Do you guys remember when I reposted a story I made from when I was 12 lmao
The Whispering Bridge
There he stood, young Inigo Davies listening to the bridge as it whispered to him. The water below was still and calm, the sky above gunmetal grey. The people walking by didn't pay him any mind, they treated the day just as any other in Ekegrove Circle. In truth, he was thinking. Thinking of what you might ask... well I don't think it would do harm to tell you.
He was thinking of the trains at the station running to and fro', and the angels he could not see. The little mouse cowering in fear at the sight of the mighty spirit. The tongue of a bribe stealing souls from the wind. A flute screeching as a girl screamed. He was thinking of things that didn't make sense, but why?
These are the things the bridge were whispering to him, the wind howling through it's golden pillars, speaking directly to him. Every day at 5:15 pm he would stand and listen to what the bridge would say. Most days it was utterly nonsensical, and others it was devious tricks to put up his sleeve. The bridge was something he looked forward to after work, sometimes it even asked him questions!
"What happens when you encounter your worst unknown fear?" "Who do you know is dealing with a ruthless mental battle?" "Have you truly seen the majesty of an Appaloosa horse?" Sometimes he would answer in his mind, other times he would stand there not knowing what would happen next. He could only ponder about the whispering.
One day Inigo was at the train station setting on a train to Hungrove Castle, where he would be visiting his brother. The train began to move, causing the wheels to hiss and spark as the whistle blew. He was a mere 15 minutes into his departure when the train made a sudden stop. Everyone was looking around concerned and confused, and he was too, until the bridge spoke to him out of nowhere. As if hearing the bridge on a train wasn't frightening enough, it uttered the words...

Aubrey McFadden Is Never Getting Married
by Georgia Beers (Author)
All of Aubrey McFadden’s college friends are tying the knot, and she’s been invited to five weddings. Five. In one year. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate so much love and romance?
Aubrey, that’s who.
She’s going anyway, of course. It’s not her friends’ fault her college boyfriend left Aubrey on the day of their wedding. Lies, selfishness, unhappy surprises…no, thank you. And you know who’s responsible for her permanently single status?
Monica, that’s who.
Their friends all say Monica Wallace had a thing for Aubrey back then—not that Aubrey cares one little bit why that still makes her heart race. Monica convinced her best friend Cody that marrying Aubrey, settling down, and locking himself into a 9-to-5 at the expense of his dreams would be a huge mistake. Cody called off the wedding, and Aubrey has never forgiven them.
Aubrey McFadden is never getting married, but she does have five weddings to attend, and she’ll be avoiding Monica at every single one.

