Can we get what would have happened in footnotes? 🥺
I’m guessing that one’s pretty high on the “never going to be finished” pile too 😞
yep; sadly, that one’s also got a big case of Dream Is Very Important and not in a way that i could just edit him out either. and on top of that, there’s A TON of it left. like, look at this graph for illustration of where we were at in the plot:
this is my actual outline — it was all on sticky notes all over my wall that i brainstormed over the course of a few tuesday evenings with my friend witchy. it was a really fun time making up the whole story and i do not regret it at all! unfortunately it also was never saved anywhere else, so now that i had to take the sticky notes down over the summer, it’s back to being a little messy in my head.
but!! i will do my best to recount it all. here we go. this is extremely long i’m so sorry buckle up everyone. footnotes typical tws ahead: violence, major character death, and past/referenced child abuse.
kill your heroes is the inciting incident of the story. all the oneshots before that were just setting the stage. in kyh, we learn some very important things about our main duo: their backstory, for example. we learn that superpowers in this universe are developed when a normal person is pushed past their limits and their body reacts by creating the ability to do something that humans should otherwise not be able to do (read: superpowers). we learn about a lab that was attempting to harness that ability, funded under-the-table by several rich individuals with connections to the hero force itself, and was quickly shut down after being thrown into public scrutiny. and we learn about a handful of the victims of that lab: our very own quackity and tubbo. this is the reason quackity hates the hero force — he blames them for the trauma he and tubbo endured at the hand of the lab, and of schlatt specifically, the man who was in charge of the lab. but schlatt is dead now, and quackity watched him die, so there’s no revenge to seek there. justice has to be found in other places.
and in the climactic moment of kill your heroes, quackity revenge is turned towards the hero force itself. but not intentionally. in his workings with pythia the information broker and against evil scientist duo skephalo, quackity accidentally puts sbinc at the front lines of conflict between the force and bad’s experiments. short-circuit is killed in the resulting fight. so are hannah x and anthony frost, aka rose and copycat from baby steps. bad survives and is taken into custody. sbinc falls apart without circuit; wilbur quits the force on the spot. phil takes an extended leave and doesn’t know when he’s going back. techno stays, but somehow, that’s worse, and he’s headed right down a single-minded path of getting himself fired for not following orders.
and tubbo? tubbo’s lost.
this is where dream becomes massively important. dream shares his own past with the hero force—his best friend george/archer had also been killed in action years ago, causing sapnap/blaze to quit and begin to spiral. dream lost both of his friends that day, and he hadn’t even had a power to try to save them. dream with no powers, and tubbo with every power and none of them his, see each other eye-to-eye. dream tells tubbo if he wants to leave the hero force, he wouldn’t blame him. he’d support him. he tells him to take time off, to take care of himself, to grieve. and then whenever he was ready to make the decision, dream would be waiting to help him pick up the pieces of whatever career he still wanted.
meanwhile, quackity is having a horrible fucking time. he feels incredible amounts of guilt, because it’s sort of his fault that circuit died. tubbo does not know that blindfire was involved, and quackity is deadset on keeping it that way. but, uh, the blade has figured it out. and the blade no longer cares about little things like “heroes aren’t supposed to kill vigilantes.” on top of being hunted down by one of the best heroes on the force, quackity has completely lost his connection to pythia, who he couldn’t even trust in the first place, AND he’s also fucked things up with sapnap, who he met while looking for information on bad (“seduce the scientist’s hot son” did not go well, to be clear). the quacknap plotline is honestly pretty lighthearted and was intended to be, like, quackity’s only bright spot in the entire damn series because holy shit it just keeps getting worse for him. they have a funny little arc and then end up living together and start dating shortly after.
“but dee,” you say, “that’s just quacknap. there’s gotta be another one there. where’s karl?”
i’m so glad you asked. pythia reaches back out to blindfire. a new job arrives, and once again, quackity cannot turn it down. it’s targeting corruption in the hero force specifically, and, well. blindfire is already two hops and a skip away from being hero force enemy number one, right? how much worse can it get?
[cut to blindfire murdering the head of the hero force. rip callahan]
before we unpack all that, let’s look at tubbo again. he’s adopted a cat (dream brought one by like “hey when george died i got a cat and that was very important to my healing process so like, here you go i guess”) and he’s back in training. he’s almost graduated to full hero, though he hasn’t picked a proper mentor. he’s been working under sam—who btw is an undercover hero who mostly sticks to recon, but his last cover got disastrously blown (thanks blindfire) so he’s laying low for a bit in the meanwhile—and a bit under puffy, but nothing is permanent for tubbo anymore. he’s just sort of existing. he sees quackity sometimes. he hasn’t met his new boyfriend, but it’s very obvious q has one. good for him, tubbo supposes. ranboo is also supposed to be around for a little bit right here but i do not have that developed at all. just imagine him being there.
and then the hero force fucking implodes. thanks blindfire!
this is, like, it for cabinetduo. they’ve both been pushed in such opposite directions, and now things hit a breaking point. identities are revealed all across the hero force—someone (karl/pythia) leaks every bit of information that the force has ever kept private, and this time it’s not blindfire, but hey. if the records of their shady sketchy shit are all out there to face the consequences of, he’s not gonna complain! many other people are gonna complain, though. nobody is happy. the city is thrown into immediate chaos. several new villains spring up out of seemingly nowhere — hey syndicate how’s it going? still pissed over circuit’s death? yeah fair — and even the heroes who are still trying to help people now get the fun of confronting the awfulness that has gone on behind the scenes of their organization the whole time. yippee!!
dream strikes as quickly as he can in the chaos. he was only ever just a powerless recruitment agent, after all; he was never involved in any of their bureaucratic bullshit, and after george’s death, he certainly has no love lost for the organization either. but what he does have is the trust of several heroes, including nova. so they’re going to start over—build from the ground up. brand new hero group—not a full organization, just one small team. unionize the heroes. and nova, rebranded to nightmare, is at the forefront. blaze comes back out of retirement. puffy and sam join as well.
and to fill out their little team, tubbo tracks quackity down and gives him one last invitation. quackity, naturally, says “fuck no.” tubbo says “motherfucker you are gonna go to jail just let me help you” and quackity says “fuck the heroes fr” because well rock bottom does nothing to stop a man with a pickaxe and a lot of hatred in his heart. L
and that’s that! time to get the city back in order. the heroes, villains, and vigilantes all return to their regularly scheduled program. the plot is winding down. we’re in the falling action segment. things are coming to a close… wait what’s that? what’s this snippet written in my docs since the literal very beginning of this au?
