I'll never understand why Ai "artists" call themselves artists.

What the fuck are you saying, if I go and buy a pizza and ask them to make changes that doesn't make me a pizza maker does it?

I don't go around and say "omg look I made this pizza guys" because I didn't make it.

Obviously with ai art is worse because you didn't even pay a human being and it's using stolen informations but.

I just don't see the logic. I'm not a pizza maker. You're not an ai artist

This whole «Lorelai is evil and so is Rory and Emily is the real MVP of the show» shtick is getting on my nerves.

Like don’t misunderstand me, I love Emily and Richard. They are interesting and complex characters with strengths and weaknesses and a whole lot of baggage (like almost everyone in Gilmore Girls, except maybe the Town Troubador). But they aren’t this perfect well meaning couple with an ungrateful daughter who refuses to accept help and grow up.

Lorelai is not perfect either by any stretch of the imagination. She’s presumptuous, stubborn, used to getting her way and struggles to see things from more than one angle, but she’s also kind, hard working, supportive and able to strike a balance between being open and setting boundaries. She’s a complicated, flawed person, like all good protagonists should be (as opposed to heroes). And she doesn’t fight with Emily or cut her parents out because she’s being immature, she’s doing it because they genuinely hurt her several times.

Imagine if things had gone exactly like Emily and Richard wanted things to go. A 16 year old Lorelai would be married against her will to a guy who would likely then spend the rest of his life under the thumb of his parents for the «mistake» of having Rory. Her social life, her work, her education, all of it would be heavily monitored by Emily and Richard, as they would insist she only engage with what they deem respectable work and social circles. Lorelai in the DAR, Lorelai running charity functions, Lorelai staying married to a Hayden. So much of what makes Lorelai herself would be gone: the inn, her friendships with Sookie and Michel, cooky hobbies and a band of semi-adopted misfits and Luke.

Certain people (not many but still some) seem to forget exactly what it is Emily and Richard ultimately criticize Lorelai for, because it’s not her childish remarks at Friday Night Dinner. They criticize her for her lack of university education. For her lack of a high status job even though she runs a successful inn that she co-owns herself. For her terrible pick of men - not because of how they might be as lovers but because they’re not high society and not the kind of wealthy guys who could let Lorelai retire to the life of an affluent housewife (like did we forget that one of the times Lorelai cut them out was because they refused to accept LUKE?). Hell, they usually don’t criticize Lorelai for reasonable issues with how she raised Rory, they criticize her for not controlling Rory’s love life more.

I do think Emily and Richard love Lorelai and Rory, and that at the end of the day they want them to be happy (otherwise none of these characters would fight so hard to stay in each other’s lives). But time and time again they let their love of status and fear of a bad reputation stand in the way of recognizing their daughter and granddaughter for what they love and for what make them happy. Dislike Lorelai all you want, Rory too, but don’t come here and tell me that Emily is the one in the right.

also for the record. showcasing $1000 meals may or may not be tasteless but its also not a massive expense compared to the budget of any given show. like high production costs are not bc they show off gold flakes or whatever. it's just a dumb argument to make.

i know most of it is memes, but it seems like some ppl took it seriously. the overproduction and bloated budgets are not just "worth it" revamp problems. they're bad with money but expensive food is not the core of that, duh.

But because this coincides with the books becoming feysand oriented she just like transitions from anti slavery love interest to both siding love interest which is HILARIOUS

srsly, like fine i can deal with completely dropping the humans cuz that’s just the loss of a far more interesting plot, but to then put the both sides dude on a pedestal and act like what he said wasn’t the least bit problematic is…..😬😬

What’s up, HoloNet! The name’s Ben. Currently 24 years old. I’m the only son of an Alderaanian princess and a Corellian scoundrel, and I have an adopted sister named Rey.

I started this blog when I was fifteen and afraid of becoming a Jedi. To make things worse, I started hearing voices in my head…voices that turned out to be someone who wanted to control me. Luckily, my friends and family got involved, and Snoke seems to have backed off.

I did make friends with some of Uncle Luke’s Jedi students, but I ended up attending the University of Naboo (Go Shaaks!) and got my degree in Journalism, since I’ve always been interested in writing, history, and politics. (Scroll back enough, and you’ll see my cringe pro-Imperial phase from back in the day. Yikes.)

I stayed on Naboo after graduation, and now I write for The Chommell Sector Daily. In my free time I lift weights, write poetry, and fight with people online.

Near as I can figure, the parties winning various recent European elections are opposed to ecofascism, fascist speech controls, fascist industrial and agricultural regulations, and do not favor the genocide of the indigenous (of their own countries).

there may be some uncertainties or disagreements on the tumblr but at least people are civil and chill

i tried to talk a bit on twitter and ask something and it ended poorly lol

imma just chill here. Ill avoid interacting with shipping much considering i get why people say its wrong but i also understand what people say here

The not shipping thing is very cultural to the minecraft community (darn you cmc), people are constantly terrified of breaking boundaries, but it’s kinda become a power high were you can pretend to be morally superior by pushing it. Tubbo has not said anything about shipping, so if you personally don’t want to see or interact that’s chill, but the twitter users calling it some inexcusable sin are just on power highs.

There is no real reason to say shipping qTubbo is bad, but there is a surrounding culture in the mc community to consider it disgusting. Like if someone wants to say hey I don’t feel comfortable shipping characters of actors that knew each other when one was a minor, it’s a bit strange but understandable enough. But they need to end it there, “I’m personally uncomfortable” that is it.

not even JRR Tolkien, who famously developed the concept of the Secondary World and firmly believed that no trace of the Real World should be evoked in the fictional world, was able to remove potatoes from his literature. this is a man who developed whole languages and mythologies for his literary world, who justified its existence in English as a translation* simply because he was so miffed he couldn't get away with making the story fully alien to the real world. and not even he, in extremis, was so cruel as to deny his characters the heavenly potato. could not even conceive a universe devoid of the potato. such is its impact. everyone please take a moment to say thank you to South Americans for developing and cultivating one of earth's finest vegetables. the potato IS all that. literally world-changing food. bless.
