Bruce definitely made all the Batkids sit down at some point and forced them all to watch The Gray Ghost. He paused every few minutes to make sure everyone understood the plot and to give trivia facts. He didn't confiscate phones but if he saw you on it he'd just look at you REALLY sad for a while and all the others would glare at you.

Every time Bruce is sad they let him do this again btw. It makes him very happy. He is autistic.

YALL. I FEEL LIKE THE GRAY GHOST ISNT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH.

In the 1992 animated Batman series S1EP18 Bruce reveals his identity to Simon Trent, the actor for the gray ghost, saying the same line to him in and out of costume word for word “…as a kid I used to watch you with my father, the Gray Ghost was my hero.”

It’s also shown in this episode that in this version he based the batcave on The Gray Ghosts hideout, and even has a shrine for it in there lol (This appears for us when he takes Simon Trent INTO THE BATCAVE)

And in that episode the films for the gray ghost series got released, and copies were probably made and sold and I feel like Bruce most definitely purchased them all

And since he definitely purchased them all, he also definitely showed it to Dick, then Jason, then Tim, and likely Damian and the other batkids yk?

Anyways I’ve only ever seen it mentioned ONCE in a fanfic and never here, and I feel thats an issue so like yeah pls give me more gray ghost content ITS SO IMPORTANT

That would be a nice distraction from todays events.....

So my favorite show growing up was a show called The Gray Ghost. I watched it religiously. i always knew when to be in front of the tv to see it. If I remember right, it was on at 8pm.

Ths actor who played The Gray Ghost is Simon Trent, and hes a huge inspiration. I got to meet him recently, I even got his autograph!!!!! \(^-^)/

his show is getting a reboot soon, i think. Hes going to star in it as the same hero, but he's older so there are a lot of theories about what will happen!!!!

I thinkthat because the episode One on One had references to being a father, and he's traveled through time before and met his own decendants, its going to focus more on a new Gray Ghost. I just hope that whatevwr they do, its out of love for the source material.

i've talked about Pitch being on the titanic to scare its passengers, now hear my chatter about him being on the Queen Mary (The Gray Ghost)

The Queen Mary became The Gray Ghost for war, there's actually several Gray Ghosts in the world, however we're talking about Mary here.

The reason why The Queen Mary got the name of The Gray Ghost was because of her secrecy in sailing, she went around the world several times being undetected, it's almost alike traveling in the shadows.

Pitch frequents ships, and we know how many times we see shadows in the corner of our eyes, imagine how downright terrifying to see that on a ship, when isolated with a set amount of people on board.

He likes going "boo!" And freaking them tf out, it's an added bonus in the fact that they're constantly scared that somethings gonna fail and they're gonna sink or crash.

The name fits so why not wear it?

I must admit really like outfit of the “Gray Ghosts” from the episode “Beware the Gray Ghost” from the Batman: The Animated Series more than Batman’s and wished he was an actual DC Hero but on the other hand the character would just be Batman with a different custome

ABSOLUTELY CHARMING, A FIC OF THIS, NO CAPES AU OR NOT

AU where Bruce Wayne is a voice actor.

He always had an interest in acting and would've tried it but his anxiety always stopped him from getting into the game. Even trying out for the school play would get him stammering and unable to read his lines. To this day, he mourns the fact that he never got to play Benvolio.

He had given up on his dream years before he heard that there was going to be a reboot of his favourite childhood cartoon, The Gray Ghost (all of Gotham probably heard the scream he let out when he heard the news)

Sadly some of the original cast had passed away before the reboot so they couldn't reprise their roles, and this includes the original Gray Ghost. So you have Bruce hoping like any other fan that they get a good replacement. He talks about it so much that Alfred jokingly says "well Master Bruce if you're so worried about it, you should audition"

And Bruce laughs but he can't stop thinking about it. He twists and turns in bed because the idea of playing The Gray Ghost, of being to kids what the original voice actor was to him as a child, he can't say it's not appealing. He dwells on it for the next few days and while he doesn't know if his inability to perform will extend to voice acting, he wants to try.

On his way down to auditions, he is sweating. He has to have Alfred drop him cause his hands won't stop shaking. Seeing all the people in the waiting room almost makes him turn back around but Alfred talks him back into it.

(I'd like to think that everyone else there either didn't recognise him because he barely leaves the manor or they recognised him and realised that this man is chock full of anxiety so it's better to not bother him)

So he gets into the booth and once he's started reading his lines, he really gets into it. It's so much easier for him to get into character when there aren't dozens of eyes on him. He finishes, thanks them for the opportunity, goes back to the manor, grabs his stuffies and screams into his pillow.

It's weeks later when he gets a call saying that they want him as the new Gray Ghost. He absolutely does not cry into his biggest teddy bear, what are you talking about? He does hug the crap out of Alfred though. They have cookies to celebrate.

Before you know it, everyone is in love with the new voice of The Gray Ghost. Both new and old fans agree that Bruce was a great choice. I can see Bruce using a pseudonym though. Bruce Wayne is a name that has a lot of weight behind it, weight that he doesn't want to feel when he's voice acting. So he asks them to credit him as Bruce Pennyworth or smth. Alfred is sobbing.

He requests to record his lines at home because he isn't always up for leaving the manor and he doesn't want to slow down production. He'd totally have a professional ass set up cause when he's interested in something, he goes in.

Bruce Pennyworth gets offered more voice acting roles whether it's for cartoons, movies, anime dubs or ads. Harvey and Clark both wondering why the voice over in an ad for toothpaste is about to make them act up. Every single one of the batkids went through the "OH MY GOD, YOU'RE BRUCE PENNYWORTH?!?" phase.
