The Cullens On Snow Days ❄️

Because of their shiny skin, the Cullens tend to live more north which means snow days. YAY! Even if high schools* in places that get snow often don't give snow days, there's always the weekend plus the Cullens don't have to sleep. This means epic snow baseball, extreme sledding, snowboarding, and skiing if they are in the mountains at the time.

ALICE: Loves making snow angels with Renesmee. Makes new coats for Ren every winter. She finds a frozen lake hidden away in the woods and ice skates with Jasper, they're both very graceful so it's like on a whole other level. Alice is into jumping and things like that, but Jasper's favourite part is just holding her hand. After they've had their time to themselves they invite everyone else along. 

She usually sits out of Snow fights but if a snowball hits her (and whatever designer coat she's wearing) she will make it her mission for the rest of the day to pelt that person with snowballs continuously. (Spoiler Alert: it's usually Emmet, and no it was definitely not an accident. He loves getting his little sister involved in the game and she enjoys it.) Once she's on to you she's sneaky, fast, and vicious.

BELLA: hasn't completely forgotten her dislike of the cold and wet, but she can't deny the beauty of actually soft snow. (Nothing compared to her Edward, of course) With her new cooler body temperature she is more willing to try it out. Also Ren really wants to make snow angles with her so, how can she say no?

Her balance has improved greatly but she is still hesistant by instinct to try ice skating. She does have an open mind and as soon as she starts, she loves it.

In terms of snow fights it depends she can either be all the way in, matching Emmet's level of silliness or she can be content to sit on the sidelines and girl talk with Esme, Alice and Rosalie.

CARLISLE: and Esme will go on walks through the woods together. They might stop to make snow angels and lie in the cool snow together. He loves ice skating with Esme. And with Rosalie, Alice, and Bella for father-daughter bonding. Ren also likes to skate with him.

Like Bella, he can go either way. He loves playing with his children and is always good for a fun time (within reason). He builds snow people with Renesmee and with Esme. He will occasionally ask Edward to help for nostalgia for when it was just them. 

EDWARD: Makes snow angels with Renesmee and ice skates with Bella. He enjoys sitting with Bella and watching Ren play but can't resist challenging Emmet to a snow fight. He enjoys making snow angels with Carlisle and when Renesmee wants to make one too, he holds her up so she can put the hat on top.

EMMET: Is down for anything, he loves snow angels with his niece, and once added details to make a snow vampire. He and Rosalie usually skate together, but when he's skating alone he goes really fast and always ends up dragging Edward, Jacob, or Jasper into a game of chicken. The girls cheer from the side. Carlisle has to step in before the noise of them crashing into each other raises suspicion among the humans.

He drags Rosalie into whatever games that the boys have going on.

WANTS TO SET THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR TALLEST SNOWMAN (AND BIGGEST SNOWBALL) IN THE WORLD. Carlisle says no but he's already started and it's 10 feet already.

ESME: Loves making snow angels and Ice skating with Carlisle and her "children" especially Edward and Renesmee. Esme has never cared too much about clothes (though, of course, she loves looking nice and indulging Alice) so she always goes all in with the fights. She's not an S teir fighter, but she can hold her own alright and is The Fun Mom who will go along with Emmet and the boys' shenanigans.

JACOB: is relatively new to the real snow experience having lived on the reservation near the beach all his life so he still has the childish excitement whenever it snows. He is happy to join Emmet and the others tomfoolery and is usually the one who starts the extreme sled races. 

He gives Renesmee rides through the snow on his back in wolf form. Shields her in snowfights and gets called out for cheating but it's okay he knows she can hold her own.

JASPER: Ice skates with Alice and they make snow angels. 

He's fierce in snow fights and loves group snow fights but he usually waits for other people to challenge him one on one. Once he is challenged though he always wins. He can go kind of overboard and he knows it, so he asks Alice to ref.

Alice always cheers for him cheesily "get him, baby!" and stuff like that. He pretends to dislike it slightly more than he does.

He aways goes along when Alice or Renesmee want him to help build a snow people.

