
But he would tone it down
Not because he doesn’t want to annoy you but more so because he actually lets some of his masks down when alone with you
He defiantly is very clingy to you
Man has been touch starved for a long time and he fears attachment too much to be touchy with the ADA members
But now he has you, who not only tolerates him but has decided to stay with him?
Of course he’s not going to let this chance slip from his grasp before all this inevitably ends (he’s still in denial)
He never cared much for holidays like Christmas or Valentines
But now he wants to experience them, with you
He’s always thinking, plans and outcomes racing through his mind, what ifs and regrets
But like, if you ruffle his hair, his brain just stops.
Like no thoughts, he short circuits
When his brain returned to him the first time it happened he panicked
Like, who gave you that amount of control?
After that first time he continued to try and get you to do it without asking
He needed his brain to shut up every now and then, and now he has a reliable source
Anyways, he likes to be a spoiled princess
No one can change my mind
For all his predictions he will never be able to predict your love and kindness for him
CHUUYA
Someone give this poor man a hug
Ugh, my heart
I can‘t imagine him wanting to date a normal citizen, too much of a risk
So you’d probably have to work in the Mafia
Even then, dating you would still be placing a huge target on you
He would actually take you out on dates before asking you out
Dates with him would be romantic
Like dinner by candle light vibes
He’d be strategic on where you guys sit
No need to be precarious on what you order, it’s all on him
When he does ask you out he would be slightly flustered but it just makes him adorable
Say yes, he doesn’t deserve to be hurt any more
He would spoil you to no end
If you want it, you can have it
You’re the only one allowed to call him short
He might get flustered from PDA in the start but will gradually warm up to it
Nothing clingy, just hand holding, a hand around your waist, a quick kiss here or there
But if he sees some guy hitting on you?
Down right possessive, arm snug around your waist, shoulder to shoulder
And if he’s drunk? Even worse
Like he’s pulling you onto his lap just to make sure that asshole knows your taken
If you do work in the mafia with him, he likes going on easier missions with you
And while he knows that you can handle yourself just fine, he can’t help but imagine something bad happening to you when he isn’t there to save you
He’s lost too many people in his life, please, don’t leave him as well
He loves when you rest your head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat
And while you do that he’ll run his fingers through your hair
Chuuya loves to spoil you rotten as I stated, it’s his love language
So sometimes he’ll just hand you his black card and let you go shopping with friends or something
In fact, he encourages you to buy what you want
FYODOR
Honestly? Where do I start with him?
Like congratulations if you meet him and make it out alive
I don’t know if I should congratulate him taking an interest in you though
I feel like he believe that the interest he had in you was purely innocent curiosity
But I also don’t think he would try to delude himself for as long as Dazai does
Eventually he would notice that something was different about his interest for you than usual
And while he would hesitate to put a name to it so quickly he would eventually give in after realizing there was no stoping this feeling from festering in him
After coming to terms with his romantic? Feelings and interest in you he would definitely begin to manipulate you into feeling the same way for him
If you don’t already that is
If you don’t confess then he’ll definitely do the same thing Dazai did
And when you agree, he of course knew you would, he makes you move in with him
He can’t let his dearest other slip from his finger now can he?
I feel like before ever getting into a relationship, you would have been made aware of his ‘work’
Please, make sure the man eats
And takes his iron pill
Nikolai is getting a little tired of that daily routine despite how much he loves to be around Fyodor
Anyways, dates aren’t a very common thing in fact, very, very rare
I mean… what did you expect?
Man’s a literal terrorist
That being said, from time to time he’ll leave his ‘lair’ to spend time with you
If you ask, he’ll gladly play the cello for you
If he snaps at you for ‘bothering him with pointless things’ when you bring him his iron pill or food just listen
Don’t bother him with such things
And then same thing the next day
And after some 4 or 5 days he’ll stumble from his room
Staggering as he tries not to collapse or faint from both his lack of energy and his iron deficiency
And when he walks into the kitchen trying to get the iron pill bottle open?
Let him stumble his way over to you and ask for help before you finally do as such
And he realizes just how dependent on you he’s become
It’ll happen again eventually
But as of that moment, it’ll at least be awhile before the cycle repeats
(That last part of Fyodor’s was based upon some fanfic I read for him. I'm not sure who it was by, but I’ll tag it if and when I do find it.)
A/N: anyways, believe it or not, I love Chuuya just as much as I do Fyodor and Dazai
I’m just not as confident in his character. Since I’m a lot like Dazai, he comes easy to me and by substitute, Fyodor does as well
But Chuuya? Despite him being one of my 5 favorites along with Dazai and Fyodor, I just don’t resonate personally enough with him to write him really well

Hey sorry if you don’t take requests like this but could you write something about Dazai with a fem s/o or crush who keeps saying she hates herself and has very low self esteem like Atsushi and panic attacks sometimes? Again sorry if you don’t take these! If it’s uncomfortable for you it’s okay to not do it!!!
Hey, this is my first time writing something like this, but it's perfectly fine! There's always a first time for everything. Sorry this took so long.. it was slightly triggering, ngl, but I managed, so all's good :D
I kinda made it relevant to my own self.... I didn't know any other way to write this....
Love, know that you are more than enough, and that you deserve love, support and happiness!
Let Me Teach You, What Love Feels Like
Dazai x f!reader
Tw: panic attack, self doubt, self hate
You sat at your desk, trying to come up with something to write. You weren't exactly a writer, just someone who always liked to read and sometimes write. You were a student, but recently you had started your own blog, and turns out, people actually liked your work.
But you couldn't accept the fact that they liked it because you were a 'good writer'. You never doubted your followers, or their tastes, but you just weren't sure if you were actually good enough, or if they were just being kind to you, out of their goodness.
Thoughts like these always flooded your mind whenever you sat to write. Whenever you get any requests, you go over them a million times before posting anything, wanting it all to be perfect for your followers.
But you still thought that you could do better.
You stared at your phone screen, reading and re-reading the request that was sent to you.
You had an idea in your mind, but what if the person who sent this, wouldn't like it? What if they aren't satisfied with what you wrote? What if your effort isn't enough? What if they hate it? What if-
Your thoughts were interrupted by two arms draping themselves around your shoulders.
You jolted out of your spiraling thoughts, and let out a silent gasp.
Tufts of brown tickled your cheeks, as a chin placed itself on your head.
"Hey beautiful", a melodic voice spoke.
"Dazai! You scared the shit out of me!"
You wiggled out of his grasp, turning around to scowl at his handsome face.
He chuckled, booping your nose with his own.
"You look so cute when you're flustered, I can't help but pull such tricks on you ;)"
His cute smirk and light hazelnut orbs filled you with happiness. You loved him so much. He was a dork sometimes, but, alas, he was your dork.
"What are doing, love?", he asks, peering over your head to observe the blank page of your book, and the text on your phone.
"Just writing...", you say,"or atleast, I'm attempting to.."
Your far away look, and the doubt in your eyes instantly told him what you were going through. You were a lot like a certain subordinate of his, and it both pained and hurt him.
You always looked down at yourself. You never gave yourself enough credit. If something that you worked for was successful, you would give credit to the luck, or some stupid coincidence, or anybody else who had merely lent a helping hand. And when it didn't work out, you blamed yourself, calling yourself weak and inefficient. You would easily take the fall for all the misfortunes, and never pat your back for all the good you do. It frustrated him to no end. What should he do to make you realize that you're perfect the way you are? How can he convince you that you are more than enough, and that you are such an important and worthy person in not only his life, but everybody around you? You are capable of bringing a smile to everyone's faces, and your mere presence makes their day. How do you not see that?
When you wake up and look in the mirror, all you see are made up imperfections.
He remembers when you were staring at the mirror one morning, and he had asked you teasingly, "Are you checking yourself out?"
You had merely shaken your head, and replied with a,"There's nothing to check out..."
Before he could say something, you had begun talking.
"I'm not beautiful, Dazai. Look at me. My curves aren't quite right. At some places, they are non existent and at others, they're way too bulging. I'm not pretty, either. My eyes are way too huge, and my nose is slightly crooked. My hair isn't silky, and my height isn't ideal. I'm.... nothing of value..."
You turned to face him, with tears in your eyes.
"I... I don't know why you stay... You can do so much bett-"
He had cut you mid way with a kiss.
"You are the most beautiful person on the planet, Y/N."
You looked away, mumbling, "You just say that for the sake of it... You don't have to, you know..."
He cupped your cheek, looking you in the eyes.
"When you smile, my entire world lights up. That's because you are my world. Your curves are perfect. Your eyes aren't too huge, infact, they're the prettiest pair I have ever seen. The way they shine, and hold so much kindness, beauty and love; they make me fall for you over and over again. Your smile, and your gurgling laughter gives me a reason to live. You are my reason, Y/N. You are perfect."
You blushed. You wanted to believe him; the genuine look in his eyes, the soft smile on his lovely lips, and the gentle tone of his voice; it all made you want to believe him. But you couldn't bring yourself to do so. You couldn't give yourself any credit, and couldn't see the perfect, amazing parts of you that he saw. And he knew that. He could read it on your face. You were flustered by his words; he could see that. But he also saw the doubt. He saw the hesitance on your face.
So he did what he thought was best. He made love to you. He very passionately explained to you, all the best parts of you. He kissed every bit of skin, telling you just how much he adores every inch of you.
It did wonders to your confidence, too.
Now, instead of thinking that everybody hates you, you knew that atleast one person doesn't fully despise you, and that person was Dazai. Although it didn't quite work the way he wanted it to work, it still did something.
So he kept going, proving to you at every opportunity that you were perfect, and deserve all the love in this world.
Right now, staring at your doubtful eyes, he saw just how skeptical you were about your writing abilities.
He was going to change that.
"Say, Y/N, do you want a break?"
You tilt your head in consideration.
"I haven't even written a word yet..."
He smiled, saying,"Maybe your mind needs a refresher. Something to help unclog your thoughts."
He tugged on your wrist, beckoning you to follow him.
"Where are we going?"
He threw on his coat, helping you into yours.
"You'll see", he said, giving you a wink.
Walking down the lanes of Yokohama was one of your favorite pastimes.
Observing the people, the diverse culture and the beauty of the city filled you with content.
He took you to have your favorite ice-cream. The rich flavour and the way it melted on your tongue always made you feel happy.
"This is so yummy!!", you squealed, licking it.
Dazai chuckled ruffling your hair.
"Don't do that! It completely spoiles my look!", you say, trying to fix your hair.
"I love you so much..", he says, voice completely serious, his face adorning a charming but genuine smile.
You blush at the sincerity of his words, and smile.
Your little moment was interrupted by a furry ball running past your legs. The cat looked injured.
"Hey, hold onto this for a moment. I'll go check if that cat is hurt.", you say, handing your cone to Dazai.
He nods, as you begin running after it. He doesn't know why you care so much, but it's probably because of your big heart. Sighing, he begins walking in your direction slowly.
You try to catch up to the animal, turning a corner, and in the process, bumping into a small boy.
The ice-cream in his hands drops to the ground.
He looks at you, devastated and sad, and begins bawling his eyes out.
You try to apologize to him, promising to buy him a new one, but he just wouldn't stop crying. The loud noise of his cries and the exertion caused due to running made your breaths uneven. You tried to push it away, but you could feel your head pulsating with pain. A high pitched tone filled your ears. You tried to block the sound to get some relief, but to no avail. The intensity of the sound, the headache and the boys teary face made you drop to ground, and curl up against the wall.
'You are so useless. Whenever you try to help someone, you only end up ruining it. You always ruin things. Nothing you do is valuable. You cause so much pain to everyone around you. You can never make anyone happy. You are the cause of everybody's sadness. You are a disappointment. Pathetic, useless person.. Why are you even alive?'
Your thoughts were swallowing you. They were pulling you into a deep, dark hole, one that was draining your life out of you. You couldn't stop the shaking of your palms, your whole body trembled.
You didn't realize when the commotion stopped, or when or how the boy left the area, but you could hear a voice, a familiar voice, and you tried to hold onto it. You tried with your best efforts to clutch onto the one ray of light in the dark hole you were in. You used all your might and focused on those words. Slowly, you could make sense of them.
