Gyllene Tider - Sommartider 1982

Puls is the third studio album by Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider, released on 26 August 1982. The album peaked at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart and number 12 on the Norwegian Albums Chart. "Sommartider", written by Per Gessle, is the song that throughout the years has become considered the band's signature song. It was released as a single on 18 June 1982. It was re-released both on 27 June 1989 and in 1995. The original version peaked at number six on the Swedish Singles Chart and number three on the Norwegian Singles Chart, and the 1989 version peaked at number three on the Swedish Singles Chart.

"Sommartider" was also recorded with lyrics in the English language, with the name "Summer City". It has over the years become a popular long time hit song, often played by radio and other public media to this day. In addition to Gyllene Tider, Per Gessle also had another band, Roxette, as well as a solo career.

"Sommartider" received a total of 60,7% yes votes! Previous Per Gessle polls: #225 Roxette "The Look".

I noticed you're kinda Per's fan, so let me ask just in case: have you listened to Gyllene Tider, his Swedish band? 👀

Hey!! Jsjsj i didn't think you'd actually say something to me lols but awk no problemo it's just, god I love Per so much ive been a huge fan of him since i was...9? First time I heard him was when my mom gave me Roxette! Look Sharp! album and I instantly fell in love with it (along with Per!) but yep I'm a BIG roxette fan and I cannot live without them (I actually cried for months straight when Marie died she was the whole reason why I started singing and making music).

But yes! I know Gyllene Tider, I know Per formed the band and worked in it before he formed roxette with Marie right? I don't know much songs since I'm still focusing on collecting Roxettes albums (Pearls Of Passion, Look Sharp!, Joyride, Tourism, Crash! Boom! Bang!, Dont Bore Us! Get To The Chorus (Roxettes Greatest Hits), Have A Nice Day, Room Service and Charm School. I lost my album cover for Look Sharp and I'm depressed now 😭) but damn I'm rambling now (sorry nobody else knows roxette except me and my mom so knowing you do it makes me so excited because I'm actually obsessed with roxette atp smh) but as I said yep! I did hear a bit of Gyllene Tider and I've watched Per perform with them in the early 80s though I don't actually know much of their songs. I WILL listen to them however since if it's related to Mr Gessle then hell yes this is my music JSJJS I have listened to Marie's band before she came to roxette however (Strul) and I quite liked Ensamt XD other than that please keep talking to me since roxette means the world to me and i never shut up about Per to my mom (she regrets introducing me to roxette now LOLS)

The Final Battle [Part 1]

Finally...it's here. This will be the big chapter...that I have to work on.

This set of pages took me almost forever. There are a lot of bg details and characters. I even had to created special CSP brushes for monsters crowds! Haha...I am very new to this kind of custom brush. XD Anyway, I will do my best on this. I also plan to finished this Karkaton arc in early July before I have a long trip on that month.

7 gyllene städer / Seven Cities of Gold (1955) [🆓] Trevligt äventyrsdrama men som kanske "putsar upp" den historiska förankringen.

Alla tiders Åsa-Nisse (2022) [👍🎭] Vallarna gör Åsa-Nisse och bär John Elfströms arv med heder. Det här är på många sätt bättre än "Wälkom to Knohult".

Demolition Man (1993) [👍🔁] Det är något visst med 90-talets actionröjjare. Visst, skurken är som hämtad ur Kalle Anka men resten är riktigt bra.

Fantomgrottornas hemlighet / What Waits Below (1985) [🆓]

Future Justice (2014) [👎🆓] Lågbudget D-film som man med äran i behåll kna hoppa över. Vill väldigt gärna vara som flykten från New York.

Giant of the Evil Island / Il mistero dell'isola maledetta (1965) [🆓]

Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) [👍] Överraskar efter JW2 med att vara riktigt bra. Plus -- det är skitkul att se det gamla gänget samlat igen.

Strid på Havets Botten / Beneath the 12-Mile Reef (1953) [🆓]

Sword of the Barbarians, the / Sangraal, la spada di fuoco (1982) [🆓]

Time Trap (2017) [👍] Överraskande bra lågbudet SF.

Zorros Tre Värjor / Le tre spade di Zorro (1963) [👍🆓] Cult Cinema Classic kastade upp den här på sin YT-kanal med tysk dubb och svenska undertexter. Lyckas genomgående stava fel på Zorro (hur lyckas man liksom) men filmen är helt okej.

Åsa-Nisse. Okej, ge gärna "Jurassic World 3" en chans men annars är det Åsa-Nisse ni skall se denna månad.

Well, there's not so many Roxers here on Tumblr, but still a few here and there! Might be tricky sometimes to find us, but we do exist :D Happy that sometimes we even manage to find each other!

Regarding GT... I'm glad you asked (I know you didn't, sorry).

Actually I envy you a little bit, because it's a WHOLE NEW WORLD TO EXPLORE MWAHAHAHAHAH-

Oh, anyway. GT has two "eras" - the first one is actually "real" GT in 80's before Roxette - I guess the songs you checked are from that period. Later they broke up, but reunited in 1996, and since then, they do a reunion every 5-6-7 years, to record a new album and go on a tour. This is their "second" era, and in my opinion, they are the best in terms of music (and looks, sorry Per from 79-82, I know the whole Sweden had a crush on you back then) during it. So I highly recommend to check out all their stuff since '96 and (ESPECIALLY) the live recordings, not just the biggest hits.

This one is one of their oldest songs, and one of my absolute favorites.

Also I strongly recommend watching their whole concerts (there are recordings existing in the internet) from 2004, 2013 and 2019, because they're so gorgeous there ;___;
