The far-right conspiracy theorist also claimed Trump told her he believes she actually “won” her 2022 election against Rep. Prior to the fallout over her trips with Trump, Loomer gave a September 3 speech to the Villagers for Trump 47, a pro-Trump group based in The Villages, Florida. During that talk, she discussed events referenced in a New York Times article from April 2023 in which the publication reported that Trump had unsuccessfully tried to hire Loomer. At the time, Loomer declined “to comment on private conversations that I had with the president.”