"Take deep breaths, Y/N. I'm here. Don't worry. Just focus on your breathing."
You did that. You tried to hear your own breaths.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You were slowly crawling out of there, tuning out the thoughts that were trying to pull you in.
"Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in..."
You followed the voice, and felt the angry thoughts fade away.
Once you were almost in control of your mind, you tried to open your eyes, only a little bit. Through the tiny aperture, you saw soft brown orbs staring back at you. Dazai smiled at you, hesitantly raising his hand near your face. Silently asking for permission to touch you. You nuzzle your face in his palm. He slowly pulls you into a hug. Kissing your forehead, he picks you up, and begins walking home.
You snuggled against him, hiding your face in his chest, and closing your eyes.
He just wanted you to have a good time. He had messed up. But it's alright. As long as he was with you, he would help you get out of your spiraling thoughts. He would always be by your side. He would protect you, even if it meant from your own mind.
On reaching back home, he helped you change into comfortable clothes, and laid you on the bed, wrapping the comforter around your body to keep you warm. He made some soup and rice for you. He brought you a tall glass of water, too. He took complete care of you. He fed you the food, cooing you to have as much as possible. You needed the strength. You soon fell into a deep slumber, with his arms wrapped securely around your petite form.
Dazai held you close, and slowly rocked you. He observed your sleeping form, and felt so frustrated. He wanted to help you out of this, and he was trying his best to do so. He was taking small, baby steps, and they were working, too. But it was all too slow. He didn't want you to experience one more second of this. He wants you to never go through that again. But he knows that things like this take time. He's willing to sacrifice everything for you. He loves you, and will always love you, no matter what. He will not stop until you are free of the dark thoughts that plague your mind, and will, at every step, assure you that you deserve all the happiness and live in this world.
Because you matter to him. You mean the world to him. So he will hold you close, kiss your lips, and wipe your tears until you break free. He will walk through fire for you.
He looks down at your face, the way your eyes fluttered every now and then, and the way your rosy, delicate lips were slightly parted, the way a strand of your hair fell onto your face, and the way you looked so innocent and protected in his arms; it all made him love you even more.
He made a promise to you.
"I will always be there for you, my little lady. I will always love you, and will teach you to love yourself."
He kissed your forehead.
"I love you, my princess."
Sorry if this wasn't what you wanted! I tried my best...But do request again, if it isn't satisfactory!

Hi! I hope you're having a nice day. I don't know if you still take requests or not but if you are, then can you do a part 2 for the head canons of Midorima, Kiss and Aomine assuming that their so is in third year but with the rest of the GOM, Kuroko, and Kagami?
Sorry it took so long to get to this request!! I hope you enjoy! xx
Headcanons: Kuroko, Kagami, Murasakibara and Akashi with an s/o that they thought was older
Kuroko
He’s a generally very observant person, but you acted so much older that his intuition convinced him that you were a third year at least
He absolutely adored how independent and mature you were as well
So when you two began dating, he didn’t really question your age
Furthermore, he’s a very polite boy so he knew that asking for your age would seem rude
The two of you went to different schools so that’s why it took him some time to figure out that you were a first year like he was
Your school was right next to Seirin so he’d often come pick you up afterwards so you could walk home together
One day, you were in a bit of a frenzy because you realised that you’d left an important notebook in your classroom
So Kuroko offered to hold your things for you while he waited outside
While he was waiting, he spotted your student ID card hanging from your bag
Curious to see a cute picture of you, he pulled it closer to him
Of course, you looked as beautiful as ever to him
But what really caught his eye was the detail about your class
“I’m back,” you panted after having jogged all the way back because you didn’t want to keep him waiting
“Oh Y/N, did you get your book?” he asked you and you nodded, waving it in the air for him to see
He handed you your things back and the two of you began to walk
“I didn’t know you were a first year, Y/N,” he said, his usually expressionless face showing a tint of confusion and surprise
“You didn’t? What did you think I was?” you questioned
“I thought you were a third year,” he said simply
“You did? Do I really look that old to you?” you asked, pretending to sound hurt even though you really didn’t care
“No no, it’s just, you’re just very independent and cool, I thought you’d be older,” he said quickly
“Well I’m flattered. Unless you’re disappointed now? Are you not interested anymore because I’m your age?”
Kuroko took your hand in his and gave it a tight squeeze, “Don’t be silly. I like you for you, not your age.”
As cheesy as it was, you felt your heart melt
It was weird how he always knew exactly what to say
You didn’t really bring it up after that because the relationship was fairly new and you were still learning more about each other
It didn’t change the fact that you definitely acted older than he was at times
And it often led to it slipping his mind every now and then
Kagami
He has like one working braincell so it’s a miracle that he realised at all
The two of you went to the same school, but you were in different classes so since he didn’t see you around much, he assumed you were older
He’d often see you around the school courtyard during recess and he thought you were quite hot
It took him a bit of time, but he finally mustered the courage to ask you out
The only thing he knew about you was your name because Kuroko told him
So he walked up to you when you were wandering around alone
Despite looking quite confident, he was incredibly nervous on the inside
“Hey, you’re Y/N right?” he asked
“Yeah, I am. Um, aren’t you Kagami, from the basketball team?” you said, knowing full well who he was because you’d gone to a few of the games and found him incredibly attractive
“Yep, Kagami Taiga,” he nodded affirmatively, “I was wondering whether you’d like to hang out with me some time.”
He wasn’t really expecting you to say yes to be honest, as he thought about why a third year would want to go out with a younger boy
“Like a date?” you asked, your straightforwardness only convincing Kagami that you were older even more
“Uh y-yeah,” he said, beginning to get a bit flustered because he was expecting you to just laugh in his face
“Sure, that sounds fun,” you nodded, acting cool on the outside though you were fangirling on the inside
“Wait really?” he said, eyes widening as he realised that you’d actually agreed
You laughed and nodded, before exchanging numbers
The two of you ended up dating for some time after that, all while Kagami still believed that you were older than he was
Sure he’d walk you to and from school, but you usually waited for him outside the gate so he never found out what class you were in
He didn’t even ask because he was just so excited to be dating someone older
Plus he found you so hot that any relatively coherent thought would be thrown out the window whenever you were together
A few weeks into dating you, the two of you had already gotten pretty intimate, and you seemed so experienced with everything you did
It was hard for him to keep his hands off of you
He’d also be really proud about dating you that he’d tell almost everyone he knew
One day, you had a project and you needed to carry a lot of stuff to your classroom
So being the gentleman he is, he offered to carry it for you
You began heading towards your classroom which was a few rooms down the hall from his one, but he just stopped and looked at you with a confused expression
“Y/N, where are you going? Aren’t the third year classrooms in the floor above?” he asked you
“Yeah, but my class is here,” you said, pointing at your first year classroom
“You’re a first year?” he asked, jaw nearly dropping to the floor
“Yeah, what did you think? We’re the same age,” you said, still trying to make sense of what he was getting at
“Oh god,” he said, his cheeks turning as red as his hair, “I thought you were a third year,” he mumbled
You began to laugh at the sound of those words, “A third year? Why would you think that?”
“I don’t know... you just seemed more mature and sexy,” he said, mumbling that last word as his eyes became fixated on the ground
“Taiga, we’ve literally studied together, how did you not realise we were in the same year?”
“I don’t know! I thought you were just helping me!” he groaned, wanting to die of embarrassment at this point. “Can we please move on?”
You agreed to move on at that moment, but you kept bringing it up for the rest of the day and he just learned to take it
When he brought it up to Kuroko, he just stared at Kagami with disappointment
“Kagami-kun, you dated her for almost a month, how did you not know?”
“Just shut up.”
Murasakibara
He met you at this cafe that he liked to frequent
You worked there part time so you were very familiar with him (how could anyone really forget the 2 metre tall, purple-haired boy that orders an ungodly amount of pastries every time)
He never really thinks about other people, but since he saw you quite often he began to wonder what you were like
He thought that you were very hot— like very hot
So he naturally began to assume that you were older
“There’s no way someone my age could be that hot”
He was quite nervous when he finally decided to ask you out one day because if you said no, he’d probably have to find a new cafe to go to to avoid the awkwardness
And he really liked his cafe
After a few stutters and nervous laughter, you’d agreed to go on a date with him and he was elated
The fact that he thought you were older didn’t really have an effect on how he behaved around you
Sure, he was nervous at first because he wanted to impress you
But as time went on, like most of Murasakibara’s other peers, you ended up having to care for him a lot
Which only drove him to believe that you were older even more
Plus the way your lips moved whenever he kissed you seemed so experienced
However, he did question why someone as mature as you were would entertain his childish antics, but he didn’t think too much of it
And to be honest, he wouldn’t have ever found out that you were the same age as he was until he was zoning in and out of a conversation between you and Himuro
For some reason, Himuro was aware of your actual age so he was just normally talking about the differences between the syllabus in your school and Yosen
“Oh I don’t think we’ve gotten to that chapter yet,” you said when he was complaining about the difficulty of a particular topic
“Huh? Shouldn’t you have finished it two years ago?” Murasakibara chimed in
“What? Why would I have done that?” you asked as a confused expression overtook yours and Himuro’s faces
“Because it’s a first year topic, isn’t it?” Murasakibara said, popping a potato chip into his mouth
“Yeah... and I’m still in first year,” you said slowly, failing to understand why he’d say something like that
He nearly choked on his potato chip
“You’re in first year?” He said, surprise filled in his usually unbothered tone
“Yeah, why do you sound so surprised?” you replied
“I thought you were a third year,” he said, bewildered as he turned to Himuro, “Muro-chin, did you know this?”
“Yeah I did. Haven’t you been dating her for like, three months now?” Himuro questioned as you brought a palm to your face in disbelief
“It’s been four months actually, Atsushi,” you sighed, “why’d you think I was a third year? Do I look that much older?”
“You’re just too hot to be a first year okay,” he groaned, munching on his chips in frustration
“Aw really?” you smiled, looking up at his flushed face
“Yeah,” he murmured
“In that case, I’ll let it slide,” you said sweetly as you placed a kiss on his cheek, making a small smile appear on his lips
However, Himuro didn’t miss the opportunity to bring it up to annoy him every now and then
Akashi
He’s such a smartass that I feel like it’s nearly impossible that he wouldn’t know that you’re not a third year upon meeting you
However, when he met you, there was a brief moment where he thought that you were older
His team was playing a practice match against your school and you were the team manager
The way you carried yourself and the way that you seemed rather mature compared to the people around you, led him to consider the possibility that you were older than he was
Unlike everyone else, he’d probably figure out your actual age upon first meeting you
Once the match was over, he spotted you with your hands full of dirty towels so he decided to help because he’s a gentleman like that
“Hey, let me get some of that for you,” he said, taking half the pile into his arms
You gave him a grateful smile, surprised that he was helping you when no one from your own team offered to help
“Thank you, um, Akashi Seijuro, right?” you said, even though you were sure that it was his name
“Yes, you can call me Sei, if you like.”
Talk about straightforward geez
“Nice to meet you Sei,” you said, feeling slightly odd referring to someone so intimidating with such a casual name, “I’m Y/N.”
“Nice to meet you too, Y/N,” he smiled, dumping the towels in the same basket you did. “So, how long have you been managing?”
“Just a few months, I’m still a first year after all,” you replied
He was a bit surprised, because he found you much more attractive than other girls your age
Furthermore, you had this sultry, independent reeled him in and made him think that you were older
He didn’t show any of this surprise on his face though
In fact, he looked like he never even had a doubt in the first place
And to be honest, with his ego, he’d never admit that he was wrong anyways
The two of you continued chatting for a few more minutes until Akashi was called by his coach to leave
Of course, there was no way he was leaving without getting your number and asking you out first
So the two of you eventually ended up dating
And whilst he was aware that you were the same age as he was for the most part, sometimes it would slip his mind
Especially when things got heated between you two, he would sometimes pretend like you were older— because you certainly looked and moved around like you were

Note
I'm not sure if you write for AUs, but a reader in the same high school as the BSD characters would be fun! Maybe some S/O headcanons for Aku, Atsu, Dazai and Chuuya?
