Julie and the Phantoms Song Recs: McFly Songs that are Sunset Curve/JATP Coded
So, McFly are a big British pop/rock band that have been around since 2003, and are still releasing music and touring at the time of writing in 2024. I saw them perform live in 2023, and loved it. 💖 That tour was to celebrate the release of the most recent album (at the time of writing) - Power To Play - and listening to that album immediately gave me Sunset Curve vibes, and then I subsequently realised that they had been making Sunset Curve/JATP-coded songs throughout their whole career. 🥺💖
Edit: So, McFly are really popular in Brazil, and they released a song with popular Brazilian band Fresno in 2023 as part of the Power To Play album - Broken By You... and I've just discovered that Fresno actually had a cameo in Julie e os Fantasmas (the original Brazilian show that Julie and the Phantoms was adapted from) in episode 3, so this whole post has gained a lot more validity in a '6 degrees of separation' kind of way 😍👏
youtube
I wanted to make a list of songs that I could see Sunset Curve/JATP performing/recording for their potential albums, some that just remind me of the boys, and some fun gems in between - these are all my personal preferences/opinions, so you may think differently, but here is the current tracklist in no particular order. (All with YouTube links of varying quality since a lot of the music videos/live performances give Sunset Curve/JATP vibes too IMO. All [except one] of these songs are also on Spotify etc.):
🎶 God of Rock & Roll (link here) (Screams Sunset Curve for me)
🎶 Where Did All The Guitars Go? (link here) (Also screams Sunset Curve for me)
🎶 Air Guitar (as McBusted with Busted) (link here) (Always reminded me of when the boys realised that people could see them play with Julie)
🎶 Ghostbusters (Live cover of song by Ray Parker Jr.) (link here) (On Youtube, but sadly not on streaming) (Maybe a bonus/hidden track on the album or they would exclusively play live at the gigs - I couldn't not share it because it's awesome from start to finish, and the boys would totally cover it as a joke 👻Also, imagine the boys getting the crowd to do call-and-response with them - iconic 😍)
🎶 I'll Be Ok (link here) (Gives me vibes of the boys helping each other through their crappy family lives in the 90s 🥺)
🎶 Five Colours In Her Hair (link here) (The song written during a jam session - the boys just having a laugh)
🎶 Make It Out Alive (link here) (As soon as I first heard this, the angst and melodrama of the song gave me vibes of the boys being cursed and under Caleb's control at the HGC 🥺)
🎶 Route 55 (link here) (A song all about friends having a great time together during an endless summer)
🎶 Don't Stop Me Now (Charity single cover of Queen) (link here) (They would have totally covered Queen during their jam sessions - respecting some of the best but putting their own fun spin on things 😂)
🎶 Transylvania (link here) (This song always gives me HGC vibes - so gothic and melodramatic, and Dougie's vocals in the chorus?? 😍)
🎶 Party Girl (link here) (Such a guilty pleasure song of mine~ This music video is slightly NSFW since it contains clips of the band's infamous vampire-themed short film that they all starred in 2010 to promote their album at the time [which even the band realise was a bad idea in hindsight, since it was clearly riding the Twilight wave]... but! Listening to this song also gives me ideas for a possible evil Julie possessed/controlled by Caleb - maybe sometime I will write them down~ 👀)
🎶Tonight Is The Night (link here) (A spiritual sequel to I'll Be Ok in my mind - when the boys realise that they're not really okay and need to ask for help to process all the shit that has happened to them - think what Luke went through in Unsaid Emily [and what we presume Alex and Reggie would go through in subsequent seasons] and the boys helping each other through it 🥺)
🎶 Too Close For Comfort (link here) (The obligatory break-up song on an album, and this performed live is everything - just heartbreaking 🥺)
🎶 Umbrella (Live cover of song by Rihanna) (link here) (Julie gives the boys a lesson in popular music during the 25 years that they've been dead, and they decide to surprise her with a fun rock cover of Umbrella to cheer her up one day)
🎶 The Heart Never Lies (link here) (The dramatic love song on an album that is really about the band's bond and sticking together through thick and thin)
🎶 Falling In Love (link here) (The love song that has a music video full of tour footage, which always make me think of the boys in Sunset Curve absolutely loving playing for a crowd, and the bridge/quiet part of the song giving the vibe of Julie, Luke, Alex and Reggie cherishing the moment at the end of Stand Tall before the boys cross over 🥺)
🎶 One For The Radio (link here) (The defiant song for everyone who dismissed Sunset Curve and JATP - I could imagine this as a song written in response to either record companies who wouldn't sign Sunset Curve/JATP, Bobby/Trevor or Caleb. It also gives me vibes of the boys appearing back onto the stage of the Orpheum to perform Stand Tall with Julie - defiant celebration)
🎶 Lies (link here) (The break-up song that gives me vibes of the boys standing up to Caleb. Also is it just me, or does Tom [you can see him at around 0:43 in the video] give Luke vibes in his styling? 😍)
🎶 Forever's Not Enough (link here) (The true love song that Luke writes for Julie, but will never admit that it's for her because he makes the lyrics vague enough 💖)

Power Metal Favorites
As @starstruckbyacomet and I were talking rock and metal lately, I suggested starting with power metal to get a foot into the metal genre if you're genuinely interested. So, here's my favorites to start from!
Of course we're gonna begin with Blind Guardian. I love Hansi, what can I say. And I think this video gives a good glimpse into their different styles - so here is, once again, the legendary Wacken video.
youtube
Now to my first metal love, Helloween. They had their ups and downs and various singers over the years, and while they're very melodic now, they used to be quite raw in their beginning. As for their themes, well.... they changed and changed ... here's one of their "easier" songs, I'd say:
youtube
Now we're digging into history. War has always been a popular theme in power metal, and Sabaton (along with Civil War, a band formed from former members of Sabaton) are probably the masters of that theme. There's so many Sabaton songs I would love to recommend, but since I'm still trying to do a soft introduction, I will give you 1916. Because it has a great video, yes, but also because it's one of the absolute greatest cover versions of all time. I stand by that.
youtube
I think what we may conclude so far is that power metal not only has catchy tunes, it has awesome singers. And that's why we can't miss Kamelot in this list. If you like this, I strongly recommend stalking @lightineventide for more 😂
youtube
So far this all seems harmless, right? What's with the themes? Well. Do you like vampires and werewolves? Twisted clerical symbols? Powerwolf is your band. (And they are SO much fun!)
youtube
And since I couldn't stop talking about the Visions of Atlantis concert I went to, yeah, of course we can't dismiss pirate metal. I'm not even talking Alestorm and stuff.
youtube
Next is Avantasia, which is a project of Tobias Sammet gathering musicians for songs and concept albums. And frankly its the closest I could get to the "mystery" theme you said you liked ;)
youtube
Rhapsody of Fire is another of those fantasy themed bands, but they're the... well, dramatic kind. It's bordering on cheesy often, frankly, but their singer? Ah my god I love him.
youtube
Now, I feel that those were the most obvious (at least for people into power metal). There are so many more to check out, even the ones I don't like (Dragonforce, Grave Digger) or find rather mediocre (Hammerfall). Let me just say Gloryhammer (especially the newer songs with Sozos Michael), Stratovarius, Running Wild, Rage, Pentakill, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Sonata Arctica, Brothers of Metal, Pyramaze, Virgin Steele... and those are really only a few and the more known once, in my opinion.
Feel free to add lesser known bands to this post, folks!