….whoops.
[ i’m leaving this as a part one because holy fuck this got so long. there’s a whole second half. the falling action was a lie. oh my god there’s so much in this au help me ]

What are your hot takes?
guess i'm in the hot chair now oof
during the cookie outpost vs las nevadas conflict, it really seemed like people forgot that the cookie outpost was a cover up for the fact that it was an outpost with intention to spy on las nevadas and that it was offensive - and c!quackity was right to be concerned, c!tubbo and c!ranboo were being scrutinized for very good reasons
c!dream being redeemed would be a horrible writing choice, there is nothing that can be accomplished with such an arc that wouldn't be accomplished in a c!wilbur redemption arc - and way better, and would send a better message as well
c!sapnap is not going to be available for a c!dream redemption arc, he is one of the only people to vow to kill c!dream - only he's not gonna do it out of revenge, but because c!dream has done too much harm to be among people. if he escapes, c!sapnap is going to hunt him down; he's not going to give asylum in kinoko kingdom
c!george teaching dreamxd about humanity and kindness would be amazing to watch be explored more
c!niki's time in hell/limbo should be discussed more, what it did to her
main characters do exist on the smp, every character has their own pov which gives a fuller view - but some characters have a bigger weight on the narrative, some characters' povs can't be ommitted to understand the story while others can
c!phil being immortal alone rather than being immortal buddies with c!techno would be a way more interesting road, going through the pains of immortality - seeing the world change, losing people, trying to not form attachments because they'll all fade, seeing cities and empires rise and fall, the only constant being death (ties beautifully into the relationship with Her, c!kristin, death) - all alone would be such an interesting road for c!phil to go down
c!wilbur stepping away and avoiding c!tommy is a healthy choice for him, but is not doing what he wants to do - stop hurting c!tommy
c!ranboo is a very interesting character, but after so long - there needs to be answers for just some of the many, many questions there is about his character
c!clingy duo's friendship is one of the best, if not the best, developed relationships on the smp, and the conflict they went through in season two was the best decision - and i hope we'll see more of them when their lore return
anyway, that's what i could think, i'm not sure if they're all hot takes, but i am a bit tired haha

Who is Sam's prison for?
If you're not up to date in DreamSMP lore, Awesamdude, resident Redstone expert, was paid stacks of diamonds by Dream to make an inescapable prison. It is located in the ocean next to Bad and Skeppy's mansion and is VERY large. Supposedly it will be using Elder Guardians to keep a prisoner from mining out due to Mining Fatigue. Even if the prisoner dies of hunger, they will respawn inside. This brings up the question of how
1. they force the prisoner to click a bed inside the prison
2. how they keep the prisoner from breaking the bed.
Regardless of the mechanics of the second one, I think the first is a clue as to who Dream will trap inside the prison. Consider the 3 canon deaths lore. He has used the threat of permanently killing Tommy to get the boy to comply and click on a bed in Logstedshire. So a 'permanent death if you don't comply' is definitely an effective tactic but ONLY for people with one life left.
The main two options are Tommy and Tubbo (or Philza). Or, Dream is planning on knocking another one of his potential opponents, such as Quackity, Fundy or Techno, down to one life in the time it takes to build the actual prison.
Quackity and Fundy aren't big enough threats yet, although Quackity certainly has the potential to be a threat, in this season of the SMP, El Rapids isn't big enough of a threat yet.
Most people would assume Dream's biggest enemies on the server are Tommy and Techno. Techno's role in the grand scheme of things is, as of now, undetermined. However, as Techno is one of the authors of this SMP season, he likely has something up his sleeve. He is currently 'retired' alongside Phil in their Antarctic Empire skins in a snowy biome, but he has made appearances in Tommy's streams to mock the boy for getting exiled (just like Techno predicted with the Theseus analogy.) An alliance between the sleepbois is possibly in the works, but right now, both Tommy and Techno have made it clear there is still a lot of animosity between them. So I don't see Techno, and by extension, Phil becoming much of a problem for Dream (for now.)
Tommy, on the other hand, has been visited by Dream almost every stream while Tommy is exiled; Tommy has been manipulated by him, gaslighted and threatened. Despite making the very real threat of giving Tommy his final death, Dream has stopped Tommy from any, um, self-harming actions. Dream told him "I need you alive." Narratively, that means that Dream has plans for Tommy (they are, after all, each other's main antagonist). But Dream has also said that Tommy will remain on exile for a long time and he told Bad and Sam as they were building the prison that he doesn't intend on using the prison on Tommy (unless he begins to act up was implied.)
Because Bad and Sam (and Eret) are working with Dream, I would assume imprisoning anyone from the Badlands is out of the question. But I think it's interesting how Sam is the primary leader of the building project.
Dream said that Sam is the only one who will totally know the ins and outs of the prison. So that possibly means Sam is the only one who would know how to escape the inescapable prison. The interesting thing about Sam being included in this storyline is his connections. He and Tubbo are very close, and Sam is also friends with Tommy. Its not long of a stretch to assume that Sam's storyline might eventually lead to HIM breaking out whoever Dream imprisons. Tommy, for now, is out of the equation, so who does that leave?
Tubbo. Someone who many people are now considering Dream's puppet. Dream has been laying on the manipulation lately, playing chess with him, complimenting him and trying to increase the wedge between Tubbo and Tommy. You would think Tubbo is safe, so long as he remains pacifistic and continues to make decisions that are to Dream's benefit. But there are things going beyond the scenes that we, the audience, need to consider. The script.
Symbolism and chekov's guns have been sprinkled into the story line for a long time, and it feels as though the roleplayers have upped the ante. It's hard to think about Ghostbur' compasses without crying, but I literally can't stop thinking about what they mean. When it comes to the duo, despite their estrangement, Tommy still considers Tubbo one of the most important things in his life. He placed the "Your Tubbo" compass right beside his discs in his enderchest. Meanwhile, Tubbo held his "Your Tommy" compass in his offhand nearly all stream today. They still care for each other, obviously, but think about one of the reasons Tubbo exiled Tommy in the first place.
