#Per60 - #49
I am amazed how TDR has literally shaken the whole of TPGA (too) to make this list. And trust me, it’s hard work! It’s blood and sweat - hard work!!!
*huugggsss* and I really am giving those out from my heart!
“Monster Hangover” - no such thing as a “Monster Hangover” or any mention. It’s more like a temporary name like Paul McCartney named “yesterday” as “Scrambled Eggs”. Yes, I observed that too! TDR observed it in a deeper detail.
#Per60 has a great edge, you know? His songs are sometimes in another language, something released under the Roxette label and sometimes under Gyllene Tider. And under Per’s work whatsoever. One song, multiple categories.
“Monster Hangover” is representing GTs “72” - and it’s got it’s fair share of description too! Yayy!
What’s next? Ghost in the house? Or is it the Sasame Street Monster? Elmo? Cookie Monster? Hmmm, I mean, Gabriel was once little too, not long ago!
Love and Peace

Roxette - Let Your Heart Dance With Me
Let Your Heart Dance With Me is one of the last recordings Roxette ever did and is released almost a year after the tragic passing of lead singer Marie Fredriksson. It was planned for the Good Karma album but didn’t get ready on time but when Per Gessle started digging in the archives for material for the upcoming box set Bag Of Trix this exclusive track finally got finished.
The music video showcases Per and Maries’ close friendship and long companionship that led to the worldwide success. The video was created from Per Gessles private archives.

Please ignore any spelling mistakes thank you 😊
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a calm day at UNIT HQ y/n was in her office, she has the day off and decided to clean a bit up. She grabed the record player and plugged it in, she looked trough the records and decided to pick knockin' on every door. She put the record on the player.
đŸŽ¶Hey now honey
You got to face the floor
You headed for the heart
But you couldn't find the door, could you?
Could you?
Well, I'm standing in the sun
But I'm living in the rain
I got to get a-whirlin' like a human hurricane over you
Over youđŸŽ¶
Y/n picked up two pencils and started drumming on the desk and sing along to the song
đŸŽ¶Now you're looking like a fox on the run
And you're faster than a shot from a gun
I'm pointing at you, oh you
Talking 'bout you, hey you
I thought we had love in store
You keep on knockin' on every door
Babe, I've seen it all before
You keep on knockin' on every door
Ain't no lovin' you ignore
You keep on knockin' on every door
Keep keep knock knockin' on every door
You keep on knockin' on every doorđŸŽ¶
Jo walked past y/n her office and heared the music she opend the door and walked in she saw y/n dancing around to the music.
"Hey y/n?" Jo tapt her on the shoulder
Y/n turned around and put her hand over her heart "oh jo please don't scare me like that", "sorry" said jo sheepsly "i just walked by and heard the song i was just wondering what its called", "oh yeah its a song by roxette its called knocking on every door but the song won't come out thill 1991 i found it in the TARDIS music archive, i absolutly love this song but they made many more Nice songs, my absolute favorite would be June afternoon", "oh i would love to hear it" said jo, "sure i have it here somewere" y/n looked trough the records and found the one she was looking for "ah ha here it is"
đŸŽ¶Didn't I tell you everything is possible
In this deja vu?
Try the river boat, the carousel,
feed the pigeons, Barbeque.
Look at all the people, happy faces all around
Smiling, throwing kisses, busy making lazy sounds
It's a bright June Afternoon, it never gets dark
Wah-Wah! Here comes the sun
Get your green green tambourine, let's play in the park
Wah-Wah! Here comes the sunđŸŽ¶
Y/n grabed jo her hand and spun her around she joined in with the lyrics
đŸŽ¶Some folks are on blankets, slowly daydreaming
And reaching for their food
Let's go buy an ice-cream
And a magazine with an attitude
And put on a cassette, we can pretend that you're a star
'Cause life's so very simple, just like la-la-lađŸŽ¶
They havent had fun like this in a while, the doctor and the brigadier were looking for both girls as they walked past y/n her office they heared the song play.
The brigadier stormt in opening the door starteling the girls "what in the blaze is going on in here?", " Oh brigadier joining us for a dance?" asked y/n. " No miss y/l/n i want you two to stop this and get back to work". The smile fell from both of their faces, y/n turned off the record player. "sorry brigadier its my fault" y/n looked down at the ground. "Oh come on now brigadier let the girls have some fun nothing happend the past few days so i don't think it would hurt" said the doctor. "Alright fine but if something is going on i want you two to come to my office", "yes brigadier" replied both girls. The brigadier walked away and the doctor turned to y/n and put his hands on his hipps and smiled "have you been looking trough my music archive?", "em mabey" y/n looked at the doctor with a little smile. Jo interupted them "Do you two would like some tea? because im going to get some" , "sure sounds good" replied y/n. Jo walked out of y/n's office. "should i put on some music?" She walked to the music player and put an other record on the player
She twirled around and grabed the doctors hands and started to walz trough her office while humming along with the song.
đŸŽ¶Anyone who have a love close to this
Knows what i'm saying
Anyone who wants a dream to come true
Knows how i'm feeling
All i can think of
Is you and me doing the things
I wanna do
All i imagine
Is heaven on earth
I know it's you
Anyone who ever kissed in the rain
Knows the whole meaning
Anyone who ever stood in the light
Needs no explainingđŸŽ¶
The doctor placed his hand around y/n her waist and started to slow dance with her, y/n put her head on the doctors shoulder and closed her eyes they wer lost in the music. When the song was over the doctor softly grabed y/n's chin an turned her head up "But darling most of all I love how you love me" sang the doctor softly and then kissed y/n.
The end
Sorry its so short but i wanted to Wright something cute 😊đŸŒč