Funniest and most illogical comment from CultLH today regarding Puma:
Puma left Mercedes and went to Ferrari with LH and that Adidas isn’t that big and has nothing compared to Puma…
I am sorry but I can’t 😂
Like Puma is with Ferrari for years 😂 and I would (personally) argue that Adidas at least in Germany is a way bigger deal than Puma. I don’t k ow about other countries but Puma is not viewed as „cool“ in Germany and it’s like many Nike and Adidas that are „in“ (at least where I live 😂)
But yeah apparently Ferrari drove „naked“ the last few years 😂
Well that's the cult for you! Zero literacy and knowledge about oneself!
Besides the deal between Adidas and Mercedes is worth more than the Puma and Tommy Hilfiger deal combined. According to the news, the deal is worth 30 mio.
You can also see that it is worth more because in a span of less than a month, there is THIS much content.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1aa16764c50b622ab2378b4d9a6c78bd/fe590349e4525dcf-32/s540x810/347c6788a04f5648478358e2b88b549743ca31f0.jpg)

None of these are the soft marketing but in my opinion, can already be considered a hard marketing (especially on their campaigns with George — because hey that Adidas logo is plastered EVERYWHERE)
And yeah in my country(s ig since I have both citizenship, somewhere around the west europe part), Adidas is (sorry) more popular. You honestly don't have to be european to recognize that. I think that's obvious everywhere else.
Also, Adidas has been a prominent figure in a lot of well-known football association/clubs. National teams : DfB, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Japan, Argentina, etc. Clubs : Man United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, AS Roma, Juventus, Bayern München, Schalke 04, Ajax, Celtic, Besiktas, Boca Juniors, and many more.
So yeah judging by their portfolio and the list of these popular guys (I took football as an example because it's one of the most prominent and relevant sports in Europe and the sport that also shaped Adidas as a brand too) it's obvious that Adidas got THE dawg. I'm very appreciative of what Puma has done for George Russell. They entrusted George so much and you CANNOT deny the fact that Puma helped George establish himself with the ambassadorship, publicize him alongside many prominent media companies, create nice campaigns and collaborations for him, and also entrust him to join the Puma Football launch as a part of the line up despite him being an F1 driver not a football player. For me, that opens so many doors and sets the base for George to his Adidas partnership and also for Adidas to George as their model (Adidas will obviously look at what Puma has done with George as a reference) so yeah for me, Puma is not as big as Adidas but I'm forever grateful they gave so much opportunities for George (especially that collab with Puma Football since it's a great opportunity to show how versatile George is and how he can do PR for different sports)
I won't comment much on Puma's journey with Ferrari because I don't give a fuck about anything Ferrari and their whole institution. But yeah that's just how CultLH are. For now, they're happy with Ferrari so obviously they're going to "love" them so much and say they're better. Tomorrow? Who knows. No offence, Ferrari can collaborate with the likes of lesser known brands in sports and CultLH will do anything to call the likes of Puma/Nike/Adidas the smaller and irrelevant company 🤣🤣 Ignore them for me anon. They're not that dumb but they like to convince themselves so hard.

hi :3
hiii thank u for playing :3
(send me an ask for the writers truth & dare ask game!)
🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
AROMANTIC CALEB WIDOGAST 🗣️🗣️🗣️ he just fucking loves his friends exactly the way he loves them and he loves some friends a little differently, of course, but that's because you always have to love everybody a little differently. and he never stops loving anybody. literally i am always about aromantic caleb widogast
🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character
this is the most nothing opinion ever but it popped into my head first so: i really don't think essek wears leggings. i think he likes to wear pants. he WOULD wear long johns though.
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
this isn't quite a "topic" but i did use various quotes from german mtg cards for a critrole fic a little while ago - i know a little german but not enough to feel confident making up the kind of stuff i think the wizards get up to, and i was too lazy to find someone to properly proofread it for me 😂
🏜️ ⇢ what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
anything where the commentator has identified me as the author, e.g. things like "i always love your fics for [X] pairing" or "i was wondering how you might approach [Y] concept when it's so different from your other fics"! it's just very nice to feel like someone can recognize me in the sea of faces online 🤗
🎨 ⇢ link your favourite piece of fanart and explain why you like it
i've had this art by @danikatze as my phone background for years and it still makes me so happy to see it every single day 🥹 they're just so .. entangled and happy and in love even though they're obviously already extremely in The Bad Times. i'm just. at least they had each other, y'know?