[This was so much fun to write :D]
Highschool AU
Akutagawa Ryuunosuke:
Tumblr media
Theatre kid, but also the dark and mysterious loner.
He acts like he doesn’t care much about anything, least of all academics, but he actually works quite hard.
Repeatedly gets into trouble with authority, but since he’s fairly gifted at nearly everything, they let it slide
Refuses to believe that, though, because he holds himself to stupidly high standards. What’s the point of just being good at something? He has to be the best.
If you’re interested in him, you’re going to have to be the one to broach the subject, because there’s no way in hell he’d ever do it, even if he reciprocates.
When him and his s/o first start dating, people give them weird looks in the hallways. The resident mysterious loner? In a relationship? It’s the talk everywhere for quite a while.
You would have to walk him a little through the motions of being in a relationship. Suggest date ideas, drag him to a movie, stay up late texting him, and wouldn’t be long before he picks up and starts reciprocating these gestures.
He’s a little clueless, but he means well, please be patient with my dark floofy babey
He’s too intimidating for anyone else to approach him, anyway, but even so, he treats his s/o like they’re the only person that matters in the world.
Atsushi Nakajima:
Tumblr media
Probably the most normal of them all xD
Teachers adore him, classmates look up to him, and his friends love him beyond measure. He’s just so sweet that you can’t help but like him.
Very helpful. Will agree to crash tutor you the night before exam if you ask him to.
Probably on the track team too.
His friends mean a lot to him, and he’s very amicable to everyone in general. The kind of person to invite you to his cafeteria table if he sees you sitting alone.
Gifted at athletics as well as academics, but gets flustered and politely denies if somebody praises him for it.
It’s not effortless, though. He works very hard for everything he has achieved.
Will crush on you from afar for months on end before his friends finally get fed up and physically push him to you.
“E-eh? I’m sorry, I d-didn’t mean to bump into you like that. I just…I wanted…uhhh wouldyouliketoogooutwithmesometime!?”
Is over the moon when you say yes, and even more so when the two of you progress into a relationship.
The sweetest boyfriend ever. If you tell him you’ve had a bad day, he will turn up outside your door with chocolates and cozy up to watch some sappy feel-good movie to make you feel better.
He is nice, but that doesn’t mean he will ever tolerate anyone talking shit about you or your relationship with him. Do not test him.
Dazai Osamu:
Tumblr media
Resident popular bastard. You cannot convince me otherwise.
Also double-times as the class clown sometimes. Being constantly sleep-deprived and having no self-preservation instincts definitely proves helpful for that.
Verrry popular with the ladies, but doesn’t stick with one for too long.
Also gets into trouble with authority a lot, but manages to smooth-talk his way out of it.
Plus, he’s so effortlessly gifted at everything he tries that it makes him kind of indispensable. Academics, sports, art, music, extra-curriculars, you name it, this dude has got it nailed. The school cannot afford to put him in too much trouble.
However, just because he’s a prodigy doesn’t mean he actually cares much about any of it. The only things Dazai cares about is amusing himself enough so that he doesn’t kill himself for one more day.
Has a secret affinity for classic literature and poetry, but hates the teacher.
Doesn’t pay attention in class and never studies for any of the exams but still manages to ace every single one of them, somehow.
The kind of person to throw paper balls at the teacher during class because he’s bored.
Gets along with most people, but has a small, intimate circle of friends he really cares about.
When he first starts dating you, most people don’t even bat an eye, because this is Dazai Osamu. He has a new girl hanging off his arm every week, let’s see how long this one lasts. Which is why they’re so surprised when it has been months and he’s still so hopelessly, head over heels in love with you.
Being taken does not decrease the amount of female attention he gets, and although he still revels in it and has fun making you jealous sometimes, at the end of the day, he only really has eyes for you.
“I have a plan, belladonna. Let’s commit double-suicide in front of everyone on our graduation day!”
Nakahara Chuuya:
Tumblr media
Quite popular with everyone, and why wouldn’t he be? He’s beautiful, rich, and throws the best and wildest parties.
He is rich, but not arrogant. You might think he’s a jock, but that’s not actually true either. He is extremely good at sports and athletics, but refuses to actually join any of the teams.
Quite serious about his academics. He has got his eye on all of the ivy league colleges.
He’s actually very smart, but that gets overlooked in lieu of all his other qualities.
Scores fairly good in almost everything, but his best subject is physics. He is a literal genius at that.
Will reluctantly agree if you ask him to tutor you.
He doesn’t actively start fights, but he never backs down from one either. You have to be an absolute idiot to provoke him, because he is strong and will not hesitate to break your face and hand your ass back to you.
Is the crush of almost all the girls in his year, plus some more.
Who can blame them, though? Have you seen him??
Is ridiculously good at playing the guitar, but hardly anyone knows about that.
Not actually that much into dating, but the first time he lays eyes on you, he’s dumbstruck. You have him completely whipped, and you haven’t even talked to him yet.
He will muddle through his head for days on end, trying to come up with the best way to ask you out. He wants to be very suave and gentlemanly and completely sweep you off your feet.
Ends up a nervous mess when he actually tries.
“So, uhm, would you – uh – would you maybe go out with me sometime?”
Cue his sigh of relief when you reply with, “I’d love to.”
He’s gruff and intimidating with everyone else, but very sweet with you. Will even watch cheesy romance movies with you if you pester him enough.
Flowers bouquets and sneaking you out at midnight for bike rides
You are sure to incite the rage and animosity of many girls if you do start to date him. Not to worry, though. He would defend you against any and everyone, because you are the one he cares about, not any of them.

CHAPTER 8
LOOMING DARKNESS (DAY 1: SUNDAY)
“…Is he alive?”
The group gathered around the man lying within the spider lilies. None of them has any idea what in the world had happened. When the man dropped down from the tree and hung there, they were all too stunned by the sight to even think let alone move.
Then, after swaying around for a bit, the branch probably couldn’t handle the excess weight anymore and snapped, sending the man crashing into the bed of flowers with the branch falling over his head, creating a sickening crack.
It was this that snapped the kids out of their shock and instantly moved in to help.
Sato and Kirishima removed the branch from the man while the rest of them frantically loosened the white rope which turned out to be bandages wrapped on the man’s neck.
The man was surprisingly handsome. The phrase tall, dark and handsome fit this man's appearance perfectly. However, his appearance wasn't what caught all of their attentions. What caught their attention was the bandages wrapped around his exposed arms and neck…as well as the single, silvery handcuff locked around his right wrist.
“Hey…he couldn’t be a criminal, could he?” Hagakure spoke out everyone's thoughts.
“There’s no way…right?” Sato mumbled unsurely. After all, who else but a criminal would go around with a handcuff?
“It could be cosplay though.” Sero pointed out.
Midoriya had a hand to his mouth, brows furrowed in deep concentration as he stared at the handcuff, then to the bandages possibly covering the man’s entire body. His green eyes flew wide as he looked over to the broken branch, then back to the man.
Those injuries…
The way he had dropped from the branch…
The way his bandages held him up…
And most importantly, that handcuff.
Suddenly, everything linked together in his brain as he imagined a vivid image of what had happened.
“Midoriya-chan, did you think of something?” Asui asked, a finger to her lips as she tilted her head curiously.
“It’s possible…that he’s trying to commit suicide.” Midoriya said seriously.
“S-suicide?!” Yaoyorozu gasped with her hands to her mouth.
“No shit, did you just think of that now?” Bakugou sneered.
“Why do you think that?” Kirishima asked. “His bandages could have just gotten tangled up.”
“But why would he be here?”
He put together a story of a criminal on the run, having no choice but to commit suicide in this isolated place…
"We should contact the police," Iida said as he pulled out his flip phone.
It was at that moment when the man sat up.
It was as if time had stopped for Class 1-A. They stared in shock at the man that had just so casually sat up, blinking those chocolate brown eyes as he stared back at the kids.
Just as the man parted his lips, the green-haired teen was already in his face, shouting, “Killing yourself is bad!”
“…Eh?” The brown-haired man stared at the boy blankly. Unfortunately, no one paid any attention to his expression, as the rest of the kids crowded around the man.
“Yeah, killing yourself is bad, dude!”
“You can talk to us, sir!”
“Tell us what’s wrong! I’m sure we can figure it out together!”
“You shouldn’t treat your life so lightly!”
The man blinked once…twice…and then, he laughed.
“I’m afraid there might be some misunderstand here.” The man chuckled as he pointed up at the branches stretched over their heads. “I was having lunch up there when I slipped, got my bandage caught in the branch and fell off.”
“I-is that so?” Midoriya was completely flushed in red from the embarrassment of misunderstanding the situation. He was so certain the man had been trying to kill himself…
“Fucking nerd.” Bakugou—who had been watching them as if they were idiots from the sideline—sneered. He turned to the man, eyes narrowed in suspicion and snapped in a rude tone, “Why the fuck were you having lunch in a tree with those scrawny limbs?”
It was the blond’s way of questioning why the man had climbed a tree when he clearly doesn’t have the physical ability to do so. Bakugou was suspecting the truth behind the man’s words, along with the man himself.
The man smiled and looked at Bakugou from the corner of his eyes. The brunet pulled one of his knees up, resting his elbow on top while his chin in the palm of his hand. His action made everyone shift their eyes to the handcuff dangling on his wrist. The cuff was bathed in the light of the setting sun, reflecting the crimson hue in a strange, eerie glint.
“Well, I was enjoying a good meal made by my ever-loving wife! But then I couldn’t help but overheard that little lady’s story. It gave me such a fright that I lost my balance and fell off!”
“Eeeeh?!” Ashido gapped, pointing to herself. “It’s my fault?!”
“Dude, you almost committed murder.” Kaminari teased the flustered girl.
Bakugou narrowed his eyes, obviously not pleased to have his question bypassed just like that. He opened his mouth, about to snap at the man when Kirishima interrupted him, causing the vein on his head to throb even harder.
“But you spat out blood!”
The man blinked, obviously confused. He wiped a hand over his lips and looked down at the red stain on his fingertips.
“Aaaah~ this is the tomato juice I was drinking!”
“Tomato juice?!”
The kids stared at the red stain. It really did look like blood…
“It’s disgusting, you should try it.” The man said merrily, causing more than half of them to stare at the man, wondering if they’ve heard wrong.
If it’s disgusting, why should they try it?
“Why the hell would we want to try that?!” Bakugou roared.
“It’s good for hair growth.” The man replied, looking back up at Bakugou. “Your temper reminds me of my wife—and you don’t look like you’ll grow tall either. If you keep this up you’ll start going bald after entering your twenties. Best to rack up vitamins while you still—”
It was at that moment when it happened.
All they saw was a blur of red flashing by their sight before their eardrums were assaulted by the loud, explosive sound. It was like the cracking sound of thunder—like something moving at a super high speed—tearing through the air.
And then…
Boink
A gust of wind was suddenly blasted into their faces, forcing the kids to shut their eyes as crimson petals and leaves danced wildly in the air.
When the sudden wind died down, they opened their eyes and the first thing they saw was the strange man—face planted an inch within the dirt with his butt sticking out of the flowers. Right next to mop of messy brown hair was something cylinder slowly rolling away.
Asui—being the closest person—bent down and picked it up.
“Gero?” She turned the object around in her hand blinked before holding it up so that her classmates could see.
“A…can?” Midoriya frowned in confusion.
It wasn’t just any can. On the tall can, there was the image of a juicy red tomato printed on it. At the bottom corner of the can was a dent.
They all stared at the can, then to the man still kissing the dirt.
“What was that just now?” Yaoyorozu asked uncertainly.
They all looked around to each other, but none of them had any answers.
It had all happened way too fast, and none of them had their eyes open enough to see anything. From what they felt and heard, the only explanation was this can—but that itself already made no sense! If this can was traveling at that kind of speed, it wouldn't just leave a dent. Shouldn’t the entire thing would be flattened from the force?