TPGA - For?
After listening to the whole of The Per Gessle Archives, there is one thing which it made me realise.
This box set, 10 CDs, 1 LP and booklet has been custom made for fans and only fans. Others really won’t be interested in listening to the demos or how the songs have originated.
When was the first demo recorded or was it acoustic or a synthesiser based recording, knowing why all these songs don’t have Marie won’t make sense to a person who just likes a song or two of Roxette.
Gessle especially selecting so many songs out of different recording devises and then mastering them and then making the fans experience years of talent. And the re-recording demos of old songs. It’s a amazing.
Thanks Gessle, you really are the best.
Love and Peace

April & September
My day passed listening to different versions of “Come September” as my dad grew up in that time. But I didn’t mind that at all. In fact, it was fun to enjoy something which made him feel so young. “September days of scarlet, April morning dew”  Line from the song “Like Lovers Do”. September days of scarlet: En vacker dag April morning dew: En vacker natt Doesn’t fit well, does it? Per probably wasn’t thinking about this song line either. He must have forgotten about it by now. “Pearls of Passion” - the only time he remembered it was when he released “The Per Gessle Archives”. And then there is of course “Wish you the best”  September clouds Shaped just like shells September rain Should fall somewhere else There is September in this song. And guess what, it got modified into “April Clouds”.  Hmmm.... Per seems to love mentioning these two months, and some how link them together.  Coincidence or is it the Northern European Spring-Autumn factor?  There is another September song called “September Girl” which was a part of “The Lonely Boys” project. Nisse Hellberg is the main guy behind that song, and there is no reference to April there, so lets skip it, shall we? Love and Peace 2/9/2017

Tit-Bit from the end of June 2017
I can't take out "Tittar pÄ dej nÀr du dansar" out of my mind today. I was like literally craving for this song and when I finally heard it, my mind kept repeating it, and it's just going on and on and on inside my head. Btw, this single for released, any update chart wise? Ah, this "En vacker natt" is too addictive. Since a whole month, that is the only CD in my car, and with this one playing on repeat since then, I did not even listen to the radio. If "En vacker natt" is so addictive, how crazy would we be getting on the 1st of September on the release of "En vacker Dag"? And we've already been told that both the album sound pretty much the same. This reminds me: why has The RoxetteBlog not make a report on the "This is PG" Spotify podcast (or whatever you want to call it). Curious, you know? *wink* On the other hand, there is this special edition of The Per Gessle Archives, which has some pen/pencil, bag, signed photo or Per along with the musical treasure (10 CDs, 1 LP). It is like releasing the RoxBox again. Those who have the box set with them, won't probably be buying it again, unless they find it in a second hand shop (which the generation after 50 years would be doing so since they won't know what to to with CDs and LPs). Also in the news are Per Gessle's new glasses, in the video in which he was promoting the TPGA box set bag. No one liked them. Now a single fan. Many won't buy them even if they were on sale. Did Per get those glasses for free or someone gifted him? So, that was a little tit-bit from the week. Have a happy comin Saturday. Love and Peace 23/6/2017

