Well, the playland event is over and I am both happy and sad that we didn't get to see a TWST version of the Coachman. On one hand, I wanted to see him sexy-fied. On the other hand, I don't think TWST would be able to do his evil justice. (Plus if HE of all characters got away with just a slap on the wrist, I would legit riot.)
I drew him in a fairly simple outfit as I imagine he tries to disguise himself as the every man. He's the guy that's everyone's friend, the average joe everyone knows and can trust--until he reveals his true nature which is basically the devil.

I honestly thought that Disney Knowledge Yuu would be “okay, it’s just a tale here, a very REAL one but, it can’t be that bad. Leona is here, Trey too and even Vil! They are really responsible and will make us go back at a reasonable time! Plus, they are really powerful! There is nothing to worry about!”
*Sees the sea-donkeys*
“Nevermind, I want OFF. WHERE IS THE EXIT?!”
Also, do you think there is a figure like the coachman? The guy that employed Guidel and John to lure children into pleasure island? Maybe he’s the guy that transforms the people into donkeys
Yep, that's about right XD
And while that would be cool, I doubt we're getting anyone else new, since the tradition has always been one new guest per event, with Fellow and Giddel slightly breaking it by being considered a unit.
Fun fact though, I actually made my OWN TWST Coachman OC a while back for a roleplaying server :3
His name is Carlo Omino (a combination of the author of Pinocchio, Carlo Collodi, and the Coachman's original Italian name, Omino di Burro). He runs a similar trafficking ring, except it hides in plain sight in a regular theme park in Port O'Bliss, and it involves animal transformation (any kind of animal, not just donkey) AND the capturing and selling of rare magical creatures and species. The animal transformations are mostly via potion created by sisters TWST Yzma and Kronk (named Eartha (after her VA) and Risu (Japanese for squirrel))
Carlo's also Rollo's abusive father in this universe but that's not important-

Disney Descendants : Fern Coachman
The Adult VK Daughter Of The Coachman From Pinocchio 1940 and Childhood BFF Of Alice From Alice in Wonderland 1951 before Auradon was Founded . Later Gains 2 younger siblings who were born on the isle of the lost named , Warren and Gardena who were tragically murdered by their father .
Fern, Daughter of The Coachman Description - Hates her dad. Works for Hades. BFFs with Alice. Crush on Panic. Awkward when dealing with people who know her dad. Just wants to feel okay. Good with tools and working with her hands. Super curious and loves to read.
Fern's backstory -Fern grew up with the Coachman. To this day she has no idea what the situation was with her mother and she saw him go from a loser to a nightmare and that scares her really bad. She’s not sure he’s still human . For a long time he made her help him lure people in - children trust other children - and kept her away from them once they got to pleasure island. She finally couldn't stand it anymore and ran away. She survived on her own for a while and promised whoever was listening she'd serve them forever if they'd help her. Luckily for her, Hades was listening.

What are your thoughts on the Coachman from Pinocchio? I think he's a lot like Frollo, as in he's also a Disney villain who doesn't have any comedic scenes, making him feel more serious as a character (although he's still clearly more cartoony than Frollo).
There's never been a character in history that's occupied my mind less. But, he is one of the few -if not only- successful Disney villains. He got away with his crimes. In a world where an all-powerful fairy exists, guess none of those donkeyfied children or their heartbroken parents wished hard enough to get their happy ending. Too bad, so sad. Luckily a wooden toy that had no business being alive in the first place was well taken care of.

Let's see:
Tricks you into becoming a slave of your primitive urges and then collects you and condemns you to a life of slavery? CHECK.
Takes extra pleasure in stripping you naked of your clothes and thus making it impossible to return to your mama? CHECK.
Deceptively sweet-looking? CHECK.
Ruins a fruitful business well-hidden and from which the mere mention makes any other villain tremble and sweat? CHECK.
Is a clever metaphor for how easy men can fall prey to their urges? CHECK.
NEVER GOT CAUGHT? CHECK!
HANDS DOWN, THE BEST DISNEY VILAIN EVER! All the other can leave the competition!