Dear, Vector Prime.
Sideswipe, who was supposed to have died in the battle on Earth in IDWSG, has come back to life as new body with partner. Could you tell us what happened to him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear Sideswipe Searcher,
Fresh from their victory over Megatron, the maniacal Optimus Prime and his army of Autobots rampaged across the planet, looting whatever resources they could find and funneling them into the construction of an Ark II that would take them home to Cybertron. Their rampage was thorough; within a matter of months, the victorious Autobots had obliterated most major population centers and crushed the remnants of the world’s various armed forces—as they launched the Ark, Prime gave the order to salt the earth by having Blaster hack into the planet’s various defense systems and authorize the indiscriminate launch of hundreds of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Many weeks later, Megatron awoke, seemingly the last sentient being on Earth. As the critically damaged Decepticon limped through the graveyard that had once been Los Angeles, he discovered that the Autobots had simply left their dead and dying to rust where’d they’d fallen. Megatron was instinctually repulsed by the notion of desecrating the dead, but realized that he needed repairs—and that the bodies of his former friends and enemies might be the only way to source Cybertronian parts until he could make it offworld. As Megatron lifted the body of one such downed Autobot, whispering a brief apology for what he was about to do, he suddenly found a pair of hands wrapped around his neck! As it turned out, Sideswipe had also survived the battle of Los Angeles, but had been abandoned by his comrades and left to die—even his spark-brother Sunstreaker had turned his back on his critically wounded sibling, with a parting sneer that Sideswipe had always been the ugly one.
Initially, Sideswipe wanted nothing more than to return to Cybertron and exact brutal revenge on everyone who’d abandoned him; in his current condition he could barely stand, let alone fight his way across millions of miles of interplanetary space back to Cybertron. After salvaging whatever they could from the battlefield to patch themselves up, the pair decamped to the nearby city of San Francisco, where they established a base camp on the burned out remains of the Golden Gate Bridge. Not long after, they discovered a Cybertronian Decepticon warship and the prone body of a tiny stasis-locked Decepticon named Whisper. It didn’t take much energon to jump-start Whisper’s systems, and the three set about slowly repairing the downed warship over a period of many months. As they worked, Megatron and Sideswipe had a long time to reflect on their past mistakes and come to some kind of understanding—in time, even Sideswipe’s once-legendary bloodlust faded into a resolute determination to atone for his past misdeeds.
However, when the time came to finally launch the ship, Sideswipe made a shocking discovery—a small group of human survivors had established a small village on the outskirts of the city. It quickly became clear that they would not survive on their own—they would need access to Cybertronian technology and someone with the knowledge of how to properly use it. That night, by the feeble light of the human’s campfire, Sideswipe told Megatron that he should go on without them, and wished him luck in his mission to rebuild the Decepticons.  Touched by the gesture, Megatron bade his new friend farewell—but not without first declaring him an honorary Decepticon.
The next morning, as Sideswipe leaned back on the cracked asphalt of the Golden Gate Bridge and watched as Megatron’s jury-rigged vessel lifted into the air, he took a moment to carve a new insignia on his chest, beneath the ugly gash that now ran through his old Autobot symbol… then turned back to the pale, haggard humans who looked to him as their new leader and protector, and set to work.

i do think this is all going way too fast. i was more understanding with s1's pacing but i genuinely believe the show would be a lot better if all the events that happen in these 2 seasons were stretched out over 3 instead.

As we approach KoWT (not calling it WaT. Its full name may be Wind and Truth but KoWT is its acronym) I was hoping to attempt an animatic to this song as a send off for part 1 of Stormlight because the lyrics super fucking vibe with it but surprise surprise, no dice. Maybe I'll do it in time for December.

Do you consider September 1st the start of Spooky Season™ or do you want until October?
Personally, the season officially starts September 1st, but unofficially, it starts when stores start putting out decorations. I couldn't care less about summer, so here are some book recs that are perfect for Spooky Season™ (regardless of when it starts for you)!
This is by no means an exhaustive list or even exhaustive themes. I grouped things into broad categories and am happy to go into more detail if needed/wanted.
All books are listed below the photos.

Your tags to an earlier ask about Cam rearranging the stars for Becca if she asked got me thinking...how far do you think Becca would be willing to go for Cam? (I mean, our girl's already inserted herself in the middle of a homicide investigation to help the one(1) cop she likes) but I guess I'm just curious about the differences you see in their love or faith or devotion to each other and how it relates to that gaping 10 years of silence wound theyre both kind of not talking about.
Have I said how good yalls questions are?? I am really in awe of every single one of you
Rebecca is such a hard character for me to figure out tbh but I feel like there are a few universal truths that show just how much she cares for Cam. She’s writing a book essentially about Cam, she came back to Victoria because she couldn’t stop thinking about Cam, and she is the one that continually reaches out to Cam. There’s a constant pull Becca feels and it’s gotten to a point where she can’t ignore it. For Cam her expressions of love are tangible, acts of service. She wants to help and be there and act the part of lover. For Becca I think it exists in much more of the abstract. Therefore she sees her reemergence in Cam’s life as the biggest act of devotion.
Which is why I think Cam struggles most outwardly with Rebecca coming back. She doesn’t understand that this means love. Cam thinks ‘I loved you so much and you left’ while Becca thinks ‘I loved you so much I came back’