High in the Sky
Do not be afraid, I will lead you Come and catch a dream with me Do not be afraid, I will protect you Come and catch a dream with me Do these lines sound familiar to you?  If I were you, I would’ve not known that it is one of the sweetest songs which has been written by Per Gessle.  I did what TDR did with the awesome Rox memes. Yes, exactly, i translated the Swedish lyrics to English (via Google translate which takes away all the essence of the language). But this song here, even after being translated, is really sweet with it’s lost essence. The melody and the way Per sings it, one can tell it’s beautiful.  I was looking for a “Oh my God, this is such a sweeeetttttt song” written by Gessle, and I found just a few in English and here, I just translated the first song I heard and voila, it turns out to be a “squeaky sweet” song. Let me take the suspense away now.  The song is “Högt i det blĂ„â€ which in English means “High in the Sky”. It was present in the 3rd Volume of “Demos and other fun stuff” of The Per Gessle Archives. Per gave this song to a local band “Sven-Ingvars” and they pretty much did justice to it.  Its a really really beautiful song. I mean: High in the sky All your love takes me up into the blue And we travel as light from the sun In time and space against an unknown country Cute, ain’t it? Even the translation seems cute people!!!  I wonder why Per never used this song for Gyllene Tider. It it pretty much a GT song more than Roxette or even his solo material. And it would’ve sounded really nice if he kind of made the Gyllene Tider DRUMMER GUY WHO’S NAME STARTS WITH A ‘M’ sing it a little!!!!! Yeah? You know what, I love this song so much that i’ll rate it #1 in the whole of TPGA! Yea, the best song from 10 CDs and 1 LP!!! BIG COMPLIMENT!  Listen to it, even if you don’t understand Swedish, this song will make you smile for no reason.  I wasn’t aware of it’s meaning before today, and I used to smile on this song! Turns out the heart understands music better - Universal Fact.  Bye Bye January 2017, you turned out alright! Thanks. Love and Peace 31/1/2017

Over Dosage of Baby Songs
OK, I have not heard “Being with You” till now, and I haven’t even read any review about it till now either - except not too bad/not too good! Hmmm.... But I really liked this song on The Per Gessle Archives. Should I keep my fingers crossed? Yes, out of all the singles mentioned in the “Small Town Talk” album, “Being with You” didn’t come in my mind. But yes, I haven’t heard it yet, so give me some time.  So, while talking about Roxette with my brother - he came out with a cool little theory!  “Make my Head go Pop” (2001) and “Crush on You” (1999) are two songs which make no sense! And they really don’t if you listen to them. In fact, they seem like songs written when you’re slightly more... Tipsy! Or high!  Then he’s like “Maybe Gabriel was too little in these years and he was listening to too many children’s song, that’s why he came up with such lyrics”.  Made sense. Was Per listening to too many baby songs? Love and Peace 24/8/2018

“Different” Song
“Name you Beautiful” is gonna be released this Friday. Notice how Gessle just LOVES to release his singles, his albums on Friday? Yeah? Enjoy the weekend with a new song. But well, he’s not the only one. That is how the music industry works.  Per loves to ask for suggestions when it comes to his tours. Although keeping the super famous ones in their standard position, he does manage to put a “different” song here and there. Like in his Summer Tour in 2017, he managed to add “Segla pĂ„ ett moln" and “Honung och guld” in the setlist. Mostly, the “fans” know about these songs. THESE, and of course, the songs from the new album make there place easily too. I am expecting “Name you Beautiful” in the setlist too.  English versions from Nashville, hmmm.... Will they be there too? (Pfffttt... Of course). Now, for “Per Gessle’s Roxette 2018″, how many “different” songs are you expecting? The “Gessle over Europe” had plenty of “different” songs, I have to admit. Roxette tours managed “Paint” which was highly requested by the fans.  When Per asks for suggestions, all sorts of songs get popped up. From his old solo stuff, GT’s “Heartland Cafe” album (labelled under Roxette) and of course, “Pearls of Passion” -  which Per just LOVES to ignore.  Fans and People dig really deep when it comes to song suggestions. They remind you of songs which are completely forgotten, but their enthusiasm is worth an applause. You can also find suggestions from “The Per Gessle Archives” demo, to very common songs from “Look Sharp!” and “Joyride”. But please, don’t think about “Physical Fascination”.  Hmmm.... I do like “Pay the Price” from the “Have a Nice Day” album a lot. But, not happening, no expectations. And yes, “Touched by the Hand of God” - I wonder why Per doesn’t put that song on a pedestal, right? Thanks Kai (TDR) for this suggestion reminder.  So, lets just wait till October and get to know which “Different” song got picked for the tour. Note: Ah, GESSLE!!! I was so looking forward to be a part of Nena’s gigs in Germany or Austria, but Nnnooooooo.... You just had to plan something too!  Love and Peace 20/3/2018