He felt like Tommy was choosing the discs over everything else. He felt as though the discs were the only thing Tommy cared about. There has to be a resolution to this. It's been shown by the story that the discs and Tommy's other obligations (L'manberg, his friendships) cannot coexist together for long without it driving a wedge between them.
Tubbo has been streaming more Among Us lobbies and modded Minecraft lately. When he comes onto the server, he nearly has nothing to do. He loves big project and building houses, but as of now, Tubbo has so little materials to even bother making a home and his largest project, the ocean monument, has been placed on the backburner while Sam builds the prison. Its almost....its almost like Tubbo is preparing his audience and for a period of time where he has no reason to be on the SMP. If he's imprisoned, that's not very good content to watch, is it? I also noticed that Dream pointedly did NOT tell Tubbo about the prison today, instead referred to it merely as a 'project.'
My biggest theory is that the prison is for Tubbo. Tubbo is complacent to Dream now, sure, but Tubbo is very, very smart, and- most importantly to Dream - he still has one of Tommy's discs. And Dream wants it.
When talking sweet to Tubbo no longer works, I think the prison will be the next best option. Its possible Dream will frame Tubbo for some crime (foreshadowed by how Quackity and George tried to frame Eret for Karl's murder), or someone will threaten to overthrow Tubbo and Dream will bring him to a 'secure location' to protect him. Tubbo is very nervous about losing his one life, as exhibited by the safe room under the L'mamberg podium, and other comments about his fear of becoming the next Ghostbur. Dream said that he would protect Tubbo if someone tried to overthrow him. The only threats to Tubbo's current presidency is El Rapids. Ranboo is willing to wait until the next election to become president, but Quackity has shown a strong willingness to do terrible things in order to get power. In Quackity's war against Eret and Dream, Dream made many, many references to Tubbo being a better leader, possibly sowing jealousy in Quackity's mind. Sapnap, George and Karl, as apart of El Rapids also have a bone to pick with L'manberg and may also play a part in further separating Quackity from L'manberg and fueling his desire to be the most powerful nation on the server. Absorbing New L'manberg could be the next step.
Dream could pretend to protect Tubbo by bringing him to a 'safe location', the prison, and getting Tubbo to willingly set his spawn inside. Once it comes to light that it's a prison, with Dream his captor, Tubbo will have to make a decision. Give Dream the disc in his enderchest, or stay imprisoned. Freedom, or the disc, a compromise that has been made time and time again on this server.
I think that Tubbo will hold out and allow himself to be imprisoned, while Tommy returns from exile to make a prison break, with the help of Sam. I doubt that will end well, knowing Dream.
I also think at some point, one of the boys will need to bend. Either Tubbo choses to give up his disc to Dream for freedom, or he decides to take the disc with him to his grave. Its basically the Exile decision all over again. Life/freedom, or the discs/war. Selfishness vs. selflessness.
The two boys are learning throughout this current arc to be more like the other. Throughout his Exile, Tommy will learn to be self sufficient and has had to make big sacrifices consistently as Dream blows up the progress he's made. He's learning to chose his own life over property. Meanwhile, Tubbo (although he's only streamed on the SMP once so far this week) has already shown regret for exiling Tommy, and inherently by choosing to launch a war campaign against Techno, he is learning to chose war and bravery over peace and cowardice. He will gain an appreciation for the disks and/or recognize with greater understanding what they mean to Tommy. Maybe he will learn to care deeply for his compass and learns how willing he is to wage war if the compass gets stolen. It's about the symbolism - its what the object means that is worth protecting.
I think Tubbo will die protecting the discs. Or, Tommy will tell Tubbo to give it up. This is a better ending, in which Tommy will learn that the discs represent is his friendships. And, according to Ranboo, they also represent power, according to Ranboo. But on the server, according to Wilbur (when he asks Tubbo to spy for him) people have always represented power.
To Tommy, in this arc, I hope he will learn that keeping the discs is not worth losing his best friend.

Dream SMP AU pt.3
Dream SMP Miraculous crossover pt.3. Read pt.1 for Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo, Ranboo, Techno and Philza. Read pt.2 for Fundy, Niki, Quackity, Karl, Sapnap, Badboyhalo and Skeppy.
Dream: Listen, we’ve all seen the villain Dream fanfics but I don’t want it. I just want all the Dream SMP members fighting against one big bad. But if you want you can give Dream the butterfly miraculous instead, but in my version Dream is the dragon hero Tuatara. He is very nonchalant and laid-back but likes to tease the other heroes, especial Maine Coon or Qinling. Besides that, he is usually quiet and takes orders very well and calmly has his own inputs. Very non-confrontational and steps in during arguments to mediate the situation. He makes a lot of jokes but never actually laughs (his wheeze is too recognizable) and is known for having a very calming smile. He never actually panics in a life or death situation unless it’s someone else in danger. And If you want he can be very flirty with...
George: After receiving a miraculous, George decides to fit the role and become more confident, assertive and amicable. The holder of the cow miraculous and the hero Rathi (you can change these names, they really suck). Rarely makes an appearance but when he does he’s with Tuatara. Rathi and Tuatara are a great duo and are very popular among fans and at every interview they get asked about their relationship status. Rathi is a very confident and extroverted hero and one of the most serious out of the bunch. Gets along very well with other heroes, civilians and the media. He is a very easy person to work with and a nice person in general. At times he doesn’t think things though and makes stupid decisions. He can also pretty lazy and when he’s tired he gets grumpy and only Tuatara can talk to him. And he’d be pissed at...
Schlatt: Finally, we have our villain. This one is pretty much up to you as regards motivation and story. He can be a threathening villain like Dream Smp or not like every other SMP. The only thing that is definate is that Schlatt is Tubbo’s brother. Schlatt is the butterfly villain Hawkmoth who uses peoples negative emotions to turn them into supervillains. I would love a redemption arc where Schlatt gives up the butterfly miraculous but a new villain wielding the peacock miraculous steals it. Badboyhalo feels that he has been redeemed and gives him the goat miraculous. The redeemed villain now called Kiko acts the same as when he was a villain minus the immoral stuff. I like Schlatt and Tubbo superhero brotherly duo (can you tell I prefer Brother Schlatt over Dad Schlatt?) and this duo and the main duo would make a really good team. But if you want you can keep him as the big bad. Morally questionable like...
