oh, sister, I am sorry. your eyes are sunken and your skin is bruised. your lips are chapped, your nailbeds bitten raw. your husband's hand on your waist is a ghost's touch held by the band on your left ring finger and I-
I am dead.
I got on the train, Su. Nevermind your tears, nevermind the plea you could not shape with words, nevermind your fingers on the pulse point of my wrist. "stay", you'd said, as you have always done, dictionary in hand and baby teeth yet lodged in your jaw. "don't go where i cannot."
I step through a wardrobe and you follow, damned be reason. I slay a wolf and you follow, I cling to the little ones and you follow, I am crowned and you follow, I am-
I go past a lamp post, and you follow, damned be dread. I go to a train station and you follow, trembling hands and tender heart. I go, and I go, and I go, and you follow. Sun of my skies. Light of my life.
I go. you stop.
are we too old for stories, now? ten-and-four and ten-and-three, budding bodies and steel bones, we are cast from our home. i hold the little ones until i drown in them. you grip your skirts until no iron can press the shape of your palms from them. and you have ever been, cruelly reasonable and logically callous.
say you, glass shard eyes and rouge-red lips: we are english. we are children. she thinks she has found a magical land in the upstairs wardrobe.
say I, trembling hands and coiling guts: we are narnian. we are monarchs. if she's not mad and she's not lying, then logically she must be telling the truth.
my sister Susan, beautiful as folk tales are and twice as sharp, did you intend every invitation you took for me to twist the knife a godly animal once thrust into my guts? perhaps it was the way your eyes turned blue, or the sound of your laughter losing its bells. perhaps it was just my trembling fingers at the back of your legs, drawing stocking lines where no stockings had ever lain.
the line came out shaking, and you rubbed it off until your skin cried red. the hem of your dress still dripped wet when you left that day, turning on heels too narrow for you to walk in.
do you remember? it took you days to come home, and mother wailed for all of them. you crawled into my bed that night, as you did when we were parents to our little ones, those terrible months. your head on my shoulder, your breath in my ear, I held you until morning.
your mouth in my throat, eyes heavy with sleep, tongue heavy with champagne: we are here now. we must make the best of it. he cannot have all our lives, and all our joys. i wish you would laugh again.
doesn't little lucy, shrieking mouth and tumbling legs, laugh enough for us all?
lucy's manic. if she didn't laugh she'd cry.
i think sometimes, in the parts of my guts that are still a schoolboy, and are mean and cruel to match, that the alcohol makes you softer than the daylight ever could. i do not tell you.
i press my lips to your forehead. i wrap my arms around you. the year between us rings heavy, and when I get up in the morning, you do not follow.
I tried, Su. I did. I applied for university, I saw that girl with that smile. with those eyes. I let you take sections from the paper before I ever touched it, I held the little ones in my arms, and I made coffee in the morning. I sat all my exams.
I smiled when the little ones came back smelling of home.
Aslan's wounds, did I try. but-
I have ever been a thing made for stories. brave the way knights are, bloody knuckles and buckling pride. a horse between my calves, a sword in my hands.
I think, sometimes, that I was born for my sword, for the hollow ringing of my heart when I first held it. a part of me, even then, ten-and-three and soaked to the bone.
such bravery is not made for real world boys and real world taunts. there is a map, I think, from the summits of my knuckles to the jaws of every boy who ever looked at me and bared his teeth.
I am sovereign. I am the skies for your sun to burn in.
I am made wrong, for this england, and I cannot take this life you want. I belong, I think, into myths and legend, the star-studded shards of our home.
so I went on the train, Susan. so I died, and I named what you have chosen. so I banned you from their scorning mouths. so you grip your husband's hand, realest of us all, and you cry. you do not follow.
Forgive me.

Do you have any Magisterium headcanons
OH BOY DO I!!
Okay, first of all I believe that Sarah and Alastair would not have lasted had she survived, but the thing keeping them together was that Call was an oops baby in the middle of the war. Also another telling thing was that Alastair wasn’t in the ice cave with them, but you know who was? DECLAN! I bet that Alastair’s internal monologue there was going, welp, theres no way I’m gonna be a better parent than Sarah and I’m feeling the need to self sacrifice and die in battle so she and her brother can go raise the kid. also, I’m feeling guilty about not preventing Constantine’s descent into madness and murder.
and then they died and Alastair became the kind of parent that lets their kid eat dirt and drive at twelve.
next, CONSTANTINE MADDEN BLEACHES HIS HAIR PLATINUM BLOND. (and Jericho does not. He is very happy with normal brown hair.)
When Sarah got pregnant, her parents were Not pleased so Alastair and Sarah had a super fast civil ceremony at the town hall to appease them. Then Sarah died and her parents got super pissed at Alastair, (and Alastair’s parents are dead) so that’s why Call has no grandparents.
Alastair’s wedding ring was buried with Sarah.
Alastair and Constantine had a very messy friends with benefits relationship (that literally went until Constantine blew up a section of the Magisterium and ran off) where they both had feelings for each other but never said anything.
The Maddens are from Russia. They are also Catholic. Will not elaborate.
Call got babysat by Miranda (that tailor/antique shop lady from TBK) a solid bit when he was super young. Alastair needs his screaming and sobbing time by himself without freaking out his Tiny Baby Three Year Old.
After the Cold Massacre, Alastair almost became a Devoured trying to heal Call with earth magic but pulled himself back cause gotta be a human to raise My Son !!!
Alastair is also in Crippling Medical Debt from Call’s canonical Many Surgeries.
Alastair has no concept of children’s books so Call got read Shakespeare for bedtime stories.
Call is a white chocolate hater.
Constantine had a wolf named Mayhem so when Call brought home a wolf named Havoc Alastair was like, ah, the consequences of my actions have come back to haunt me
Aaron was seriously considering going into the military before he found out that he had magic.
The Rajavis are for real rich famous people outside of the magic world too.
Only child Jasper. Lots of cousins (for his parents to compare him to) though
Bilingual Jasper but Boy is he completely illiterate in Japanese
Ravan was a huge wake up call for mage parents to stop teaching their kids to learn magic through dangerous methods (like the whole eating matches for fire, blood for air kinda stuff in the first book)
One of Gwenda’s parents isn’t a mage and has her enrolled in summer school so that she actually knows like, physics and calculus and shit.
Alex is a strong believer in Sun In. However appalling the result is, Call still finds him cool.
Alex plays piano pretty well for being self taught. (Most of the things he can do is self taught. Don’t think about that too much)
When Aaron was in foster homes, he cut his own hair with kitchen scissors in the bathroom. The first time the Rajavis take him to get his hair cut, he thinks that it looked better when he did it himself.
During TCG, the Rajavis were in the process of adopting Aaron cause it would look super good for the Makar to have such a strong connection to them. (And totally Not to replace Ravan)
Call eats styrofoam
Ravan was Tamara’s favorite sister.
After TCG, Tamara learns how to drive (normally) from Stebbins. When her parents enroll her in formal driving lessons right before TSM, they’re a little surprised at how “naturally” good she is.
Before the Magisterium, Tamara learned flute and violin. Call is completely tone deaf, and Aaron can plunk out some pop song chords on a keyboard.
Every single time they have an oddly specific problem, their “I know a guy” is Aaron.

Ahsoka Episode 6 “Far, Far Away”: The Story, the Symbolism, and the Score
Episode 6 of Ahsoka begins with the sound of distant purrgil calls as Ahsoka and Huyang travel through hyperspace, crossing the void between galaxies. During their discussion of the tales Huyang used to tell the Jedi younglings there is no music.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I loved that Huyang said such an iconic line in this episode, reminding us that this is indeed a fairy tale, a children’s story.
The Title Card for Ahsoka appears, and then the episode title, “Far, far Away.”
We hear ominous music when Sabine is in the brig onboard the Eye of Sion. The window to her cell is shaped like an upside down triangle.
The sinister music continues during the scene with Baylan, Shin, and Morgan on the bridge. Morgan’s Theme (the Nightsister theme) is heard when the Eye of Sion exits hyperspace.
The line “Peridea is a graveyard” reminds us that this is indeed a “descent into the abyss” a stage of the hero’s journey which I have discussed on this blog before. Ominous music plays here.
The characters who are aligned with the dark side are on a quest for more power to dominate others. They have followed the Path to Peridea as a kind of path to perdition as I have mentioned in my previous metas. But Sabine, our heroine, is descending into the Underworld on a more noble quest. She hopes to find her beloved Ezra Bridger, echoing the story of Orpheus, the hero of Greek myth who descends into the Underworld to find his beloved Eurydice.