Let's Compile
Wikipedia says that Roxette came out with 8 compilation albums and 3 box sets. Compilations include: Dance Passion Rarities Don't bore us, get to the chorus Baladas en Espanyol The Ballad Hits The Pop Hits A collection of Roxette Hits: Their 20 Greatest Songs! Greatest Hits Roxette XXX - The 30 Biggest Hits Strangely, I can't really remember this Greatest Hits compilation between 20 hits and 30 hits. But honestly, whenever we think of Roxette and Greatest hits, only "Don't bore us, get to the chorus" comes in mind. The Ballad Hits and Pop Hits do come too, but not the first picture. Also, we all take "Rarities" more like a proper album then a compilation, don't we? Another thing which took my attention in Wikipedia was in the box set list, "The Per Gessle Archives" have been mentioned. I'm taking about the Roxette section. Should it be there? It's Roxette and yet not Roxette. It's as Roxette as Gyllene Tider was for "Heartland Cafe". Let's compile, shall we? Love and Peace 12/9/2017

Poor "En hÀndig man"
I'm sorry, but I really can't help mentioning Nena. Her music is like a stress releaser to me now a days and I really hope to remember them with happiness though. And I really think that her song "In meinem Leben" would be a good way to grab a few nice words of German. So, after hours of listening to Nena, I suddenly heard Per's voice in the song "Dixy". Yes, the very same song in Per's "En hÀndig man" album. It was in 2011 when I was super struck to this album and realised how less have we talked about it. Although the whole album got its demos released in "the Per Gessle archives" and yet, it barely gets to be discussed. My personal opinion is maybe EHM didn't follow with a tour so it never got that super duper attention which every other album got. "Son of a Plumber" didn't have a tour as well, but I guess the language was enough to make it get famous. I think it's a wonderful album, and I shall write a review about it very soon. Very Mazarin-ish and yet different. The poor album didn't even get an representation in the "En vacker kvÀll" tour. Not even the title track, not even "jag skulle vilja tÀnke en underbar tÀnke idag". Did you notice this? I'm sure it has been noticed. But why? Wasn't it fine enough for concerts? Come onnnn!
Update: There was a "En hÀndig man" tour in 2007, the year when the album got released. It was a super big summer tour in Sweden, and super successful too, besides it has MP too. Thanks Chrissie for letting me know about it. Love and Peace 9/9/2017

DJ Per Gessle
Per Gessle - Summers - 9 AM to 11 AM - Radio show host - Mix Megapol - Brilliant! When the RoxetteBlog shared this news, I couldn't help but smile. It's sweet, exciting and very very interesting. Gessle being a Radio DJ. He's not just a regular guy in Sweden, he is probably one of the most famous people to even exist in that country. A star doing a radio show is a big deal. A star doing a show for 2 hours, 5 days a weak is a great deal. The bigger deal is Per sharing the song writing process - YES - that is the most exciting part for Roxette fans. Let's hope he doesn't just repeat what he said in his books or what he told Sven in the Per Gessle Archives interview. Woah - does it have to do something with the TPGA bag promotion? Now I'm thinking why has Per said yes to this? And knowing that July-August are tour months. When will he manage the shows? Are they gonna be pre-recorded? Or are they gonna be live from his hotel rooms from all over the country of Sweden? Anyway, it's exciting, very exciting! Dear Ms. PP, I'm already waiting for the translated reviews on RXB *wink* Love and Peace 30/6/2017

