little update

i know this fic hasn't garnered a lot of traction, but i am genuinely very excited for the rest of the secret origins verse- though honestly, i am still trying to figure out what direction to take it. i also want to thank those who found my fic via ao3, even if they do not have a tumblr because holy shit i was not expecting this kind of a reaction (?) - words are hard right now, i am so sorry heh

though i will say that things are going to be very interesting for the remaining four parts; of course, secret origins is only one small part of a much larger story and i am off the walls bouncing about it- that being said, i am genuinely struggling what fandoms will be overlapped in the next one, so i figured i could leave it up to poll

(I realize American Dragon x Miraculous isn't an option, but I am holding off on that one for now- I can't think of anything for it at the moment although I do have plans on how to connect the magical world in ADJL and the Kwamis of Miraculous. That however, is spoilers and we'll be covering that in future fics!)

I probably will be opening up an FAQ later on down the line! That is, if I get enough people interested in this idea!

For now, I'll probably be working on the sidelines to write the lore because holy shit do I have plans- between the Sorcerer in RC9GN to the Dark Dragon from American Dragon, there's so much left to happen. Without much further ado, I will leave this here!

Feyre Archeron | headcanon/writing prompt ACMOF inspired | hemophobia, a fear of blood

“Feyre.” Tamlin’s exhausted voice interrupted her thoughts and Feyre looked up from her place in the chaise in a complete daze. “You’re bleeding.”

“Huh?” Feyre blinked, coming to a slow realization that she had lost place in her book long ago. The pages were scattered with torn fingernails and broken skin. Her fingers ached. She’d ripped into them of her own accord, subconsciously seeking for any way to release the pain she still carried from all those months under the mountain. Her hands began to shake. She couldn’t escape it.

The violence.

The blood.

It was a part of her now. Awake or asleep, it came for her when she least expected it. It hunted her, as she had once hunted wolves.

“Feyre.” Tamlin had been resting on his own chair, only a foot away. He’d dozed off, but was quick to notice her distress. He knelt down beside the chaise, taking her small shaking hands inside his own bigger ones.

Feyre’s wide eyes stared straight past him. Her stomach spun in circles. She couldn’t escape it. His hands were warm. They should be comforting; but her most basic instincts to fight or fly took control. “Let me go. Let me go. Let me go.”

She struggled in his embrace and hot tears began to pour down her thin cheeks. It had been days since she’d eaten. Longer since she’d slept. It wasn’t much different for him.

Instead of letting go. Tamlin adjusted his arms so that her limbs were free. He buried his face in her soft stomach, letting his own shoulders collapse in misery. He needed her. “Please. Stay.”

Stay.

That word. That tone. It echoed through Feyre’s mind. The adrenaline slowly faded, until all that remained was the racing of her stubborn heart and the static energy rushing through her limps. The steady embrace of Tamlin’s arms around her middle was like a golden chain which anchored her to reality.

She took in a deep, unsteady breath and knit her bloody hands through his blonde hair. “Don’t let go. Don’t — don’t you ever let me go.”

She collapsed to her knees and crawled into his lap, where they curled up near the heat of the study’s fireplace — completely shattered, but broken together.

Feyre crawled on top of him, with nothing on her mind but safety. She lay on his chest, listening to the rapid thump of his heart.

Blood. She reminded herself. Blood belongs to the living.