Morgan’s Theme continues when they board the shuttle and descend to the planet Peridea.
The landscape of J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth is suggested by the giant statues and the Nightsister fortress, which resembles an evil version of Minas Tirith.
The characters encounter three Nightsisters, analogous to the Three Fates of Greek mythology, the Moirai. (Note the similarities between this word and the name of Ahsoka’s owl, Morai, a creature I predict that we will be seeing again soon.)
The three Fates were the personification of destiny in Greek mythology. The three sisters were known as Clotho (the spinner), Lachesis (the alotter), and Atropos (the unturnable, a metaphor for death). The end credits for this episode name these three Nightsisters as Klothow, Lakesis, and Aktropaw, clearly indicating the intended symbolism of these three characters. As George Lucas said back in the late nineties, “Well, when I did Star Wars I consciously set about to recreate myths and the — and the classic mythological motifs. And I wanted to use those motifs to deal with issues that existed today.” (From billmoyers.com) Lucas’ apprentice, Dave Filoni, has learned this lesson from the master himself.
The music is quieter in this scene, with sounds of low vibrations being heard. Morgan’s Theme continues when Sabine is imprisoned by the Nightsisters’ three orbs, which held her bound within a triangle made of red cords of energy.
Outside of the fortress three wolf-like creatures howl as ominous music plays. Choral music suggesting the mysticism of the fallen Jedi Order is heard as Baylan speaks of Peridea being a realm of “dreams and madness” from old “children’s stories come to life.” Once again, the viewer is reminded that we are being told a fairy tale, a myth. The musical score subtly teases the listener with three notes from Ahsoka’s Ronin theme in this scene.
Sabine is imprisoned inside the Nightsister fortress as the Chimaera arrives with the sound of ominous metallic rumbling. Thrawn’s flagship Star Destroyer was named after the female fire-breathing monster in Greek mythology which was part lion, part goat, and part dragon.
I am no Freudian, but the Chimaera’s open docking bay hovering over the phallic tower of the Nightsister fortress seems to be the most overtly sexual symbolism I have seen in Star Wars in a long time. However, I’m not here to discuss that visual metaphor.
Tumblr media
Organ music which anticipates but does not present Thrawn’s theme is heard as the Nighttroopers muster under Enoch’s command. These undead stormtroopers have cracked armor repaired with golden seams suggesting the Japanese art of kintsugi, as well as armor pieces bound with bands of red cloth. They are heard chanting “Thrawn! Thrawn!” as the Grand Admiral makes his dramatic entrance. For me this chant was reminiscent of how the orcs in Return of the King chanted “Grond! Grond!” when using their mighty battering ram against the walls of Minas Tirith. (You can do your own Freudian analysis of that scene. I’m not going there.) What was Grond?
“Grond, also known as the Wolf's Head, was a one hundred-foot long battering ram with a head in the shape of a ravening wolf, used in the arsenal of Sauron in the Third Age. Though named for Grond, Morgoth’s warhammer, it was created in the likeness of the Wolf of Angband, Carcharoth.”—from lotr.fandom.com
Creepy music accompanies the Nighttroopers as they transfer of cargo from the catacombs beneath the fortress. What is inside them? Dead Nightsisters, waiting to be revived by dark magic?
Thumps and low pitched sounds accompany Thrawn’s conversation with Baylan.
Thrawn speaks of Sabine’s desire to be reunited with her long-lost friend. (The word desire is a very intentional word choice, with the connotation that the connection between Sabine and Ezra has potential to be more than just friendship.)
Sabine: I’m sure he’s doing just fine.
Thrawn: You gambled the fate of your galaxy on that belief.
Sabine: You wouldn’t understand.
Thrawn: Perhaps not.
Evil does not understand love and loyalty. (See my previous post about the Path to Peridea.)
Enoch returns Sabine’s weapons to her, and she is provided with provisions and a wolf-like howler for a mount. He tells her to “die well” as she embarks on her “fool’s errand.”
The line about a “fool’s errand” calls to mind this scene from Tolkien’s novel, The Return of the King:
'Tell me,' he said, 'is there any hope? For Frodo, I mean; or at least mostly for Frodo.'
Gandalf put his hand on Pippin's head. 'There never was much hope,' he answered. 'Just a fool's hope, as I have been told…”
“A Fool’s Hope” was also the title of the penultimate episode of Star Wars Rebels final season.
Once again, Thrawn’s theme is only hinted at by the organ music at the end of the scene.
Sabine’s scanner is destroyed during her fight for her life with the red-armored bandits in the wastelands. Her life is saved by her Mandalorian armor and weapons, Ahsoka’s training, and Ezra’s lightsaber in this action sequence.
Baylan and Shin ride out on howlers. Nighttroopers load coffin-like cargo containers onto the Chimaera as uneasy music plays. Thrawn decides to dispatch only two squadrons of Nighttroopers. His disdain for Jedi, light or dark, is apparent: “It matters not whether Wren and Bridger are killed or stranded here. The same can be said for your two mercenaries.” Ominous music plays.
The scene with Sabine and the howler is accompanied by gentle music played upon wooden flutes. Sabine processes her abandonment issues and her complex feelings for Ezra in this scene by taking out her emotions on the howler. “You. You abandoned me. I should have known you are a coward.” She tries to make the howler stop following her, but the loyal animal comes back as soon as she walks away. “Okay. Fine,” she says. “I’ll give you another chance, but you better not bail on me this time.” The gentle flute music continues. A motif of ascending perfect fifths suggests Ezra’s Theme.
The howler stops to drink water and sniffs the air. The thing that Sabine and the audience assumes to be a rock is revealed to be a sentient little hermit-crab-like creature called a Noti. Gentle music plays when Sabine kneels, puts down her blaster, and extends her hand to the creature. The Noti recognizes the Rebel Alliance symbol (an evolution of her own Starbird design) on her pauldron. The creature has a medallion of his own, marked with a similar symbol.
“Do you know Ezra Bridger?” Sabine asks, touching her heart. “He’s my friend.”
Ominous music plays as Baylan and Shin discover the dead bandits. Once again choral music is heard when Baylan reminisces about the Jedi Order.
It is also revealed that the Nightsisters are fleeing from a power that is greater than their own.
Baylan and Shin see the red Bandits in the distance. “The enemy of our enemy is our friend,” says Baylan, “for now.”
Peaceful and noble sounding music is heard when Sabine sees the Noti encampment. She smiles at the mother Noti rocking her baby in a hammock.
With Sabine in the foreground, the camera pans to show a now adult, bearded Ezra Bridger wearing a red robe and leaning against the wall of his home. “I knew I could count on you,” he says as joyful music plays, music which features the piccolo, flute, and other woodwind instruments.
The closed captioning for this episode says that there is captivating music playing when Sabine and Ezra finally embrace. We hear a beautifully orchestrated rendition of Ezra’s Theme on the French horn with a new countermelody in the strings to heighten the emotional impact of this long-awaited scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ezra’s Theme is heard again when he says “Sabine, thanks for coming. I can’t wait to go home.”
When we return to where the Chimaera is docked with the Nightsister fortress, a suggestion of Thrawn’s Theme is heard at a quick tempo suggesting the urgency of the situation that is about to unfold. Ahsoka Tano is coming. “The thread of destiny demands it” is a line that further emphasizes the three Nightsisters playing the role of the three fates. We finally hear Thrawn’s Theme presented in an obvious way as the episode ends.
I have blogged about the magnificent end credits music in previous blog posts, so this time I am going to discuss something different: the alchemical symbolism in Ahsoka.
The central focus of alchemy was to transmute base metals into gold and create the elixir of life, as any aficionado of the lore of the philosopher’s stone knows. The process is a metaphor for the purification and transformation of the human soul to a state of perfection.
Three colors symbolize this process, black, white, and red.
First there is the nigredo (blackening) stage of the alchemist’s work, representing the breaking of the human spirit. This is where both Sabine and Ahsoka are at the beginning of the series.
Second is the albedo (whitening) stage, which involves washing away impurities or vices, and being ready to grow and learn again. This is most clearly illustrated by Ahsoka the Grey’s “death” and transformation into Ahsoka the White.
Third is the rubedo (reddening) stage, which is where we are in the story right now. It represents the purified and awakened spirit reaching its highest and purest form.
“The symbols used in alchemical writing and art to represent this red stage can include blood, a phoenix , a rose, a crowned king, or a figure wearing red clothes.”—Wikipedia.