Do you subscribe to the notion that Scully had a punk phase? If so, when? If not, what style do you think she would like or may have taken up? I could ask the same for Mulder— do you have any preconceived notions of his stylistic choices that we may not have been shown in the show?
- Your Secret Santa!
Hi Secret Santa! I hope you are ready for a TED talk on the one million ways I can imagine Scully's fashion life 😂 First of all, I'm not generally a person with any one strong head canon about most things, so I enjoy it a lot of different ways in fics and art! I can promise you that if you go for whatever style choice feels right to you, I'm going to absolutely love it!! With that being said, I can definitely imagine Scully having had a punk phase, maybe in high school but especially in college. And I think the punk Scully fics and art are always super cute and fun! I could see her being someone whose "teenage rebellion" comes a little late, because canonically she's such a high achiever but also doesn't shy away from making choices her family doesn't understand or support. Like maybe as a teen military brat she just kind of didn't rock the boat but once she's off at college she does all of the style/identity experimentation she didn't do at home yet. In canon she's generally pretty straight-laced in terms of her style, but we do see some examples of her in earlier seasons in like... more fun, put-together casual or casual dressy clothes. So I could also imagine her being one of those people who seem kind of normcore at first glance but as you get to know them, you discover that they're super weird (compliment), actually, it's just lightly disguised by a messy bun, a stanley, and a girlypop fleece (recent era lol, so translated to 80s or 90s just like slightly preppy conservative-casual basics? Not cutting edge or super-duper trendy but also well within the general swath of what was common/popular at the time). I feel like the moire taffeta prom dress is an example of this lolll but 1) that was high school and 2) I'm always in full support of ignoring canon and just vibing however we want to! I do think that the workplace (if it's Quantico or Hoover) isn't really a place she shows her freak (in terms of fashion at least lol) and honestly I think the combo of early 90s + Scully intentionally trying to seem older and more professional at her job can justify a lot of her early season work fashions. Re: Mulder, my hottest take/unpopular opinion is that Mulder's canonical ties aren't actually terrible lmao! For the most part, they're pretty good quality ties that a slightly fashionable guy in the early 90s would have grabbed at a Nordstrom (department store) or whatever and felt pleased with his choices 😂 I see him in general as someone who is a little vain about his appearance; he does take some care with his clothes (I accept the Armani suits they put DD in as fact ahaha), and I do think he kind of wants to be/feel a little bit cool (poor boy lol). Whatever he's wearing when he's younger, I think it probably betrays some striving. Like, he's Trying™️. I also get a lot of joy out of imagining him as an absurd graphic tee guy (esp in AUs but sometimes in other contexts too, goofy cryptid t-shirts, et cetera). He definitely owns some novelty boxers lol. I also think he's the kind of guy who just seems a little cleancut no matter how edgy he tries to be. I headcanon him coming from money based on canon clues (the Martha's Vineyard and multiple properties of it all), but I could imagine him feeling self-conscious about that/trying to distance himself from it a bit when he's younger. Depends on the era/setting I guess, but it's fun to imagine younger him with :spins wheel: floppy hair and a ratty sweater but still just emanating Sad New England Wealthy Puppy Dog Boy against all of his better efforts 😂😂😂 Oh my gosh, I'm sorry for writing you an entire essay! You're the best, Secret Santa! Please do whatever you feel inspired to do and know that I will love it all!! <3 <3 <3

I’m being sincere when I ask this—why is there this blame placed on straight women for the lack of lesbian content and for the popularity of gay male ships? If straight women were truly the cause of this, wouldn’t we see more popular straight ships or Y/N straight ships than gay male ships? Blaming straight women for the lack of lesbian content doesn’t make sense and is, in my opinion, one of the most unfair accusations.
No one is "blaming" anyone for anything. I'm drawing a basic, very logical conclusion. If you're reading "blame" into my post, that may be you being defensive about the topic and bringing personal baggage to this discussion.
It's just a basic fact that people write romantic/shipping fics about things that they're romantically and sexually attracted to. Straight women are attracted to men. They like to write about men. They like to write about men sleeping with other men because dude on dude is hot to straight women the same way girl on girl is hot to straight dudes. I'm not judging; it is what it is! People are allowed to find things sexy!
There are many factors why straight ships are less prevalent than mlm ships (not the least of which is no motivation for female writers to do the work of fleshing out poorly written female characters because they have no sexual fascinations with those women), but I assure you, "I want to see even more men in the fics I read" is a massive factor driving the popularity of mlm ships above straight ships. As a female reader, you have no competition for sexual access to the men if there are no relevant women in the fic! (Obviously, the topic of shipping dynamics is quite complex, but I already wrote a literal academic essay on it; I won't repeat myself.)
I'd argue that there are, in fact, tons of straight YN/reader insert fic writers, but they're written on very diffused platforms, less frequently considered complete and "published" works, and often use unique or personalized tags, and so are generally never included in "ship of the year" calculations like the original post.
None of this is "blame." It's just a statement of fact. If you're a straight female writer, you're going to be significantly less inclined to write a wlw ship because you're just not romantically or sexually attracted to other women. That's not rocket science, nor am I even implying it's a bad thing that straight fanfic writers should be ashamed of. There's just fewer popular lesbian ships in fanfics because the bulk of fics are written by straight women, and straight women simply aren't sexually attracted to other women. There's way more mlm fics because straight women are definitely attracted to men. That's it.
Literally, my original post ended by noting that the solution to the problem is for more original creators to create stories or canon ships that invite lesbians into their fandoms, not demanding straight writers somehow change their interests and start writing only wlw fics...
But somehow, now we have straight people being victims? 😂
#echo answers asks#I appreciate that you were brave enough to say this off anon#but this is one of the silliest takes I've had to see on tumblr in weeks#not gonna lie#fellas is it rude to point out that straight women are straight

