It happened one day, out of the blue, when Haku asked you if he could court you. 

When you agreed, Haku began.

It started with texts. You two would converse whenever you had free time.

The texts ranged from ordinary school life to the flirting that Haku did occasionally. 

Next, Haku would give you little gifts. Flowers, little keychains that reminded him of you, plushies, and many more gifts.

And finally, he planned out many dates.

When you told him that you’d go through with the courting, he didn’t really react besides a “good choice” and a smile, but inside he was ecstatic.

Romeo was not that great at flirting at first, often times more of a backhanded compliment than a real compliment. Though after some conversations with Rui, reluctantly, he managed to get the hang of it.

The gifts Romeo brought you were oftentimes things he uses and owns. 

Similar clothes, the same perfume he wears, and even similar sunglasses. He also gets you lots of flowers.

Even with his busy schedule, he managed to plan dates. 

Fancy restaurant dates were the most common, although if you expressed interest, you could convince him to go to an aquarium, amusement park, or site seeing different spots in Japan. 

Romeo is very possessive and proud. The gifts he gives you are his way of “marking you.” 

He'd only be affectionate in public if it was a way to brag about you, and the fact that you’re the one dating the great Fico. 

He would actively keep you away from Taiga and Rui, especially Taiga. 

He’s always eager to meet up with you whenever his work ends.

Sho doesn’t really know how to court properly, but that still doesn’t stop him.

After much consideration, he asks you if could court you. 

He already texted you a lot, but he ups the romance a bit. He tries to flirt with you, but it ends up failing, at least you got a smile out of it. After lots of research he starts getting the hang of it.

Sho learns your preferences to pick out perfect gifts for you. 

He gives you your favorite flowers, clothes he knows you'd like, and jewelry that you love.

Though he does buy you small things like coffee and food.

Dates with Sho are often held at your dorm with a home cooked meal made by him. He does take you on amusement park dates, arcade dates, and even cooking dates.

Sho does enjoy physical touch, and often holds your hand. Kisses and hugs are saved for private. He loves cuddling with you.

He actively keeps you away from Leo, but he doesn’t mind you being around Alan. 

You’re his encouragement, and he looks forward to whenever he gets to see you.

Subaru is a mess when it comes to courting you. When you approve of him courting, he nervously starts.

Subaru’s texts are polite and romantic. He doesn’t know how to flirt, so he often asks for advice from Haku and Zenji. 

Subaru uses his stigma to learn your preferences, which helps him not overthink presents for you. He also gets help from Haku about gifts for you.

Lots of flowers, jewelry, and little trinkets are given to you by him. He gives you a pretty decorated good luck charm that he made.

Subaru’s dates are pretty chill. He takes you to watch Kabuki, you two have little tea dates, and you take little walks through scenic places. 

Subaru doesn’t like physical touch due to his stigma, but if you do, he’ll deal with it. He does like hugging you, he just wishes his stigma doesn’t activate.

Wondasho physical affection / gestures headcannons because why not:

• Tsukasa gives forehead kisses (it ends up being to Emu most often – she also loves it the most. Nene pulls away more often than not and Tsks doesn't reach up to Rui's forehead normally so he only gives them to him when they're at eye level or feels the need strongly enough to pull his face down for it)

• while we're at it Rui likes kissing hair. Taking a few strands in his fingers and leaving a gentle chu on them

tsukasa shows his affection through acts of service. he shows it in kind gestures from setting up alarms at midnight (because his ass is definetly in bed by 10pm sharp) to message nene and remind her to go to bed, looking over emu and buying her sweets she mentioned liking in the passing one singular time (he might have fucked up memory but he always makes sure to remember what his loved ones like, another headcanon is that he writes it all in a journal so he doesn't forget) to sneaking veggies in rui's lunches and bringing an extra water bottle because of course that purple cat was too deep into inventing to remember to drink...to sum it up tsukasa loves to scold rui and emu and banter with nene but every single action he does is full of love and care. he shows love when one of them merely coughs and suddenly practice is canceled, theyre all at his house, wrapped in soft blankets as he brews them tea with honey. tsukasa is a tsundere in a way because he will scold emu for visiting kamikou when she is not allowed to but hide her so she can stay and have lunch with the rest of wxs regardless. he will curse rui for giving him trouble and causing mischief (because he *is* on the disciplinary comittee after all) but will still let him go unpunished and smile fondly knowing rui is having fun in a school enviroment.