A couple of the students were looking up the tree, but they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
“Ah…that’s where it went.” A large, slender hand reached out, taking the can from Asui.
“Are…are you alright?” Iida asked as they stared at the man who was rubbing the back of his head as he slowly got up.
“Yep.” The man replied as if he didn’t find the situation the slightest bit weird. His long, nimble fingers spun the can around as he looked back up at the kids with a Cheshire cat smile. “So, what brings you kids here?”
“Oh, we’re just looking around and—” Uraraka responded, but was cut off by the man holding up a hand to her.
“No,” the brunet corrected, “I meant, what brings you to Yokohama?”
A deathly silence filled the place. The U.A students stared at the man with wide eyes for three full seconds before panic seeped in.
“H-how did you know?!” Hagakure was close to tears. Three hours and they've already been exposed twice! She couldn’t begin to imagine what would happen if Aizawa was to find out!
“Well, for one thing, that young lady’s scarf is still down.” The man pointed at Ashido whose scarf indeed was down. Due to her wiping the strawberry jam off her lips, she had also wiped off some foundations, revealing the pink skin underneath.
Ashido hurriedly pulled up her scarf, but it was already meaningless by this point.
“And this place is closed to the public. Although there’s no sign, everyone in Yokohama knows they can’t enter this place.” The man added, causing the kids to stiffened.
“S-sorry, we didn’t mean to trespass. Can you not tell anyone about this?” Yaoyorozu pleaded.
“We’re not suspicious people! We’re just here on a tour!” Uraraka quickly added.
“Sure.” The man shrugged. “As long as you keep the fact that you’ve met me here a secret as well.”
“Why’s that?” Kirishima asked in confusion.
“As I've said, this place is closed to the public. It’ll be bad if I’m found here.”
“So you’re trespassing as well!” Bakugou accused.
“Never said I wasn’t.” The man hummed lightheartedly. "My workplace is nearby and this place got a good view. Though I am saddened to hear how such a romantic place has been turned into a horror story."
“Romantic?” Jiro looked around the red maples and flowers.
“May I ask what is this place?” Yaoyorozu was unable to contain her curiosity. After all, no matter what age, women will always be weak to the word romantic.
“Yes! Can you please tell us?” Hagakure pleaded.
“There’s no name yet, but this place was built four years ago.” The man began as he stood up, brushing the petals and leaves off his suits as he does so. He walked through the group of kids—all of them parting ways for him—and stood at the shore, bathed in the fiery light.
“The owner remodeled this place to propose to the person he loves. He planted the lilies and maples and proposed exactly at this time—when the sea and the sky are dyed in the colour of blood. He said…”
“Will you walk down this bloody path with me to and through the gate of hell?”
The kids all felt that strange chill from before returning, silently creeping up their spines and wrapped around their necks, making the air suddenly harder to breathe.
“And then…?” Uraraka asked hesitantly.
By now, all the girls' curiosity of the so-called romance died away, realizing that this was very different than what they've imagined.
The man slowly turned. With the crimson light shining behind him, he was covered in shadows.
The chill the kids were feeling suddenly turned into full out fear as their heart rates spiked. However, none of them could move. They just stared at the man, whose eyes were the only thing they were able to see. Those eyes were gleaming, reflecting the red around them—looking very much like the eyes of a devil.
“Of course…” The man stepped forward and all at once the kids held their breaths.
“His lover accepted his proposal and they got happily married!” The man suddenly burst out cheerfully, jumping right into their faces as the shadows peeled off him, revealing a gigantic smile on his lips.
“…HUH?” The students stared blankly at the man.
At the back of the group, Mineta tilted backward. His eyes were rolled into the back of his head as he tumbled into the flowers. Unfortunately, no one had noticed him, as all of them were too busy staring at the man.
“I-is that…a joke?” Aoyama stammered with a hand clenching his chest. He nearly had a heart attack!
“Of course not.” The man held up his right arm and showed them the handcuff on his wrist. "As proof of their love, they handcuffed each other, so that they will always be tied. Even in death, their sins will continue to bind them together.”
A moment of silence passed by as the kids stared at the man’s handcuff.
“Wait...that’s what that handcuff is?!” Iida gapped in realization before letting out a long breath of relief. Thank goodness the man wasn’t some criminal on the run.
“Did you think it was anything else?” The man tilted his head in a curious gesture.
“Ah, no, it’s just in Japan—I mean back at our home, we don't use uh, handcuffs,"  Ojiro explained awkwardly. In fact, it wasn’t just Japan…there’s probably nowhere else in the world that would propose with handcuffs…
“Though I think it’s romantic!” Hagakure swooned, earning surprised and weird looks from her classmates.
“After that, a myth began in Yokohama.” The man hummed. “They say that if you proposed when the sky and the sky are at the reddest, your love will receive blessings from Port Mafia.”
“Port Mafia?” Tokoyami gasped.
“What does Port Mafia got anything to do with this?” Sato asked.
“Hmm? Did I not tell you?” The man blinked innocently. “The one who made this place and proposed is the current boss of the Port Mafia.”
“EEEEEEEEEH?!”
The last bit of sunlight has vanished into the sea. The sky was gradually turning purple as the crimson that once bathed this land began to fade into the coming darkness.
“Now then, I believe it’s time for you kids to get going.” The brunet waved his hand. “If you’re gone for too long, your guardian will be worried.”
As if on cue, the ringing sound of phone echoed into the air.
At first, none of the kids reacted, as it’s wasn’t a ringtone any of them were familiar with. But then they remembered the temporary phones they were given and immediately started frantically pulling them out.
In the end, it turned out the ringing was from Midoriya’s phone.
“Hello?” Midoriya put the phone on speaker as everyone gathered around him. The man just stood there, hands tucked in his pockets as he watched them quietly.
“WHERE DID YOU GUYS GO?!” A panicky voice none of them had ever heard of before shouted through the speaker. “Give me your location! I’m coming right now!”
“E-eh?! Uh…” Midoriya panicked as he looked around, finding nothing that could possibly indicate their current location. Then, Midoriya’s eyes got drawn to the tall stranger. He was smiling at him and mouthing a string of words.
Midoriya wasn’t supposed to understand. He knew nothing about lip-reading, but he understood the man perfectly. His lips moved in such clear and simplistic ways that Midoriya could almost hear him whispering the words into his ears. He shivered at the weird feeling but quickly relayed the address he has gotten.
With a sharp click, the person on the other side hung up.
“...What do you guys think that’s about?” Kirishima asked as he looked around his companions.
“They couldn’t have found out…could they?” Mineta—who was woken up by the phone call—shivered at the thought of the teachers finding out what happened early today.
“Either way, we should get going," Shouji suggested. The rest of the students nodded before remembering the strange man who was still standing there, watching them with a light smile on his lips.
“Although it wasn’t my intention, I did cause you some trouble. I apologize for that. I do hope you’ll enjoy our city during your stay.” And then, the man held his long index finger to his thin lips. “Remember not to tell anyone you’ve met me here, or I’ll be in huge trouble.”
“O-of course!” Yaoyorozu bowed. “Thank you for keeping our secret as well!”
“Just make sure to wrap yourselves up properly next time. You never know who might be watching.”
“Yes! Thank you so much!” Ashido along with the rest of the class thanked the man. They hurriedly left, afraid that if they waste any more time whoever was on the phone would call back to yell at them again.
Chocolate brown eyes trailed after the kids, watching them until they vanished into the shadows of the forest.
As the night began to set in, scarlet lanterns that were hidden within the maple trees began to light up one by one, illuminating the man’s surroundings and once more bathing the field in crimson light.
The leaves of the Japanese maples turned transparent from the light, revealing the silhouette of a person sitting high up on the branch.
“Da-za-iiii!” A low and husky voice growled from behind the curtain of red, stretching out the name of the brunet who gazed up the tree with a sly smile.
“Yes, Chuu-yaaa~?” The man sang back, stretching out the other’s name just as long.
“The fuck’s with that shitty story?!” The figure snapped, shadows moving behind the leaves yet despite his movements, the branch he perched on didn’t shake by the slightest bit.
“My dear, how could you say that about our love proposals?!” Dazai gasped with one hand to his heart while his handcuffed hand stretched towards the figure.
The tree shook this time. Within a whirlwind of leaves, a man dressed in all black dropped down, landing gracefully within the flowers as his wavy pumpkin orange locks fluttered in the air.
“Love proposal?” The man snorted. “Since when did bringing me to this damn place without any explanation, handcuffed me, ordering me never to take it off and to cross the Styx River with your shitty ass became a love proposal?!”
“Oh?” Amusement swirled within Dazai’s brown eyes as he stared at his companion. “But according to my memory, Chuuya agreed to it, didn’t you? You said you’ll spend the rest of your life with me~!”
“Like hell I did! I said I’ll—!” Chuuya cut himself off, pink hue slowly dusting over his cheeks as he finally realized just what the other man was trying to gull him into saying.
"Yes?" Dazai was meaning dangerously close to Chuuya. “What was it you’ve said again, Chuu-yaaa?”
Scarlet burst across the shorter man’s face, but it wasn’t red from embarrassment. He was red from anger as the veins beneath his forehead throbbed.
Dazai chuckled as he gracefully leaped back—just in time to avoid a slender leg coming at him in a roundhouse kick. Then he raised a hand, catching the tomato can that came hurling at him once more, except this time it lacked the speed and power it had before.
And then—Dazai was swept off his legs.
He fell into the flowers, his back hitting painfully against the hard ground and was pinned down by the weight of another person. He smirked, not even the slightest bit surprised as he stared at the petite man sitting on top of him, looking down at him with a dead serious look.
“…You promised you wouldn’t do it again.”
“Hm?” Dazai tilted his head. Burnt umber eyes stared into those bright blue eyes that seemed to glow in the night sky. There was a mixture of bitterness and anger swirling within them like a storm—well, mostly anger.
“That.” Chuuya spat. “Your idiotic suicides!”
“But Chuuya!” Dazai countered innocently. “You’re the one who kicked me off the tree!”
“I wouldn’t have kicked you in the first place if you just behave like an adult!” Chuuya roared. He grabbed Dazai by the collar and with just a single hand, he jerked the brunet up so that they were face to face. “You made me kick you! Right after you tied your bandage onto a fucking branch in my blind spot!”
“Which means it wasn’t suicide!” Dazai chirped merrily.
The sounds of veins snapping could be heard from the shorter man.
Thinking quickly, Dazai did the only thing that could save him from the incoming pain. He leaned forward, closing the last bit of gap between them as his lips captured a pair of softer ones. While his lover was frozen in the state of shock, Dazai wrapped his arms around the redhead’s small and lithe frame. With a flip, he rolled them around, their lips never detaching as Chuuya sprawled beneath him.
The kiss lasted for a full minute before Dazai had to reluctantly pull away.
“Besides,” The brunet licked his lips, marveling the way the redhead’s lips glistened in the warm lighting. “I know Chuuya would save me. Didn’t you break that branch for me?”
“I rather not be put under suspicion of murdering you on top of all these shits you’ve started.” Chuuya huffed, turning his head away and refusing to keep looking at that irritating smug face.
“So?” He spoke with full sarcasm, “What the fuck was that about?”
“Of course it was to teach those kids a lesson.” Dazai huffed. “I spent months planning this romantic theme for my proposal and to hear them using it as a horror story saddens me greatly!”
“Like hell anyone would find this creepy place romantic!” Chuuya rolled his eyes, clearly not believing a word that comes out of the other’s mouth.
“Oh? Then perhaps I could change your mind…” Dazai was already reaching for those delectable lips when…
“Ahem~”
“Ugh!” Dazai crumbled into the spider lilies. His body was curled up like a shrimp in boiling water with arms clutching over his stomach where he had been mercilessly punched.
Chuuya was instantly on his feet, petals fluttering off him in his haste as he bowed to the tall woman slowly walking out from the crimson maple trees as if she was on an evening stroll. She carried a crimson parasol over her head, protecting her from the fluttering leaves of the forest.