The color red, of course, is symbolic of Nightsisters and their magic in this series, as well as symbolizing the red thread of fate.
Baylan Skoll’s line about having to “destroy in order to create” is an example of the alchemical concept of “solve et coagula” meaning to separate then join together. Nothing new can be built without destroying the old. Perhaps this is really telling us about the destruction and rebuilding of the Jedi Order.
In the completion of the rubedo stage there must be a union of sulphur and mercury, also known as the wedding of the Red King (the sun) and the White Queen (the moon). Sulphur represents the masculine principle, the soul, and the fire of life. (Remember Ezra’s red robe?) Mercury represents the feminine principle and the mind, flexible and changing. (Sabine is a clever young woman who lives inside her head, sometimes too much. Lately she’s been distracted by her heart.) Mercury also represents a state that can transcend death.
Is the much-discussed Ezra and Sabine hug the union of Sulphur and Mercury? Or should we expect something more than that?
Much has been written about Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati as the mythological wolves who chase the sun and the moon. This episode ends with the pair in pursuit of Ezra (sulphur, the Red King, the sun) and Sabine (mercury, the White Queen, the moon). When Skoll and Hati catch the sun and the moon, Ragnarok begins.
Besides sulphur and mercury, there is another element present at the rubedo stage of alchemical transformation: salt.
Ahsoka the White is coming.
Please reblog and comment on what you think of my musical and literary analysis of this episode of Ahsoka. I am looking forward to reading your replies.

would you write a Jason Percy pov, that is if Jason was at chb from the beginning?
sure i'll talk about this :-)
so this is a scenario in which jason is not abandoned at the wolf house, but thalia would still run away, taking him with her. they would still meet luke, then annabeth. (realizing now that if this was canon, the retconning of the ages would be more obvious, because jason's like 2 & annabeth's like 7, but whatever it's fine. i guess we can just simplify things & say that jason's 6, a year younger than annabeth & percy the way he is in HoO). (don't talk to me about character ages i have a headache already lmaoo)
i'd be curious to see if jason being there impacts luke's arc at all. of course, you still have the May Castellan Episodes of Cursed Fate of it all that prompted luke to run away in the first place, but still. having jason there would make things harder—another child means another hungry mouth to feed. plus, luke is already parentified enough (thalia is too ofc) with annabeth. still, he can't help but feel the need to look after jason. he looks like a luke mini-me, and watching him & annabeth play together in the lull between monster attacks & life on the run warms his heart in a way. it gives him purpose.
that being said, would luke still become bitter and pick fights on the way to camp? perhaps it's inevitable...or perhaps jason becomes injured, they lag behind, and thalia faces the same fate. luke can't be mad at the kid, even if he holds a bit of resentment, so he turns towards (or away from) the gods to blame. something something you can't turn away from prophecies something something
& then ofc you have jason at camp, mourning his sister & training in her honor. he's still wolf-like, too—it seems inherent for roman demigods, regardless of if they end up at the wolf house. in fits of anger he tears into training dummies with hands & teeth, insistent he can do the same to monsters (he can, in due time). he longs to prove himself, to prove his sister's sacrifice was worth it to get him to camp safely.
zeus, in an effort to dismiss things per usual, doesn't claim him. it's jupiter's problem, after all. luke tries to argue in favor of jason going to the zeus cabin, though chiron is unsure. a god siring two demigod children with the same mortal parent is rare. in fact, it's more common to have two kids have the same mortal parent, but two different godly parents. chiron wants to wait and see what the gods will do, and the gods do nothing.
that is, until around when jason turns 11. zeus's lightning bolt is stolen, & he's desperate. he claims jason, urging him to find the theif...and pointing his blame towards percy.
thus the greatest enemies to lovers storyline of all time is born. or whatever
of course, there's a part of jason that's hard-wired, roman-wired despite his upbringing (nature vs nurture) to tear into percy like a wolf.
this is not the way of things at camp.
percy must be given a quest, a chance to prove himself, & jason & annabeth must go with him as personal witnesses to his innocence (grover gets to have a lovely vacation). despite a lot of butting heads, it's on this quest that jason realizes that percy actually is innocent (he is truly, deeply clueless about how the whole Being a Demigod thing works). he realizes that percy's not that bad of a guy. he's loyal to his quest mates to a fault, willing to sacrifice himself for them even if they hate each other.
& then they meet the deadline. & they go back to camp. & jason starts thinking a lot about how loyal he was to zeus at the drop of a hat, when he didn't even claim him until he needed him.
& then luke betrays the camp. he beytrays percy. but he's luke, the guy who took care of him since he was six years old. the guy who continued to take care of him even after thalia didn't make it.
maybe he has a point about the gods.
but maybe percy, in his goodness, in his bravery & honesty, has a point to remain loyal to the camp.
so which side is jason to choose?

Hi king! What is SCP? And how do your OC's tie in? (Permission granted to blab as much as you want abt it)
Greetings the OC slorper xoxo
Idk how to explain what scp is but i can use this as an excuse to write whole paragraphs to explain my oc and a bit of his lore 😎
Uh basically
Naythen Graham Smith, born [REDACTED] Smith on April 30th 1977, was the 2nd of 6 children born to Percival and Mary Smith.
Not much is known about his childhood, other than that he was heavily mistreated, which ended in the murder of his family when his family died in a car crash.
After this event, Smith was left homeless until he had enough money tomove from his small house in Portsmouth, to somewhere in New Jersey, where he managed to get a scholarship for Biochemistry, something he excelled at.
He did normal college stuff, like drinking and hanging out with friends. An example of this is when he was dared to eat gross things on the side of the road (this would never lead to life changing consequences!).
When he was 18, he met someone. He didn’t exactly have a crush, but he did care very deeply for her. She was in most of his classes, so they managed to become friends. They shared the same last name, which is because it’s a common last name, but they still jokes that the reason why they were so close was because they were secretly twins.
She gets pregnant (not by him, don’t worry.) but soon after the baby is born, oh no! She dies in a fire. Only her child lives. Now, smith is excellent at forgery, an example is that he never legally got his name changed. Anyways, he decided “well I am NOT letting her child go up for adoption!!” And he forges her birth certificate into saying his name as the father.
Little side note, the woman was a little mad, and was testing on herself/her child WHILST she was pregnant, and was seeing how she could change a human embryo’s dna without killing it. Some bits of dna include wolf, dog, cat, bird, other human, lizard, and axolotl. This causes Maddison(the daughter) to have some slight birth defects. Such as, an allergy to chocolate and grapes, amazing hearing and sense of smell, slight sight issues (she doesn’t like using glasses though), the ability to grow certain things back when cut off, she also sometimes grows useless feathers, which she usually plucks out. She also has a tail and ears, similar to a wolves or a dog’s. She normally hides this (when required) by wearing hats and long dresses
Btw she was made by my little sister!
Anyways he doesnt actually care for her properly (basically the bare minimum) until he is almost 21. At that point he ditched the friends that made him eat random stuff off the road (again, will NEVER have life changing consequences), and he somehow figures out a way to stay in college and also look after a 2 year old??????????? Anyways he graduates at 22, works at smt like fast food or retail for a year, and then somehow gets hired by the foundation??!???
This is where i make him fit into the lore. Somehow.
Luckily for me, whenever I make an oc, I make an au so i can rewrite characters to make him fit. If only i can figure out how i’ve rewritten them. Idk. All ik is that he kind of uses his job to an advantage, because OH NO!!! THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS!! OF BEING DARED TO EAT STUFF OFF THE FLOOR!! HE ATE AN INCURABLE PARASITE! AN ANOMALOUS PARASITE!
So he tests on himself to figure out a cure. He only finds a treatment which is still only ever temporary. This testing actually causes a cursed gene in him to activate, because the bloodline he was born into was cursed by an entity to be immortal and be able to heal quickly and shit. This gene got turned off at some point, but he’s managed to turn it back on. He also finds out he keeps being reincarnated because of a curse on his own soul by the same entity. He only finds that out because people in the past have been documented of having the same birthmark, having a second birthmark that represented the way that life died, and having some slight memories of the life before them. He has the same birthmark, a birthmark shaped like a knife slash across his chest, and wow! Memories of his past life.
You might think “oh what a coincidence! He has 2 curses from the same entity!” WRONG!
The parasite was actually ‘blessed’ by the entity.
This is actually pure coincidence though, the entity told me.
Anyways that was like in the 2000’s. He lives in the modern day!! Ish. It’s more like august this year. Anyways he’s 47 now, and he directs the anomalous and scientific research department (is that a real department! I don’t know, i just wanted to make him be a bit higher up than a normal scientist.)