nene shows her affection way more quietly. she teases tsukasa and calls him an idiot but makes sure to stay after practice to praise him for good work as she hands him a drink. she might tease him but her love is so obvious in the way she cuddles into his side late at night during a sleepover, console in her hands as he works on a new script. they dont have to exchange any words in between them to know how much they love each other (besides, tsukasa tells her he loves her so openly and the bright pink flush on her cheeks is enough indicator she feels the same.) with rui it's a similar scenario. theyve known each other so long that theyve become a constant in each others lives, so much so that nene can be fully comfortable in rui's pressence at any given moment. i think nene is very embarassed to show affection through stuff like kisses and hugs but when she does the other three make sure to give the same energy back (and more! just where do they get so much energy...) emu is probably the one nene feels the least embarassed about showing physical affection to, maybe because of how often emu is initiating it but nene doesnt mind. how could she when emu's hands always felt so warm in her own?

rui is full of love that he shows through rather unusual but genuine ways. he sends wxs gc a picture of four bugs with a caption "us <3" and a bunch of other shit that gets him an earful from nene and tsukasa and a ton of praise from emu. rui shows his love through making inventions that will help his troupemates, using all of his knowledge to be useful to the ones he loves dearly. it's worth losing sleep over if it means seeing emu's eyes sparkle with excitement as she presses all the colourful buttons he added *just for her*...ah but tsukasa will scold him right? well, he supposes he doesn't mind being scolded a little...he knows very well its coming from the place of good intention. rui shows his love through sticking up for his loved ones when they're facing an obstacle and turning from a sneaky cat to a testy and defensive dog.

Tsukasa is generally a touchy guy, but only with people close to him; The closer they are to him the more likely he'll engage in physical affection. The level of it would also be different, like with school friends he would give the occasional shoulder bumps, close friends like wansho gets cuddle privileges and small—almost casual—kisses all the time, Toya gets some headpats and hugs whenever they meet, with Saki and Shizuku he's just straight up glued to them when they spend time together their hands would not let go

Tsukasa touches instinctively, there's no real way for him to stop it. If he feels someone is important to him they're going to get hugged or any other type of physical affection, it's just ingrained into his brain at this point. I just feel like touch is a persistent thing in Tsukasa's life and it stems from his childhood, the Tenmas are very affectionate!

He's very give and not take about it, so he doesn't mind not receiving any physical affection in return but he won't refuse it either

If put into words Tsukasa's touch means reassurance, both for himself and for others; It's him unconsciously saying "I'm here, and you're here. We're together!" I think it fits with his entire character of wanting to be a guiding light and a source of smiles for others <3

Touch is Emu's entire love language, it's how she shows people she loves them! Emu has a lot of love to give so this directly affects her way of showing physical touch; it's persistent, it's all encompassing, it's intense. She tackles people to the ground and gives bone crushing hugs as she should!! Also when she catches a person she just doesn't let go she's super clingy, she'll be having lunch with Honami and she's squeezing her arm the entire time

Because of that, though, Emu is very very aware of her touches. I think her family would point it out all the time with how intense she is (especially Shousuke). Her touch is a loud yell of "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW IT!" but not everyone can withstand the intensity of it so she tries to hold back and not let herself get too excited. She doesn't want to accidentally hurt her friends and family, after all

She's very much a give and receive kind of person, but she very rarely directly asks for physical affection even if she really wants it. What she does is doubling her effort in giving others physical affection in the hopes of receiving some in return (This always works with Tsukasa and Hinata btw so she usually targets them when she feels especially touchy)

Nene is touch avoidant because the feeling of people touching her makes her uncomfortable, especially towards accidental touch from people she doesn't know. Basically things she can't anticipate and brace for would be the worse ones, while touches from friends are less so.

Because of how affectionate Emu and Tsukasa are she feels really bad about this, she wishes touch doesn't make her feel bad but the two honestly doesn't mind. They try to find other ways to show her affection, they just want her to be happy and comfortable around them :)

I think somewhere along the line she—with the help of wansho—figures out that she's mostly okay with touch if she's the one to initiate it or if it's something small with people she trusts (pinkie holding is my favourite example). Later on she realises that if she can anticipate the touch she's more comfortable with it; something rehearsed and specific that's communicated beforehand. They use this technique for theatre!

