MEOW!!! ok!! tbh most of my top ones u probably already heard of or seen b4 LOL but first is probably the first Scream (1996) !! (also this list is in no particular order LMAO)

- based. classic. matthew lillard <33 all the goodies!! one of the first horrors i ever watched under my parent's noses LOL. 14 year old me was bisexually smitten <3

- og tcm, tcm the beginning, and leatherface! i also actually liked the 2022 version even if it wasn't particularly spectacular compared to the others--brain empty leatherface hot <33 (also there's some dilf eye candy u might enjoy hehe)

- friday the 13th 1 & 2! the og is soooo close to my heart i love. him <3

- carrie & jennifer's body......lesbians u know what's up.....i love weird <3 off-putting <3 unhinged <3 rage-fueled <3 demonic women <33

- the boy (2016)...................brahmsie.........he got me by the throat 💀💀 unfortunately i am not immune to huge dong-itis

- fear street! the whole trilogy is great (lotsa cuties <3 its got maya hawke!) but the 2nd installment (1978) is my favourite!! summer camp + interesting lore + continuity + axe-wielding maniac ahhhh! also im workin on the part 2 for my tommy slater fic 4 those who liked it hehe

- the ritual (2018) and prey (2021) are two non-slasher horrors i rlly like too! the ritual was based on a book i rlly enjoyed & its about 4 friends who go on a hiking trip in sweden n get lost n hunted by an eldritch deity--very cool if u like psych thrillers! prey's a german film (it's a little slow at times but i liked it!) so long as u don't mind subtitles its pretty good! same vein as the ritual, friends in the woods gettin lost & hunted n its got lotsa blood. i found it pretty creepy at times & the plot twists were cool imo! would you rather (2012) is another non-slasher i liked that's more death game media but i haven't watched it in a longass time so i can't speak on how good it holds up LOL

- most likely to die (2015). now. hear me out. i don't think a single person ive recced this movie to irl has unironically enjoyed it & not made fun of me for liking it but it has a special place in my heart........listen. it's dumb. but it has a psycho in it that i kinda love & i actually RLLY like the design of the graduate. so! if u have nothing better to do then give it a watch ehe </3

- for korean movie enjoyers: #alive, zombie movie so not rlly horror but the protagonist is a cutie & i got properly spooked in a few places! train to busan in the same vein, zombie movie + dilf protagonist + unending horrors <3 which brings me to not a movie but a netflix series: the silent sea! properly spooky dystopian space scifi that most certainly gave me the willies!! reccing it also cause....hehe....dilf

anyways! those r just off the top of my head so there's probably lots more im not thinkin of, & i got lots to watch now thanx to the recs so im gonna be goin on more deep dives <33 muahahaha!

Before Space |Yun-Jae|

I looked around around the memorial reading all the names carefully carved on the memorial. I've been here so many times it's hard to count. I always come here for some closure. My brother happened to be part of the people who died at the Balhae Base research station. My brother always carried a diary about anything he experienced and the day he left he took that diary. I want to know what happened and seeing his handwriting would give me all of what was left of his research so he wasn't there in vain. That's the reason I joined to be part of the group going there. Well and making sure my boyfriend doesn't do anything stupid. He wasn't happy seeing me on the roster when I didn't tell him I was going. He argued that it was too dangerous to go but I managed to at least calm him down.

"I still don't know why you decided to come," He said looking at the memorial as well.

"I can't let you get hurt" I shrugged. "Plus you have a daughter to come back to so I have to make sure you stay alive."

"I'm not going to die," He said. "I'm just annoyed you didn't tell me"

"Your still on about that?" I rolled my eyes looking at him. "You do know nobody is supposed to know we're together right?"

"I know"

"Is it gonna be weird calling you Captain?" I smiled.

"Don't get me started"

"No more Yun-Jae for 24 hours or babe or honey"

"This is going to be annoying for to because instead of sweetheart or darling, it's Mrs. Y/l/n"

"Oh god your right"

"Sometimes I question your degree" He teased.

"Rude and I was gonna ask if you wanted to kiss one last time before we heat up so no one sees" I teased back looking at my nails.

"I was going to don't worry about that," He said dragging me to a secluded area so no one would see.

"What-"

"Supposed to be a secret right?" He said as a wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Unfortunately," I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

He looked at me his eyes weren't filled with lust it was filled with sincere love. We both leaned in and took our time. It felt like this could be the last. Once we pulled away our foreheads touched together.

"We'll leave this together no matter what," He said softly. "I can't lose you"

"And I can't lose you," I said in a similar tone. "So we have to survive together like you said no matter what."

"No matter what," He said back as a pulled him in a hug he hugged me back and we both held on to each other not wanting to let go but we had to.