RENESMEE: Makes snow angels and takes turns ice skating with everybody. She loves snowfights.

ROSALIE: Doesn't want to ruin her clothes but can't resist the romantic aspect of making snow angels with Emmet. She loves ice skating. Can join the snow fights if she so wishes. She'll often come in the middle and only throw snowballs at Edward. And then she'll say "I'm not playing" when the others try to hit her back.

Other times she gets super into it.

She calls Edward's snow people ugly and stops when she notices Carlisle looking a bit sad because he worked on it too. She praises Ren's snowpeople.

I was looking through the Illustrated Guide to see if there has anything on Molly Swan, others than that she was "very distantly related to Charlie Swan." And I found a couple things that left me with more questions.

Like this:

Doesn't that phrasing make it seem like Molly was Billy's aunt? I checked the Black Family tree. The only aunts he had were Mary and Jane Black. And I doubt that Molly is Billy's maternal aunt, cause his mother's last name was Peterson.

Also, Old Quil is already Billy's uncle-in-law. Billy's late wife Sarah Wilde was Old Quil's niece, the daughter of his sister Doris Ateara.

And then there's this:

Is this saying that Molly was also a descendant of a member of Ephraim Black's pack? Obviously Quil IV and Quil III (Old Quil) are descendants of Quil II. So according to the above, Molly would be a descendant of Ephraim himself or of Levi Uley. Molly Swan's name does not appear on either the Black family tree or the Uley family tree btw. But, in theory it's possible that Molly could be descended from Ephraim or Levi.

Ephraim had three sisters. Dorothy and twins, Deborah and Susanah. According to the family tree, none of them married and/or had kids. But if one of them did, they could have married a man named Swan and then had Molly. In this scenario, Molly would be Ephraim's niece and Billy's first cousin once removed. Molly would be a carrier of the Black werewolf gene.

Levi had a niece, Mirabelle Uley, and going by the Uley family tree she didn't marry or have kids. What if she did? What if it was Mirabelle who married a man named Swan and had Molly? In this scenario, Molly would be Sue's cousin and a carrier of both the Black and Uley werewolf genes. Either scenario provides an explanation to "As a descendant of the previous werewolf pack through both parents..."

Of course neither scenario explains how Molly is related to Charlie and Bella. I will say that I don't think Charlie and Bella are Quileute, not even distantly. Still, adding a Swan to the werewolf genealogy is pretty cool. It connects Bella to the pack, makes her family in a way. I do have some ideas on Bella being related to the Cullens as a descendant of one of their human relatives. I think that if Bella were related to the pack and the Cullens, that would've been a far better and more interesting way to end the animosity between them.

Twilight fandom it’s been a while but I have a debate question for you. In a scenario in which Esme’s baby’s grave is disturbed by another being, human or otherwise, Which of the Cullen kids do you think would go the most feral on her behalf? Just asking about the kids tho, we all know Carlisle would be comforting her.

I know bring this up like once every six months but I will never understand how "Olympic Coven" became so commonly used for the Cullens' coven in fandom when they are never called that by anyone in the books, don't call themselves that, never called that in the movies, never called that in the Guide.

The name literally only exists in the Vampire Index in the back of Breaking Dawn. This should be a strange little easter egg we all forgot about.

How did it become so widespread in fandom when it's so obscure in the actual books (and not in the movies at all)? It seems like it was a one time idea of SM's that she abandoned, because it's not in the guide (almost all references to 'Olympic' in the guide refer to the Newtons' store and they are called the Cullen Coven in the guide) or Midnight Sun, but it lives on in fandom.

It is literally just because the wiki uses it? So anyone getting into the fandom for the first time and googling characters will see it and then uses it themselves? Does the Rule of Cool apply, because it brings up images of eternal gods and powerful athletes, even though it's really talking about a mountain range?

"You don't have to look after me, you know" you say, sniffling as you accept her soup with a small smile.

"I know I don't have to, but I will because I want to" she assures, stroking a lock of hair out of your face and behind your ear so it's out of the way. She ignores it's greasy state for now, noting in her head to help you wash after a much needed nap.