Jack: The holder of the dog miraculous (idk man, you can change the animal). This hero is the most conflicted. On one hand, he could be a cool and calm hero or a rebelious anti-hero. In the end, he chooses both. The hero Jack Russell (I really like this name because it’s so stupid) is an easy-going, relaxed and carefree anarchist. He always has a casual and unconcerned demeanor and at the opportunity he will absolutely will set something on fire. The most morally grey out of all the characters. If he sees something that will make everyone elses lives more difficult he will do it. He is also really smart and is always scheming against the villain with elaborate, non-sensical and overly-complicated plans. Somehow, no one sees past his dumb, lazy and obvious name because everyone is stupid with bits like ‘I’m not talking about Jack, I’m talking about Jack’. Chaotic besties with Chimera in costume and Niki out of costume. The bane of the next hero’s existence...
Sam: He sees a bunch of child superheroes and vows to fight anyone who threathens them. Razorback the hero of the turtle miraculous and is the defender of the young heroes. Badass father figure number two. While Rook is more passive, Razorback is very clear that anyone fucks with the young heroes will have to get through him. Some of the older teens gave him the nickname ‘The Warden’ because of this. He gets along very well with Rook and are two thirds of the co-parenting group. Very protective of Maine Coon and Bumble both of whom hate how he always worries about them. Basically, Sam is the onlty sane person and the only one concerned about the discovery that most of the heroes are children.
Ponk: Kinda want to go the angsty route and have Ponk lose an arm to a villain attack (post Schlatt), recover and despite everything, earn the rooster miraculous. A determained hero who is a strong believer in justice and not seeks revenge. Probably the most honourable and admirable hero. Ponk wanted a chance to fight for the right thing and was given the chance. Selkie in the most inspirationally hero, commonly appearing on interviews and going to events for motivational speechs. Because everyone is stupid, no one connects Ponk and Selkie even though they experienced the exact same thing.
Next post will feature:

hello have some soft general thoughts on the dsmp, some of which can be used as prompts if u want!! (👀 i was gonna submit the last one as a proper prompt but i dont wanna make another ask lmao)
- edward the enderman (c!technos old roomie who i refuse to believe is dead) and ranboo get along rlly well. one time ranboo went for a galactic lesson and it was snowing and edward was brushing all the snow off him and it was kinda tickly n stuff and he was confused so ranboo had 2 very flusterdly explain what tickling was.
- new comfort duo dropped uh. fundy and sapnap. neway cheer up tickles after the failed wedding pog :)
- george wears rainboots. this isnt a tk hc i just think he deserves big yellow rainboots so he can stomp around in the rain
- idk why giving chars ticklish palms makes me go :] but theres something v soft abt it so anyways tubbo has ticklish palms and tommy only found out bc they were doing a stupid fortune telling bit and he was reading tubbos palms ty gn
- when phil first got his wings he had to get very used to them bc he was rlly feather sensitive for the first like. 5 years of having them. (we're going w immortal phil so thats not too long 4 him) death!kristen thought it was v funny
- when techno was younger and when he went into retirement, he would file down his tusks so they weren't sharp enough to be painful. wilbur feels nothing but Fear whenever technos in a ler mood bc jesus fucking christ the tusks+raspberries absolutely destroy my guy
- niki starts giggling when she hugs puffy bc puffy's at the height where her head fits into the crook of niki's neck and sheep hybrid hair go soft floof
- purpled has markings on his back that connected him to his ufo and soft tracing along them makes him go thru all stages of decomposition until he is simply a pile of bones
- the syndicate's main objective may be anarchy but their secret one is friend family. techno gets them books to read and trains them and niki cooks w them and ranboo teaches them the little ender he knows and how to chart maps and phil shows them how to preen wings and tells them stories and oh my god i cant believe theyr all happy and healthy (real) ((not clickbait))
- the butcher army was just a glorified series of sleepovers. u cant tell me they didnt just talk shit on techno and dream like the plastics from mean girls and do face masks and have tickle fights and watch shitty movies sorry.
- can u tell i really like all the group dynamics. its abt the found family/close friends what can i say.
- the dreamon hunters were just the ultimate crossover between buzzfeed unsolved and scooby doo. also bc i am a part of the 'sapnap is a little shit (affectionate)' agenda he would absolutely poke at the others while they explored dreamon infested sites just to make fun of them when they shrieked.
- tommy likes to do art and he has a shit ton of paintbrushes. coincidentally ranboo has also learnt to Run when hes in a ler mood bc the paint isn't wet enough to burn him its just v tickly and tommy likes to paint little feathers on his sides and tummy and then tubbo, being also of the 'lets torment ranboo bc we love him' ideals, traces over the little paintings when theyr cuddling and ranboo hates them both for it but also no he doesnt. he never really attempts to hide or stop them either.
-ponk anon <3
THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. I HAVE NOTHING TO ADD THESE ARE PERFECT
PONK ANON YOU ARE JUST SO COOL HOLY SHIT also is it okay if i save some of these as like possible prompts to write later. AKJFSJKKS

Dream SMP, But Make It Hardcore
Aka. What if you only have one canon live
This is written before 30 Days SMP, I know there’s no connection with DSMP but just in case XD
Before we start, we need to lay down several rule.
There should be at least one player death for each war/arc, with possible some exception.
In this au, there are majority two ways to cheat death: using the totem of undying and the resurrection book. Totem of undying can only be used if the victim is holding it when they on the brink of death. The resurrection book can only be used with equivalent exchange: a life for a life. Any methods outside of this won't be acknowledged temporarily. Except one that we’ll discuss later.
Thirdly, the existence of ghost. As far as I knew, the only ghost characters are Ghostbur, Glatt, and Mexican Dream. All of them are formerly death people. But so far, at least from what I know, there is no actual reasoning of how the three of them came to be. So, temporarily, we will pretend ghost doesn't exist.
Fourthly, if the characters have crucial role in the Arc, the role will be passed on to someone else. This is still in the juggling process, so there will be possible contradictions.