She's a give only and rarely receives kind of person because of the whole 'she's fine with initiating physical affection' thing. Her touch means "I care about you so I'm putting in effort to get out of my comfort zone for you" and it's a very sweet sentiment, please be gentle with her

Rui is the very definition of touch starved and desperate, but also he can't handle the slightest bit of skin touching him without blacking out for a few seconds he's so pathetic about it. So Rui has this conflicting want for affection but being unable to handle it and then paired with a very clingy Emu and instinctively touchy Tsukasa, it's a great combination I hope he combusts into flames. Emu also realises this and weaponises it against him.

This doesn't apply to theatre by the way, he focuses too hard on creating a good show that he doesn't realise it when he's literally caressing Tsukasa's arms while trying to get him to the right position. It's like having tunnel vision, basically

Mafuyu tries her best to be SUPER friendly to Nene in order to try and make her feel more comfortable but Nene is not having it yk

It takes some help from Emu but Nene eventually warms up to Mafuyu (probably after seeing her true self) who is happy she's finally able to talk to her without her running away

After they become friends Mafuyu pines hopelessly after Nene and she doesn't realize it for the longest time. The rest of niigo have to deal with Mafuyu's bullshit because she never shuts up about how Nene recommended her a new game or a play to watch or about how she got mafuyu this teddy bear-

(they're all happy for her even if Ena complains about how often she talks about Nene)

Mizuki is the one who brings up the idea of Mafuyu liking Nene and Mafuyu bluescreens for a second before falling into a small crisis (niigo help her out dw)

After Mafuyu comes to terms with her feelings she starts the arduous task of asking Nene out on a date which requires getting through one slightly protective star (tsukasa just tells Mafuyu to treat her right and doesn't give her a hard time after that)

Nene confesses first. she blurts it out randomly in one of their outings when shes about to head home and does that thing where she runs off and doesn't wait for an answer.

Mafuyu and Nene both have crises that night

Anyway to wrap this part up they talk they kiss yada yada yuri

Okay now onto the actual relationship

I mentioned it before but Nene does crane games and wins Mafuyu lots of prizes. This is theoretically post Goodbye My Persona so she takes it to kanade's house and displays them in her.. room (does she have a room? Idek)

They're not big on pda I think, Nene finds it embarrassing and Mafuyu is neutral to it, but they hold hands in a lot because its comforting to mafuyu

I hc Mafuyu to have sensory issues that she never actually knew about or acknowledge so whenever she experiences sensory overload she shuts down and she doesn't know why. Nene introduces her to the term and gets her some noise cancelling headphones (that match with hers :3)

Neither of them are good at initiating affection all the time even if they want to, but they eventually find subtle signs that the other wants a hug or a kiss or smth like that

On the subject of kissing. I don't think they kiss toooo much (they're both too embarrassed to ask) and when they do they pull away and they're all shy and flustered and shit

You and Tanjirou had initially met during the Final Selection. Although it was a brief meeting and both of you went your own different ways after that, you had unknowingly left a good impression with your kind nature on him, which only got better when the two of you met again.

Tanjirou met you again after his battle with Rui, at the Butterfly Mansion. The Insect Pillar, Kocho Shinobu had taken you under her wing, and you had been staying at the mansion ever since. The two of you hit it off quickly, and soon you guys were inseparable.

It was on the Mugen Train that Tanjirou saw your talents as a swordsperson. It was kinda scary how you could go from being kind and empathetic to a complete badass when facing demons. Fortunately, Tanjirou’s keen sense of smell told him that you were inherently kind, and his time spent with you showed that you only intended to protect humanity.

Tanjirou was the one who confessed first, and was overjoyed when you reciprocated his affections.

The two of you are a fucking power couple on the field, but at the same time you are that mushy couple who has disgustingly cute nicknames for each other-

Tanjirou knows you can handle yourself, but during battles he can’t help but get a little overprotective. It’s just his mind telling him to save the person he loves, even if it means sacrificing himself. You’ve had a lot of discussions on this.