2024 Fic in Review
Thank you so much for the tag, @foullightdiplomatcreator-blog! 💙
Total Number of Fics: 11 on AO3, plus another 7 only on Tumblr
Total Wordcount: 54,667 (posted)
Fandoms: only posted for one (Fate: the Winx Saga), despite plans
Smut scenes: 4, which is more than I thought I'd done 🤔
Most Popular Fic (by bookmarks): undone and divine with a total of 22, which seems kind of unfair when it's been hanging out since February of 2023 (don't laugh at me, Saul); if I'm looking at strictly for 2024 posting, then a tie between make a mercy out of me and anchor, both with 6.
Most Popular Fic (by kudos): Also undone and divine; if I follow the same 2024 only rule, then it's a tie between restless and the shine i saw at 35 each
New things I tried: - wrote my first ever proper slash (anchor), since I've only done implied before - wrote an entirely new POV for a character I'd never really even considered the internal thoughts of (Ben, for hold me like water) - for that matter, thinking of characters I had pretty defined headcanons for in ways I hadn't thought about, thanks to trying to lean into @crazycatfaery's headcanons for her HEX gift -- which was pretty fun
Fic I spent the most time on: Probably a toss-up between hold me like water (slipping through your fingers), which is not surprising given that it was the second-longest fic I've ever written and also for the difficulties of getting it sorted out, and the shine i saw, because I've been poking at the rest of it off and on and also it's got a solid amount of worldbuilding incorporated.
Fic I spent the least time on: It feels like cheating to say so, but the various three-sentence fic meme fills, because those are the definition of flashfiction. I love them, honestly -- they're so much fun trying to figure out the framing on. For the ones that made it to AO3? Falling, aka "well, what did you expect when you gave me BenRose and 'goodbye', @lustrouswhite?" 😂 Pun unintended, it just fell into place very readily.
Favourite thing I wrote: How dare you make me choose between my children?! I love all of them or they wouldn't have been posted. 😭 But one that I love an awful lot is make a mercy out of me, because the sheer amount of diabolical cackling that went into writing it was so damned much fun. There is something entirely too fun about ✨in your canon, making it worse✨.
Looking Back, Did You Write More Fic Than You Thought You Would This Year, Less, Or About What You’d Expected? Yes. Definitely yes. 😂 (See the goals question below for more explanation.)
Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion: If you asked me this last year, I'd have had an easy answer. This year ... oof. I think the Lunrah fic I wrote for @anne-in-dreamland's birthday might be the one here, because both the ship and Luna's POV probably get less visibility than most of what I write? But I enjoyed writing only know (when you let her go), and trying to get into the head of a younger and perhaps less hardened Luna, so ... I guess? (As a random side tangent, I am endlessly entertained by how Fate has me poking at a bunch of different ships, including ships with the same characters, when normally I'm very much "this is my OTP and I will not even consider alternatives because that's what the O stands for". This show!)
Most Unintentionally Telling Story: Oooooh, interesting, because then the question becomes what does it say about me? Of the things I posted, probably hold me like water, because as much as I may dislike the idea I was channeling my past for all it's worth in the science nerd rambling, but also because there was a moment in the last chapter where things went in a way I did not expect them to, and the more I thought about it the more that was an echo of certain personal emotional resonances this year.
Biggest Disappointment: I started an angry coping fic in the wake of the Rook's Rest episode of HotD, but somehow my emotional state after that episode was even more of a confused mess than I expected it to be, so I never ended up finishing it. One day, perhaps -- or perhaps I got what I needed out of it -- but it feels like its moment has passed. In general, not finishing (or making the progress I wanted to) on things I had planned was probably the biggest one. My sequel for HEX 2023 got out of hand, for example, and then I got distracted. I have so many WIPs, and I really wish I was better about finishing things before I start new ones. Stupid distractible corvid brain.
Biggest Surprise: The endless suggestibility of my brain. Truly endless. IYKYK. 😭
My Favourite Part Of Fandom This Year: The ongoing delight that is the FtWS fandom in particular. I love this stupid dead fairy show and each and every one of you. 💙 Screeching with people in the server or in DMs, even if it's just these fragments of ideas that go nowhere, is endlessly delightful and I adore it.
Writing goals for next year: - not to put pressure on myself with numbers, and to be patient with my brain when it goes no - that said ... actually write some of the stuff I was going to in 2024, and get them to the point of being able to post, even if it's not the whole thing. Like I said above, I have a ridiculous number of WIPs, and I'd really like to pare that down (even if I'm sure that way lie even more ideas). Notably, I want to finish undone and divine and, ideally, my HEXquel (or at least enough to post some). - more blorbo pain. delicious blorbo pain. (There is another whumpfest WIP I am itching to get back to, but I promised @faytalepsy that I'd do something kinder first so that requires me to finish the shine i saw first.) - fill some of those prompts languishing in my inbox - do a better job of answering comments, because I used to be good and now I'm shite and I love comments and y'all are so great leaving them but I am not 😭 - and perhaps it's an oddity, but ... integrate smut into a larger story, since I don't think I've ever really done that and I'm not sure if it's how my brain works that makes me separate the two or ...
Did you meet last years goal?: If you asked me at the beginning of the year, then less; I was hoping to do about double what I ended up with. I ended up revising midyear and targeting 50k, which I was pretty sure I'd miss, and so it was a surprise when HEX ended up pushing me just over that 50k target. I definitely didn't end up writing some of the things I had in mind, but that's what next year is for.
Tagging: @rxnefairs, @backjustforberena, anyone I tagged above who's not done it, and anyone else who sees this and is in the mood ... but only if you want to 😘 Never any tagging pressure!

@goakizaizinski asked me ages ago about my zexal ship opinions and i forgot to answer, but since it's on my mind, here are some of my thoughts (which are mostly durbe-centric because, duh)
first, durbe/nasch. atem/mahad was my bread and butter when i was super into dm, so i'll always have a fondness for this pair -- and yet, at the same time, i find more and more that i prefer it unrequited on durbe's end if it's just the two of them. i guess i just like being mean to durbe? 😂 but it also means i can use yūma/shark as a plot device to push durbe and kotori together. (i'm pretty lukewarm about yūma/shark outside of this express purpose. it's totally fine, i just don't have strong feelings about it.)
"durbe and kotori?? did they interact even a single time???" yes, actually, and i haven't been the same since. they have archlord kristya in common and durbe's deck can natively go into fairy cheer girl, which was a very popular option during star seraphs' heyday in duel links. case closed. nah, i really don't know how to explain this one? it kind of blossomed from my generally negative feelings toward kotori/yūma, which...... i'll try to keep short, because ship bashing isn't my thing, but kotori/yūma in canon is all give and no receive on her part and it's genuinely really sad. the way she identifies astral as yūma's most important person right after she confesses her feelings to him is just,, ouch. like it literally feels cruel when it's clearly not meant to be. and it's not meant to be because women being unilaterally dedicated to men who pour their own emotional energy into other men is regrettably common, not just in yugioh, not even just in anime or media. but i digress. durbe and kotori are both nurturers in very different ways and i think letting them both experience that would be really good, because neither of them is used to being on the receiving end of that kind of care. plus durbe is borderline comically serious and kotori can be such a silly birb, i think they'd make a fun pair 🩷
since we're already touching on big ships. yūma/astral. eh. the irony is that i actually started watching zexal for them. i do more or less consider it canon? but not in a way where i care all that much about it. part of it's that i find yūma to be the least interesting part of zexal, which i hate to say because i also feel that the story generally benefits from how unremarkable he is -- he's supposed to be this more or less normal kid who has no stake in these interpersonal and interdimensional conflict, he just has a huge heart and wants to help people. i also just... don't remotely buy that astral's maturity is on the same level as a 13-year-old's. (it's really funny to me that the same people who get up in arms about age gaps have no issue with these two. they have an even bigger gap than atem and yūgi. it's almost like they're hypocrites or something... 🤔) obvious disclaimer that i'm not remotely suggesting it's ""immoral"" to ship this -- ships can't be immoral -- i just personally don't because of the huge maturity gap from my pov.
i made this post to talk about durbe and the twins and got sidetracked. durbe/merag. s tier. god, i love holyice more and more every day, i swear. i like it by itself and i like it as part of a throuple with nasch, whereas durbe/nasch i prefer as one-sided except in the context of durbe/nasch/merag. i need to get around to publishing something with these two asap. i wish i had more words but my brain genuinely just goes !!!!!!!!🩷🩷🩷 can't wait to subject everyone to my hyper specific headcanons.
all of this also applies to durbe/rio, though i actually like durbe/ryouga a smidge more than durbe/nasch, whereas durbe/merag and durbe/rio are about the same? maybe it's that both incarnations of rio get less focus than her brother and as such, don't feel as distinct in their dynamic with durbe, in spite of how much i like to play with her both being and not being merag. durbe and ryouga are really petty and that's funny.
i quite like durbe/mizael and i've been kicking around the idea of durbe/thomas. i like kaito/chris despite my apathy towards kaito, but i supremely don't care about kaito/mizael. have i forgotten any big ones?? kotori/cathy and kotori/anna are fun. astral/96 was my old stomping ground and i still have a soft spot for it. i like 96/akari and astral/akari, too. yūma/96 is okay but inferior to other 96 ships. i only like 96/vector when vector isn't an uwu innocent victim and vector/yūma when it's properly fucked up. yūma/fūya, yūma/kaito, yūma/michael and michael/kotori are cute. michael/astral and especially michael/mizael seem fun in my head. i want to see fūya/anna explored more, too, i just don't care to do it myself.
my kaito apathy means kaito/ryouga doesn't do much for me, either. i like thomas/rio and vector/rio a little more than thomas/shark and vector/shark, but see the appeal in the latter pairs as well. i like @shifuto's astral/shark stuff even if i'd never think of it on my own. kotori/rio deserves more love -- too much of the content feels really performative for me. if i think of a ship i forgot i'll edit this.
i can't believe orbital 7 fucked. that's all

