#Things I almost remember AU

I posted about a UU headcannon about how the invis players would have fun and I ended up writing a drabble about it. This is about my UU oc’s and happens later in the storyline. Featuring Coralsky and Pure_Clarity. Hope you enjoy :>

“This has been the most chaotic and stressful experience in I’ve had in literal years, and yet I’m still enjoying myself more than I have ever.” Clarity said, plopping down on a spot near the bank of the stream. “I should fucking think so. We’ve nearly died at least two times every other day.” Cors gave him an eye roll as they set down some of their gear mainly to alleviate some of the soreness that came with carrying multiple full shulkers at a time. Nightfall was always a much needed time to rest during their journey.

A burning question caught alight in their mind as they thought through more of the implications of Clarity’s previous words. “Besides, going on missions and sleeping what did you do in the mafia when you had free time?” Cors knew that the mafia was restrictive and overbearing, but to think that nobody did anything for fun? That just wasn’t possible. “If I’m being honest we didn’t do much for fun or leisure… well we did have this one thing. But it’s kind of hard to explain.” Clarity said gazing up to meet Cors as he sat next to him. “Go ahead it’s not like anyone would find us at this hour.”

“So I’m going to assume you know what a waltz is, I don’t think you’re that uncultured.” Clarity said with grin “Rude but go on.” Stifling a chuckle he continued. “ Well basically we’d all go to where ever had the most free empty space at the time. Hold out whatever our identifying item was before starting the dance. We’d all pair up and whatever poor soul who’d have to sit out would start the music and give cues.” Cors listened intently as Clarity went on, only to be hung up on one thing. " How did the higher ranks let you all do all of this?”

“They were usually asleep or they joined in so we didn’t have to worry about that, so if I can continue after you so rudely interrupted.” He said shooting a playful glare at Cors. They brushed them off and gestured them to continue.

“Thank you, the caller would play the music after everyone put away everything besides their helmet if you were lead or boots if you were following. The whole goal of everything was to try to end up with whoever you started with at the end of each song. Sometimes it would end perfectly and other times not so much.” Clarity said looking off fondly for a moment as if remembering something nostalgic. “It was pretty much the only thing I ever enjoyed in that godforsaken place.”

“Why don’t we do it now then?” Cors barely registered what they said as the words left their mouth. “I mean we don’t have to but if you’d like to we can,” That fuck boy charismatic persona Cors loved playing slip for a moment showing the vulnerability underneath. “Yeah we could, it won’t be the same obviously, but I don’t think you have a jukebox do you?” No, he didn’t and he shouldn’t waste diamonds, but the way the moonlight glinted in Clarity’s dark eyes made them forget everything else. “No but I can make one.”

After quickly crafting a jukebox and finding the singular music disc they had buried somewhere in a skulker. Cors cleared away a spot for them to dance as Clarity got the music to play. “How did you even manage to find creator? I thought all of these belong to the mafia.” The record came to life with a quiet start accounting for its age, but it works so that was all that mattered.

“Well they did but a certain client of mine happened to have one they lost.” The words not said filled in the rest. “I’ll just leave it at that.” Clarity gave Cors a bow taking their hand in his, “I do hope you know how to dance, since I don’t plan on going slow.” Cors accepted their hand with an eye roll but nonetheless. “The same goes for you, I don’t plan on having to pick you up from the dirt.”

The music began slightly slower allowing for its dancer to adjust to the tempo and begin keeping count. Cors could have never anticipated this would happen,but he certainly wasn’t apposed to it. Waltzing with Clarity under the moonlight felt more like a dream than it did reality. Cors catching his boot on the ground below and nearly falling, on the other hand certainly felt real. In one quick movement they were scoped right back into the rhythm by Clarity saving them with a dip. “I thought you said you were good at this and look at now you.” Cors could swear up and down that the red blush that dusted his face and the tips of his ears was merely from exhaustion or embarrassment. Even though they themselves knew it was a bold faced lie.

“Shut up, if you were a better lead I’d have never tripped in the first place.” Clarity roles his eyes at the salty tone Cors took on. “Maybe if you just trust me to guide you, then I’d be able to help us avoid stuff like that.” Something so sweetly sincere lie under those words. A promise to him that he could put his life in Clarity’s hands without a doubt. With all the trust of a hurt wild animal Cors let himself fully rely on Clarity for direction. “You might hate for this but you’ll hear me out.” Another turn into hopefully not a tree, and another possibly dangerous idea from Clarity.

