#yellow was his colour because it emphasised the light he gave off #this is so redundant given i haven’t used this blog for two years and then i came back for like a week only for this to happen LOL #anyways if you’re reading this: thank you. this blog meant more to me than anything & the friendships it gave me will last a lifetime.#i think he’d be happiest to know that over the years he gave people a sense of community & belonging.#especially people who maybe felt like they didn’t have that growing up (me)#sitting back and realising i grew up with him fills me with such a sense of privilege & happiness that i cannot even begin to describe #this is so personal but i struggled a lot in 2020 (as everyone did) and having him along with f1 & this blog was such a saving grace for me #and i don’t think i could ever begin to express my gratitude. to him & to anyone this blog gave to me.#he will always be formula one to me & the reality that he won’t be here again is just far too painful for me to accept.#i feel good about leaving this blog behind for good & everything it holds. every photo. every liveblog. snapshots of his career.#i hope people can continue to get the same joy from it that i had when posting. and i hope you can remember daniel’s career for what it was #he deserves it.#so again: thank you.

#sundrop #moondrop #mermaid au #also don’t mind the character in one of them #hiding the plot in the tags so no one reads it #met initially when they were younger #were good friends but one day sun got too dry and became human #moon freaked out and thought the human may be the cause #went to eclipse for advice and eclipse was all “oh ye it’s defo the human that caused this #also if u continue hanging out with them more bad stuff is gonna happen to u guys trust me #eclipse just has his own baggage regarding humans #but basically that scares moon so much he decides it would be better to no longer be friends with the human #makes a kinda stupid decision to wipe the #memories of both sun and the human #he was just a kid tho so ya gotta give him a break #now tho moon is super isolated and feels bad awww #he also figures out he also gained the ability to turn human as well #while having a crisis and not knowing what to do he runs into Monty #who is just a human in this universe #and like idk they actually get along really well and Monty is a good distraction for moon and also has a good straightforward mindset #all the while Monty doesn’t know that moon is not human #moon considers telling him but chickens out #eventually Monty has to move away due to his parents getting a new job #years later both the human they befriended and Monty return to the fishing town now adults #Bright now has a fear of the ocean due to the memory wipe and decided to move back by recommendation by their therapist #exposure therapy #Monty gets caught up in a group of people who want to kill the sea monsters that have been destroying fishing boats and eating people #bright notices new developments in the town like a hotel and oil rig. also the ocean seems a lot dirtier than it used to be…#anyway I’ve reached tag limit I’ll write the rest prob never but I’ll say later to try and motivate myself #Luca au

As an artist and/or writer, what is one thing you think you do well? What is one thing you would like to improve on?

Hmm off the top of my head?

things I'm not bad at:

Getting into a character's head i.e. characterisation

Understanding the emotion/tone of a scene

Letting the story fly by the seat of my pants

things I could improve on:

The art of brevity and conciseness / pacing

Using less purple prose

Planning, time management and consistency

Getting stuck on using the same words/similar descriptions

I've worked on a couple different projects now and have definitely improved since I first started writing mnmc (I hate re-reading my own work but it is satisfying to see the difference).

#this is a free opportunity to throw any critiques at me #recently ive been trying to read more (conventional books. not fanfic) to continue improving #especially since im still doing the work/uni double life and dont have much motivation to actively sit down and write atm #that said. im still writing mnmc. it's just coming along very slowly #thanks for the question!

invincible oc lore time 🙌 I initially made Daareios just so I could have a character that I could (affectionately) annoy Thragg with, but now he's a fully fleshed out OC. He's a very unstable guy suffering from emotional neglect and horrible self-esteem. He'd rather be angry at everyone in the world (except Thragg) than to acknowledge his issues. Not your ideal warrior of the Viltrum Empire, but he's trying to keep it together for the sake of his people 👍

makes you wonder if sult was right all along bc these wars could've been entirely avoided if not for a feud between two egomaniacs? everyone got a bad ending and they all suffered for it, except maybe glokta in a way, and jezal if he continues to live in denial? but like imagine giving these people a chance to see something better in themselves only to snatch it away from them entirely and cursing them to a life of misery. is this what logen's friends died for? is this what jezal's people died for? there is nothing left. usually there is always some good ending, some hope in rebuilding and starting over but my god this just left everyone hollow and devoid of anything that resembles any optimism
