To think he experienced that at a young age is actually quite disturbing. I get that Iizuka sensei tries to depict the brutality and suffering of people at that time.

But like- This is the problem for like 99% of anime and mangas. If you create a character, at least make them LOOK like their age??? What do you mean THIS

Really interesting how Jason practices a sort of equal exchange with verbal fights. He’s not going to do more than taunt his opponent superficially if they can’t reach him (emotionally) deeper than surface level. If his words are truly scathing and hurtful, he’s baring his own soul and giving the same vulnerability to his opponent (whether it was demanded of him or not).

Most of UTRH is the former, and then he takes both his and Bruce’s masks and forces an emotional confrontation during which he cries. Jason puts Bruce in a terrible position but he’s laid his own heart at Bruce’s feet while doing so. He spends much of Brothers in Blood childishly taunting Dick and receiving hostility for it; then Dick helped him when Jason was truly worried he wouldn’t, so Jason leaves Dick with a note admitting how much he values him. Nightwing would’ve saved anyone, but Jason still saw it as being worth honesty from him.

Rhaenyra sends a boat of food past the blockade and it's framed as a politically smart maneuver as if it wouldn't just highlight that she has full control over the blockade and it's because of her that there's no food for anyone in the city 🙄

Batfamily member's civilian identity becomes some serial killer's target because it fits some profile. Cue said murderer going after this member of the Batfamily, earning a very shocked and mildly exasperated set of swear words and then getting their ass kicked. The Batfamily member doesn't even bother calling the cops, just tosses the would be killer in the back of their car (which has bloody gloves in the seat and weird files on people), leading the murderer to conclude they're in the presence of a much worse serial killer.

Tldr: Outsider POV fic where a Batfamily member earns the undying adoration of an actual murderer and it's a slow, convoluted process to getting the evidence to arrest them while also protecting their secret identity.

I think we need to take a page from the fleetwood mac fans and re-sensitize ourselves to how crazy it is to write songs about your breakup while the breakup is happening in a band with the person who you're breaking up with and then performing said breakup songs with said person

I can't rewrite this season but if it was up to me, I'd still have the Umbrellas sacrificing themselves to save the timeline and at the end we see the Umbrellas still alive, but they're all living different lives and perhaps with varied ages to show that its not their existence that caused the timeline to get fucked up, but the marigold that started everything.

The Umbrellas were always meant to exist and live, but it was the marigold that caused the timeline getting muddled and disrupted their existence. Without it, the Umbrellas (and every other kids that were created by the marigold) were able to be born and live their lifes normally like they were always meant to.

Would it still have a lot of plotholes? Yes. Would it make sense? Perhaps not but at least its better than what they implied with the ending which is very upsetting and dangerous the longer you think about it.