Hi there, friend! I heard you were eager to provide us some salt? :D
May I ask for 2, 7, 10 and 15?
Have a nice day! 💖
Salty Ask List
why hello there, ashen! there's no words limit in tumblr so I can go all out with and be annoying 😛 (have a nice day too!)
2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?
on top of the ones I mentioned in this ask, Magna/Luck is a ship that gives me more BroTP vibes. I find myself enjoying their moments and shenanigans through familial, brotherly lens. I still fw them together as a couple from time to time (especially in my friends' arts and fics), but at the end of the day Magna/Luck's dynamic will always be an important BroTP to me, much like asta and liebe 💖🤝🏻
also it doesn't really count as brotp since I ship them, but Yami and Nacht's bromance is just chef's kiss, I just happened to crack them as exes with nacht getting forced to co-parent the squad he's been avoiding for years 😂
7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?
fuck clover kingdom honestly I hope someone destroys it from the ground up and establish a new system :)
also fights. I'm tired of going through fights after fights after fights with cliffhangers that don't hit as often. I just want to see everyone talks and interacts and has cooldown moments more, which hasn't been an option for years now with how fast the plot runs. of course hino provided a much needed break, but I wish liebe played bigger part in the arc and I wish the bulls got to visit the land too.
10. Most disliked arc? Why?
the anime-only arc not included, it used to be the royal knights arc before zora grew on me (tournaments just bore me ok), but now it's the royal capital arc with it being the least enjoyable.
15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?
it's full of great themes and ideas but with weak execution because the mangaka rarely goes beyond the bare minimum, leading us to have an underdeveloped world and concepts that used to be hyped in the past shrugged off now because the plot moves too fast for the story to explores everything.
alright, this might not be an unpopular opinion, so for something more controvesial... Yuno doesn't belong to the golden dawn, he doesn't fit with him, they're not his friends let alone found family. Yuno has to be slowly stripped off his roots to become someone more fitting of the squad's superior aura and passive arrogance masked as pride. Yuno deserves better, and he can't get what he deserves in such a loveless and friendless environment that only offered him disdain and guilt.
in a better timeline, Yuno will become a black bull.
#no one can convince me he's happy with the golden dawn#black bull yuno more like best yuno#not a quote#ask games#black clover#yuno black clover