Lastly, I'm not versatile in Dream SMP lore. I only join after Tommy resurrection, but I have a vague knowledge of the previous season. Even so, I haven't watch all the POV, so I might mot know which canon death is important and which is not. I'll try my best and follow the wiki, you any of you can argue with me. I'm open for discussion.
Now with that out of the way, let's begin the body count.
Acknowledged Death
Fundy
Cause of Death: The Final Control Room
There is no denying that Eret’s Final Control Room is one of the most iconic scene in all of Dream SMP, thus any death that happens here would have bigger meaning: they died because of a betrayal, they died fighting for the independence of their beloved country. If they die here, they die as a revolutionary hero.
However, if we look in the L’Manburg gang, everyone has importance in future role: Wilbur with the Season 1 finale, Tommy with the Season 2 finale, Tubbo with the Manberg Festivavl, Eret with the Final Control Room, Fundy with the Schlatt Administration. But, if we hae to choose one, unfortunately, we have to choose Fundy. Wilbur and Tubbo has bigger role in the narrative of Season 1 and Tommy is the central character throught Season 1 and 2. However, knowing the future and Quackity lore, we don't know how far Fundy would go in depth. So we'll put a pin on this.
Tubbo
Cause of Death: Manberg Festival Execution
Canonically speaking, so far, Tubbo has lost two canon life: in the Final Control Room to Sapnap and the Manberg Festival Execution to Technoblade. Both events are crucial in the DSMP lore however I chose the execution because it kick-started the Manberg vs Pogtopia War even further. Tubbo’s death leads Nikki and many others to join Pogtopia and Tommy vs Techno Duel at Pogtopia. Unlike Techno, Tubbo doesn’t have the Totem of Undying, thus his execution is inevitable.
However, as we know, Tubbo’s role at the end of Season 1 and beyond is important. He’s the president of L’Manberg, he exiles Tommy, the Butcher Army, and the Disc Confrontation. If he dies very early in the story, many plot will be lost. So, temporarily, unless by divine intervention his execution is stopped, his lore will be given to Lani or Ranboo.
JSchlatt
Cause of Death: Heart attack at the the end of Manberg vs Pogtopia War
This is probably the first ever canon permanent death, so we had to put in here. Schlatt other two death are during the Manberg Festival, having caught in Technoblade fireworks, and Quackity assassination at The White House. Since we already have Tubbo’s death during the Manberg Festival, that only leave with Quackity assasination and his heart attack. But, considering his heart attack death ends the Manberg vs Pogtopia War, I choose this. I’m sure anyone would agree in this.
My only worry is the potential of Schlatt’s resurrection by Quackity. In rule two, you need one soul to resurrect another. Who would Quackity kill to resurrect Schlatt?
Mexican Dream
Cause of Death: Killed by Dream during Exile Arc
Poor Mexican Dream. The best character always die too early. But, according to this wonderful analysis video, Mexican Dream is very crucial to Tommy descend to depression during the Exile Arc. With Mexican Dream being the few people who visit Tommy during exile, his presence becomes quite importance to Tommy. Which is why when Mexican Dream dies, Tommy is left with no one else (but Dream) which leads him down a harsher path to depression and suicide.
Tommy
Cause of Death: Killed by Dream in the prison
We know that Tommy is the main character throughout Season 1 and 2, so why is he chosen for death? One reason: Wilbur’s resurrection.
All of Tommy’s death are actually important in the history of Dream SMP, but as we know, his role in Season 1 and 2 are too important that I can’t think of anyone else who can replace him. His death in the prison is a shocking moment and I’m pretty sure everyone remembers that. The main character is killed by the antagonist. Tragic isn’t it? And going back to Point 2, with Tommy’s death, Dream can resurrect Wilbur for whatever he’s planning for the future. A soul for a soul; Tommy death’s for Wilbur’s resurrection.
Antfrost
Cause of Death: Killed by Puffy during the Red Banquet
The Red Banquet is once again a staple event on the server. Even if it’s count as a side-arc, we can’t ignore any awesome moments surrounding this event (plus, nearly all characters that Quackity recruit in Las Nevadas Arc were invited to the Red Banquet). Thus, any death happening here will effected the Eggpire gang and the guest invited there. Back then, Antfront was the one suggesting that Foolish should be sacrifice first, which made him being a bigger target for Puffy and for her to gain revenge for the death of her son. Plus, Bad mentioned that the egg required energy gained from death to hatch, thus Antfrost (and Foolish) death will fed the egg more...
Survived
Quackity
Currently, we have Las Nevadas Arc with Quackity as the central characters, this there is no doubt that Quakcity is an important character. Heck, even before this, his role is very crucial in history. He challenged Wilbur in the election, becoming the vice president of Manberg and New L’Manberg, conducting the Butcher Army, and in Dream’s imprisonment.
Quackity has one canon death: his duel with Technoblade (the one death on the Manberg Festival by Technoblade has been retconned). So, knowing the imortance of his role in future Las Nevadas Arc, he didn’t die after the battle with Technoblade.
Jack Manifold
Jack Manifold probably had the most unfortunate deaths of all. He was killed by Wilbur because the dude just felt like it. He was killed by Tommy because he was too surprise. And he was killed by Techno during Doomsday. He’s like the SBI kids personal victim.
Now, out of all the death he suffered, I can only count his death to Techno to be the most crucial. However, Jack and Techno doesn’t have that strong relationship except Jack thinking Techno was an enemy because of Doomsday. Heck, even Jack isn’t written in Techno’s relationship list. Thus, I can’t make Jack to have a battle to the death with Techno. Compare this to Quackity vs Techno which already lit up during the Butcher Army incident, thus making Quackity vs Techno much stronger than Jack vs Techno.
Dream
Skeppy-BadBoyHalo
Originally I was going to count this as a canon death. However, their death happened before the Red Banquet, which was a bigger event. But I won’t deny that Skeppy and Bad’s fight is heart-wrenching in a way. Both of them are very close and it’s just sad to see them had a big fight like this. You can blame the Egg for messing with their head, but it lead to Skeppy’s death and Bad soon followed. You can’t deny how Bad and Skeppy’s lives are connected is quite cute.
Because both of them are the main players of the Eggpire Arc, we need to keep them alive until the end of the arc.
