But please listen this is very important: please don't go to protest at the museum of tolerance to protest her 47 minute propaganda film.

I know this sounds like I'm telling people what to do but this is veryimportant that we need to listen:

What she's doing is a trap.

A Zionist trap by the IDF & Israeli military to get all Arabs, Muslims, Black, non-jewish, and brown folks protesting to say what they're doing is "Antisemitic" to derail the work everyone has been doing. So that they can film protesters and claim it's a "pro-hamas" rally to manipulate people.

JVP and other Jewish organizations are planning to demonstrate outside of the museum of tolerance.

The people that should demonstrate this should be Jewish allies to the Palestinian movement, their voices are extremely important in this situation.

If you are non-white or not Jewish, please sit this one out and do not attend. Let Jewish allies go.

As someone with chronic pain who wears braces basically everyday and will probably need some sort of mobility aid in the not-so-distant future, and as someone whose community includes disabled people, and as someone who is doing my best to work in museums I feel like it’s irresponsible to not be ferally furious when I go to museums for my coursework or for fun and they aren’t accessible or are only partially accessible.

(Or when I’m listening to a curator-led lecture on counter cultural art and zine production and there’s not anything in the entire exhibition about disability

Or when im the only one of my classmates on the tour wearing a mask)

If museums are supposed to be public community spaces and you make them inaccessible to physically disabled people or you actively don’t include disability in your preservation and display of cultural artifacts you are conveying a very specific idea of what your public and your community includes. It’s absolutely a value statement, even if it’s one born of inattention.

The noise canceling headphones, the awkward thumbs up, the fact if you look at my left thumb you can tell I’m forcing it to not bend back bc I have a hitchhiker thumb, the giant bug, the fact I begged my friend to take a picture of me in front of the giant bug in a children’s museum, the fact if you could see my tote bag it’s got a fish pattern all over it literally just my magnum opus. thinking about model au towa (and body guard madarame)

sometimes like I think for his job he’d barely keep his health together otherwise people won’t want him

he is really skilled at pre-emptively covering any and all scars/blemishing with makeup —> but once Madarame enters the scene he forces him to do it for him as a sort of push and pull

towa has a set of fake eyes to put in depending on his shooting, prefers none

the only shoots he really enjoys are the ones where he gets to choose who he models for — they “model” towa as they see fitting which gets up to canon euphoria levels of intense

likes pornographic shoots the least, thinks they’re the most boring out of all of them.

begrudgingly maintains his health. like forces himself to eat meals and the only one he tolerates is Rei’s cooking. he tearfully purges the alcohol in his apartment, though he would at least retain cigarettes. thinking about a scenario where he’d be on an alcohol ban to improve his health for an upcoming shoot and madarame would be an ass and drink in front of him.

during bans towa gets really curt and easily bristled, taku would be his agent placating him and madarame would immediately resort to using pleasure as a way to shut him up.

a lot of chances that force madarame and towa into less violent sexual encounters bc they can’t royal screw up towa’s body before a gig/shoot.

madatowa’s down time together is madarame lounging reading books and towa sprawled in his arms reading model or art magazines. in a good mood they also explore new coffee shops and bars. sometimes they’ll force each other to go to literary or art meet ups, sometimes browse through museums.

id like to think rei and taku interact with madarame the way disgruntled disapproving parents who won’t intervene tolerate a clearly bad influence boyfriend that they can find no proof of being bad. taku and him would have very terse loaded tension convos, while madarame would either ignore rei or say things that get him arguing. but they’d still tolerate each other fine and maybe at some point get along… in the distant future.

madarame would also kinda be more relaxed / complacent since he’s put into a limiting position—outside of work hours, towa can rarely ever track him down and it’s always unknown what he’s up to. towa is playful in how he bosses madarame around as his bodyguard/ aide, trying to constantly test madarame’s limit.

Remembering that two long-running arcs of the Origami Yoda series regarding Dwight were his classmates becoming real friends with him as they stop seeing him as the ‘weird kid’ and connecting with him as a person, and Dwight starting and continuing to date Caroline, the girl he likes. These arcs present to the (presumably neurotypical) audience, an autistic-coded character as someone nuanced and human, who is capable and desirable as a partner and friend, encouraging the idea of looking past dismissive judgements of strangeness and to try to understand people, and even if you can’t, accept them and appreciate them for who they are.

Visited the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale today. It’s a small museum, but I highly recommend visiting.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