Does any of this make sense? Hell no! Do i care? Hell no!
Random fun facts about him but my phone is lagging oh dear oh no
He is allergic to aspirin, ginger, and pollen.
He will absolutely brush off his trauma. Do not expect what he is saying to be the actual truth. It will only be a really washed out version of it (washed out? Washed up? Ehhh idk the phrase)
His healing is actually sped up by the treatment. The only special thing about his healing without it is that he can heal from fatal injuries and stuff.
He can also still get sick.
He actually needs many things, like a pacemaker and a cane, but he will NOT ever get them or acknowledge he needs them until its actually a diagnosed full on problem
The parasite causes a sort of rotting (ik quite a few do but this one is special shhhhh) which looks like the host is wasting away. The rotting is normally pure black. It is also only ever able to be in 1 host at a time. It also acts like a sort of hivemind, and has an almost human-like sentience. The queen of the hivemind is immortal. Whoops! It can do many things to the host. An example is being able to manipulate the host’s body, basically called possession. It can also sort of sometimes melt the rotted flesh into a black tar-like substance. On the rare occasion it can do that, theres a rarer chance that it’ll be able to melt the whole body into the substance. When it does this, it can sort of change its shape and form into what it wants. This involves being able to break the host’s bones just so it can do that. Of course, this is normally at the final stage of the parasite being there, and is normally deadly, but oh no! Smith is immortal.
He does still die, its just more where he can be unconscious for a bit, sometimes. Like I said, only sometimes. There is a chance he can just be walking around with a bullet hole in his head waiting for the wound the heal up or smt
Self inflicted injuries are more likely to scar up compared to when someone else injures him.
He did his own top surgery because of this. Owie.
He once had something not work in his body, causing him to do the thing where he dies temporarily, and so he decided to basically do an autopsy on himself so he could see what happened.
Every time he does something like this he will either be in extreme pain or he will put himself on so many pain medications that he’s surprised he’s able to move.
He can play the piano, and a little bit of the violin.
Like i’ve said before, he WILL insult you if you tell him to not wear his bowtie.
He likes the paisley pattern. His bowtie has a faint pattern of it
He started out as a “what I want to look like as an adult” oc on gacha, and them i decided i wanted to make him look more interesting, and it’s gone on from there.
He wears gloves not for anything like germs or smt, but just because he doesn’t really like his hands. This was originally because they were almost fully rotten but now i’ve just made them heavily scarred with a bit of rot.
Do NOT ask for photos of him when he was in his early to mid 30s. Bc that was when some of the real parts of his features were changing. His canines had fallen out and were slowly being replaced by the sharper versions, his scleras were yellowing, his pupils were also sharpening and becoming more white. He also didn’t really take any pictures of himself in that time.
He is missing an eye. This was more because it was becoming so rotten that it was unusable
He can loose blood faster than he can regenerate it.
He is afraid of being buried alive, fire, and heights.
If he thinks he has no other choice in attacking you, he will probably bite you. He doesn’t like this though because his teeth are sharp enough to draw blood and he doesn’t like the taste of blood+it’s unhygienic
Says he hates the cold, but his office is constantly freezing, even in winter.
He most likely has PTSD, possibly C-PTSD. He also has Bipolar II disorder, NPD, ASD, ADHD, and a couple other stuff. However, he refuses to get diagnosed for some reason.
There is probably more fun facts but ive forgotten right now. Oops.
I will probably edit this when I want to change his lore or add a new random fact about him or smt.

Thoughts: So, uh, I read a lot of books this month. I leaned into beating my total from last year since I was close and read a lot of short reads, graphic novels, and the children's books I was giving for gifts.
There were some good reads this month, including two new canine narrators that I adore: Fox 8 and Snuff from A Night in the Lonesome October (which really should be a big tumblr book as it has Jack the Ripper, Dracula, the Wolf Man, a witch, a clergyman, a druid, Victor Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes, a Rasputin-coded mad monk, and occultists along with their familiars scheming over the fate of the world).

idk if this is weird but could you write aegon with the reader from can't stand me now, but in canon universe?
Tumblr media
“Tell me, where will Lady Stark go once your betrothal is confirmed?” Leon Estermont asks, an odd glint in his eye that truly could be the wine gone to his head. You lean your face against Aegon’s knee, sat at the foot of the Iron Throne because no matter how leisurely he may throw himself into it, you do not trust it not to cut you no matter how many times Aegon tells you that his lap is a safe spot. Already you don’t agree with the weather, you do not need an infection from that chair making you warmer.
“Sending me away, are you?” You ask, zero decorum of using his title, as it is irrelevant between you. You take another sip of the goblet in your grasp as you peer up at Aegon. He places a hand on your hair, smoothing your unkempt and unbraided tresses. A smile crosses his face as if the two of you are the only ones in the room.
“There won’t be a betrothal,” he dismisses, “perhaps when I was younger, but now I am king! And as king, I cannot have a marriage I would just put aside anyway after an heir is born.”
That is news to you. There had been talk of Aegon being betrothed to Lady Larissa Lannister, the younger sister of the twins, while Helaena was being sent to marry your elder brother Cregan in the north to secure alliances across the continent to better bolster support for his claim. Helaena is about to depart for the north, and for which you had already given her a journal about your families customs and a cloak you had made to keep her warm, a dragon and a wolf dancing embroidered on it, with a little glittery jewel to signify a beetle in one of the corners for her. While you hate her bugs, you understand their importance to her, and took great care finding beads that could look like one.
“The Hand won’t stand for a widow at your side,” Estermont continues, “Unless you plan on having her married off too?”
And he has a point, at the end of the day, you are a widow. It matters not how you advise the king or keep him out of trouble, you are a woman. It is even more unbecoming how the group of you stumble the halls drunkenly night after night. If the hand were to have it, you would be married off and sent away by dawn. Aegon, and the affection between you, are what keeps you in King’s Landing. It’s not like the thought hasn’t crossed your mind before, but as long as Aegon is king, he will keep you here. Never have you had a friend like this. Maybe Sara, your sweet sister, with whom you shared all of your secrets. Never a bond as deep as these two, even during your brief marriage. Your husband was… kind, to a point. But worse, he was old, and so boring it drove you to madness more often than not. It was lucky, maybe, that the marriage was short lived. Even with the widow laws, you refused what your step children that were older than you would have given you.
“Do you want to get married?” Aegon asks, his hand playing with your hair stopping.
“Will it be to another old man?” you quip back, a wicked smile growing on your features, “You wouldn’t let me get bored, would you? I’m terribly mad when I’m bored. Have you ever seen a wolf dance like your dragons do?”
Perhaps you are laying it on a bit thick.
“See, Estermont?” He asks, laughing as he yanks a lock of your hair, “She cannot get married. It would bore her. Drinking with me keeps her madness at bay. Haven’t you ever seen the wrath of a wolf?”
Leon Estermont throws up his hands in defeat.
“I am simply weighing the whispers in these halls,” he tells the both of you.
The conversation turns, the wine flows again, but Aegon’s hand never leaves your head, your body never not leaning against him.
“May I walk you to your chambers?” Aegon asks after Edward Water’s falls asleep in his chair, the last of the kingsguard to fall asleep. You stand eagerly, your legs starting to cramp at your spot next to the throne.
“Gladly,” you say.
As he leads you out of the hall, he leans in to whisper.
“Do you think Helaena will be alright in the north?”
“I think she will take to my Sara quite well. The two of them are very thoughtful and gentle,” you tell him, and you mean it. While Aegon may have rejected marrying Helaena, he still cares deeply for her happiness. It is simply that he does not show it, so no one in the court would know.
“I am glad to hear it.”
He puts your arm in his as you reach the steps, and guides you easily. You do this every night, and the walk is like muscle memory.
“Listen, what Estermont said…” you begin, not sure how to continue. In truth, his words had upset you, had worried you. While you miss the cold, you cannot go back north. There is nothing left for you there besides caring for your infant nephew, and you were not ready yet to hold babes and dry their tears. You could not, without any doubt, imagine a life where you did not speak to or see Aegon every day. Aegon is a constant, a confidant. Laughter and understanding flowing between the two of you like the ever constant flow of a river.
“Do not fret,” Aegon shushes you, “I will not marry her or have you married off. If I cannot prevent that, then I will put her aside and claim the right of the first night with you and ruin your marriage so you may stay by my side.”
