Did we raise you to want to flee this house?" The words curl around Chikage's heart and ring familiar. They're hers, too. Her mother gives a dry laugh. "And then when we got over ourselves, we still worried. Would you ever send letters? Would you be okay out there in the wild world, with nothing to tie you down?" Chikage realizes with a start that she hadn't once thought that Kaito would be incapable of caring for himself. If it was Toichi, maybe she would've. Not Kaito. She's seen Toichi at his worst, where she didn't dare leave him alone, where he wouldn't bother with making sure he ate or slept or survived. Kaito has always been okay, no matter what. Kaito adapts. "In the end," her mom says, "the choice wasn't mine, and it wasn't your father's, and it wasn't your sister's. We could worry and worry and hope, but we could never keep you. It wasn't right to keep you." Chikage stays quiet. For the first time in years, she doesn't have the right response on her tongue. "You were capable of making your own choices, and this is the path you chose, and we could do nothing more but accept it."

I’m so sad it’s over but this week was really fun!

thinking about the matter/antimatter mixing around in their bodies physically and forcefully binding their souls and making them soulmates in the most literal sense of the word.

logan tries to move out on his own at one point after settling in 10005, but he cant. it physically HURTS to be away from wade for an extended period of time. he feels his body breaking down.

both of them feeling the universe physically forcing them back together. to the universe theyre one being, and the most important one at that. they NEED to be together. the universe said so, even if neither of them wants it.

but they realise they do. through the forced proximity they realise they care about each other. understand each other in ways that no one ever has.

Kuro is always the one to die first. Mickbell is the one that has to go through the anguish of knowing he saw the only one he truly considers a family die. Look at his face when he realizes Kuro died/is going to die.

Mickbell doesn't cry here because he's afraid for his own safety or scared of what just happened. He cries because Kuro put himself into great danger and got killed.

I'll always wonder what would happen if Mick gets killed first.

The Tragedy of Sky and Viktor

As a kid, Viktor chose Singed over Sky.

(Understandable. He couldn't play like she could and she didn't express her interests in his invention then.)

As an adult, he chose to use Singed's Shimmer Variant over her Research.

(Again, he was backed against a wall, literally dying, and he didn't know about her notes or if her research could even help. The timing and miscommunication wound up augmenting his body but getting her killed.)

Now, alive, he chooses Sky and returns to their home.

(Seeing the blueprints for Hextech weapons and Jayce's blatant promise breaks to save his life didn't help.)

But it's not her anymore...

And he's become something new.

Recent thoughts have been plaguing me.

Whumpee talks a lot, sings a lot, shouts when they’re in pain and their laugh is really really loud. Just a loud Whumpee. And their whole life obviously they’ve been told to shut up or lower their voice. But Caretaker never told them that, they said they loved all of Whumpee’s sounds. They always knew who was laughing in a crowded room, always knew where to find them if they stubbed their toe

That is, until whumpee messes up some mission by being too loud. Maybe i's a small mission, maybe its a big one. Doesn't matter, either way, whumpee fucked it up. the whole team blows up at whumpee about it, and they're sorry, but they don't feel TOO too bad. That is until they're giggling at their phone later that day and Caretaker suddenly screams

Oh my GOD can you not SHUT UP!?

Later (blah blah blah plot) Whumpee is taken by Whumper, their enemy. Whumper promises Whumpee they'll return them a 'useful teammate.' Whumpee just has to admit their biggest flaw to Whumper and then they’ll be good!

The team hasn’t been looking for Whumpee for too long before they show up, looking perfectly fine (if a little tired). Caretaker keeps asking if they’re okay, what happened, do they need anything, but all Whumpee does is nod, shake their head, or give a thumbs-up.

Caretaker and the team begin to doubt if Whumpee was even taken by Whumper. They think they just ran off on their own after everyone yelled at them and are choosing not to speak to ‘punish them’ for what they said. They start to speak about how nice and quiet it is around the base with Whumpee no longer screaming and shouting all the time.

That is, until Caretaker sees Whumpee stub their toe again. They flinch, expecting Whumpee’s shrill scream, but there’s just silence. Whumpee just up and down and holds their foot, pouting, but no noise.

Caretaker confronts them but again all they get is body language, no speech. Annoyed, they drag Whumpee to medical, expecting the team’s psychologist to knock some sense into them, only for medical to discover a large scar on Whumpee’s neck they’d been hiding with makeup and clothing.

Whumpee had asked Whumper to ‘debark’ them, had asked to have their voice removed. And now Caretaker and the rest of the team would live in absence of their singing, giggling, and jokes.

But the team doesn’t realize they asked, they think Whumper did it by themself. They don’t know Whumpee asked for it, believing it the only way to become useful to the team.
