Got invited to a Broadway-themed birthday party this weekend.

I took forever to decide on a costume, but am rather thrilled with how my Moulin Rouge turned out!

Beachwood Knucklehead Red (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Really excellent representation of the style -- tons of malt character here with the roast and caramel and a touch of breadiness. There's a nice earthy and citrus hop presence throughout as well, and while the body is maybe slightly thinner than I'd go, this is really enjoyable.

But I do think it's a really obtuse reading of it to assert that Paul and Care and "Pall" are not the same person. But I'm trying to entertain the thought just to look at it from another angle

Pure Project Red Rock Ridge Amber Ale (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A straight-ahead amber ale with a really nice toffee and bready malt notes in the nose with a bit of candy -like fruit notes. A nice change of pace from things and great malt character to this light-bodied yet quite complex amber ale.