Aegon says it simply, as if he has thought very long and hard about it. Perhaps that is because he has, you realize. Aegon has thought very deeply about your future, of ways to keep the two of you together, even if it meant ruining the reputations of everyone involved.
“Aegon, I do not mean to discourage this lovely plan, but I believe the right of the first night was outlawed.”
“Then I will un-outlaw it. I will in law it, even,” a broad grin shines even in the moonlight, “The King will command it.”
You chuckle, and your hand reaches out to swat at his chest, your fingers brushing against the chains around his neck.
“That is… a lot of political effort and ruin for a friend,” you muse, ignoring the heat stirring in your chest and behind your cheeks. Aegon simply shrugs.
“You are worth it, Stark.”
“Whispers would grow, one might think you love me,” you gently push him with your shoulder as you joke, smiling at him. You flirt with disaster by doing this, you know it. The gentle touches, the late nights, the way he holds you and dines with you and dances with you could leave if it strikes his fancy. Love is dangerous, yet his friendship is eternal.
Aegon reaches the top of the steps, pulling you to stop at the bannister. He stumbles slightly as he leads you, until your back touches stone. But no matter how clumsy and fumbling his feet may be, his hands are calculated and gentle as they smooth your sleeves down until he reaches your hands.
“And if I did? What then?”
Your lips fall open, shock painting your face. His hands are warm, sweaty, and yet they are the only thing tethering you and keeping you upright. Had you heard him correctly? Surely, this is not a joke?
“What then, indeed,” you reply, not willing to show the joy that this would be if he is indeed serious. There is always a chance he will not remember this in the morning, but you might not be so lucky, his breath does not smell as it does on those nights.
Aegon doesn’t respond with words, as no words are needed. A low, even wider smile spreads and splits across his face before his head falls onto your shoulder, and the two of you laugh in your awkward and drunken embrace.

As much as I adore Lilo & Stitch: The Series and Kim Possible, I don't think my brain returns to any Saturday Cartoon Adventures more than:
Aladdin: The Series - Remember the one where the cat goddess is kidnapping children and turning them into monsters? Or the one where there's a prophecy that Aladdin will die? Or the one where Genie is being hunted by the last of a race of magic-vampires? Or the one where Aladdin is being possessed by the vanquished sorcerer Mozenrath's (what a name) spirit through his magic glove? Or the one where Aladdin literally crosses over with Hercules?
Tumblr media
The Little Mermaid: The Series - I think about that episode where she gets sucked down into the trippy, surreal Wonderland trench and can't escape probably every week. Go to Disney Plus and find that episode, it's called "Charmed," it's worth it.
Tumblr media
The Legend of Tarzan - Like every episode is burned in my brain forever. The Opar episodes where he'd rather die than choose anybody but Jane, even after he thinks she's dead. The one with the Mad Elephant where Tantor thinks he's contracted the same illness. The one with DINOSAURS. The one where the new radio tower makes every animal go insane and try to kill Tarzan and Jane. The one where a different ape challenges Tarzan for leadership and WINS. The one where Jane's friends come to the jungle to rescue her. The one where Tarzan gets locked in like a prison camp with Teddy Roosevelt?! The one with a magical healing albino gorilla?! The one with Kerchak's old rival Tublat coming to try and take over the gorilla family in a series of traps? ! The one with the giant snake?! The one where Tarzan gets bit by a spider and almost DIES?! The one where Clayton's sister comes and forces Tarzan to choose between saving himself from poison or saving all of his loved ones from several death traps in time?! The one where the African tribes from the Tarzan books help Tarzan find a cure for a deadly disease in special two-part episodes?! The one with a WWII spy coming and trying to steal Jane's affections while simultaneously looking for war information he left in a music box he sent to her?! WHY IS THIS NOT ON DISNEY+?!
Tumblr media
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - Skilled. Courageous. And ever-vigilant. Leaping into action, it's BUZZ LIGHTYEAR, of STAR! COMMAND! I'm tired of having to dig around the Internet to watch episodes like The Wirewolf where an old Space Ranger buddy gets turned into a machine-mauling cybernetic wolf monster by the light of a radioactive moon, or the one where an "energy vampire" named N0S4-A2 tries to eat Buzz's robot friend.
Tumblr media
Come on. We got The Little Mermaid: The Series. That Tarzan & Jane movie isn't enough! WHERE ARE THE REST OF THEM, DISNEY

Some Jaime Lannister Moments I Wish Fandom Remembered
Look, Jaime’s POVs are some of GRRM’s best. He has some great moments of bravery and kindness, and the reveal of why he killed Aerys tilts the reader’s and in-universe characters’ assumptions on their head.
However, there’s a bad habit of making fanon!Jaime a lot better person than canon!Jaime, ignoring his faults and dialing up his virtues, sometimes blaming all his sins on Cersei, as if he never makes choices of his own. Which… loses a lot of the nuance and contradictions that make Jaime such a fascinating character.
So, I’d like to lay out a few key canon quotes
AGOT, Tyrion I
Jaime Lannister regarded his brother thoughtfully with those cool green eyes. "Stark will never consent to leave Winterfell with his son lingering in the shadow of death."
"He will if Robert commands it," Tyrion said. "And Robert will command it. There is nothing Lord Eddard can do for the boy in any case."
"He could end his torment," Jaime said. "I would, if it were my son. It would be a mercy."
ASOS, Jaime I
"A man who would violate his own sister, murder his king, and fling an innocent child to his death deserves no other name."
Innocent? The wretched boy was spying on us.
ASOS, Jaime VII
He was curiously calm. Men were supposed to go mad with grief when their children died, he knew. They were supposed to tear their hair out by the roots, to curse the gods and swear red vengeance. So why was it that he felt so little? The boy lived and died believing Robert Baratheon his sire.
Jaime had seen him born, that was true, though more for Cersei than the child. But he had never held him. "How would it look?" his sister warned him when the women finally left them. "Bad enough Joff looks like you without you mooning over him." Jaime yielded with hardly a fight. The boy had been a squalling pink thing who demanded too much of Cersei's time, Cersei's love, and Cersei's breasts. Robert was welcome to him.
And now he's dead. He pictured Joff lying still and cold with a face black from poison, and still felt nothing. Perhaps he was the monster they claimed. If the Father Above came down to offer him back his son or his hand, Jaime knew which he would choose. He had a second son, after all, and seed enough for many more.
ASOS, Jaime IX
"You say Sansa killed him. Why protect her?"
Because Joff was no more to me than a squirt of seed in Cersei's cunt. And because he deserved to die. "I have made kings and unmade them. Sansa Stark is my last chance for honor." Jaime smiled thinly. "Besides, kingslayers should band together. Are you ever going to go?"
AFFC, Jaime IV
"Do you see that window, ser?" Jaime used a sword to point. "That was Raymun Darry's bedchamber. Where King Robert slept, on our return from Winterfell. Ned Stark's daughter had run off after her wolf savaged Joff, you'll recall. My sister wanted the girl to lose a hand. The old penalty, for striking one of the blood royal. Robert told her she was cruel and mad. They fought for half the night . . . well, Cersei fought, and Robert drank. Past midnight, the queen summoned me inside. The king was passed out snoring on the Myrish carpet. I asked my sister if she wanted me to carry him to bed. She told me I should carry her to bed, and shrugged out of her robe. I took her on Raymun Darry's bed after stepping over Robert. If His Grace had woken I would have killed him there and then. He would not have been the first king to die upon my sword . . . but you know that story, don't you?" He slashed at a tree branch, shearing it in half. "As I was fucking her, Cersei cried, 'I want.' I thought that she meant me, but it was the Stark girl that she wanted, maimed or dead." The things I do for love. "It was only by chance that Stark's own men found the girl before me. If I had come on her first . . ."
AFFC, Jaime V
Genna Lannister had been a shapely woman in her youth, always threatening to overflow her bodice. Now the only shape she had was square. Her face was broad and smooth, her neck a thick pink pillar, her bosom enormous. She carried enough flesh to make two of her husband. Jaime hugged her dutifully and waited for her to pinch his ear. She had been pinching his ear for as long as he could remember, but today she forbore. Instead, she planted soft and sloppy kisses on his cheeks. "I am sorry for your loss."
"I had a new hand made, of gold." He showed her.
"Very nice. Will they make you a gold father too?" Lady Genna's voice was sharp. "Tywin was the loss I meant."
