Alana is a teenage girl living in the peaceful world of the year 3000. When her friend Tulista takes part in a time travel experiment, she returns as a prisoner of Silverthorn, a native of the year 2500. Silverthorn kidnaps Alana and takes her to the year 1990.

*Silverthorn remarks that "help means brainwashing" where he is from. This is proven to be true. In series two, people who are arrested in the year 2500 are put into "The Modification Chamber", and essentially brainwashed.

Agree. The Girl From Tomorrow, ReBoot. and many old shows for my childhood. "Old" video games too.

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

At some point I will screw up my courage and write about Petey's struggle to reconcile the knowledge of what is to come with the reality of living in modern day Australia. I will write it and, as far as I know, only one other person is likely to find and appreciate it.

“why would you write fics for small, unpopular fandoms? you’re not gonna reach that many hits in fandoms not many people know about” ?? because I’m not writing fics for hits or kudos, I’m writing them for me because these characters are my blorbos and I have so many ideas, so much thoughts about them that my brain might explode if I don’t write them out.

Yeah. Not just for TGFT. I write short fics from obscure idle/clicker/drops games nobody seems to care about. Also commissioned art for Five Nights at Roner's + games I even don't like like Concord and Dustborn. :D