Leaning into her touch, you mumble a small "thank you." And if she wasn't a vampire she probably wouldn't have understood from the hoarseness of you voice. But before she can press a gentle kiss to the side of your head her attention is pulled away by the fluttering of a curtain in the light wind.

"You opened the window?" she scolds softly, getting up to shut it and draw the curtains closed. "I told you that you need to keep warm, dearest, this is the kind of thing where you need to sweat it out." Her lips purse as her eyes glaze over you, a deep and icy brown doing wonders to warm you up.

A whine leaves you, muttering a string of complaints. The most prominent one being that it's too warm and you're sweating.

With a teasing huff she walks to the doorway. "That's the point, dearest, now eat and get some more sleep. I'll be back to check up on you in twenty." She blows you another kiss and leaves, a small smile to herself when she hears you whine again about how it's 'unfair' and you 'hate being sick'.

"Sleep!" she shouts from the top of the stairway, smile still staying as she hears the ruffle of the bed sheets and - what she assumes to be - you laying back down.

ESME *thinks about saying something, but agrees with the sentiment, even if not the wording, so she decides not to, but gives Rosalie a warning glance anyway.* EMMETT: Don't look at me. Look at Rosalie, *looking at Rosalie, speaking softer* sorry babe. *looking back to Edward, speaking louder* Read my thoughts. ROSALIE: What?! I didn't break it. I don’t even want to touch the stupid human. CARLISLE *in a warning tone as he takes a slightly concerned but amused Bella upstairs to his office for treatment*: Rose. Please. Be nice.

JACOB *just wants to take a dig at Rosalie (definitely not to redirect suspicion maybe)*: Huh. That's weird. How did you even know it was broken, huh, blondie? ROSALIE: Because she's sitting right in front of us and her hand is broken, dumbass. JACOB: Suspicious. ROSALIE: No, mongrel, it's not! EMMETT *trying not to laugh at his younger sister's overreaction, glancing at Jasper who’s already glaring back and shaking his head*: If it matters, probably not... Jasper was the last one to see her.

JASPER *sighing, but going along with it because he wants to mock Edward*: Liar! I don't even usually go near Bella! EMMETT *thrilled that Jasper's actually playing along for once*: Oh really? Then what were you doing with her earlier?

JACOB *tilts his head in confusion. He was unaware of this and it makes him feel slightly protective of Bella.*: Yeah. But when did the van thing happen? *mentally* Of course, that would happen to her. You’re good for one thing bloodsucker, you better have not let her be hurt . . .  Oh, who am I kidding? I bet you saved her, didn’t you? Swooped in like Batman with your dumb sideburns and charmed her.

EDWARD *ignoring Jacob’s words, and refusing Bella’s suggestion of a topic change*: No. Who broke it? *He’s already scowling at Jacob who’s thinking in suspicious detail of the wool armchair in front of him* ALICE *seeing the future*: Oh no, Jacob. You kibble-for-brains! Don’t go there. JASPER *whispering to his wife as he kisses her ear softly, bemused*: What, darlin’? ALICE *sighing and rolling her eyes*: You’ll see. JACOB *lost all sense because he’s trying to block his thoughts and simultaneously avoid the beating Edward looks ready to give him as his mental barrier cracks*: Yeah, really! EMMETT *really curious, leans over to Alice*: What’d he say? EDWRAD *scanning Jacob’s thoughts for proof he knows is there and giving him the death stare* ALICE *gives everyone a quick whispered recap*: So, yeah . . .

The Cullens *readying to fight*: He said WHAT about Esme? *Only Carlise remains still, just frowning. He knows Jacob didn’t mean it, but is still a little offended* *but Edward gets to Jacob first* EDWARD *grabs Jacobs’s right wrist and starts twisting*: Your little treaty only covers killing, and I won’t be anywhere as kind. You’re on our land now, wolf, so- ALICE *blinking away a vision, steps out from behind Jasper*: Eddie, stop. As entertaining as this is, he’s about to confess. JACOB: Okay, jeez, fine. At least one of you leeches has respect.  JASPER *snarls a low warning snarl and pulls Alice closer* ALICE *who knows what he’s going to say*: Oh you’re one to talk, mutt.