AFFC, Jaime VI
Must you make me say the words? Pia was standing by the flap of the tent with her arms full of clothes. His squires were listening as well, and the singer. Let them hear, Jaime thought. Let the world hear. It makes no matter. He forced himself to smile, "You've seen our numbers, Edmure. You've seen the ladders, the towers, the trebuchets, the rams. If I speak the command, my coz will bridge your moat and break your gate. Hundreds will die, most of them your own. Your former bannermen will make up the first wave of attackers, so you'll start your day by killing the fathers and brothers of men who died for you at the Twins. The second wave will be Freys, I have no lack of those. My westermen will follow when your archers are short of arrows and your knights so weary they can hardly lift their blades. When the castle falls, all those inside will be put to the sword. Your herds will be butchered, your godswood will be felled, your keeps and towers will burn. I'll pull your walls down, and divert the Tumblestone over the ruins. By the time I'm done no man will ever know that a castle once stood here." Jaime got to his feet. "Your wife may whelp before that. You'll want your child, I expect. I'll send him to you when he's born. With a trebuchet."

A Clash of Kings First Read - Chapter 35
(POV: Bran V.)
Setting: Winterfell.
Favorite character: I don't really want to say Jojen... but I'm gonna say Jojen anyway. Because even though he's like the harbinger of death for Bran and Rickon (and Alebelly and Septon Chayle and Mikken), he's like... very regretful about it. And he's so mysterious too! But I also really liked Bran and Meera, because they're so protective of the people they care about.
MVP: Jojen. I mean, it's hard to interpret his dreams (the meal in his green dream turned out to be a letter somehow??), but if he really has premonitions, then yeah, he's one of the most powerful beings on Westeros right now, I think? (Then again, he doesn't really do anything to try and prevent them from happening, so...)
Things I loved/liked:
I really liked Jojen in this chapter, he has some really great moments like when he says, "The past. The future. The truth," about the things people fear from dreams.
[Bran] was scared, even then, but he had sworn to trust them, and a Stark of Winterfell keeps his sworn word. Because it's the first time Bran actually talks about his dreams (some of his descriptions really broke my heart, like "Mother was afraid that I would fall but I knew I never would. Only I did, and now when I sleep I fall all the time"), but also because he trusts the Reeds! Yay!!
Bran at the start of the chapter, when he's so happy about Robb's letter and before it all goes to sh*t when he realizes this was Jojen's dream. And the fact that he shows that he really cares about the well-being of his people when he warns Mikken, Septon Chayle and Alebelly of Jojen's dream, knowing almost certainly that they wouldn't believe him (and most of them didn't).
But also Bran throughout the chapter, because he's extremely perceptive and intelligent, like when he asks "And there are still giants there, and... the rest... the Others, and the children of the forest too?" to Osha, and she answers, "The giants I've seen, the children I've heard tell of, and the white walkers..." I somehow really like that she doesn't try to hide the truth from Bran.
I'm sorry and I probably shouldn't be laughing about it, but Alebelly's reaction to Bran's warning that he would drown... xD
Things I disliked/hated:
Do I need to mention the Walders' behavior after learning about the death of their uncle? "We're very sad." And very believable too, if a nine-year-old could see right through you.
That f*cking Bolton Bastard... Seriously, he marries a woman, a lady, and then starves her to death, making her eat her own fingers??! That's one sick person right there. But oh well, here's a dead character I won't miss then.
The sea! If that's not a metaphor for Theon or Asha or Victarion, then I don't know what is. Which makes me sad (and mad, very mad), because if it's Theon, then it means he really has betrayed Robb, and not just in thoughts.
I'm really really worried for Bran (and Rickon, of course). Because I have a feeling Jojen's dreams are true, and if they are, well then it means that Bran and Rickon are going to die and why the hell wouldn't Jojen want his sister to go kill Reek? I'm pretty sure she could handle it if she was the one to suggest it in the first place, and she could slip past the guards or something!
Quotes: Jojen's "A knight is what you want. A warg is what you are. You can't change that, Bran, you can't deny it or push it away. You are the winged wolf, but you will never fly," because 1) Jojen is very blunt but actually means well, 2) it's rather poetic, and 3) now we know what Bran is!!
Thoughts overall: Very intriguing and worrying.

Blind Love (Part 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robin & Original Characters
Set many, many years ago during one of the times Rogh "went mad for a bit". He calls on his newest fellow ghost for help.
A scream loud enough to shatter the clouds woke her up.
Aelfwyn reached for the dagger before she remembered she was already dead. Her brain needed a few seconds to make sense of why she was sleeping outside. Not that unusual if she was on watch duty or out hunting but there was no fire or bedroll beside her, just grass and the lone tree she had chosen to rest under.
But she hadn't gone to sleep alone. She knew that much. Not her sister...not the one who killed her.
Another scream, clear this time, coming from the woods.
She may already be dead, fragments of her skull still left in the ground where she fell, while the rest of her body had been buried - and partly eaten - by her family, however she didn't doubt that meant she was immune from danger.
Aelfwyn was no warrior. She had planned to be a midwife like her mother. But all in her tribe were trained to pick up a weapon and defend the village at all costs. She had a new tribe to care for now.
She unsheathed her dagger and ran into the woods, following the screams.
"It's me, friend! Is everything OK?" She called out to her one companion in this realm.
The man had not told her his name, even after the two weeks they had spent together. Because he did not remember it. Sometimes she would watch him as he slept and he'd mumble so many names, lips quivering, brow twitching. Any of them could be his own, or those he lost years past. She considered offering to name him herself but that felt wrong. Instead she prayed to Rhiannon to sooth his mind with her calming light. With any luck, she would tell her his name when it came to him.
Until then, he was just Friend.
Aelfwyn finds the crazed man in furs pacing around the woods, surrounded by piles of autumn leaves. His top half rocks back and forth in a frenzy, his hands pawing desperately at his own shift.
"Hey, hey, what is it? What's wrong?" Not sensing any threat, she sheathed her dagger and went to him.
This wasn't the first time she'd seen him deep in the throws of his madness, crying and screaming and mumbling to himself, seemingly unaware of her presence.
"Look at me. Friend. Tell me what's wrong."
"She gone! She gone, I lose her! I lose baby!" The man cried out and pulled at his hair.
Aelfwyn tried to gently catch his wrists; "Kya? You sure she's not in your furs?"
The man shook his head.
"Me check everywhere, every pocket, every flap." He pulled back some of his front to bare his chest to her, "Me even take off boot to check, she not in there! That what her sister used to do...."
She could see his mind was starting to drift again. Aelfwyn snapped her fingers.
"Stay with me. Where did you last see her?" Once again, she seemed to be stuck in the role of being the sensible sister.
It had been one of the strangest things in this new land she was trapped in. Her only companion being this strange, ancient being who was convinced that the dead wolf cub he carried around was one of his own children. It reminded her of one of the old women in her village who would sing to dolls of straw. Aelfwyn knew it best not try to tell them the truth. Not when it would only bring more pain.
The man, who was barely as tall as her, rubbed at his head.
"Me...Me take her for walk in wood to try to settle her...Used to always work. Step and bounce, step and bounce, baby go sleep." He mumbled, wistfully; "But think it make me sleepy more. I lay down in leaves with her tuck in tight and close eyes....just for second...When I wake...she gone! Kya gone, again!"
"Hey, it's okay. It's not your fault." Aelfwyn took his hand; "Is there any chance she...went up to the stars, as you say?"
"No. Me still hear her. Can't you? She cry. She looking for me but she lost!"
Aelfwyn went still, doing her best to listen for the smallest mewl that she'd grown familiar with lately.
"You can't hear...Maybe I only hear....Like I hear her brothers and sisters cry...Like I see them in dreams. Daddy, where Daddy, why Daddy no get up, Mummy why Moonah take Daddy away...."
"No, that might not be it." It was a possibility but she wouldn't say it just yet, "It's hard to hear much in this wind. Come. I'll help you look for her, yes? We can be very quiet and listen out. She can't even crawl on those legs, she can't have got far."
Her reasoning got through to him, one trained hunter to another. He nodded, not letting go of her hand.
Leading her to the spot where he fell asleep, Aelfwyn carefully crouched down and began putting her hands through the piles of leaves. They were at a disadvantage, not a single one moving at their ethereal touch. But surely there was also less to cover up sound.
"Kya? Kya, come on, little one." She tried to whistle.
"Daddy hunt big boar. We cook bum on fire. You get biggest bit if you come out." He said, voice breaking; "Please don't hide from Daddy, Kya..."
It didn't take too long for the gale to quieten just long to allow a tiny piercing cry to reach them.