“Alright what is it?” Cors felt like they would to regret agreeing to whatever he was about to say, but it was too late to take it back. “What if I spin you every time we would have changed partners?” The rhythm that Clarity had led them into was a comfort to them, yet it would be fun to try something different. “ Fuck it why not, sounds fun.” Cors could live a little when they wanted to. On the crescendo of the song Clarity took the hand that was on his shoulder and effortlessly spun him around despite the grass and dirt.

“Why can’t you be this graceful when we’re fighting people?” Cors said with a sardonic smile, “I could be, but where’s the fun it that.” He leaned in a bit closer to them closing some of their earlier distance. “Or maybe it’s who wants me to be all graceful and elegant,” They were so mad by how Clarity giggled at their reaction. “Bro shut up.”

Their dance continued just smoothly as before, gliding as best they could in the grass, each turn and spin done with confidence. It may have been minute, it could have been hours but the last swells rang out into the night as Clarity did one final dip right as the song ended. Cors focused on Clarity letting everything else fall into the background. The majority of his face was painted red, the moonlight caught on the blonde undyed roots of his hair. The stress of all he had been put through was shown in the bags under his eyes. And yet Cors felt like he had never seen anyone more beautiful.

However every good moment must end, and theirs was not an exception; Clarity slowly let go of them and backed away with an indescribable emotion on their face. “That was really nice, we should dance again someday.” Even with the eyltra limiting his wings mobility Cors still noticed how the flared out slightly. “Yeah it was, and to be honest you were a really good partner.” Their heart was still racing and their breath was still short even after they stopped for some unknown reason. “I’m going to get everything set up for bed. Try not to be killed in the meantime.” Clarity ran into the night only pausing to look back at Cors. “Aren’t you going to?” And as if nothing happened Cors was back with Clarity on the banks of the stream.

tfone au where OP is created as the last of the primes but way after them, a sparkling born at what were thought to be the last days of the war against the quintessons, the beginning of a new generation of peace after eons of war. a child meant to be loved and raised knowing nothing of war nor sacrifice.

he's kept mostly out of the spotlight by his siblings, who don't wish to expose him to everyone's optics so young, and want to wait until the war is done and over to properly introduce him to their people.

except of course the primes are betrayed and murdered by sentinel, the war is lost and everyone who knows and cared for the truth is either banished or outright killed in order to suppress it.

and the high guard, the ones the primes trusted the most, the ones that were supposed to protect them, the ones who failed in their most important duty, have to make a choice. to take the last prime, their last hope, with them to the surface, a hostile environment where there's little to no supplies and where they'll be hunted down by both sentinel and the quintessons as the biggest threat to their regimen.

or hide him in plain sight. place him where sentinel won't think to look for him. one more sparkling among many. and hope it will be enough to keep him alive. pray to primus that he'll protect his last child long enough for them to come back for him when it's safer (even if most of them have already lost their faith on him when he allowed the rest of his children to be massacred like that)

they almost lose their resolve when they realize they will have to take the little one's cog away in order to make him blend in with the rest of the newborns (and oh do they burn with murderous intent when they see what sentinel has done to their people but it's not the time yet-) but in the end they decide an impaired little prime is better than a dead one.

and so in the chaos of thirteen dead primes and a sudden energon crisis, a little sparkling who very few mechs really knew about and even fewer had seen completely vanishes. and in the depths of iacon a mech in charge of a new batch of newborns scratches their helm in confusion as they realize they must have miscounted the first time.

optimus prime is quietly erased from any official records by sentinel, written off as dead when they find a sparkling's frame mangled beyond recognition after an attack on the base of those rebels that insist on being a thorn on his side. killing the sparkling hadn't been precisely in his plans, he probably could've found some use for it after all, but he's not particularly upset about it either.

and orion pax grows up with an ache on his spark that tells him he's missing something far more important than a t-cog and dreams of gentle and loving hands, cradling him against the frames of mechs he cannot recall the faces of.

Despite how much I suffered making my last isat au Aris sprite redraw, I decided to do it again and once again went through hell doing it. There’s like a billion mistakes in this (such as her having the wrong arm rip) but at the end of the day I’m still happy with how it turned out :]

the angst in your zombie au bREAKS MY HEART INTO PIECES (I LOVE IT VERY MUCH)

okay, okay, so!! if the kagebros got separated from reigen and teru when mob is still fine, i imagine that their reunion would be hEARTWRENCHING also, i'm a bit curious, would mob still be able to recognize teru and reigen? or would he thought about them as strangers?