Cheated Death
Karl Jacobs
Origin Cause of Death: Manberg vs Pogtopia War
Method of Cheating Death: Time travel power awakening
Karl is an interesting character regarding the lore in Tales of the SMP. It had been confirm that Karl is a time traveler, however I don’t think we actually know when he got that power. Thus, if we want to incorporate this in lore we can take his death in canon and make it he could time travel for the first time, only returning when the war is over or before he was killed to avoid it. So, this is the only resurrections outside the usual methods I’m willing to acknowledge.
Technoblade
Origin Cause of Death: Butcher Army excecution
Method of Cheating Death: Holding the Totem of Undying
Canon, this is the first canon cheated death in the series so I’m keeping this, there’s no really a further connection. The execution, along with the whole Butcher Army is the start of Quackity Villain Arc, Tubbo descend into mirroring Schlatt, Bedrocks Duo, thus marking this moment as an important staple. Also, SAD-ist Hog Hunt, my beloved. But also, Technoblade is possibly the strongest member on the DSMP, seeing that even the strongest need to cheat to avoid death is interesting.
Foolish Gamers
Origin Cause of Death: The Red Banquet Sacrifice
Method of Cheating Death: The embodiment of Totem of Undying
Foolish is a god, the embodiment of the Totem of Undying, thus he has a personal connection with cheating death and resurrection. Same case with Technoblade but with more sinister condition. Even a god like Foolish can’t escape death and need to cheat to survive. But also, his death only fueled the Egg into hatching, which wouldn’t be good in the long run.
Wilbur Soot
Origin Cause of Death: Season 1 Finale
Method of Cheating Death: Resurrected by Dream with Tommy’s soul in exchange
Wilbur’s death is definitely an iconic moment considering this is the peak of his madness. The only problem is the existence of Ghostbur. Going back to Point 3 of ghost doesn’t exist, this would means Ghostbur doesn’t exist in this au. Which leads to Point 2 where you need a soul to resurrect another soul. If Ghostbur doesn’t exist, then who should Dream kills to resurrect Wilbur? Dream had only ever kill one person, and that’s Tommy. A soul for a soul; Tommy death’s for Wilbur’s resurrection.

Okay, if anyone would be making a soul eater au,
I think tommy would be a weapon
And for that, he has a strong bond to tubbo (mostly master and weapon tommy, but also ranboo). But mostly, Tommy fights for himself. Being his own master and shit. And he ALSO can be a master at the same time. Why? Because somehow, tommy can click with everyone. He has a great soul lenght and he knows how to make a conversation with EVERYBODY. New person on the server? Screw you, I’ll talk to them. And probably, Tommy would be a sword or an axe
More of the soul eater au idea down the cut
------
Phil would be a weapon, death scythe to be completely transparent. Also a katana He is also a teacher at DWMA, working directly under death, who is Badboyhalo. He found many children on the street and brought them there. He also is known to work with Captain Sparklez, a master.
tubbo is a master and one of the main researchers against insanity blood. He and Niki can sense souls, but not as good as Niki. Ranboo, who also works with Tubbo (and often Tommy), is a trident. He had memory loss when Niki found him again. He got also injected with insanity blood and thats a reason for his underman traits. Also, Tubbo, Tommy and Ranboo live together for their school years in one of the school dorms.
Sam is a weapon master with Ponk, his death scythe, a trident. They already finished their years at DWMA and are on missions. Now both are teachers. I like to think that they have many similarities to Doctor Stein. Sam also helped Tommy for a while, when he had Problems handling his amount of insanity. And Ponk being part Doctor!
Techno is a weapon master and Wilbur the weapon, a long katana. Also a death scythe. Techno got his pigling like hybrid form from getting some insane stuff inside of him, while protecting Phil, Tommy and Wilbur. In this au, Tommy was found by techno, Philza and Wilbur and then they just straight up took him home and “adopted” him. Techno also works often with Philza, when Wilbur couldn't go.
Badboyhalo our death in the story! He’s weapon master with Skeppy, who can transform to many different weapons, like Tsubaki. From small knives, to a long sword and even a gun. Also smoke bombs and traps, that skeppy just uses to troll others with. He is fuckin strong but also very kind. And imagine with Shinigami Chop?
Also Connor being weapon master with Schlatt being the gun, five stars. They already finished school, but are not death scythe and such, because Schlatt went fuck this and opened a bar, which the kids love to hang out.
Niki just out there being a badass master who also has wavelength control and soul perception abilities. Her weapon is of course puffy. To add on, Niki is a witch while puffy is a fire broom stick.
Eret weapon master and Fundy being a scythe. Fundy and Eret have like Techno different transformations due to the insanity blood. Eret with his white eyes and Fundy being part Fox. The joke of Fundy’s mother being a salmon came from Wilbur, getting a concussion so bad, he started acting like he was drunk. Telling Fundy he is his son and his mother a salmon. And nobody lets him down ever for that.
To add more spice, I will make Dream the kid of death with both his weapons being George and Sapnap. They are an axe (George) and a crossbow with fire ammunition (Sapnap). All of them are death scythes and they are on the last year. And Dream got crazy because he got much insanity blood inside of him, and had to be rescued.
Quackity and Karl (Sapnap occasionally teams up with them), are a team too. With Quackity being a hammer and Karl being the master. Karl is a witch, for that that he has time traveling powers, which later got found out. Quackity was, at the beginning, a learner from Schlatt, who thought him much, but later send him off for his years at DWMA.
Alyssa is a weapon, Callahan the master. Like Skeppy, Alyssa has many transformation forms. Alyssa is also very sneaky through her lines with Ninjas.
Punz and Purple Duo! Punz is the master while Purple straight up is a gun. Purple came with Punz from darker areas where games like Bedwars were played and were one day picked up by the Dream Team, asking if they wanted to learn how to use their power.
Also Foolish and Jack Manifold Duo. Foolish the master and Jack Manifold being a thunderbolt! Please! That would be so awesome! Jack has much power, but doesn't really use it and they constantly want to bring Tommy to fight them. Don't get me wrong, they are pretty strong, but sometimes a bit too chaotic.
MORE SPICE! Business Bay boys are students that are already out of school to their high power levels. They are an secret elite force and Tommy met them one day, nearly getting snatched by the enemy (He was around 8 or 10). Of course he somehow got more Brother figures. He does barely see them, but he really misses them and writes them many times! (Wisp is also part of the team). Wisp and Deo are Masters, while Luke and Bitzel are the weapons. Bitzel being a revolver and Luke a scythe.