“Ane-san!” Chuuya greeted respectfully.
“My, my~ I do hope I am not interrupting.” The woman said, bringing her pink kimono sleeve up to her lips. She was seemingly hiding her smile, but her sleeve was just low enough for the two men to see the corner of her curved lips.
“As an executive, it is part of my duty to make sure our boss’s image does not get tarnished in the hearts of our men, so I decided to come first and make sure you’re…” Her ruby red eyes looked over the brunet up and down. “Presentable.”
"But of course," Dazai said through gritted teeth while maintaining a smile matching the woman's. “Chuuya.”
Chuuya reached into his pocket, pulling out a roll of bandage as he began unwrapping the messy old bandages from Dazai’s neck and replacing them with new ones. The woman watched the two’s interactions, the mocking smile on her lips turning genuine as she turned her attention elsewhere.
Specifically—the ruined flower field.
Due to Dazai’s idiocy and the appearances of twenty kids walking around, a lot of the spider lilies were crushed
“Such a pity for these flowers to wilt like this.” The woman lamented. “They would make a very nice bouquet.”
“Take as much as you like, Kouyou-san.” Dazai waved his hand dismissively.
“Well…since the boss so generously offered, who am I to reject?” Kouyou reached down and pick up a beautiful spider lily that had its stem bent. “I’m sure Boss wouldn’t mind me taking a detour for tomorrow’s mission, would you?”
“Of course not.” Dazai stood up once Chuuya fixed his bandage in place.
Chuuya held a hand towards the maple tree he had been hiding within when the kids were present. From within the crimson leaves, a black coat and a long maroon scarf came flying out, shrouded by crimson light as they flew into the man’s outstretched hand.
Dazai didn’t move as he allowed Chuuya to put the black jacket over his shoulders and the long scarf around his neck. Just as the shorter man was about to put away the bandages, a slender hand touched his, stopping his movement.
“Kouyou-san, what are your thoughts on those kids?” Dazai asked as he took the bandages from Chuuya.
The elegant woman smiled, not the slightest bit ashamed in knowing she had been caught peeking. After all, it was also part of her duty to watch over her young boss.
“Not worth mentioning.” Kouyou’s words were harsh, yet her voice was still light and airy as if she was discussing the weather.
The sound of footsteps came from all directions around them. One by one, men and women emerged from the shadows. Most of them were all dressed in black suits with sunglasses hiding their faces. They all knelt and dipped their heads low, bowing respectfully to the brown-haired man standing at the center.
Kouyou grinned as a dangerous glint flickered across her sharp eyes. “Even to the very end, those children have no idea that their lives had been spared.”
That’s right, the moment those Heroes-in-training got close to Dazai, a noose had been wrapped around each of their necks. All they needed was a signal and those children’s life would have ended as quickly as a snap of a finger.
“Chuuya?” Dazai turned his gaze to Chuuya who had assumed his business attitude—standing dutifully by his side with his hands folded behind his back.
“I’m with Ane-san," Chuuya responded. “If those were my subordinates, I would have given each of them three shots.”
The kids had high awareness, but that was the extent of it. None of them were able to figure out the truth behind everything.
Despite what Dazai said, Chuuya knew why the brunet had hung himself.
As those kids stood within the flowers, their senses were alerting them of danger. They were able to sense the danger they were in, but they were too unfamiliar with the sense of death hanging over their heads, so they weren’t able to pinpoint exactly what their body was alerting their brains of.
This was all due to their lack of experience and the peaceful lives they’ve undoubtedly led.
Dazai’s dramatic entrance shattered that. He drew all of their attention onto himself, making them dismiss the uneasy feeling they’ve had ever since arriving. Even if they felt anything off after that, those suspicions would all be directed at Dazai, not their surroundings.
And that was all built upon Dazai giving them a chance.
When that pale-haired boy questioned Dazai on his lie, Dazai used the most obvious way possible to change the topic. There was a handful within the group that noticed, but none of them pointed that out—not even the boy that questioned it.
“It goes to show the levels of Heroes and Villains these days.” Dazai hummed.
Chuuya snorted quietly. There were so many things he wanted to retort about his Boss, but he couldn’t do that with all these people present. Kouyou was right. As executives, they had to at the very least protect the image of their boss—though Chuuya liked to argue that their boss's image was tarnished years ago.
“Chuuya.” Upon being called again, Chuuya looked up and was shocked by what he was seeing. “Help me out here. It’s a bit hard to do this without a mirror.”
“…I thought you should be used to it by now.” Chuuya muttered, eyes unable to leave the man’s face as he drank in that nostalgic sight. He slowly reached his hands up, the situation still feeling surreal to him as he helped fixed the bandages in place.
Even Kouyou’s eyes rounded as she stared at Dazai.
“If the former boss was to see you now…he would be very pleased.” She whispered gently in a nostalgic tone.
Right there, standing at the very center, was a brown-haired man dressed in nothing but black with bandages wrapped around his left eye—concealing half of his face. This was no longer the Dazai they’ve familiarized themselves with for the past couple of years.
This was the old Dazai—the Dazai before the battle with Mimic.
This was the Demon Prodigy of Port Mafia—the other half of Double Black.
Chuuya stepped back after he finished tying the knot. The face that was now in front of him perfectly overlapped with the one in his childhood memories.
Dazai gave the orange-haired man a light smile before his expression completely changed. Warmth seeped away from those soft brown eyes, taking a darker, colder glint that will make anyone who looked into them shiver in fright.
“Now then.”
At the change of his tone, the two executives got down to their knees. Chuuya took off his hat, placing it against his chest while Kouyou had retracted her parasol and laid it by her side.
Their free time was over.
Now, it was time for them to get to work.
“Tachihara, what are the statuses of our guests?” Dazai looked towards a young man with spikey auburn hair and a bandage over the bridge of his nose.
The man was one of the few within the group to not wear the standard black suits, but a green jacket with fur around the collar and a white v-neck shirt with black borders underneath.
“They have settled within Block 03, just as you predicted, Boss.” The young man responded. “The Black Lizard is on standby for your orders.”
“Send out three men to tail each member. If they show signs of trying to shake you off, let them. In two days, they will be contacting us—right when Hirotsu-san returns from his vacation, I believe?”
“Yes, Boss.” Tachihara nodded.
Dazai didn’t look at Tachihara anymore. He gazed up at the full moon shining brightly within the night sky. A gentle breeze flew by, causing the crimson leaves to rustle as the lanterns within swayed lightly.
This short moment of peacefulness was shattered by the next words that came out of Dazai’s mouth.
“Release Q.”
All mafia members that had been within Port Mafia long enough or had at least heard the rumours stiffened in alarm. Even Kouyou—given her years of experience—twitched ever so slightly at hearing the name.
The only one completely unaffected was Chuuya. The man continued to kneel by his boss’s side, head dipped low as with his bangs falling over his face, hiding his expression from the rest of the world.
“Will that be wise?” Kouyou questioned, lifting her head just enough for her eyes to meet with Dazai’s. “He is still being punished for escaping his confinement during the Guild’s attack.”
"I believe he has learned his lesson," Dazai smirked. “A proper caretaker has already been arranged.”
“Then as you command, I will release him.” Kouyou lowered her head once more, easily accepting her boss’s decision.
Dazai turned, coat whirling around him like a dark cape as he walked off with Chuuya and Kouyou close behind him.
“Let’s go, we have a long night ahead of us.”
“YES, BOSS!”
◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥
It had taken a while for Class 1-A to leave the forest.
In the beginning, the darkness made it hard to navigate, especially when none of them familiar with their surroundings. However, halfway through, lights suddenly appeared within the trees, chasing away the darkness and allowing them to see properly. When they looked through the leaves, they found that those were red lanterns hung on the branches. The red coating on the lanterns was the same colour as the maple leaves. That was why none of them had noticed during the day.
The lanterns lid up their paths little by little. Drawn by the gorgeous lights, their feet had unintentionally slowed as they admired the scenery.
By the time they’ve made it out into the street, the sky was completely dark. They waited there, watching cars passing by until they heard a voice in the distance.
“You guys!”
They all turned to see a boy running over to them. He looked only a couple years older than them with butterscotch coloured hair, a v-neck shirt and a red sweater tied around his waist.
“I was looking everywhere for you guys!” The boy nearly shouted in panic, then looked towards the entrance to the forest as if it would turn into a monster at any moment and devour him. “Please don’t tell me you went in there!”
“W-we uh…” Uraraka stuttered, not sure how to explain.
“Who are you?” Iida asked, but the other person wasn’t listening at all as he pulled out his phone to check the time.
“It’s already seven! Coming on, we need to head back to the Agency or we’ll never hear the end of it!”
Hearing the word Agency, Class 1-A finally realized that this person must have been the caller—meaning he was also someone from the Armed Detective Agency. Although none of them had any idea what had happened, they followed the boy around the city, arriving back in the Agency in half an hour.
“YOU MORONS!” Kunikida all but exploded in their faces the moment they made it back into the office.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Aizawa was standing right next to the blond, glaring at them with those gleaming red eyes with his hair fluttering in the air.
“After I specifically told you not to use your Quirks, you used it and even attacked an Ability user!”
“Hiie! H-how did he know?!” Mineta cried, jumping into Kaminari’s arms as the two boys quivered.
“Not even going to make excuses huh?” Aizawa said darkly. “You kids got guts.”
“W-wait, please hear us out, sensei!” Kirishima shouted, but Kunikida cut them off as he opened up his notebook.
“Minoru Mineta, peeked under a girl’s skirt at 2:43pm. The lady, Lucy Maud Montgomery then trapped him within her Ability. Not only did you guys not properly talked to her to defuse the situation or call one of us, Bakugou Katsuki even taunted her to activate her Ability despite not having any clear understanding of her powers. Then within her dimension, just because you didn’t think you were being watched, you all activated your Quirks against one lady.”
“H-how?!” Ashido spluttered.
“Allow me to introduce.” Kunihida snapped his notebook shut as the young man from before walked over to the blond. “This is Junichirou Tanizaki. He has been tasked with watching over you during your time outside.”
“Hello.” The boy, Junichirou Tanizaki, greeted meekly.
“Watching over us?” Midoriya was digging into his memories, trying to recall anything but nothing came to his mind.
“Since when?” Iida gasped, also having no idea how none of them noticed.
“Since the beginning.” Kunikida replied.
“Then…don’t tell me you were in Lucy’s dimension as well?” Kirishima gasped.
“I was.” Tanizaki nodded.
“Impossible! We didn’t see you at all!” Bakugou shouted.
“Tanizaki.” Kunikida looked over to Tanizaki who nodded.
Then, right in front of their eyes, Tanizaki changed. Within a mass of green pixels, the young man disappeared. In his place was a large built man in his forties dressed in standard bus driver uniforms.
Toshinori and Aizawa immediately recognized this man. It took a while for the kids, but one by one they began to recalled who that was.
“Aren’t you…the bus driver?!” Ashido gapped in shock.
“That’s right! You were…wait…what’s going on?” Kirishima furiously scratched his head.
“An illusion?” Midoriya blinked when something drifted by his eyes. He thought it was a large piece of dust, but when he looked around, he realized that it was suddenly snowing.
No, this wasn’t snow. These were light particles coming down from the green aurora that came out of nowhere and shrouded them.
“What is this?” Uraraka stretched out her hand and watched her fingers going through the green light. She couldn’t feel anything. There was no warmth or coldness coming from the light. It was as if it wasn’t even real.
“This is my Ability, Light Snow.” The bus driver replied. In another mass of green pixels, Tanizaki transformed back to himself. “I used my Ability to hide within you guys before you got transported into the other dimension.”
“Tanizaki’s Ability allows him to create illusions." Kunikida explained, vein still throbbing in his head. “That was how he’s been tailing you without any of you noticing. If Lucy Maud Montgomery had more battle experiences, she may have noticed she took one extra person in, but she didn’t. Since Tanizaki can slip in without anyone noticing, it won’t be surprising if someone from the Port Mafia had done the same.”
“T-then—” Aoyama became extremely pale.