I think a lot of sakura hate is undeserved. Like ik she's said and done some things that were out of pocket, but then again so did almost everyone else and no one else gets scrutinized as much as her. I don't even like her and her fans are incredibly annoying, but I feel this much is true. I think she'd still be one of the most hated characters in all of anime if her undeserved hate went away, so it doesn't really make much of a difference. I feel like her hate is kinda like sasuke's, sometimes it feels like he gets hated on just for being sasuke bc ik some things he's done would've been swept under the rug if another, more popular character did it (eg when he killed some samurai) for sakura, there are lots of incel fanart memes dudebros made to make fun of her, so it seems like they hate her for just being a woman who rejected a loser man and likes a better man. It's no wonder her fans are so annoying, that's what happens when your fave character gets undeserved constant hate. My fave is sasuke and sometimes even I wanna do some petty annoying shit just to piss his haters off too lol. Also since she's a woman, there's definitely some misogyny at play when her character is being analyzed by men. Or even women with internalized misogyny. It's stupid to deny that, misogyny is the most normalized oppression everywhere. So many ppl don't even realize they're being misogynistic, that's how normal it is. Sure it's not always the case but ignoring it is just being dumb. Her fans using the misogyny card to actual genuine criticism is definitely stupid though. Like it's possible to not like a woman and not be misogynistic ofc. Also when they use that when sns fans ship sasuke with naruto instead of sakura, that's even dumber 😂 how is not shipping a woman with a man and instead shipping him with another man misogynistic in any way lol. But yeah, I'm definitely not on her fans side, or even a fan of her myself, but I can still acknowledge this
+ 2 Asks - long post:
When talking about critiquing characters and analyzing stories, it doesn't really matter who's doing the talking – whether they're fans, critics, or just people who love or don't love a particular show or character. We can't always figure out why (especially anonymous) people feel the way they do and how do we even discern the motivation or background of those who do so? —whether they're misogynistic, incels, dudebros, fans, or critics of whatever other stories, among other factors. In fact, in this case it’s pretty irrelevant? Or only relevant here because you brought it up.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t take away the fact that a significant portion of the 'Naruto' audience finds Sakura's character unlikable. She consistently is found at the center of conversations about the most disliked Anime characters. This is ultimately a reflection of storytelling, rather than solely an audience reaction. And that leads to a broader discussion about Kishimoto’s writing where many blame his lack of skill in writing when it comes to the portrayal of female characters. (Opinions may vary, so does mine.) Dismissing criticism by categorizing critics as incels or misogynists is oversimplifying it tbh because of course they harbor specific biases against a character like Sakura which in itself isn’t fair and would definitely make it ‘undeserved’. (I really wouldn’t use that term for a fictional character unless we talk about the story itself tbh.) You yourself say “not always the case...” So that doesn't mean Kishimoto's portrayal of Sakura or any other character, and the genuine criticism she receives for universally disliked traits, is any less valid. Many perceive her as selfish, and Kishimoto himself has used that specific term (and even worse) to describe her. So, you can’t deny that this foundation of her character exists. Her decisions and behavior make sense even if people preferred to see it differently.
Though, when analyzing, it is important to keep the Shinobi world in mind, and only our own as reference. And that’s exactly why the hatred Sasuke gets is not the same.... :
The amount of hate/criticism has nothing to do with a comparison though. Sakura's actions are often deliberately misunderstood, twisted to fit certain narratives that are in her favor and even exaggerated to counteract the hate like the first ask said. On the other hand, Sasuke is generally misunderstood and is hated for it. Often not getting even a tiny bit of compassion because some people struggle to see beyond his exterior and just ride the Naruto-verse’s moral/value waves from the narrative. Where the entire point was that those ideals needed change.
SAVE HIM!? Why is it always so actively ignored that Sakura tried to kill Sasuke twice but him defending himself or fighting back is ‘so incredibly evil’? This ‘resolve’ of hers becomes even more significant to Kishimoto’s message when we consider that she intentionally represents the same ideals that led to the genocide and with that- agreed to eliminate him without attempting to understand him even once. Repeating history in the meantime where, again, that change is necessary. And you start with trying to understand the other, something Naruto had to learn too and actively had to find that answer by himself. Never once did she actually listen to Sasuke when he tried to open up and instead twisted the few words he got out to make it about herself. Not only disregarding his (and Naruto’s) trauma but shitting on it, thinking he, of ALL people, would feel happy with her abandoning her family and friends for him and comparing her feeling lonely without Sasuke to his entire clan being murdered what forced him to grow up alone. I mean, hello? Kishimoto was saying something very loudly there and it’s nothing positive about Sakura and that certainly has nothing to do with a lack of writing skills, the opposite actually. Even if she was briefly a teammate, she rightfully became irrelevant to him, and her decision to get rid of the (in her and the world's eyes) “criminal” was entirely for her own sake because she couldn't bear to see her crush behave like one and deal with her irrelevance.
She rejected everything Sasuke wanted, needed, and desired, including his central 'why' in the story. She reduced him to a moody handsome boiii with no goals of his own, one she neither could nor wanted to understand. She tried to insert herself into his goals without him giving her any reason to, and when unsuccessful, she wanted to discard them altogether thinking he was ‘too far gone’. Like Sasuke as a person as a whole was her ‘burden’ to bear simply because she wanted to be somewhat relevant. Even Kakashi said it :/ although he thought she did it all out of the kindness of her heart. (Ffs, Kakashi I like you, but no.) Now, please consider EVERYTHING and then think again why Sakura thought of Sasuke as a burden or why she felt burdened by him while lying about her trust in him to Sai? 👀
The importance of Sasuke having a goal is immense because he grapples with survivor's guilt. A goal provides a reason to keep going, a way to carry the pain and blame he places on himself. It allows him to be strategic and have a plan, which is the only source of hope that things may eventually improve. He rejected what Naruto stood for because he found it distracting and hard to trust at that point. OF COURSE he fought so fucking hard against it. No matter his feelings for Naruto, relying solely on effort like Naruto wasn't something he could do. Especially considering how his beloved brother had betrayed him in the worst possible way.
Now, here's a question for you: why would Sakura need to receive compassion or 'deserve' it when, as a character, she rarely demonstrated it herself, especially when it comes to the person she claims to like so much? And if anyone thinks that was out of love in any way, which it wasn't, then what does it all mean for Naruto????
If you genuinely believe there was any point in the story Sakura tried to save Sasuke for Sasuke’s sake then I hope you’re able to read the story again and question this very rigorously for yourself. Not just her actions, but what Kishimoto tried to actually show/tell and use them to measure how it stands against the bigger Themes also.
Lastly: the whole point of needing to kill Naruto was BECAUSE he cared for him lol, read Sasuke's monologue again if it helps. That his bond with Naruto had too much of an impact on Sasuke. His one and only, his most important person/friend, only bond left that kept him from truly being alone, Naruto’s life in itself too much of a threat to his heart even when separated, blabla- should I go on? 🤔
#asktamelee#naruto talk#sasuke talk#dunno how else to tag this#I rarely want to talk about sasuke on my blog but#this became very pro sasuke and anti sakura jsyk#really had to vent a little xD

time ran out on the Slipknot poll before i could decide which of the three options i was considering to vote for lol 😅
(the winner of the poll was one of them, and one of the others got no votes)
...while i'm here, i was wondering if you had any less known songs you reccommend giving a listen? this makes my third time being introduced to them, and i'm hoping it sticks for longer than the first two times lmao
Hello Anon! Don't worry about the poll results, all of them are gunna get published eventually I just needed help picking where to start! 😂😂 As far as songs, I can't tell you if they're lesser known ones or not, I'm sure at least some of them aren't, because I listen to most of their discography! But, as far as songs I personally recommend...
If you're into stuff with some really nasty drums!
Eyeless
Sulfur
The Blister Exists
Disasterpiece
Purity
(TBH, Joey's a legend, I'd argue he's one of the greatest drummers of all time, so I don't feel like any of their songs really miss when it comes to drums between him and percussion)
If you're looking for more guitar centered stuff
(sic) - super popular and super basic I know, but this song is a personal favorite of mine, there's a run around 1:38-1:50 that's particularly good in my opinion
Dead Memories
Gematria
Sulfur
Only One
Want something growly and screamy?
Eyeless (one of my personal favorite songs in general)
(sic) - particularly one specific live version where you can really hear Chris's backing vocals, I believe it was 2009? FUCKING CLEAN AND UGH he's so talented
Everything Ends
People = Shit
Scissors
Maybe something more melodic?
Duality
Killpop
Vermillion (has some particularly nice harmonies)
Unsainted
Before I Forget
(I would put Snuff but everyone knows that song)
Hopefully there's something in there you like! It also took me a few tries to get into their music and they very quickly became one of my favorite bands once I found stuff I liked! Thank you so much for the ask!! ❤️❤️❤️