And hey, Tommy saw Vikkstar fighting in real life, since then he is his biggest idol. Vikk is the master to his friend Lazar, who is a nunrjakos.

If ya have more questions, just ask me :)
I always like to answer them ;D

If you were put in charge of the Dream SMP's storyline (from the exact moment that Tommy got exiled from L'Manburg.), how would you move said storyline forward?
Hmm...
I feel like that’s kind of an impossible question to answer. Not one that I could answer well, at least. I’m not a good writer. And, mainly just because the story as it exists hasn’t ended yet. Everything to do with Pandora’s Vault? The Blood Vines? Whatever is going to happen on Wednesday? We don’t know where all these threads are going to end up tying in together, so attempting to create an alternate path where they end up is difficult, since I don’t know where they’re meant to end yet.
All these little hints and pieces of foreshadowing or set-up, I don’t know what missing pieces they’re meant to fit with.
That being said, I’ll try and give a proper answer.
I think the Exile Arc as it went was fantastic, and easily one of the best arcs when it came to pacing and acting. The build-up was great, it had its combination of fun moments, funny moments and sad moments, and Tommy’s realization at the end was a very powerful scene. It changed the status quo of how a plot could be, the stakes felt genuinely high in a way that Tommy’s previous exile didn’t, and by separating the clingy duo, we got to see both characters react to the plot in different ways and show how they differentiate from each other in their philosophies.
Loved it!
The ending, though, with Tommy escaping to Techno -- while I love the interactions we got between Tommy and Techno -- I feel like that could’ve gone differently. Most of the issues we’ve found with Tommy and Techno being pitted against each other and both suffering for it came about because their partnership was doomed to fail, just by nature of how their characters are.
Techno was too stubborn in his ideologies to ever come to an agreement with Tommy to let L’manburg live, and Tommy would never agree to hurt Tubbo like that, and I don’t think it’d make writing sense to change either character’s beliefs just so that Techno and Tommy could remain together. That’s not how Techno’s character has ever been written.
I think Tommy could’ve gone to live with someone else.
I think he could’ve gone to live with Sam.
Think about it -- the Blood Vines arc was beginning, Pandora’s Vault was commissioned, Sam is involved in both plots. He already established that he was willing to give Tommy a home on the first day of exile, he’s got Sapnap and George as roommates, and he’s a major player in both the Badlands and the prison plot.
This gives him some added conflict, and ties the threads into each other a bit sooner.
He’s already got some tension between his allegiance to the Badlands and his alliance with Dream at the moment, why not throw Tommy into that mix? He’s the one Badlands member who’s favorable to Tommy. It would make sense.
You’ve got a similar plot to Techno’s where Sam has to hide the fact that he’s got Tommy as a refugee, but without the disagreement in their ideologies that leads to them falling out.
I think the main issue with this would just be that Sam was very busy with building the Vault all this time, which is why it couldn’t have feasibly happened in canon. It’s just a nice idea.
Maybe just the Badlands in general could’ve housed Tommy? Get Antfrost and Bad involved? I dunno.
I also think it might have been better to have Techno actually die at the execution? Don’t get me wrong, the Totem exploding was really cool, and his escape to the Final Control Room was cinematic as hell, but I feel like his outrage at L’manburg for attempting but not succeeding in killing him made his subsequent destruction of L’manburg feel a lot less justified.
Now, with Niki’s arc, while I like that she’s getting into the lore a bit more, it just feels a bit sudden. She hasn’t had much development since the Finale of Season One, so unlike Fundy and Jack, whose arcs have been getting that gradual build-up throughout the season, Niki’s feels too unexpected.
I think instead, Niki and Puffy could have an arc together where, as the relationship between the Dream SMP faction and L’manburg shifts, they could reconcile the fact that they’re on separate teams a bit more. Puffy’s new hero arc is fantastic and I’d rather Niki join her on that than take out misdirected frustration on Tommy. Plus, the groundwork for it was already set at the time of the exile itself, as Puffy and Niki were the ones to witness Dream first building the walls.
That being said, I do get how that would be an unrealistic wishlist plot since Niki’s been busy with her other series and hasn’t had as much time to stream the SMP. A lot of the time, real life things interfere with the SMP’s plot, and that’s just kind of a fact of the medium that we’ve gotta deal with.
But again, who knows where the plot will end up going? I’m very intrigued by the Blood Vines and the prison, and those plots are still developing.
The use of environment in the plot especially has been what’s gotten me most excited. Pandora’s Vault and the Blood Vines would never have happened in Season One. Heck, there was a whole set up for a jail time plot point in the Manberg arc that was just never followed up on, even though that was a considerably smaller scale build. The Manberg Hotel never happened. The lakes were never filled.
But that’s a bit of a tangent for another time.
As much as it is easy to get caught up in what things could be, I’ve been enjoying seeing where everything’s going so far. It’s very different from Season One, but I appreciate that they’re evolving the story in these new ways and experimenting with the medium of the game more and more.
As chaotic as the plotlines can be, and how messy everything is, I also appreciate that it’s a very collaborative story right now. It’s far from perfect, but... I feel like for all its chaos, Season Two’s really been taking advantage of this extremely unique format of storytelling. So many characters who were sidelined in Season One as side characters are getting a chance to tell their stories. I like that.
There’s been a lot of comparison between Wilbur’s writing style and the current group writing style going around, and honestly?
I like both!
It’s a grass is greener situation. This is a bizarre medium to work with. There’s no established “right way” to run a Minecraft roleplay server storyline, so there are going to be pros and cons to any approach.
But yeah. I am not a writer! Who knows if it would actually have been any better with those changes.
And again, I have no idea how the story will go, because from what we’ve heard from Tubbo and Dream, a lot is about to happen. Doomsday wasn’t a season finale, it was just a midpoint.

