Not a line, but I'll send you my favorite bit of description/worldbuilding ever, that contains within it my favorite line :3

"While elementals killed in battle returned to the Pulse, it took precious time to return. Long years had passed since they could throw bodies at a war indiscriminately, without concern for loss of life. Now whole villages lay deserted, farmsteads went untended, and generational homes decayed under the weight of their own emptiness. While Arkenvale bustled with life, a pulsing heart at the center of the kingdom, it hemorrhaged souls from hundreds of broken limbs. Underpopulation threatened to cut off supply chains just as surely as any army could, and the monsters would surely be overrun by the tide of humanity should the elemental kingdom be forced into dormancy by its own lust for valor. The war cry 'may you remember your glory in the next life' was a brutal double-edged sword, and it refused to stop swinging."

I adored?? How this bit turned out?? And the line at the end was such a good wrap-up of where the state of the world at war was in the current events of the story. And it also set up a lot for the recklessness of one of the characters, how he was going to just throw himself ceaselessly at peril, because "I'll just come back eventually. It's not that big of a deal." Until later he would come to fear death not because of his own mortality, but because the people he loves might not be there when he comes back.

Well, he would've anyway, if I'd kept writing the damn thing XD

Hey... not sure I would immerse myself in the Tumblr realms long enough to shop for avatars or snipe bots or anythink, but I am really impressed by your imaginative prose. Reading through Crimson Serpent, the world building is vivid and the characters and situations identifiable. I find myself actually wanting to help edit.

Oh heck I haven't worked on TCS in ages! This made me reread it. I really think it's some of my best written work. I was trying really hard to expand on descriptions and worldbuilding. It's a very nice little petri dish to revisit :3