(tbh, following your lore, i imagine mob would act a similarly like nezuko from demon slayer? but instead of little hums, his zombie sounds would more like babbling and incoherent mumbles :"D)

the reunion is fuckin AWFUL man it's SO gut-wrenching. both reigen and teru feared this for Months while looking for the brothers; pretty much the worst case scenario was that mob or ritsu or Both turned—a lot of humans prefer death over being a zombie any day, so the idea of ritsu or mob having to go through that and wander around aimlessly until starvation or smth else gets them,,,

it hurts them so much to think about. teru forces himself not to dwell on it and he's pretty good at that but reigen thinks abt it a lot and he's honestly not sure what scenario is worse. best case is that they're both alive and unturned, obviously, but what's the worst case? you'd think it's both of them getting killed, or turning, but reigen also knows that if One of them got killed/turned, the other would probably lose their mind, especially if they had to watch. the fact that they're kids makes this all three times worse and reigen has to act like he's Not worrying himself sick over the brothers while he tries to keep teru in high spirits

the reunion itself is rly fuckin gut-wrenching for them. they see mob from afar, wandered off just a bit from ritsu and tome who are just around the bend looting a place, and they book it bc ofc they do, it's mob!! but then they see how pale he is, and when he turns around they don't see that light in his eyes that's usually there and the red is dulled and dead looking,, teru almost moves in for a hug before he realizes mob looks vastly different when he Rly takes him in, and mob doesn't rly react too much besides staring at them blankly. the obvious answer is almost too horrifying to even consider, so it takes them a minute to rly,,realize what's going on

tome comes around the bend and shouts, cuz when humans and zombies mix it's usually guns pointed at zombie heads. ritsu comes running out after her and when he sees reigen and teru his thoughts go, in order: holy shit is that reigen and tero ohmygod oh my god they're alive they're alive ohmy god i could fucking cry, and ohmy god they see shige ohno oh no oh no

ritsu sounds like a lunatic when he pulls mob away from them on instinct and says that he's safe to be around and that he's "still him" and he's "not gone" and he's very aware of that. he's very, intimately aware that he sounds fuckin crazy, bc ofc he does, this is what all the crazy people in zombie movies sound like. but he doesn't care, he doesn't care if reigen or teru dismiss him as nuts—he has to make them understand that his brother is still in there somewhere

and yeah, they both kinda think that ritsu's lost his marbles a little bit, but while teru is focused on that and the fact that mob doesn't look like he's rly tuned into Anything that's happening rn, reigen is a bit more focused on the fact that both ritsu and mob look awful? they're both very skinny and very dirty, obviously barely scraping by. they're cut up and ritsu's jacket is basically blood and dirt with a little bit of green fabric mixed in. and just by the look in ritsu's eyes, reigen can tell, man ... reigen can tell ritsu is like.not okay at this point he's kinda lost it.

i think the most painful thing about this whole reunion in general is that later that night, when reigen and teru r finally like ok we get it he's,, he's still mob. we believe you (they want to believe him... [they Do believe him, later, wholeheartedly]) and they settle down someplace safe, teru asks how long mob's been like this. and ritsu has to answer "since we got separated" and they both have that to stew over while everybody else sleeps

they realize that ritsu likely watched mob turn, watched the entire process, and that process takes a long time. it's at least a week of deteriorating motor functions and cognitive skill, and the fact that ritsu stayed for that to keep mob company is .ough. and it doesn't end there bc ritsu obviously stayed after that too

given how these things usually go, ritsu probably did think about killing mob. it probably did cross his mind, bc that's basically what everybody's been told to do. kill them before they have a chance to do any more damage. and it's obvious that ritsu did not have it in him

ritsu not only did not have it in him to kill him, he didn't even have it in him to leave him there. the kid fucking took him with him. a zombie. and he's somehow made it work, for months. and the next few days are filled with watching him still treat mob like a brother and take care of him and gently steer him away from a bird he tries to follow down the wrong street.ritsu is as gentle and kind as he's ever been with his brother. and even tho they're both hungry and tired and barely making it, ritsu is doing a rly good job taking care of mob with what he's been given

the kid obviously wholeheartedly believes in a cure and that mob is still There. he's gone through the trouble to take care of him, and the grief of continuously seeing a loved one that many would consider effectively dead, to get him that cure. to get him his brother back. and mob doesn't seem to be in any pain or distress, so reigen and teru think that this path ritsu has followed is probably infinitely kinder than the mercy kill method they've been taught to do

i think they have a new respect for ritsu, after that reunion

He was kind of universally hated in the books, apparently becoming extremely unlikeable after he got Stung

which is honestly so sad. What he saw drove him slightly insane and he couldn’t handle it and shut down.