Giyuu had always considered that he didn’t deserve the title of the Water Hashira. But if there was anyone worthy in his eyes of being a Hashira, it was you. You were only a year younger than him, but had quickly risen in ranks, and you were one of the strongest Hashiras he had met.

Despite what your fellow Hashira had to say about him, you approached Giyuu with the intention to make him your friend. Although the first few attempts were a bit awkward, you were proud to say that you had made a friend in the ever aloof Water Hashira.

Giyuu had always known about and respected your skills as a comrade, seeing as the two of you were often paired for missions; however, seeing your kind and giving nature, and being at the receiving end of it was a completely different and exhilarating feeling. As time went by, he found himself thinking about you even in the most mundane parts of his life.

The both of you ended up confessing to each other at the same time, the entire affair consisting of blushing and averted gazes (Mitsuri may or may not have been fangirling in the background)

On the field during battles, you both are like a well-oiled machine, each knowing the other’s weak points and strengths, and working according to it.

Giyuu tends to get a little overprotective every now and then, but not to the point that it affects his behavior during battle. He knows you can hold your own, but he will dote on you afterwards though, making sure that you are out of danger and alright before tending to his own wounds.

Giyuu doesn’t say it, but he adores when you dote on the Kamado siblings.

4: tsukasa. idk i really dont have much to write for him think he’s doing fine in that aspect. maybe i’ll change my mind but i think he’s doing alright.

3: nene. i don’t think she’s particularly like. touchy anyway. so while she wouldn’t at all be opposed to getting an occasional hug and might even appreciate it she’s doing pretty okay without it. why does rui not hug her more? well i am getting to that. but yeah nene’s doing alr.

lastly it is either emu or rui at number one i think. i cannot decide who would be number one.

for rui it’s related to my reasoning for quality time love language rui but i think he really does like hugging people cause its a nice reassurance that there is someone there with him who loves him and is not leaving him but i think he is also. very very hesitant to just touch people in general. like after That Whole Thing he just has this subconscious fear of touching people and hurting them. so as much as he thinks it’d be nice (read: desperately wants to) he’s always hesitant (and he doesn’t even know why. it’s just something he’s become so scared of and never realized it or thought abt it) and he also doesn’t really think he deserves to be touched either. someone like him doesn’t deserve it. this is especially prominent (that sounds like too fancy of a word ngl but i can’t remember another word) with nene cause. cause again. he is so convinced she should hate him. it is just a constant lingering thought. and he grew up with her so he knows how she feels abt being hugged by people she isn’t comfortable with (like. relatives that talk abt how they knew her as a baby but she barely knows them. yk. that kind of thing) . so he very very rarely does much more than like. holding her hand for a bit. or giving her a pat on the back or whatever.

for emu its like her whole thing with trying to act less childish and more mature. so she stops doing her emu thing of being super affectionate with people all the time cause she looks silly and immature doing it and it is. miserable for her. like i dont have as much to say for emu as you can see but she loves hugging her friends and holding hands and everything and it just really fucking sucks for her. in addition her friends like. notice she doesn’t hug as much. and she’s usually the one that initiates it so they figure she might just not be comfortable with it anymore and since her friends stop initiating hugs even less she in turn takes it as a sign that she’s right and her friends didn’t want to be touched anyway and. endless cycle. yeag. so i cannot decide if its her or rui that deserves number 1 spot. they can share i guess someone give these guys a hug

- Tsukasa is always a little clingy.. wrapping his arm around your waist or your shoulder, holding your hand (it took a while for him to get used to that one without blushing hard..), public or private, anything you're comfortable with, he just can't help it! He needs his co-star to know that he loves them so much!

When he gets tired, he's a lot calmer, which is adorable, but make no mistake, he still wants to be by your side as much as he can! He's a biiigg fan of cuddling, asking you softly if you want to join him in bed, or just hugging you from behind then and there and following you around drowsily.

- Rui's definitely clingy towards who he loves to me, but he'd be a bit embarassed and hesitant at first. He'd melt at your touch if you were the one to initiate anything. He grows more confident as he gets used to affection, and who's Rui without his playful teasing?

When he gets tired, he completely loses his hesitation, silently laying you on his chest or lightly placing himself in yours if you're relaxing together. He can't help but sigh out in content as he kisses the top of your head or the bottom of your chin.