Aelfwyn raced in the direction and put her hands through a large pile of yellow and orange and brown until...
"There you are! Come here, you little mutt." She laughed, feeling that soft velvet fur against her fingers. She scooped the newborn cub out and held it inches from her face; "You're in big trouble, young lady, making your dad worry like that. You're lucky he's a big softie, my father would have walloped me good-"
"Kya!" Her friend called out in relief, "Give me baby! Now!" He demanded, as if it had been Aelfwyn who took her.
She tried not to react to it, merely turning and handing the cub into her friend's outstretched hands.
The man took her and tears fell from his eyes as he cradled the cub close.
"She's okay. She's safe. Just wanted to go exploring, I think." Aelfwyn placated.
"No! No explore! No leaving! Must never leave!"
He turned and ran several yards until finding what looked to be an abandoned deer den. The man tucked the cub back under his furs and brought his knees to his chest, rocking back and forth, that glassy look in his eyes as vacant as ever.
Aelfwyn followed with caution. She thought that he'd been making some progress lately, seeming a tad more lucid and willing to talk, to meet her eyes. This seemed to have set him back.
"Must not leave. Must not leave." He muttered, one hand tucked inside to keep stroking the whining cub.
He brought her up briefly to kiss the top of her head.
"Daddy sorry. Daddy never let you go again. Daddy never leave. Daddy never leave."
Aelfwyn sat with her legs crossed outside the den. She waited a while before speaking, letting his panic ease naturally.
"Have you looked up at the sky tonight?" She asked.
He shook his head; "Eyes stay on ground, looking for cub..."
"Well you should. I think you'll see why she was trying to explore."
The man blinked at her, confused, then peered up, crawling carefully out of the den.
A bright, round silver orb was impossible to miss as it shone above the treetops.
"Moonah..." He whispered, as if having forgotten she existed.
"Wol...Babies know the moon is sacred. I think she just wanted to say hello. Even if she can't see her." Aelfwyn said, "I know she's small but even babies get bored and need more than just cuddles. She probably wants to smell new things, feel some of the world...Nothing can hurt ghosts, you said?"
He winced; "Except other ghosts..."
"Right, well that won't be a problem will it." She patted her sheath; "I'll keep us both safe if it comes to that."
He seemed to think for a moment.
"....Me no want to be boring dad. That almost as bad as mean dad." He muttered.
"I'm sure you're anything but either." She grinned.
It took a little bit more coaxing and assuring, to the point it nearly seemed like the sun was going to rise. But Aelfwyn eventually managed to tug the man out of the den and exit the woods with her.
The moon still hung relatively bright in the heavens as they stepped into the field, the sacred site just across from them.
Digging the cub carefully out from his furs, the man held her gently to face the sky.
"Moonah. You remember Kya, my baby. You bring her back to me." He whispered, "Kya give thanks to Moonah."
The little cub whimpered and stretched all four of her undeveloped paws out.
"That might have been a howl? I'm not sure." Said Aelfwyn.
"Ha! We work on that. Plenty of time."
The man smiled. Aelfwyn wondered if it was the first true one she'd seen on his face.
"Yeah, bit of practice she'll be roaring in no time."
"Roar...Roar...Oh! That it!" He bounced, excited as a youth.
She frowned, worried he was about to throw the pup.
"What?"
"That my name! I remember. Rrroghr!" He began to laugh, triumphantly; "My name Rrroghr!"
"Rogh?" She attempted, butchering it a little. "That's amazing!" She sent a silent prayer of thanks to the gods.
The man, her friend Rogh, continued to laugh and twirl with the pup held in his hands.
"Daddy called Rogh, Kya! Rogh!"
Aelfwyn couldn't help but laugh, despite the man's broken mind. It was a wonder to see such joy shine from his ancient eyes. One step at a time. She decided to take this as a sign that even in death the gods were watching over them.

super close with her mom and siblings.
is always trying to take care of everyone else but herself
she's not always the most understanding after putting so many things on her plate but she will listen and give you hugs when you need it
she loves reading and writing stories. it's the only thing that has kept her functioning
as a kid, haven was kind of the best of both worlds between her brother and sister. she was not as reserved as her brother but not quite as independent as her sister.
she always admired that her brother would try his best to take care of them in his own way. she was naturally a caring person who wanted the people she cared about most to be alright. to be happy. gradually, she put herself to the side and focused more on making sure her sister, her mom, and even the brother dedicated to taking care of her was alright. even if it wasn't big things, she would always make sure they were good.
even with her mild mannered and kind nature, haven definitely had a temper simmering beneath the surface. she was more passive aggressive when she got mad. but when it came to her family, she could be every bit the belligerent werewolf her sister could. her rage was just more contained, more in the shadows.
during high school, haven focused more on her future. on being able to take care of the people cared about most. she joined clubs, she took ap classes, she did everything she could for her future college applications. she planned on going to best college she could get and get a career that could take care of her family.
after high school, haven initially went away to college. she struggled, always worried about her family and if they were doing alright. after her first year and many panic attacks later, she transferred to a university back in louisiana where she was only a drive away.
when haven found out that both her siblings had disappeared, she didn't quite handle that well either. but she shoved all that aside to focus on her mother. she knew that tara would be even worse off than she was. they were all her children after all. haven transferred once again, but this time to an online university. she was determined to make sure her mom was alright. she found herself a job ( or two ) and focused all her energy on keeping what was left of her family sane and functional, herself be darned.
when her siblings appeared again after being trapped in a prison world, haven spread her energies to making sure that they were sane and functional. she would make sure they remembered to eat, what their schedules were, make sure the house was clean, etc.
after the gala, she is a nuerotic mess, requiring her mom and siblings to keep in touch so she can make sure that they haven't disappeared again.

Whiskey Bottles & Wild Flowers: Meet Leonard ‘Wolfman’ Wolfe
Tumblr media
Leonard Daniel Wolfe, named after his great grandfather, held so much potential in his parents’ eyes. As the first born he was to inherit, at the time, the small ranch that his parents started.
When Leo met the two biggest influences in his life, Duckie and Cricket, he knew it was going to be difficult. First, his best friends were girls, sisters, to be specific. Second, he’s liked Cricket since they were children and he didn’t know how to tell her.
When Macy Jensen asked him to dance at prom, he really didn’t want to unless it was with Cricket. Macy grabbed his hands and with unexpected strength, pulled him up and dragged him to the dance floor.
He tried to go back to his table and wait for Cricket to come back from the bathroom, but she clutched him and kept him attached to her. When Cricket came back and saw him with her, she finally let go and placed a sickly sweet kiss on his cheek.
He tried to explain it to Cricket, but got nowhere near it. She was just upset and didn’t talk to him for awhile. When the silent treatment stopped, their relationship changed. It was strictly friends from then on. Sure, there were some less than friendly flirting every once in a while, but it never went anywhere.
The summer before Senior year, it changed again. Late nights sneaking out and going to parties, getting drunk and then waking up early to get to chores around the ranches. One specific party, Leo and Cricket ended up getting so drunk that they made out. The next morning, Leo went to ask her about it, but she said she couldn’t remember it. Leo really wanted the talk to lead to more of a relationship.
The friends were inseparable their last year of high school, they all had the same classes and lunch schedules. Leonard won’t lie, he never really saw a future for himself in his hometown. He wanted bigger things, but he didn’t know exactly what. He knew that many of his family members had joined up in many different branches of the military.
Growing up and listening to his Great-Grandpa Leonard’s war stories were always some of his favorite to hear, so when the Navy had some soldiers visit and try to recruit some young men, he walked up and got a pamphlet. When Leo had completed all of his high school credits, he really didn’t have a reason to be at school anymore. Sure, he went so that Duckie & Cricket wouldn’t be alone, but he was bored.
One day after school he got a call and was told that there was a spot opened for Basic if he wanted it, all he had to do was graduate early. Leonard really wanted to stay to support his best friends, but he could have a jump start on his future if he left.
He asked the recruiter if he could have a couple of weeks to think and when he was permitted, Leo thought long and hard about his decision. He was gonna turn down the spot and wait until afterwards, but then Cricket and he got into a fight, he said ‘screw it’ and called them back.
The next day, he left for basic without saying goodbye to his friends. Leo knew that he had hurt Duckie and Cricket, he felt bad for how he left. When he had received letters from his family, he had to fight the urge to ask about them.
Leo was mad, they hadn’t even tried to reach out to him, and he didn’t write them either. He couldn’t, he didn’t wanna look eager. Leo knew that if he did write to Cricket, he’d spill his feelings towards her and if he wrote to Duckie, he’d just gush to about her sister.