ESME: Oh, this used to happen every other week when Rose was a newborn. Emmett will take and to cool off and she’ll be fine by morning. Edward loves you, he won’t let your friend be hurt. *looking knowing to her husband* Besides, I know he’ll take his chance to pick at his sister.

EPILOGUE: CARLISLE, ALICE, and JASPER gang up to get ROSALIE and EDWARD (who teamed up for once) off JACOB. It’s a miracle his limbs remained intact. He’s feeling very grateful for his speed-healing.

Ezmeralda June Hale Cullen

Ezmeralda is the one and only daughter of Alice and Jasper

Before Ezmeralda was adopted by the Cullen's, she came from a terrible family that treated her like she was invisible and never acknowledged her existence

School for her was also no treat for her either, since she was bullied senseless, teased, and even SA'D

One day after school, a group of girls jumped Ezmeralda and beat her near death.

It was shortly after that that Jasper and Alice found her lying on the floor with a bunch of bruises and blood coming from her lip, nose, and back of her head

Alice turned her after she saw Ezmeralda losing a lot of blood and brought her back home.

After Ezmeralda was turned, she was quiet and scared. Having no idea what happened to her. Luckily, Alice and Jasper helped her through it and explained everything that happened.

After both Alice and Jasper helped and trained her, they introduced Ezmeralda to the rest of the family, where she also met her new cousins

It was overwhelming at first, but as time went by, she grew comfortable and safe with her new family, who accepted her immediately

Ezmeralda is called Ezme, Izzy/Ezzy, Ez, Jem, and sweetie (the last one is what Alice calls her)

Like Elizabeth and E.J, Ezzy is also an introvert and prefers to be in solitude.

When Ezme was turned, she was gifted with invisibility

Liz, E.J, and Ezme are introvert buddies

Ezme is still shy and quiet, but she has her own sense of confidence, especially when it comes to her new family

Jasper taught her self-defense, and Alice teaches her to control her thirst

In Defense of book!Bella Swan

Disclaimer: I have only read Twilight and I have no plans to read the rest of the series* except Midnight Sun. *i watched the movies and i know how it goes and i actually don't give a fuck about what happens anymore, for me, Twilight is a standalone haha

Bella is a parentified child. Because of this, it made her resilient and in control of her mind. Yes, she is a teenager, which made her thoughts seem silly, but she knows what she wants. And she is determined to get them. When being hunted by James, she was the one who planned how to get away from Forks. She wasn't just a damsel in distress. She even wants to be a vampire because she said men and women can't always be swooping in and saving the other one; instead they have to save each other equally.

She is a loving person, and stupidly selfless. Imagine being hunted and getting tricked by a vampire tracker and all she was worried about was her parents and the Cullens.

"It's a whirlwind romance!" Yes, in the outsider's eyes. Bella has always felt out of tune with her peers. Out of all Bella's "friends", Edward was the only person who asked about why she moved to Forks, and even cared that she was "unhappy". Edward lived a long BUT fast vampire life, but for a vampire and a human, both Bella's and Edward's timelines (and wavelengths) are parallel with someone for the first time in their lives.

I have read a couple of Reddit posts saying Bella did not suffer as a newborn vampire at all. In Twilight, Edward told Bella that Carlisle has a theory that vampires bring something of their strongest human traits with them into their next life where they are intensified. Bella has a strong mental fortitude as a human that's why she didn't "suffer" as a newborn. Aside from her mental shield powers, she has a better self-control than any vampire.

As I was reading Twilight, all I can feel about Bella is awe. She's brave to the point of stupidity (for some), and intelligent. Yes, she's a clutz, a tad bit overdramatic at times and an overthinker, and might seem to have ZERO "survival instincts" towards the whole Edward-Cullen-is-a-vampire thing but she won't be Bella if she has that, now would she?