Twst spoilers for Stage Playland
I think it’s so funny and a testament to the coachman’s character that more than 75 percent of the fandom is praying he doesn’t show up in twst for the simple fact they’re scared of him. And we’re all 16 and up here. Keep in mind, this guy only has less than ten minutes of scene time in Pinocchio and hardly ever shows up outside of the film. Even those who never saw the guy fear him by reputation or are like, “I don’t wanna meet him.” Hell, the moment it was mentioned the next TWST event everyone was “Yay!” And “Oh no!” I swear, if a TWST version of the coachman actually shows up, more than half the fanbase is going to go into cardiac arrest. (Okay, a bit dramatic, but still.) Again, I think it’s funny how we’re all so traumatized by a villain from the 1940s that the mere thought he may show up has us all going, “Oh fuck.”

"Coachman?" "Yes, my sweet?" "If we are betrayed, if Bernard attempts to notify anyone of our presence in the city, I will find a way out. I will come for him first. And when I have finished with him, I will find you. There is nowhere in the world you can run. Every day, for the rest of your life, you will have to look over your shoulder. When you least expect it, I will be there. I will stick my drill so far inside you that you will taste it. And then I will turn it on and scramble everything that makes you who you are." "I wouldn't expect anything less," the Coachman said. He pressed his hand against her screen. "If that happens, I will wait for you with open arms." "Seriously," Rambo said. "This is really gross."

If it is nightmare before Christmas, I wonder who is the guest character. Usually it's the twisted version of villains like with Rollo and Fellow and Gidel aren't twisted of main villains (Honest John and his companion are more minor) but still counts as villains. Given the movie, Jack is consider to be a bit villainous so likely chance there's a twisted version of him despite being the main character. There's also the fact of Oogie Boogie having a twisted version character which makes me of a possible SSR of someone who is afraid of bugs...you know who?

I think the guest character will at least be someone “iconic” and not necessarily the “biggest bad”. We all know how much Disney LOVES its famous iconography and keeps recycling it in their properties. This in part explains why Honest John and Gideon got twisted instead of the coachman; when you think of Pinocchio, you more readily think of the fox and cat rather than the shadowy figure that is their boss. That makes Tumblr sexyman Jack Skellington as likely as a candidate for bishounen-ing as Oogie Boogie is. I personally love both, so no preference as to who gets to be yassified by Yana 😂 Watch it be twisted Sandy Claws, the mayor, Dr. Finkelstein, or the shitty brat trio instead—
If I had to pick which character I like better, I think I’d probably go with Jack?? It’s the dapper suit— He’s just so effortlessly charismatic and cheery. However, I can’t deny the sick joy that I would feel in seeing a twisted Oogie and all of his creepy crawly innards interacting with our local bug hater Jamil 😈 So yeah, I really want a Jamil SSR for this year.
Leona is pretty much also slated for one since he’s the only dorm leader without a Halloween SSR so far meaning we’ll actually get to hear this bitch sing after he teased us about it in Endless Halloween Night BUT HEY, THIS POST AIN’T ABOUT HIM…
I’m so glad that Nightmare Before Christmas is FINALLY becoming a Halloween event… It’s like, perfect for the holiday. I was upset back when Endless Halloween Night happened and we were denied twisted!Jack or Oogie, and now TWST is making up for that missed opportunity all these years later/j

Slight twst spoilers below;
He’s probably not going to make an appearance in the Halloween Event, but a part of me wants to see TWST’s Coachman. The Coachman is one of the top 5 best Disney villains. He’s not popular or has a cool song but The Coachman is one of TWO Disney Villains who is never defeated by the hero. He does terrible things, gets everything he wants, and still continues to do so. Yeah, The Coachman is STILL out there turning young boys into donkeys and selling them as slaves. Think about that; Ursula, Maleficent, Jafar, Hades, and all the other top tens were defeated. As bad as they were, they were stopped. The coachman wasn’t. He WON. And again, is the only one of two Disney Villains who were never defeated, the other being the Firebird and even then the latter’s damage was undone. Then again, this is why another part of me doesn’t want to see the TWST version of him as I like the Coachman as a baddie, the baddest of the bad. The very premise of TWST is taking the baddies and turning them into anti-heroes, or at least not as bad. There are only two straight-up villains so far; The Phantoms in Chapter 6 and Henrik from Chapter 7. I dunno, does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