“Were we found out?” Todoroki asked, voice calm and steady compared to most of his classmates.
That was apparently the wrong thing to ask, as Kunikida looked even more irritated—if that was even possible. The blond-haired man pulled out a letter from his pocket. It was a very wrinkled letter—as if someone had crushed it repeatedly within his palm.
They watched as Kunikida pulled out the letter from within the white envelope, eyebrow twitching as he began to read the content to them.
“Dear Armed Detective Agency,
It has come to my attention that the students of U.A High School have violated our agreement with regards to the usage of Quirks. On behave of their principal, and the fact that their actions did not impact Yokohama specifically, I will overlook it.
I suppose I am partly to blame in thinking that the elites within the Armed Detective Agency would be able to properly monitor them. I do hope you’ll be more adequate in the future.
Sincerely,
Port Mafia.”
The sounds of knuckles crackling were the only warning they got as the next couple minutes, Kunikida went berserk. It was like the last thread of his sanity had snapped. He fisted two ends of the letter, tearing it in half before he proceeded to shred them into tiny pieces within his hands before rolling them into a ball and slamming it into the trash can so hard that the papers just ended up flying back out.
“All of you go to the meeting room, NOW!” He ordered as some of the tiny pieces of paper landed within his hair.
None of them dared to speak. They quietly shuffled towards the room with Tanizaki kindly leading the way. After they went in, Tanizaki closed the door and came back over to where the two U.A teachers and Kunikida waited.
“Tanizaki. It’s not like you to lose some kids.” Kunikida said. Despite shoulder so much calmer, his hands were still busy tearing apart the envelope that had come with the letter. “What happened?”
Aizawa and All Might were curious as well.
They may not understand the boy’s skills, but just from his Ability, they could tell first hand just how good this illusion was. If a normal person can stalk a group of twenty kids walking down the street, it made no sense that a professional would fail at something so simple.
The uncertain look on Tanizaki’s face turned serious as he retold the event from his perspective.
“I was following them after they parted with that former Guild member. Just when I was crossing the street, a car ran through the red light and came right at me. By the time I dodged and look back, the kids were gone.”
Kunikida clicked his teeth as irritation returned at full speed.
“Is it the Port Mafia?” Despite asking, Toshinori was already one hundred percent certain of his guess. After all, this kind of diversion was too deliberate. They weren't even trying to hide it! On top of that, there was also the timing of the letter…no matter how he thought about it, it could only be the Port Mafia.
“Where did you find them?” Kunikida then questioned his co-worker.
“…They were standing in front of the gate to that forest.” Tanizaki mumbled, clapping his hands over his ears just in time to block out his superior’s scream.
“WHAT?!”
“What is wrong with this forest?” Aizawa frowned. Just by the two’s reactions, it can’t be anything good.
“There is a small forest around here owned by the current Port Mafia boss.” Kunikida replied seriously as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “No one but the Port Mafias ever goes in there.”
“You don’t mean…” Aizawa and Toshinori felt their hearts skipped a beat.
“Looks like we’ll need some serious talk with the kids.” Toshinori sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.
The Port Mafia…what exactly are they planning?

they’re cool guys (until their boyfriends get angry)
Pairing: Aomine/Kagami, Murasakibara/Himuro Summary: A blast from the past bites Murasakibara and Aomine in the ass (inspired by that one scene in dots) featuring Jealous!Kagami and Jealous!Himuro also on ao3
Murasakibara just finished one tiring round of basketball with the generation of miracles when his phone rang. He wipes the sweat off his forehead and takes his phone out.
“Eh? Kaga-chin?”
Aomine perks up at the sound of his boyfriend’s name. The Touou ace narrows his eyes at Murasakibara “Why is he calling you?”
Murasakibara just shrugs. He answers the phone and puts it on speaker (to ease Aomine’s worries--not that he’d ever tell him that).
“Mura, you have this large package from a--uhhh--Akemi-chan, where are you? Where should I put it?”
He freezes on the spot. Beside him, Aomine takes a few seconds to think why the name sounds familiar, when he remembers his back straightens and a full body shiver overtakes his body. Slowly the two miracles turn to each other, Aomine looks at the purple giant like it’s the end of the world, utterly horrified for his life and the next, eyes wide and mouth trembling, and Murasakibara is sure that his face looks exactly the same.
They both gulp. Sweat drips from their foreheads, and it’s not from playing basketball. Aomine keeps making aborted head movements mouthing at him about how he’s so dead and how dare you put me in this situation at him but Murasakibara can’t comprehend it from the absolute sheer stress.
Without breaking eye contact from Aomine, Murasakibara asks, “Kaga-chin, where are you?”
“The mess hall by the entrance, the mailman dumped it all here,”
Both men sprint to the mess hall for their lives.
---
Kagami looks at the big brown box in front of him with disdain. He really can’t believe that he’s out here guarding a package while he could be out there playing basketball. Training. Like they’re supposed to do on a training camp.
But then he has to be careful with belongings, his or not, especially when you have 6 basketball teams under one roof. Six basketball teams and the skittles crew, who still act like freshmen brats. Kagami sighs heavily.
Why did they even think that a joint training camp to celebrate and prepare for their final Winter Cup would be a great idea? It must’ve went past their minds that they’re seniors now and therefore have to act responsible. Which means this trip wouldn’t be enjoyable.
He takes the box in his hands. It was addressed to Murasakibara, and it’s probably snacks, that glutton. Kagami lifts and shakes the box.
Hefty for a box full of snacks. Huh.
“What’s that?”
Kagami almost drops the box, “Ah! You scared me!”
Tatsuya laughs from the doorway. And yeah, Tatsuya is spending his semestral break here, chaperoning for his giant skittle of a boyfriend. Kagami’s thoughts drift to his own skittle boyfriend and he thinks of whatever went wrong to their choice in men.
“You’re easily startled for someone who’s been partners with Kuroko for years, Taiga,”
“It’s different with other people Tatsu-nii,”
“If you say so,” Tatsuya gives a sweet smile as he walks towards him, “What’s that?” “Oh! It’s a package for Murasakibara, you might want to take it up your room before the kouhais get here.”
“For Atsushi?” Tatsuya frowns, “Who’s it from? Why do you have it?”
“It’s from an Akemi-chan,”
Tatsuya’s eyes narrow.
“I was on my way out when the mailman caught me, and since Murasakibara is not here I received the package for him. Do you know what it is?”
“No,”
“It’s probably some snacks, It has been a few days.”
“I highly doubt that.” Tatsuya’s eyes narrow further and he roughly takes the box from Kagami and slams it down the table.
Tatsuya starts reading the writing on the box, “Be strong Atsu-nii? With a red heart? I miss you Atsu-nii with anOTHER RED HEART?? EEEH??!!”
“Does Murasakibara have a younger sister?”
“HE’S THE YOUNGEST!” Tatsuya slams down the box again.
“That’s not my fault.”
Tatsuya then starts to angrily open the box.
“Oi! Tatsu-nii you can’t do that!”
Tatsuya doesn’t listen and keeps rummaging the box. He pulls out a red envelope and hastily opens it. Inside is a white card decorated with hearts, and inside the card is a photo.
A photo of Murasakibara and Aomine with two girls sitting on a cafe.
“Why the fuck is Daiki in that photo?”
Kagami takes the discarded card and reads it, “The day I met Aomine-senpai, Thank you for all the memories, I will forever treasure them.” The card crumples under Kagami’s hand.
Those fuckers.
“Tatsu-nii, do you still have that gun?”
A flurry of steps and squeaks of basketball shoes can be heard in the distance. Kagami and Tatsuya turn in sync to the doorway, ready to face their idiot boyfriends.
---
“It’s a misunderstanding!” Aomine immediately screams as soon as he arrived. “Taiga, it’s not what you think!” He pleads to his boyfriend as he’s gasping for air. He did sprint more than a few blocks to get here.
“Tatsu-chin, you got it wrong!” Added the purple giant, not even in the room yet.
When Murasakibara arrives, his eyes widen and he immediately snaps to attention. Back straight arms at the side, like a good ol’ soldier.
Aomine gives him a look, and notices the way he’s keeping his gaze straight. Shoulders tense.
He looks like he’s waiting to be shot down, jeez
Aomine follows his gaze and he snaps to attention too. Arms at the side and all that.
Their boyfriends look ready to kill.
“A misunderstanding?” Himuro scoffs and shows them the photo
“I have a photo of the four of you looking so sweet on a date. A misunderstanding?” Himuro’s cold tone makes Aomine and Murasakibara stand a little straighter.
But Kagami’s eyes are only on Aomine, “In the two years we’ve been together I’ve never seen you smile like this, Daiki.”
“I wasn’t smiling. I look like I’m smiling but I’m not, right? Murasakibara?” Aomine scoffs nudges the giant beside him, trying to lighten the mood. No one laughs, he’s so dead.
“She’s my cousin,” answers Murasakibara, very matter of factly, only looking at Himuro and nothing else, “My cousin, from Osaka,”
Kagami remains unimpressed “So you get a package from you cousin, and you and Daiki both come running?”
Aomine’s eyes widen.
“Which one is the cousin?” Himuro commands in a way that rivals Akashi.
“Huh?”
“Wha--”
“Answer at the same time, the girl on the left or the girl on the right? 3, 2, 1--”
“Left.”
“Right.”
Shit.
The two men in question gulp, Aomine looks at Murasakibara in agony. They’re so fucking dead.
The brothers look unimpressed but urge them to go on, they have a chance to cover it up--
“Right.”
“Left.”
fUCK
Aomine’s spirit leaves his body. Himuro and Kagami will kill them and throw their bodies in the sea and fly to America.
“I set-up Aomine on a date with a fan. It’s nothing more, nothing less.” Murasakibara says, speaking formally.
Aomine leans in and whispers, “Oi, Mura, are you betraying me?”
“I am.”
“Well you must’ve stayed in contact with her until now for her to know we’re in the training camp.” Aomine has never heard Kagami’s voice like this.
Aomine forces out a laugh, and looks at Murasakibara “Really Mura? You still talk to them? What were you thinking?” He scoffs and turns to Kagami with a smile, “See I reprimanded him, didn’t I do good?”
Kagami just glares at Aomine, “Follow me.” He orders and promptly leaves the room.
“Yes, Kaga-chin” Murasakibara says turning to go.
“Stay right fucking there.” Himuro orders.
“I apologize I thought Kaga-chin was talking to me, since I’m used to following orders.”
Himuro just raises his left brow.
Murasakibara leans over Aomine again, “You should go,”
Aomine lets out a sigh “Hnngh, I don’t really want to go,” He looks at the open door, he’s not too sure he’ll ever come back alive if he goes through it.
---
“Please Tatsu-chin, don’t misunderstand, it wasn’t a date--for me at least,”
“Stop talking shit,”
“It’s from the past”
“Ah, so the box, the letter, the photo, and the candies that was sent here today is from the past?”
“No, it’s from Tokyo,”
“You--” Tatsuya sighs “Just tell me, how far did you go?”
“We went to Touou Academy,”
A vein pops on Tatsuya’s forehead, “You think that’s what I meant? How far did you go?! Did you get physical or not?!”
---
“I swear I didn’t!” Aomine pleads at the stoic face of his boyfriend “It was just an innocent fan meet! We just had ice cream!”
“Wow. So admirable. A gentleman.” Kagami drawls in a monotone.
“Thank you,” Aomine replies with a cheeky smile
“Huh, you must’ve taken out so many ladies out for ice cream eh?”
Aomine hangs his head
“And to think I was concerned for you when we took a break since you looked so distraught and begged me to take you back, I actually felt sorry for you. Turns out I had an immediate replacement.”
“No one can replace you!”
It takes Aomine a while to realize what he said, and when he did, he felt his face heat up. Opposite him, Kagami is also having the same problem.
A light dusting of red covers Kagami’s cheeks, so red it could be mistaken for anger, “That’s bullshit! Y-you--You look like you were having the time of your life!” the redhead stammers
“W-well y-you didn’t-- you didn’t look at the photo well enough!” rebuts Aomine, equally flustered. “I had a blank expression! Like this!” He tries his might to do a poker face and points at it.