#2, #8, #13, #14, #16, and #18 I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS
Hey @thestorieswesay ❤️️ Sorry this is so late, but you better than anyone know what I'm like! 💀 Double apology that most of these answers are not SGU-related, but I've been on a movie binge recently. *rubs hands together*
2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom
Answered here, but tbh I struggle to sort characters into such rigid categories. I'll say Telford has a big preference for bottoming, to the point where in the kink series when Rush immediately tells him he doesn't want to get fucked, Telford's only potential pitfall is if it's because Rush views the act of bottoming as intrinsically degrading. When he decides that isn't the reason, then he's completely on board to never top, no further questions asked. (Also, I'm thinking this question would be better if it asked why your fave would never dom or sub 👀)
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
So I recently rewatched all the Alien films before the new one (which I didn't think was very good, but that's a discussion for a whole other post as I have a lot to say about it lol) Anyway, we have the Prometheus/Covenant reboot that unfortunately failed, which I speak briefly about here. Common fandom opinion is that Prometheus was bad, a lot of complaints about there not actually being any xenomorphs in it, blah blah blah.
But. It's a prequel. It describes where the xenomorphs came from, their evolution, etc. So of course they're not going to be in the movie all that much! 😡 The film offered a new spin to the franchise and I thought it was awesome. It had all the xenomorph lore and evolution information I could get my greedy little hands on! You don't need two dozen fully grown xenomorphs coming at you (and somehow you survive which kind of takes the danger thrill out of the rest of the movie 🙄) - Romulus - or chestbursters coming out through the spine instead in a generic horror movie body-jerking-around way - Covenant - to make a good horror movie. The alien franchise was never generic and that was what set it apart back when the originals were made.
13. worst blorboficiation
Sort of answered here with the SGU fandom often ignoring Young's and Rush's worse traits (though I definitely know that's not a problem you suffer from 😜)
For a fresh answer, let's return to the alien movies Prometheus/Covenant. In them, there's an android called David (played by Michael Fassbender 🤤) - he's an evil boy, mad scientist type, villain with a legit reason to be pissed, all good stuff! But he's not Magento-evil where everything he does is completely understandable. David is EVIL evil. He's going around impregnating people with alien fetuses and cutting people up while they're still alive and swallowing alien embryos to later vomit back up once he's through the detection system… And the fandom… Bros. Buddies. Pals. Chaps. You want to make him soft and lovey-dovey and reader-insert where you're the only one capable of changing him? Idk man… Let him be evil. As a treat.
14. that one thing you see in fics all the time
Worked my way through all the X-Men movies too, and it's nice to be in a fandom where there's an abundance of fanfic as opposed to having to produce the majority of it myself or just live with there not being much if any new material because it's an older/not as popular series. But I see a lot of X-Men: First Class fics having Erik being dominant in bed and I… 😂 Well, that guy has a telepathy kink a mile wide and it's a crime there's not more fic of him being the sub he's so obviously desperate to be!
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Crossing SGU over with OUAT, in order to ship Belle with Rush. ...Well, I can understand, because the reason they're doing it is to paste themselves onto Belle so they can fuck Rush, but I don't get it. 15% of SGU fics on AO3 are OUAT crossovers 😑
18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on…
I feel like you're say-the-line-Bart-ing me 😂

ty for your response.
I think that fans usually prefer romantic pairings between characters who have nothing in common, or they're kinda of enemies... yk what I mean? like, fans ship Harry with Draco and it's literally the most popular hp ship but on the other hand, not so many ship Harry with Ron (who was willing to sacrifice himself for Harry in the third book). their friendship, their bond, especially in the books, was as strong as James and Sirius's friendship, and Weasleys loved Harry the way Potters loved Sirius. that's why i believe wolfstar still would be more interesting ... and tragic, oh god. yeah those were just my opinions ofc ,and maybe I'm wrong haha
and please write abt tall Sirius with short, ty mwah <3
I mean, yeah, I can kinda see it and I can kinda see the appeal, even though I personally never shipped Harry and Draco (but there's this book Carry On which is basically a parody-of-a-sort (in a good way!) of Harry Potter and other popular YA books (mainly hp as we have this whole wizarding school) and there the enemies really become lovers and I ship it soo...) but I somewhat understand it. Also, sorry but for me if that person is not completely annoying and riling you up, it's not love xD I think that's why I also ship Jily, tbh, I wanna know more about them too. This being said, I know there are people like that out there too, but I'm so glad Snape and James aren't a popular ship 😂😂😂 I said I don't hate ships but I just don't think my heart would have survived if this was everywhere. Also, it would be definitely one of the unhealthy ones.
But yeah, I totally agree with Ron and Harry being as close and James and Sirius and I actually think that these friendships are totally the best. And they shouldn't be ruined by romances. People should just normalize people being really close without anyone being in love with the other.
Still, I do ship Wolfstar a lot, maybe one of the few ships I have that is friends to lovers, lol. And yeah, in their case it's gonna be extremely tragic. Likee, the Prank. Idk, I'm the type of person who makes bad decisions and my friends are constantly angry but I don't know how you recover from something like that. And that's nothing. I can't stop imagining these twelve years where Sirius was in prison and knew everyone assumed he had killed his best friend. But that's literally nothing compared to how Remus must have felt. Like, what?? Your two best friends are dead and you assume that the third one (or your lover) did it?! In any case it's crazy.
Edit cause I totally forgot: I don't wanna think of Sirius with short hair, tho 😭 Like, I don't care that much about height difference but I can't imagine him with short hair. I want to believe it was just shortER. Bc he had long hair in PoA because of his time in Azkaban but he later kept it long too. So he either realised it's better, or at least at some point he had it like that. I mean, suits the whole motorbike vibe too.

