Just thinking about Dick freaking out over losing his title of best uncle to Jason.

Dick showing up to take Lian out and give Roy a break only to hear she's having a fun day with Jason

Dick walking into the room with the toy he knows Lian really wanted, only to find out Jason got it for her first.

Dick showing up to game night at Roy's only to find Jason already there.

Just Dick getting increasingly frustrated and his rival Jason having no clue well the the rest watch on in humor and exasperation. Roy finds the who thing hilarious.

Picturing it all coming to a head when Dick is babysitting Lian and she shows him a new photo they put up. Dick all dejectivly being like, "look, it's you and your favorite uncle."

The pure shock and joy he feels when Lian tells him he wrong and her favorite uncle is "you uncle Dickie, duh!"

The door opening and Lian shouting "Papa!" As dick turns to excitedly tell Roy what Lian said only to see it's Jason who's holding Lian.

they were back in time, all three of them - lan wangji, lan qiren and wei wuxian. it was as smoothly as it could be, waking up as if from a very realistic dream instead of something dramatic as wei wuxian suggested such as fainting in the middle of doing chores.

they had discussed what they had to do and the rules they meant to follow so it wouldn't change too much of the past-now-present again.

"try to act as much as you were when this age." lan qiren said.

it was the middle of the gusu classes and lan qiren was getting ready to travel to qinghe for the conference, while the two young ones were planning for the waterborne abbys.

"wangji, you can start showing some signals that you are interested in wei wuxian. this way we can initiate a marriage contract with the jiangs without having to fight for his freedom." lan qiren continued.

"mn." lan wangji nodded politely, while wei wuxian smiled brightly with a slightly pink face.

days later, while wei wuxian was being his annoying self following his future husband around where others could see and hear them, lan wangji snapped and pulled wei wuxian for a fierce, deep, knee weakling, kiss that made everyone around gasp out loud.

"LAN WANGJI!" lan qiren yelled with a face as red as his future nephew-in-law's favorite foods and almost spitting blood "THIS IS NOT WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT!"

a lot of people are annoyed by jack, especially in rdr1— and to a degree i understand that. but at the same time, he was a kid. he had every right to be a little shit and irritate people to no end doing reckless, spiteful things, because he was a child. and it breaks my heart that he loses that sometime between john’s death and when we see him again during the epilogue.

i miss when he was able to snark at his parents. i miss seeing him interact with abigail, uncle, and charles around beecher’s hope. i miss when jack could just be a kid without having the crushing weight of grief on his shoulders at all times. we get to see him start out distant with john and very slowly get closer to him multiple times, healing their relationship after everything they’ve been through, only for that to be brutally ripped away when he’s sixteen.

when we meet jack again at nineteen, he’s much more jaded. he’s angry, and aggressive, and he’s lost everything. he’s almost unrecognizable as that little boy that made a flower necklace for his momma, or read passages from his books aloud when she asked, or sat by the campfire loudly singing along with his family— and it hurts, watching him lose that innocence and the ability to just be a kid along the way. he was so young, and he didn’t deserve any of that.

I need like a fic where Jake and Bradley are exes and when Bradley broke up with him Jake threatened to marry his dad and become his stepdad so Bradley will never get fully rid of him (they’re like twenty ish and in the academy (Jake has no idea about Bradley’s family at all)). And I’m not talking maverick. I’m talking fully alive goose who is estranged from his son (he survived the crash and took a desk job and is now and admiral)

Maybe Jake and goose meet in a bar while both are off duty. Jake is drunk and missing how a mustache feels when someone goes down on him. So he sees this hot older dude and somehow they fuck (in a hotel). Then they keep fucking whenever they’re near each other.

Eventually, Nick invites jake to his home after a date and then after they start dating. Eventually Jake finds out he’s an admiral, and meets his top gun buddies. It comes out eventually that Nick has a son he’s estranged from. Jake never puts together that Nick and Bradley have the same last name. A while later Jake and Nick get married for reasons.

Cue the mission. Now Bradley is on good terms with Ice and Mav but not his dad. Nick is around to help oversee the mission. The actual mission happens and Mav and Bradley are shot down. During that time, mav convinces Bradley to try and mend his relationship with his dad.

Bradley follows through on that promise. So ice and mav take him over to Goose’s new house. In the driveway they warn Bradley that his dad started seeing someone and married them during Bradley’s absence in goose’s life.

So the whole talking things out is going great and Nick and Bradley have agreed to try to have a father-son relationship again. When Bradley asks about his dad’s new partner (the boy is blind and has yet to notice the pictures all over the house) and that’s when he hears it

“Goosey! I’m home!”

Jake comes in and Nick is like ‘this is my son Bradley. Bradley, this is my husband Jake’

And Bradley has that flashback to their break up. Jake has the most evil smile on his face (he loves Nick but the coincidence is just too good) when he says ‘Told ya I’d be your step-dad one day’

Then Jake and Bradley have to explain they used to date and Nick has a whole crisis over fucking (and then marrying) the same man his son used to.
