Alison Miller DID NOT have her license revoked

Stop fucking spreading this blatant lie around.

This lie was started by The Satanic Temple, an organization linked with Grey Faction, who routinely denies the existence of DID and inserts themselves into the 80s SRA allegations despite them not even existing at the time (not yet as a recognized institution). Alison Miller had already retired prior to this despite their claims (2). There was no license to be revoked because it no longer existed.

How many times does it need to be stated that The Satanic Temple and Grey Faction are malicious groups that routinely target trauma therapists, survivors and individuals with DID.

For fuck's sake stop using them as sources. Stop citing them. Stop talking about them in a positive light at all. These are terrible people who have said and done terrible (and, frankly, stupid) things and who are clearly not afraid of lying if it fits their narrative.

Description

Christ and St Mary Magdalene at the Tomb reveals how imaginatively Rembrandt could interpret traditional religious subject-matter. The scriptural source for this scene is the Gospel of St John (20:11-18), who describes in some detail the burial and subsequent resurrection of Christ following the Crucifixion. Mary Magdalene returns to the tomb early the next morning, only to find the stone at the entrance removed and two angels inside it where the body should have been. She then fetches two of the disciples, who check that the tomb is empty and then leave her. The angels then ask Mary Magdalene, ‘Woman, why weepest thou?’ and she replies, ‘Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.’ At that moment she turns round and sees a man dressed as a gardener, not appreciating that he is the resurrected Christ. She appeals to him for information, but he calls her by her name and she instantly recognises him. (‘Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say master.’) Rembrandt has depicted the moment of realisation just before the actual recognition. Most artists chose to paint the next moment in the text, when Mary Magdalene reaches out towards Jesus and he forestalls her with the words ‘Touch me not’ (in Latin, Noli me tangere).

Rembrandt skilfully evokes the dawn as the opalescent light picks out from the darkness the towers of the Temple of Jerusalem, the upper half of the figure of Christ, the face of Mary Magdalene, and the outline of one of the angels in the tomb. This use of light is almost symbolic in both the physical and the spiritual senses. The paint is in general thinly applied and, apart from the treatment of the light and the vegetation around the tomb referring to Christ’s activities as a gardener, could almost be described as monochrome. It is only after a time that the eye focuses on the two female figures (the Gospels of St Mark and St Luke refer to three Maries at the tomb) in the middle distance on the left descending the hill.

Of particular note is the positioning of Christ, who in the relationship established between his partially silhouetted vertical form and the Temple of Jerusalem behind and the rocky cave next to him dominates the composition, whereas the twisting pose of Mary Magdalene is the pivot. The tension created between Christ’s standing figure and the twisting kneeling Mary Magdalene is palpable. The artist’s only other treatment of the subject of Christ and Mary Magdalene is in Brunswick (Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum): it is dated 1651 and is totally different in composition.

Your body is a temple

This is something that I struggle with BIG TIME. At times, I find myself taking care of body by exercising, eating well, and respecting my body (i.e. not engaging in sexual sin). But my problem is that I'm not consistent. One week I'm doing good , and then the next I'm eating a whole box of pizza with a 2 liter coke, being lazy, not showering, and or disrespecting my body. I forget that in moments of weakness that this body, that was gifted to me, needs to be maintained and fed high quality things, not only for my physical health but for my spiritual health as well. I forget that the things that I consume (media, music, etc.) should be life giving and not life draining. Though this body craves sexual gratification, it needs to be in the parameter that pleases God. Though this body craves sweets and relaxation, too much of either could be detrimental to my health and my productivity. Though God gives us free will to do what we please, He reminds us that not everything that's available to us is good. Our bodies are a gift that God has given us, and we should steward them well. Just because our body craves something does not mean we have to give in and consume the craving. Submit yourself, and your body to God; let the Spirit lead you and you'll find that honoring God with your body becomes a lot easier.

I think there’s something ironic about how one of the things Kristen was told about Helio and why she should come back is the idea that the bad things that have happened to her wouldn’t have happened if she’d stayed Helio’s chosen one.

But like the very first time she died she was still with Helio. Through most of season one despite her questioning her faith she was with Helio. Some of the worst moments of her life happened in the name of Helio. Her parents essentially kicked her out and kind of disowned her in the name of Helio. Her own coach tried to kill her in the name of Helio. While she was still with Helio. If being with Helio would’ve stopped her from dying the second time then why didn’t it stop her the first time.

And like the most recent episode only proves that point because Buddy was supposed to be Kristen’s replacement, the new stand in chosen one for the salvation they longer have (because they chased her away. Because she wasn’t what they wanted her to be). And he still died. He was betrayed horribly and Helio didn’t help him at all, as far as we saw. There was no warning, no divine intervention on Helio’s part. And no matter how much the church or his grandpa wants to pretend he is he is no chosen one to be cherished and kept alive at all costs unless for the greater good. And unlike Kristen he can’t simply bring himself back from the dead.

If Helio was really all that great maybe he shouldn’t have let his two favorites die so horribly huh.