---
“I don’t believe you,” Tatsuya argues, “Who knows if you ate ice cream or drove her around!”
“I didn’t drive her around,”
“Lying will only make things harder.”
“...I did drive her.”
Tatsuya’s face go from unimpressed to absolutely furious.
“It wasn’t my car, It was Aomine’s. Though I really don’t understand why he brought his car.”
---
“Do you really expect me to believe that?!”
Aomine sighs, defeated, “No, I’m expecting you to let this go, Taiga. I don’t even remember her name.”
“Ah, you don’t remember, but those three syllables made you run two blocks across the beach and leave a basketball game?”
“That wasn’t me.”
Kagami screams out of frustration and flails his arms around “This is too fucking annoying!”
Something rings. It’s Kagami’s phone.
He takes it out of his pocket and points at it, “This person just saved your life, Ahomine.”
Aomine marches to Kagami “Oi, Bakagami who is that? Is that a boy or a girl?”
“Why the fuck would you care?”
“Cause if it’s a woman I’ll buy her food, and If it’s a man, I’ll buy him a drink.” Aomine smirks, “I owe them one.”
That smirk never fails to make Kagami blush. “It’s Coach Aida!” He yells and stomps away from Aomine.
The bluenet watches Kagami walk away, and when he’s out of eyesight he drops to his knees and covers his face.
He’s face is so hot, he’s sure that even with his dark skin he’s red all over.
Aaaah Kagami is too cute when he’s jealous!

[NishiNatsu] By your side
Word count: 1800
Summary: You can always find happiness in the simple things of life.
Note: AO3 link. Written for Chocolate Box 2019!
One-shot: By your side
Here is the thing. Natsume acts like he doesn't know what hands and legs are supposed to do, like he's an infant discovering the use of limbs by flailing and making distressed noises, and that's alright because he's prone to this bout of panicking once in a while.
The other thing is that usually, Nishimura isn't the one to cause such a state.
“Hey, relax, I'm sure Touko-san and Shigeru-san won't mind! And I know for sure that my brother and my mom won't mind, either.”
Natsume opens and closes his mouth several times, eyes so focused on what to say that he looks on the verge of imploding. His cat sits at his feet and yawns, bored out of his mind as he watches a butterfly fly by, and attempts a swipe at it. Nishimura is convinced that this is the epitome of normalcy.
“It's okay if you don't want to,” Nishimura says, furrowing his brows. “We've only had sleepovers with the other guys in the past, I understand if you're not comfortable with the idea yet.”
It's not the truth but it's not wrong either, because Nishimura will never be mad about this sort of subject. He did have an outburst, once upon a time, when he was still learning what kind of person Natsume was, and trying to wrap his mind around the fact such a nice guy was despised by basically everyone he met. He knows that things have been difficult, but if he doesn't push a bit, nothing will change.
Natsume recovers abruptly, his arms falling limp against his sides, and he doesn’t quite meet Nishimura’s eyes but he tries, and that’s the most important part.
“I was just surprised by your suggestion. Sorry if I seemed too weirded out, Nishimura.”
The light comes back in these clear eyes, bright and unashamed, emanating sincerity like a perfect-fit cloak. Nishimura loves the feeling of pride he gets from that; above all, he loves how at ease Natsume is—it took some time and Nishimura sometimes fears he will retreat back into his shell, but it happens very rarely, now.
“Don’t worry, it’s alright.” He grins, and wraps an arm around Natsume’s shoulders. “I’m glad you’re okay with it.”
Natsume smiles, and Nishimura’s heart melts, again.
***
Some people would think they’re being paranoid or extremely slow, which might be true to some extent, but better be safe than sorry, right? It’s not like they can decide what to do without taking into account every factor they know, unless they wish to make mistakes they’d regret. Nishimura’s mother told him that teenagers are supposed to make mistakes, and that was how they learn life, but Nishimura thinks it’s way too painful to rely on deeds that could have been prevented and saved them a lot of grief. He doesn’t want Natsume to freak out, and from what he’s gathered (with a little bit of help since he's apparently too blind), Natsume is afraid of messing up, so that’s fifty-fifty. No big deal, if they’re on the same page. People shouldn’t meddle, anyway, so the accusations are irrelevant.
He doesn’t want to be inconsiderate, and he wants to make Natsume happy. If they need to take baby steps to do so, then Nishimura will keep this pace; seeing him smile and get flustered at the small attentions is worth everything, and Nishimura will fight anyone who tries to push them into a direction they don’t plan on following.
He takes Natsume’s hand in his, gently intertwining their fingers, holding him tight. He doesn’t look at his boyfriend’s reaction, but from the way he stiffens then immediately relaxes, it feels perfectly safe and how it should be. He doesn’t have any frame of reference regarding this kind of experience, but Nishimura is positive this is the best feeling he could have plucked from his heart.
They reach Natsume’s home, where they let the cat rush into the house probably to get snacks, while Natsume announces his arrival.
“Thank you for having me!” Nishimura says enthusiastically, removing his shoes and lining them up with Natsume’s.
Touko-san greets them with her warm smile and her bright energy, like she’s never running out of supply to make guests feel at home.
“Welcome back, Takashi-kun. Satoru-kun, please make yourself at home!”
She is so kind and so reassuring Nishimura can’t even believe she isn’t an actual angel blessing them all. He is so, so glad that Natsume lives with the Fujiwaras and found somewhere he can call a home.
“Touko-san, can I help you prepare dinner?” he asks earnestly. “I brought tomatoes from our garden!”
Touko-san looks surprised at his request, a refusal at her lips, but she casts a quick look at Natsume then at Nishimura, and her decision is made.
“That's very kind of you Satoru-kun. Takashi-kun, we are out of green onions, could you pick up some at the store? I forgot to ask you to buy it on your way home.”
Nishimura’s smile grows wider at the confusion written all over Natsume's face, and has to bite his cheeks to contain his laughter. He squeezes his shoulder and gestures towards the door.
“Don't worry, I'm not going to break anything,” he teases. “And Touko-san won't let me anyway.”
“But Nishimura—”
“It's okay, just go, we need our green onions!”
The cat chooses that moment to resurface, what looks suspiciously like anpan in his mouth, striding towards Natsume's feet and brushing against his ankles. Natsume looks down with a crease between his brows, and falls into a deep silent conversation with his pet. Nishimura can't believe that a cat manages to pull a deadpan expression while being smug, but that’s the reality he’s living—this creature has always been weird, and oddly reassuring at the most random times, but he seems to understand Natsume on a whole other level than people. Whatever communication that happened between the two pushed Natsume to agree to leave the house. He shoots a smile at Nishimura over his shoulder and promises to be quick, his cat in tow.
When the door slides closed, silence reigns for a few seconds before Touko-san chuckles. The sound doesn’t startle Nishimura, but he does turn around to stare at her, not without joy of his own.
“Takashi-kun must be thinking I want to tell you embarrassing things about him,” she says.
“I already see him embarrass himself every day, but I wouldn’t be against more information,” Nishimura laughs.
He picks up the bag of tomatoes and deposits it on the kitchen counter. Touko-san was already cutting vegetables before they arrived, while the meat is marinating. She instructs him to slice them in small pieces, which he does diligently—he has never been the best cook in the vicinity, but at least he can make good use of a knife.
They take their time. Nishimura knows that getting Natsume out of the house isn’t insignificant, especially since Touko-san is being quiet about it. So he waits for her to speak, while he pretends he’s able to focus on his task without freaking out.
“You and Atsushi-kun have been such good friends to Takashi-kun,” Touko-san whispers. “I was so relieved to see there were people willing to become his friends. You know how hard it has been for him.”
Oh he knows, he knows nothing has ever been kind to Natsume, but he wishes he knew more; not to do something about it, because he can’t, but because it would lift a bit the weight of this burden constantly crushing Natsume, even when the situation is nothing like anything he’s lived before. Nishimura wants him to know it’s alright to talk about it.
“I just wish he’d be more open about his past.” His grip around the knife tightens. “We trust him and he trusts us. And now we’re, uh, closer.”
Touko-san stops stirring the soup and turns to him, her eyes crinkling with unconcealed happiness. “Takashi-kun always needs time to adjust to something, I wouldn’t be surprised if he decides to tell you stories he never told us after a few months.”
The implicit affirmation she expected them to be together for a long time, maybe forever, makes Nishimura’s heart skip a beat and stay stuck in his throat. He averts his eyes and swallows, unable to hold Touko-san’s gentle gaze without feeling he’s drowning.
“Thank you so much for everything you’re doing for my son, Satoru-kun. I wanted to tell you that. Shigeru-san isn’t here yet, but once he returns, I’m sure he will say the same.”
She puts a hand on his arm, silently nudging him to look at her. Her infinite love for Nasume is so palpable, but it extends to everything beyond its simple form—Nishimura senses her affection for him, her wishes and expectations, and he wants to fulfill them. He wants to wrap his arms around this world of love and keep it in his pocket, to remember how lucky he is, how much it means to him.
He meets Touko-san’s gaze, lips curling upwards in a grin. “I won’t disappoint you. Thank you for trusting me with Natsume.”
Touko-san nods, and she pulls him close for a hug. Nishimura embraces her just as tightly, remembering that this is a woman who wanted to pour all her energy into a child and who finally has the chance to do so. They stay like this a moment longer before pulling away, both of them showing so much gratitude Nishimura is surprised they can’t grasp it.
“I know you’ll care for him.” Touko-san pats his arm.
“I will, don’t worry!”
Later, when Natsume comes back with the requested green onions, Touko-san greets him with an even more cheerful smile and asks him if he plans on going on any dates with Nishimura soon. Both boys flush a deep red and Natsume stammers out an answer Nishimura isn’t sure makes sense, but Touko-san laughs behind her hand and tells them they’re being cute—which, admittedly, is the case for Natsume, at least.
Natsume’s cat settles at the foot of the table, patiently waiting for his food (or so it seems), though his piercing eyes are gauging Nishimura, as lazily as they are judgmental. He doesn’t make any sounds, he’s just being his brand of strange, so Nishimura raises an eyebrow at him, even if he feels silly for starting a staring match with a cat. It doesn’t last long, though, as Nyanko-sensei breaks eye contact with a snort and decides that bothering Natsume is more entertaining. The cat is very weird, the experience was very weird, but Nishimura can’t help thinking that he just passed a test with flying colors.
Well. He can deal with cryptic cats, if it’s Natsume’s and an essential companion to the family.

Headcanons: GOM + Kagami with their S/O who wants to learn to play basketball
Kuroko
He’s surprised at first but he gets really happy when you tell him that you want to learn
“I probably can’t teach you much practically, but I’m here to support you every step of the way.”
He’s a very patient teacher so you never felt any pressure when you messed up a shot, though he did reward you with a quick peck on the lips every now and then whenever you succeeded
The two of you got to spend more time together practicing which made Kuroko extremely happy
He’d often ask Aida, Aomine and a few other people for some tips on helping you get better and he often went out of his way to get permission for the two of you to practice in the school gym together
When you told him after his practice that you got into the school’s basketball team, Kuroko is over the moon, glad that his shared love of basketball with his s/o managed to produce results as he enveloped you in a tight hug followed by several kisses
He didn’t even care that the rest of his team was watching, he was just so proud of you, and he made sure to tell you over a celebratory dinner date
Kagami
“Are you serious?” he asks you when you tell him, unable to believe that you, someone who had never shown interest in sports before, were telling him that you wanted to play basketball
After watching a bunch of Kagami’s matches, you felt the urge to play as well
Hearing this, Kagami immediately got fired up and decided to help teach you
He didn’t know how to explain things well, so the two of you played lots of one-on-ones and he would stop and correct you whenever you did something wrong
“Y/N, do a dunk!”
“Kagami, I’m 5’3.”