Mats Ronnander
I have found this amazing collection of 20 albums from 2012 which has the best of Swedish pop. I have heard 2 albums till now and I can't help loving the amazing pop approach of the Swedes. They're just brilliant in whatever they do I guess, but pop is definitely their game and they're the ones who know its rules the best. The first album obviously was enough to impress me since it had: - Juni, Juli, Augusti - Gyllene Tider - Ännu doftar kĂ€rlek - Marie Fredriksson Making it a representation from both Per and Marie (which ultimately means a Roxette representation). There was also: - Vem tĂ€nder stjĂ€rnorna - Eva Dahlgren I'm a fresh Eva Dahlgren listener and I absolutely love her. Thanks CR for introducing her to me. On the other hand, Eva has worked with Roxette sooooo, you know...! The second album had a fantastic song called "Gör mig lycklig nu" by Mats Ronnander & Kim Larsen. You're gonna love it if you're a fan of Per's solo stuff. I tried to search for this dude "Mats Ronnander" to see at least how he looks (or maybe if he has performed a song written by Gessle). Guess what Google found for me: http://www2.dailyroxette.com/node/956.html Yessss!!! A link from TDR which is from 2003 (14 years!!!! It has been 14 years since Mazarin!!!). (Yayyy TDR, 20 years and we're still consulting your archives). Turns out this guy has been on the same stage where Per was to perform later. Yes, he opened the Mazarin gigs. It turns out that the person who was the last to comment on this news from TDR also heard the same song which I heard today (Gör mig lycklig nu). Seems like all the good artists are always interconnected, don't you think so. There are another 18 albums left, I guess there is quite some Swedish pop treasure waiting to be discovered. The Roxette Catalogue
I've just realised that I have a lot of Roxette albums which I need to hear and write about in the year 2017. But what I did instead was hear the French Skyrock charts (too crazy hip-hop, the French leave the Billboards behind when it comes to rap and hip-hop - believe me in this). There is this song called #Askip by Black M, that is real fun to listen to, I'd say give it a chance. No kidding, there are these following albums which have to be heard for a good observation: - Dance Passion - Unplugged - Party! (Unofficial) - Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus - Rarities - Baladas en Español - The Ballad Hits (incl. Bonus tracks) - The Pop Hits (incl. Bonus tracks) - Myths (unofficial) - Rox-Box - Live Recordings - Demos - B-Sides - Unreleased Stuff - "I Want You" with Cia And this shows that the list goes on and on and on! (Yes i know I've missed a few more albums in between). There is so much of Roxette out there for us fans! Have you ever noticed how impressive is the Roxette catalogue? And once you're done, you have The Per Gessle Archives where he shared 4 CDs and 1 LP filled with the initial stages of the songs Per wrote for Roxette. And if you're a big fan, then you're to listen to Per Gessle and his catalogue, Marie Fredriksson and her musical treasure, Gyllene Tider and their fun filled awesomeness along with their hundred million greatest hits and bootleg albums. Really big fans also follow what Dea, Helena, Christoffer and anyone associated with or was associated with Roxette is making. SS12 (Space Station 12 - Per Gessle's record label) is introducing artists who we are always willing to listen and admire. So, a Roxer always have something to listen to! Now do you feel blessed? Clarence and the Hat
And today's winner of Ghost Tracks has been a song from Room Service called "Try (just a little bit harder)". Another amazing article and analysis by Stevo. Check it out here: Ghost Tracks: TRY And not just that, we got a double treat from TDR with a "TPGA for Dummies" The Per Gessle Archives for Dummies I'd like to give it the following cover:
Tumblr media
Cool, ain't it?  Anyway, I came across this picture today and for a second I thought it was Clarence Öfwerman, but of course it wasn't, neither was it Elvis Costello.  Here, this one, check out the bottom left image:
Tumblr media
Clarence looks a little like that one, does he not? And look at this Costello and Clarence style resemblance too:
Tumblr media
And this next one:
Tumblr media
The middle man (Elvis Costello) looks a like our own Clarence and the long haired man next to him (i'm sorry i don't know the name) looks like dear Professor Lundquist. Doesn't he? I guess he does. I mean When I checked out this image, it was enough to bluff me a little since there is a woman who we can (sort of) mix with Dea. So yes, pictures pictures and pictures.  Love and Peace 5/1/2014