Hot take: tubbo is the best actor on the smp and not enough people notice because they're too focused on the people that make their lore flashy and noticable
Tubbo is the only character to make me genuinely cry. I love Tubbo's lore and his story has so much potential I hope he explores it. I think he gets overshadowed and unnoticed because the 2 he is with are Ranboo and Tommy who both have so much lore. But Tubbo (and Sapnap) have some interesting lore. It's like in every TV show the main focus was the main character however the fan favourite was the "sidekick"
He was prepared to die for the discs on multiple occasions and almost everyone glossed over that. He was targeted by Techno and Schlatt because he was a loyal friend to Tommy. He was manipulated by Dream multiple times.
Honestly if the DreamSMP was a chess board Tubbo would have been the Queen because with the Queen everything else crumbles, without Tubbo, Tommy wouldn't have been able to get the discs, without Tubbo, Dream wouldn't have had any leverage, without Tubbo, Fundy, Niki, Ponk, Jack etc would have been stuck suffering even worse under Schlatt and Quackity's rule. Without Tubbo a lot of things would be very different and not in a good way.
Even if Tubbo doesn't want to do his own lore I think his story would make him an excellent addition to the Eggpire(especially because of the Nukes). Or even just a therapy session because I think he needs it more than everyone else purely based on the fact that he had to watch his best friend side and team with the guy who murdered him at the festival he organised also because everyone seems to trauma dump on Tubbo.
Honestly I would love for Tubbo to visit Dream in prison because I think Tubbo is one of the only people who'd have an honest civil conversation with Dream and would be one of the only people to listen and understand his reasoning for what he did. He wouldn't agree but he'd understand. Like I think they're an underrated duo in terms of similarities. Like they both ended up in similar situations however Tubbo took the better route whilst Dream took the bad one.

Dream SMP AU pt.2
Dream SMP Miraculous crossover pt.2. Read pt.1 for Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo, Ranboo, Techno and Philza.
Fundy: He is really tired of getting made fun of. Everyday he gets bullied - in a loving way - and called a furry. And then he, of course, gets the fox miraculous. How ironic. Fundy decides he is not gonna be made fun of as a hero. Fennec Fox with the power of illusion is a sly, devious and mysterious character. He quickly and easily tricks most villains and does so with an air of smugness around him. If it goes the other way around and Fennec gets trapped he usually pouts until saved and gets salty after being rescued. Unfortunately, Fundy is cursed to be seen as a furry - even though every single other hero is also animal themed, there is even a cat, wolf and rabbit hero - and he gets mocked by the heroes - affectionately. He usually gets them back and plays a load of harmless pranks for fun and no other hero has successfully pranked him back. But no matter what he can’t escape his title unlike...
Niki: Everyone loves Niki. Who doesn’t? She is just too sweet and kind to not love. But sometimes people get sick of being nice and want to go apeshit, right? Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that she hates being kind, she just wants to let loose and be a bit wild. So when given the axolotl miraculous (mouse) Niki saw this as an opportunity to be a little crazy. Chimera is the cutest hero with adorable feathery gills, pretty pigtails and cool costume but she doesn’t really act typically cutesy. Ba Xuyen may be the most chaotic but Chimera is the most feral. Chimera is an unhinged, demented force of nature who would not hesitate to bust through a wall, a window or a ceiling to stop Hawkmoth. She is pretty destructive but Pipistrelles power fixes everything so why not break shit? And that is Chimera’s motto. She is an unstoppable force that destroys anything in her path. Her personality is quirky, brash and energetic. She’s like a caffeinated axolotl on a sugar rush with a completely empty head and no thoughts. The other heroes know not to get in her way or question her methods with the exception of Jack’s persona (more on him in pt.4). They aren’t scared of her (aside from Maine Coon at times) because she is too bright and cheerful to be scared of, unlike...
Quackity: Lets face it, he knew he could never be a superhero. Quackity is way to recognisible because of his mysterious hair, scar and demeanor. Thankfully, in costume still hides his hair with a beanie but his eye scar and demeanor are still too noticeable. So what did Quackity do? He decided that he cannot act like himself whatsoever. He has to talk like someone else. He has to act like someone else. He has to fight like someone else. He has to be the opposite of himself. And who is the opposite of Quackity? Techno. Yep. These two idiots, completely independent of each other, pretend to be their best friend as their alter ego. Quackity gets the duck miraculous (the horse in canon) and the power to create portals. The hero known as Cayuga (have you figured out I suck at names yet?) is deadpan and threatening but at times messes up and says something only Quackity would say. Cayuga and Ba Xuyen have their own duo and become good friends. When it’s only the two of them they drop the personas and act more like themselves. They might know each others identities and they might not. The two are best friends anyways. Cayuga also has a good relationship with...
Karl: Surprise surprise, he gets the bunny miraculous that allows him to time travel. Not much is known about the hero as he is a lone wolf when it comes to his job and only drags one hero along with him at a time. When with another hero he is fast-talking, impatient and twitchy. He seems like he doesn’t have time for games and goes on many paranoid and anxious rambles. Despite all this, he is very open with the other heroes and encourages them to do the same. He has an air of experience around him and tells stories of his time traveling adventures when not fighting. Even though he loves telling stories, barely anything is known about him. The public aren’t even aware of his existence. The heroes theorised that he might know their identities. All they know is that his name is Harlequin and they mostly go on missions with Cayuga and...
Sapnap: The holder of the panda miraculous (dragon is cool but panda is cute) and the power to transform into water, air or lightning - Its probably a good thing he can’t turn into fire after ‘the incident’. In this AU, Sapnap took martial arts classes to learn self-control after ‘the incident’ and also for self-defense. (The idea for Sapnap knowing martial arts popped into my head and I ran with it.) When given the chance to be a hero Sapnap embraces the composed and temperate part of himself all while showing of his hidden combat skills. So, the hero Qinling a martial arts expert, a calm, disciplined and determined warrior but at times is pretentious and egotistical. He’d probably have a rivalry with one of the other heroes. As a civilian, good friends with...
Badboyhalo and Skeppy: The two keepers of the miraculous box. These two are the ones handing out miraculous’ like candy on Halloween and not always for great reason. Skeppy initially suggested giving the bat and cat miraculous to Wilbur and Tommy because he wanted to see how long they could go without figuring out each other identity and who would find out first. Badboyhalo on the other hand believed that their chemistry would create an unstoppable team. Every hero after that was chosen because Bad believed in them and Skeppy wanted to see them as heroes. They know all their friends’ secret identities and never reveal themselves unless the plot demands it.
Next post will feature:
