Hard Feelings was a simple, cute idea of Hinata caring for an andriod Sasori. Where Robot!Sasori wonders if his feelings are real or the result of programing.

Or rather, it was a simple and cute idea that I was going to turn into a one-shot, but ... I may or may not have written 5k words in notes for it in one sitting, and I didn't even get to the end.

there is no goodbye. You place the forehead i kissed hundreds of times down on the couch and i never see Your eyes again. between struggled breathing You let out a sigh repeat the words i’ve just said and i never hear Your voice again. i’ve tried hundreds of times i can’t remember what it was like before the last moment. when You loved me believed I could do no wrong was that the day We looked at christmas lights what did We have for dinner did You even hold My hand? i remember the apartment very dark. You must’ve had work gone to bed i didn’t join You. there’s a photo of me in Your mirror standing with only underwear on in the living room sent to him. less than thirty-six hours later You turn the lock to the bathroom door And i never see You again. i've tried hundreds of times i can't remember the last time i said i loved You.

Daddy’s home

My daddy’s home is a lonely place. He lives alone, or he thinks he lives alone, but I’ve seen him sleep next to grief. Grief is quite the lady. She keeps making him cry and gloomy and ill, but she serves a purpose, and it’s to make him feel, because daddy denies himself his humanity of being allowed to feel. In that house also lives nostalgia, a cute old lady that makes daddy think back to when life was kinder to him and we were a family. When mommy still loved him and me and my brother were children with stars in our eyes and hearts full of innocent love. Daddy shares a coffee each morning with hate and sadness. He doesn’t like them very much but he enjoys their company, even when all they do is rot his soul between stale coffees and fast burning cigarettes. I no longer visit daddy, because daddy no longer loves me, not even mommy. I still wear him in my heart, because daddy is a human like me, and a wounded child desperate for love he never received. But I’m also a child, I’m also desperate to be loved. I want to save daddy, but I rather save myself. I still have to admit I miss daddy, but I miss myself even more when I leave me behind to tend to him.

why do I have to feel things. it would be so much easier not to feel anything and just go through life like a machine. but no, I'm cursed to feel everything too much, read too much into every interaction, and over think everything. maybe I'm meant to love and not be loved. heal but not be healed. be alive, but not really live.