With Basic over and officially being in the Navy, he met his pilot Rick ‘Hollywood’ Neven. The two young men grew close and became best friends. Through the years, completing missions, moving base to base, drinking after hours, and graduating from Top Gun, both men learned a lot about each other.
After the mission at graduation, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet gave all of the men leave. Rick didn’t have family he wanted to visit, an old falling out with his parents. Leo talked to his parents and they invited Rick, for he was their son’s pilot and friend, practically family at that point.
Leo caught up with Duckie and Cricket over the years apart and grew close again. He and Cricket were back to acting like high schoolers, flirting and always touching. They hadn’t really talked about where the relationship would go, but it seemed like it would work out in the end.
When the other pilots arrived at the ranch, Leo showed a different side of himself. He was more protective of his sisters, including Duckie, and Cricket. He was also more of a goofball, especially around the Pruitt girls.
The pilots and their families had to split themselves between both ranches for rooms, but at dinner everyone gathered at the Wolfe’s house. Leo’s friends joined in the chores around the ranch while they were there and had lots of laughs, jokes, stories, and drinks every night.
After they left, there was only seven more days of leave for Leo. Their sisters and mother’s meddled and trapped them into saying what they felt for each other, so they went on a date. On their night out, someone said something and Leo went off like a hot pistol. It upset Cricket and she had to drag him out of the diner. The drive back was quiet and long.
The next couple of days, Leo and Cricket didn’t speak, so Leo and Rick left a couple of days early back to base. When the pilots got back, Leo’s behavior was different than they had ever seen him. He didn’t want to hang out at the O Club anymore and stayed home every night, he looked like he hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a while. Leo even started to not shave his facial hair and had scruff.
One day after training Leo came home to see his best friends sitting on his front porch swing, suitcases nearby. He ran up and hugged the girls, before turning to face Cricket, giving her a sweet kiss. Duckie gave the two love birds one last hug before running off to see her boyfriend.

So i wanted to post some ofy writing for some constructive criticism this story is about Freddy, a witch living in a post apocalyptic world with hunters who hunt the supernatural (werewolf, witches, demons,,ect) the start of the story is structured like a diary.... enjoy!
/6/99 it's been 2 years since this all started. The apocalyptic is not what anyone expected and and at the same time what everyone expected.  Just like the movies the dead and evil the matter creatures and 5hr wicked and the  powerful walk the earth but like any good movie there the good to fight the bad.
the hunters,  packs of people and communities that hunt and fight the creatures  to keep what left  of   humanity safe.  Now hunting creatures are pretty easy cause  the  creatures look non human ( animal parts, decomposeing bodys, rainbowed coloured skin, ect) except for witches and wolfs (saying werewolf while fighting a werewolf takes to long so hunters nicknamed them  wolf).
While other creatures look non humn, witchess and wolfs look fully human exept for full moonns and when  they are using that powers, wolfs turn into Actual wolfs on full moon while witches when they use their powers have glowing eyes and sometimes lavate  items or thair hair while using said powers (depending on their emotional state: magic can be inhanced while the user is in distressed  or having a powerful, strong emption).
When the apocalyptic or k.o the world fell to shambles, back then my parents  and my older sister oldalia was alive. My parents never told my sister and I that they were hunters   till a wendigo came to our house to seek revenge on my parents by killing my sister and I. Luckily my sister knew how to fight and killed the beast but not before in seriously injured myself and killed our parents.
After  that the leader of the huntrs group our parents were in came to see if we had survived or not and saw me bleeeding out and my sister freaking out tryong to stop the blood with a crappy cheep first aid kit from Costco thats been sitting in our bathroom for the last 5 years , he decide to take us in and train  us to be hunters
He took is to a place called the compound wishing was like a big fenced house? We had towa p k through the house into the back yard were they was a tall 20 metre wall that connect from one said of the house to the other making a big square backyard, the black had another bounding in the back right corner called  the units and a couple caravans parked next to the on a side of the wall was a later so you could climb and see up over the wall. In the centre of the place was a massive bonfire with chairs spread around and a small open tent nets to the fire that seemed to be a kitchen of sorts?
As  we were showed around we meet some other kids a few the same ages as me like Rose and Tim or a few younger like dive, honey, blaze and Kate, Jason and Arnold.
Oldalia and I were given a two roomed unit. the leader,Micheal as he introduced himself said that oldalia was in  harvest of the upkeep and of me, which rude I was a big old 7 year old I could look after myself but the siad I was to young well now im nine how much older do I have to be
It was decided that all children in the compound must learn to fight, they said it would take about you years bit some of us could be allowed to hunt earlier if the teachers agreed that we were ready, it tooka year but oldalia was elected to become a hunters where she was branded with the robin  sigele on her wrist
11/7/101 today we caught a witch, her name was emerald, she told us that she didn't know how she got her powers and that she didn't make a deal with demons to get them. Of course Micheal the pack leader ( a hunters community is often called packs) said she was lying but me and oldalia believe her
12/7/102 Micheal was beyond mad, he caught oldalia and I releasing emerald or as i call her em.  we where able to get her out of the compound by pushing her over the wall, luckily her set power was levitation so she stopped her self from splating on the  ground, 8 hope i meet her again or maybe not if Micheal still wants to kill her
23/5/100 all the kids of the compound and me have decided ot make out own war room since we're not allowed in the adults one until  we're older  which rude, like we face the same monsters as you and have been doing it for years but we're not old enough. We cominderd a tree or tow to make a tree house it took weeks cause we kept getting called on hunts and the younger kids who didn't couldn't bould or pick up have items like u older kids
1/4/103 oldiali has been acting distent from me and really everyone else for the matter, irs been weeks and at first o
U thought it was a hunt gone wrong or I pissed her off again by playing a prank on her but she's never given me the cols shoulder like this before, and to make things worse I've been getting this buzz feeling under my skin and one of my eyes are becoming purple instead of the vibrant blue I have, I've managed to have me hair over my eye so none notices but someone will eventually. One a hopefully better note ildial told me to meet her in the k.o treetops headquarters

Silim 𝘈𝘭𝘰𝘯 𝘛. 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰 (1)
Lore
Your local good boy Ravenclaw (ignore the dead poachers and goblins and tortured Victor Rookwood)
A young Filipino half-blood student who has attended Hogwarts in his fifth year rather than his first year. His mother is a witch and his father is a Karaniwan (Filipino’s version of a muggle). He has two older brothers and two older sisters. His grandmother (from mother’s side) is a long-time pen pal and friend of Professor Fig. His mother is an excellent dancer and his father a singer, he inherited those talents. He isn't normally the quiet type, only talking to whom he’s comfortable with. He doesn’t share his experiences unless it is people whom he is close with but he is very friendly. He used to live in the Philippines but he, his oldest brother, and father moved to England for his brother’s and father’s job when he was 10 years old. They have lived there for 4 years. His mother, second older brother, and older sister still live in the Philippines.
His species is of Venorxesin. His mother is a canine Venorxesin and his father is a feline Venorxesin (his father doesn’t have magic). This makes him have wolf ears and a wolf tail but his eyes have slitted pupils like that of felines.
Now... what are Venorxesins?
They are known to wield arcane magic, experts in divination and far-sight for their connection with the deep magic. Instead of wands and the spells used by wizardkind nor goblins, the Venorxesin draw runes with their hands for spellcasting. Venorxesins live in packs that can include wizardkind, goblin, and other creatures. Children learn their primal magic from pack elders. Packs can travel or settle.
They are known for their primal nature but they are actually civil and progressive.
However, there is the phenomena of the Selenic Hysteria. The Selenic Hysteria happens not during a full moon but when the leylines in an area become corrupted to the point the area becomes encased in celestial bodies that look distorted. It messes with their Primal Magic Cores and causes them to go into hysteria, causing destruction and madness.
The Venorxesins are considered dangerous for this. However, they can be kind and have instances of protecting their own packs.
Primal Magic Cores are not very different from regular magic cores. However, these Primal Magic Cores make them cast magic that are more on instinct. This makes them easily formidable with wandless magic and learning magic quickly.
Their magic's visual effect is also different. What all Venorax's magic visual effects look like is that they look like black wisps.
Venorxesin have the ability to summon their inner canine and feline spirits.
Venorxesins have either canine or feline features, some with a mix of canine and feline. All of their eyes' pupils are more animalistic, either canine and feline pupils. Their backs have magic marks (Jade Vines) that glow when casting spells of particular powerful bursts.