Reverse Unpopular Opinion: tell me what you love about Saw
Takes your hands. We are going on a journey. I'm probably doing the reverse unpopular opinion thing wrong but ❤️ it's 5 am by me. we deal.
Personally I like that some of the traps are done with practical effects, much to the detriment of the VERY ENTHUSIASTIC cast who are surprisingly chill with almost drowning IRL and/or having to suffer through wearing 30+ lbs of jagged steel while having the flu and/or actually being stuck in the shackle prop because there was a malfunction while everybody else goes for lunch and/or requesting real glass for the stunt scenes and insisting on throwing real punches in the stunt fights because they're a masochistic freak of an actor (the masochism isn't the bad part, the EVERYTHING ELSE about him sucks) Some of the worst traps and effects are when they use cgi. Looks bad, tom.
I also appreciate that the through-line of the movie is not only justice (and the malformations of it) but also love. Love is what drives the characters to do what they do!! At least three of the apprentices/jigsawers do what they do because they are doing it for love of another person!! And not even romantic love for most of them. I love that the fandom has led me to more friendships and sparked more creativity in me that was lacking for a while. I love that the cast list is just random b-c list actors and also Greg Bryk is there and every time I see him I get jumpscared. I love that it gave me an idea for a tattoo (original idea do not steal!!!) where it'll say "do you like how brutality feels?" but in the shape of a spiral and I kinda wanna get it on the inside of my forearm.
As the adage goes, one must cultivate their online experience because there are some WEIRD ASS headcanons out there. That being said, I love and appreciate the people who are normal about the fat characters. I love that people banded together against an artist who was very adamant and weird about drawing fat characters (which there are a few) like twinks. I wish they kept that energy going. I LOVE that seeing a specific fat character and the way he's built/the way people draw him voluptuously (😂) gives me so much gender euphoria. I love when people acknowledge this character as an erudite and well-dressed man with an art degree and a secret passion for home remodeling (this is canon) who also happens to be a fat man. Like fat people are real three dimensional human beings or something. He's also super deranged and mows down like 70+ people at once in a spree that ends in him stuck and trapped, possibly killed and possibly just held captive by a cunty evil doctor in the basement of his own home like how in the Sims game where you make somebody live in the basement and paint constantly so you can make money selling the paintings.
I love how a few months ago on Twitter the fandom came together to mourn as the bot that goes through the script line by line came to a particularly devastating part and that stupid image of the cat puppet from the OLD Dr Who
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e8c066e33a7daf44ba866e6f94afdfee/030b97dd182e4fdc-2b/s540x810/2aace43f34f1f6b9d22fbea5b4c6c3bb6429a977.jpg)
(this image) was the only thing keeping me sane while I was in the trenches of crying in school over stupid bullshit.
I did my final in my religion in film class about Saw and used the following image. My professor and classmates were wowed.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f28d6815fdadf67ddb7ce6e870ad61ba/030b97dd182e4fdc-30/s540x810/821cdcdbb61465ed8667d589a74b26579c53e1a3.jpg)
Sadly the accompanying paper sucked major ass (I wrote it in the span of an hour and it's ADHD core topic jumping like HELL) but it got me an A and the respect of my asshole professor 😂
I ALSO LOVE HOW SAW FANDOM POSTS KEEP ESCAPING CONTAINMENT AND GETTING POPULAR AMONG THE GENERAL NON-SAW FANS LIKE THAT 50 GUNS AND VIBRATOR IN THE CAR CUP HOLDER DASH THING MEME THATS A SAW POST
I kinda rambled a bit sorry 😂 here's a gif of Peepaw Jigsaw himself zooted off his ass and staring at a fishtank in his ex-boyfriend's office.

Good evening dear Blue :D
For the ask game
❤️ 🧡 💖 💀
(with the sonic media ofc)
Good evening!🍀
❤: Which character do you think is the most egregiously mischaracterized by the fandom? (I think it is this one but on my laptop the heart is blacked out, but when I copy-paste it it becomes the red heart... confusing🤔😂)
I think as a whole it'd be Shadow, though for me, Silver is far more personally relevant, haha. But Shadow seems to be a difficult character to get down, because he's got so much going on with him in canon. In fanon materials, I'd say that he often either becomes a raging jerk or he becomes very soft, cuddly, gentle and suave with Sonic for tons of Sonadow fics, and though the first description fits him somewhat better, he's... well, neither, I'd say. And Silver of course gets uwu blorbified to hell and back, rip. But since Shadow is far more popular than Silver, I'd say he suffers the worst of it.
🧡: What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with?
This is gonna be a very unpopular take, but the "Sonic has ADHD" theory doesn't sit well with me if the follow-up is "and that means he can never sit still, is infantile, doesn't listen to others, doesn't value his friends, can never take anything seriously, and is an insensitive unemphatic jerk". If I look at the Sonic in Adventure 1, Rush, or Black Knight, I see someone who is incredibly well-attuned to others' feelings and who knows what to say and do to radically change people's worldviews for the better. Plus, Sonic knows when to focus on adventures and when he has to get serious: I cannot recall a canon instance where he is bouncing around absolutely out of control with no regard for others, for example. And if something goes wrong through his actions (e.g. Lost World), he's trying his absolute hardest to make it right again. So I'm not really sure where the idea that Sonic needs to learn the power of friendship or is super hyperactive and never listens comes from.
💖: What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?
Oof. I guess that I really don't like the direction things are going in, maybe? That is to say, I haven't felt particularly inclined to engage with new materials so much because they don't grab my attention in the slightest: I'll get SxSG when it releases, but I'm going in basically completely blind because I'm not interested in theorising about what could happen. Plus, I haven't watched a single TailsTube episode, nor have I played Superstars. And I also couldn't care less about the third movie, to be quite honest😅 I don't know; I'm happy to do my own thing in my own corner with Espio and Silver, but I do feel sad that the new materials we're getting don't resonate with me so much. I wonder how that's going to change in the future.
💀: If you had to choose one major character to die, who would you choose?
...Knuckles XD XD Between the main quartet plus Eggman, I simply care about him least, haha. Though, does Metal Sonic count as a major character? I've got plenty of characters I don't care about (Big, Cream, the Babylon Rogues), but I don't feel like they're present enough to be major characters. Metal is cool, but I have even less opinions on and feelings about him than I do Knux, so... XD

Thank you!
Ship It (in the past, not into HP anymore)
What made you ship it? - yeah, this one might get me cancelled everywhere, but they were by far my favorite HP ship. I don't remember what made me ship them, but I do remember they were my gateway into the slash fandom, and a huge revelation. I think it was the forbidden aspect that drew me to it. I stumbled upon some fic and decided to try it 'for funsies', and, well.
What are your favorite things about the ship? - the way their loathing of each other is so all-consuming and unreasonable (well, on Snape's side it's unreasonable. Harry actually has pretty good reasons most of the time😂. But sometimes his hatred of Snape takes him places that are rather scary, and way beyond your regular anger at an asshole teacher, and I loved it). The way they seem to be obsessed with each other at times. The way they're both wrong about each other in so many ways. The way they are so similar. The way Snape's potions book made Harry feel like he had a friend, but it was Snape, the person he hated with every fiber of his being, that made him feel this way! All the missed opportunities for them to meet one another halfway, so tantalizing, but never realized. I wanted them to understand each other so badly, I needed some catharsis, but it never happened. They're probably where my love for enemies-to-lovers comes from.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? - the fact that I shipped it? lol. It was a very popular ship in the past, but right now it might get me crucified it I say I loved it, so I rarely speak of it.