"I love you so much" I pulled away to look him straight in the eye.

"I love you too" He smiled softly.

We heard the faint noises of pain talking about the mission and we both sighed at the same time. I let go of his hand the warmth leaving immediately. I looked back as I walked away as he waved giving his signature smirk.

"See you soon Captain." I teased one last time.

"You as well Mrs. Y/l/n," He said he pulled out a ring and back to me without me seeing him smiling brightly"Soon to be Mrs. Han Y/n," he said softly putting the ring back in his pocket.

With that, I walked away to meet with the others waiting for Yun-Jae to appear. I would leave 5 minutes before him so it didn't look like we were a couple. Everything will be okay and we'll all be safe and sound on the way back home.

i always get to a point in scifi shows where i get incredibly frustrated at the lack of antiseptic technique. its about 20 minutes into episode 3 for the silent sea ❤️

Here’s a list of all the Kdramas/Korean movies that I watched in 2023 + some of my thoughts (spoiler free)

The Glory

-Gonna be honest, I only started watching because Kim Hieora and Jung Sung Il are in this show.

-But I ended up really liking it. The bullying scenes were horrifying, the characters were memorable, and overall it was very well made.

Stranger

-HWANG SIMOK! I love him so much! BAE DOONA! I love her so much!

-I loved all the characters and all the twists

Stranger 2

-This season was good too. Seeing the dynamics and relationships between all the characters change was so interesting

Unlocked

-IM SIWAN! The reason why I watched this movie <3

-Is it the best and most unique movie? No. Was it pretty good and entertaining? Yeah!

All Of Us Are Dead

-Even in the zombie apocalypse they’re not free of bullying.

-My heart broke many times. Those poor kids didn’t deserve to go through all of that! (Except Na Yeon. I still don’t like her.)

The Glory Part 2

-Not the typical type of revenge. But I think it’s a very fitting ending.

Physical 100

-This show inspired me to start taking better care of myself.

-Watching everyone hype up this show so much then watching all the controversies come out in real time was crazy. Looking forward to season 2

Kingdom

-This show was on my radar because that zombie dude from Physical 100 said he did the choreography

-I love all of the characters and the zombies were so freaky

Kingdom 2

-The Queen might’ve been the scariest part of this show

-I love this show, season 3? Maybe?

Kingdom: Ashin of the North

-Han Ho Yeol from DP?!?!

-It was really interesting seeing another side to this story

Silent Sea

-BAE DOONA! GONG YOO!

-I don’t understand why this flopped. I really liked this show!

Siren: Survive The Island

-I was team athlete til the end! (I thought Kim Seong Yeon was hot)

-If there isn’t a season 2 I’m going to fight Netflix

-I really like this show. It really gave me hope and it honestly inspired me to work harder. I’m also trying to learn to play baduk

-So many emotions. The ending left me feeling a bit empty. I’ve grown so attached to these characters and now it’s just over.

The Wailing

-I think I need to watch this a second time to really analyze it.

-I really like the sfx makeup

Monster

-Accurate representation of neurodivergent people/mentally disabled people? No.

-Interesting villain and fight scenes? Yes

Hide and Seek

-I really liked the twist and how eerie the vibes were

Memoir of a Murder

-I love unreliable narrators. Not knowing what’s real and what isn’t really puts you on the end he of your seat

-Also I didn’t even realize that was Kim Nam Gil

The Policeman’s Lineage

-I only watched this for Kwon Yul

-Decent story but I feel like it fell short of its potential

Hansel and Gretel

-Solid start but I didn’t realize that it was going in the direction that it did

-Not the ending that I expected but I’m satisfied with it

Ballerina

-Honestly, they were so over dramatic when it came to the bdsm stuff. Like okay, he’s kinky. That’s the least concerning thing about him.

-My mom got me to watch this because she likes Kim Ji Hoon

The Mimic

-Interesting concept with interesting characters

-The ending was so fitting, I’m very satisfied with it

Champion

-Another movie I watched for Kwon Yul

-I really like this movie, it’s very comforting and funny

Mother

-This is a cautionary tale, you cannot tell me otherwise!

-I was SHOCKED! It was just so sudden. I don’t know how to explain it without spoiling what happened.

Sweet Home 2

-Interesting. I’m not sure what I expected from this season but this wasn’t it.

-I found it entertaining but I’m not quite sure if I like how they’re approaching this new thing that they’re doing.

I'm catching up on the episodes of Doctor Who I seem to have missed and now I wonder if The Waters of Mars (the 2009 Autumn Special) was the inspiration for the Korean series The Silent Sea. A spooky moon base, bodies dripping with water... The Silent Sea is scarier, though.