Nevertheless, he insisted that you tried it, and of course, you only just grazed the bottom of the net
Kagami was always smiling during practice
Izuki told him that teaching you was the perfect time to make some moves on you, and it took him a while to finally muster the courage to do something like that
He tried to wrap his arms around you and teach you to shoot, but you ended up hitting his face with the ball accidentally
You made sure to shower him with hugs and kisses as a thank you for his teaching, which made him even happier to be sharing his passion with someone he loved
Kise
Kise was so excited that you wanted to learn basketball that he was practically skipping around the court when you told him after his practice
“My Y/N-cchi is gonna be the bestest basketball player there is!”
“I don’t think ‘bestest’ is a word—”
Unlike Kagami, Kise was very smooth when he wanted to make a move on you
He’d often give you small kisses on your neck whenever he was behind you to correct your shooting or defensive form
Kise was always full of energy and made sure to motivate you every time
When you tried out for the team and got accepted, Kise practically burst with joy
He did make sure to gloat about it though, to the point where everyone that Kise was close to would hear about you being on the team at least five times
“When you make it to the NBA, remember to tell the interviewers that I taught you to play, okay Y/N-cchi?”
You couldn’t help but giggle at your boyfriend’s adorable confidence, and you didn’t want his efforts to go to waste so you did your best
Kise would watch all your games, even the practice ones, and he’d be cheering so loudly that he’d get told off at almost every game
He couldn’t help it, he was just proud of you
Midorima
Midorima wasn’t very expressive in terms of emotions like excitement, so you telling him that you wanted him to teach you basketball didn’t exactly gain a big reaction from him
“Oh really? Sure, sounds good.” Pure monotone
However, the second he got home, he came up with an entire training regimen for you, which took him hours, though he wouldn’t admit it
Midorima wasn’t one to make sly moves on you during practices, even though Takao kept telling him to do so
So you often took initiative through random hugs and kisses on his cheek while he explained something to you
No matter how many times you do it, he’d always be flustered and begin to stutter
He would lecture you about it though, even though he liked it
“Y/N, I’m trying to teach you, have some control.”
“Sorry, Coach.” (He insisted you call him coach)
His training was pretty tough to be honest, but you expected nothing less from someone who pours his heart into everything he does
It was no surprise that you got into the team after his intense training
However, when you told him he gave you the biggest hug followed by kisses all over your face
“I knew you could do it,” he smiled.
“Thank you, Shintaro.”
Aomine
Aomine thought you were joking when you told him that you wanted to learn basketball
But when he realised you were serious, he immediately got fired up
He definitely wasn’t going to take it easy on you while he taught you though
He’d tease you from time to time when you’d mess something up, but that was often followed by him going all soft and correcting you with no regard for personal space
There were many times where this would lead to a mini-makeout session because he just couldn’t help it
Once you were familiar with the basics, he would almost only play one-on-ones with you, which was awfully frustrating because he’d beat you every time
Whenever he’d notice you getting frustrated, he’d stop the game and begin explaining what you’re doing wrong
Every once in a while you’d break through his defense and score, which would make you so happy that it made Aomine want to let you score all the time
But he didn’t, because he knew that you’d notice immediately and get mad
You were a quick learner, and you were a bit athletic too, so it was no surprise that practicing with Aomine incredibly increased your skill
You were not only put on the basketball team, but you were also on the starting lineup
When you told Aomine, he pulled you into a hug with a large smile spread across his otherwise grumpy face
He didn’t hesitate to kiss you as well
“That’s my Y/N!” He grinned triumphantly.
“It’s all thanks to you, Daiki.”
“Well, duh, I’m an amazing teacher.”
Murasakibara
“But why would you want to do that? It’s so tiring.”
“I thought it would be nice to learn, considering that it’s all you do,” you told him.
After some convincing, he agreed to teaching you to play
He was a pretty laid back teacher, though his explanations weren’t exactly the best
“Shooting is easy, see,”
He would proceed to do a dunk like it was nothing
“Atsushi, I’m a beginner and you’re also twice my height, I can’t just do that.”
He’d eventually teach you how to shoot though, and he’d wrap his long arms around you
Whenever he’d do that, he’d get distracted and just begin to hug you
“This is tiring, can’t we just cuddle all day?” He mumbled
His teaching was very slow paced because he’d constantly be distracted
One of his exercises was for you to steal the ball from him, where he just teased you by holding the ball high up where you couldn’t reach
He did end up having a lot of fun with you, even though he didn’t admit it
So when you told him that he didn’t have to teach you anymore because you got into the team, he got clingy and sad
“No I want to play with you more, Y/N-chin.”
“Weren’t you always complaining how it was tiring?”
“Yeah, but I still liked being with you,” he pouted as he wrapped his arms around you
So he continued to play with you every now and then when you didn’t have practice
He’d always go to your games, without fail, and he’d even bring your favourite snacks with him, which he’d give you afterwords
He’d even skip practice if the times of your games overlapped with it
He’s your #1 supporter no matter what
Akashi
He would be over the moon when you tell him that you want him to teach you
He’d get the keys to the gym so that the two of you can play together after his practice
An extremely good and efficient teacher, so it was easy for you to get a hang of things quickly
Akashi is incredibly smooth when he wants to make a move on you
He didn’t do it too often, because he didn’t want to distract you too much
But when he’d be correcting your form from behind you, he’d get really close to you and whisper in your ear, “like this”
You’d feel tingles down your spine, and he’d kiss your neck
And he’d just go back to explaining as if nothing even happened
It was no surprise that you made the team after Akashi teaching you
He still became really happy when you told him that he immediately pulled you in close and kissed you
You could feel his smile against your lips and it was adorable
“I’m proud of you, Y/N,” he said softly as he pulled away
He took you out for a nice dinner to celebrate
The two of you would often stay back at school for a bit longer to practice together even after you got on the team because you still wanted him to teach you more
You also enjoyed spending so much time with him, and there was no doubt he felt the same

Hi! If you're up for it can I request a scenario for Dazai where the female reader loses a bet with her friends (let's say over a game, fell free to choose the game or sport) and now she has to confess to him in front of the whole agency wearing a sexy bunny costume. She's super shy and nervous but has to do it BC she's true to her word! Dazai's as well as the agency members reactions as well please! Thanks a lot I hope you like this request enough to write it(✿^‿^)
[I cannot express in words just how much fun I had while writing this lmao xD thank you so much for the request]
Of Costumes and Confessions (Dazai Osamu)
Tumblr media
“Naomi, please, I’m begging you.” You pleaded to her for the umpteenth time, “Don’t make me do this.”
“A bet is a bet, (y/n).” she laughed, “Plus, I’m really tired of you silently pining away after Dazai – san.”
“Silently pi – “, you let out an indignant cry, “No, I absolutely am not!”’
She rolled her eyes, “Sure, and the sky isn’t blue…Come on, (y/n)! You know you look smoking in that outfit!”
“That’s not what this is about!” you huffed, then sighed in resignation.
You and Naomi were standing in the storage room of the agency, dusty files piled up on all the shelves around you, and you were hoping against hope somebody wouldn’t need anything from here right at the moment.
You looked down at yourself skeptically. The costume you wee wearing was made of a shiny black velvet, a tight-fitting dress that ended just below your butt, cinched at the waist and with a sweetheart neckline. Sheer black stockings adorned your otherwise bare legs, feet clad in black stiletto heels. On your head, you wore a black hairband with bunny ears attached to it.
“Where the fuck did you even get this ridiculous costume?” you fumed at Naomi, “It’s the most indecent thing I’ve ever seen in my life!”
She pouted, “I have my sources…Now, quit whining and go out there already!”
She pushed you slightly and you let out a yelp, then looked at pleadingly once more, as a last-ditch attempt to get here to let you off the hook. Naomi’s expression didn’t change, and you sighed.
This bet was a mistake. Scratch that, my life was a mistake.
Out there, the main office of the agency was swarming with your colleagues. Kunikida was probably storming through paperwork, Ranpo lazing around somewhere, and the rest busy with their own chores. And worst of all, Dazai was there, probably sprawled on the couch, but he was there. You got a slightly sick feeling in your stomach.
Taking a deep breath, you braced yourself, sneaking out of the storage room as stealthily as you could and making your way towards the office. Naomi followed you, and you stopped just outside the door. Come on, (y/n). What’s the worst that could happen?
Just the first couple of answers that came to your mind horrified you so much that you reflexively sprang into action.
The door creaked open, and it took everyone a while to notice you standing there. Once they did, though, a hushed silence fell upon the entire room. With your face already flaming red and hot, you forced yourself to take a look around.
Atsushi’s face was just as red as yours, and he was trying and failing not to look at you, Kunikida’s mouth was hanging open, an utmost confused expression on his face, Jun’ichiro looked flustered beyond belief, while Kenji just looked like he was about to compliment you. Dazai, however, was lying face down on the couch, refusing to budge.
It was only when Yosano let out a low whistle at you that he turned around. And once he did, his jaw almost dropped to the floor.
You took another deep breath, trying not to hyperventilate. Okay, compartmentalize. Imagine nobody’s here. Imagine they have all disappeared. God, I wouldn’t mind disappearing myself.
Your heels clicked loudly on the floor as you stalked over to Dazai, face still burning in embarrassment. He looked up at you, a starstruck expression on his face.
“Holy….shit.” he whistled slightly, looking up at you with wide starstruck eyes, “Damn.”
You squeezed your eyes shut for a second before opening them again. You’re not done yet.
“Dazai!” you said quickly, voice too high and loud, and he almost got startled.
“Yes!”
“I need to tell you s-something.” You say looking down at your feet and unconsciously tugging down the hem of your too-short dress.
He smirked at you suggestively, shamelessly looking you up and down, “Of course, how can I deny you anything when you look like that, sweetheart?”
“Shut up.”
“But I – “
“Shut up and listen to me. I like you!”
You could hear Naomi slightly cheering in the background. There, you wanted to scream, I said it! Can I please just dig a hole and bury myself in it already?
Dazai immediately sprang up from the couch, hands clasped together and eyes wide in wonder, all mock and for show, obviously. “Do my ears deceive me? What is this that am I hearing? You’re here to confess your undying love to me!?”
You rolled your eyes slightly, mumbling, “That’s not…quite what I said.”
“But it’s exactly what you meant, isn’t it?” he trilled, clasping your hands in his own, “And you donned this ravishing look all for me? How can I ever say no when you look so smoking hot? Oh, I have never seen anything more beautiful, I think I might just die!”
“That’s enough, you two.” Kunikida finally interrupted, coughing awkwardly and refusing to look even in your general vicinity, “Take this elsewhere!”
Gladly, you wanted to say, but Dazai beat you to it. “That’s right, people.” He said, trying to sound serious, “Move along, nothing to see her. Just my darling (y/n) wearing the sexiest bunny costume I’ve ever seen, just to impress me…Oh my, I think I’m melting again.”
It didn’t take long for the both of you to be kicked out after that. You rushed back into the storage room, desperately trying to hide yourself away until you could change back.
“Wait! My fairytale bunny princess! Don’t leave me now!” Dazai called out, following after you. Then he smirked, “Can’t believe you really agreed to such a bet.”
“Whatever. Now get out, I need to cha –“ you stopped midsentence, frowning, “…Wait, what? How do you know about that?”
He smirked, still shamelessly ogling you, “Well, I may or may not have bribed Naomi to place a bet with you about this…”
“What!?”
“Come on, it’s not like your crush on me wasn’t glaringly obvious, and since I more than just reciprocate your feeling…” he trailed off purposely, before his face lit up with a suggestive grin, “Those bunny ears really suit you, you know?”
Your face heats up even more, though from shame, anger, or embarrassment, you couldn’t tell. Most likely, it was all of those. You punched him in the chest, “I cannot believe you!”
He laughed, “Oh, come on! You cannot really blame me when you look this sexy, standing here in that costume like a - .”
“Shut up.”
“Although, in all fairness, I was the one who picked it out…”
“Shut up! …Oh my God, what!?’
“Alright, fine! I’m sorry.” He laughed, not sounding sorry at all. That smug smirk still sat on his face and you wanted nothing more than to punch it off.
You scowled, “I hate you.”
He smiled at you, sickly sweet, “I love you too.”
