Oh and imagine pretending to object to societal default tropes, so therefore (Destiel) romance is bad and boring and yet without blinking accepting Sam's blurry wife, his house in the burbs, and his child, playing catch in the back yard, Sam's ultra traditional life where he fled from hunting, while still trying to convince people that Dean and Cas getting to be together would be very traditional and dull and boring and heteronormative and anti-platonic bonds. Dean and Cas best friends and lovers is hardly an attack on the wonderfulness and strength of platonic connections. Their relationship contains multitudes and runs on multiple levels.
