you know when you experienced something so traumatizing or grieved too hard your brain sort of temporarily locked that memory to protect you from the pain? i think that's what's been happening to me after deadpool 2 bc tell me why every time i rewatch that movie, i always forget how painful these scenes are?

they always leave me sobbing and totally wrecked but with each rewatch i'd just... forget they would eventually happen and i'd eventually get hurt??

I just realized I have never seen dru with dawn in literally anything, so! here's some very quick thoughts about them:

dawn thinks drusilla is a FREAK at first. they do not get along bc dru is so so taken with little dawnie and little dawnie herself is petrified every time this psycho vampiress who speaks in incomprehensible metaphors drifts into the room and laser focuses onto her

dru likes to always have a hand on dawn. little pats and playing with her hair and whatever she can get away really with without being pushed away. she's like a cat, constantly rubbing up against the girl like she's marking her territory with love. dawn's their little girl! ...even if the only one who knows it yet is dru herself

dru cannot get enough of just being around dawn. her key-ness is mesmerizing. first time dru sees dawn is a shit show for everyone except dru, who is having a fascinating time Seeing dawn

just like spike, dru gives dawn lots of nicknames. the slayer is their own personal sunshine, but dawn here has been touched by the universe itself

I think over time dawn would learn to appreciate dru's attention, if only bc she feels as though no one else is giving her any and dru is always happy to provide, making them quite close (even if for not very good reasons)

Shelda's cards in the Bugsnax card game, as requested by @bugsnaaax!

I wondered about how Shelda would work before the digital rewards came out, and it turns out she just has the ability to not think about Bugsnax. Sometimes. And forgo the new ability she'd normally get out of eating them. (Eating a Bugsnak allows you to draw a new Grumpus card)

Also enjoying the Mother having more wisdom for Shelda if she has a Bugsnak in her hand already.

it's baggy in the wrong places and overall Not Very Good! but that's to be expected seeing as i've never crocheted a sweater before, let alone one for a stuffed animal (and i had to kinda bullshit the pattern, seeing as it was made for a more proportional/bigger aminal). i'm proud of it. she looks nice and cozy for the coming winter months

Hh sorry, they have lots of story stuff planned out but it's all just rattling around in my head, there's no comic, written fiction, lore depository or anything substantial that I could direct you to. I mostly just design characters for my own enjoyment and then put them in little imaginary situations because it's a fun and inspiring thing to do.

Before meeting the twins, the Liberator was no stranger to falling ill. Living outside in the wild will do that to you, even if you have the advantage of wool keeping you nice and warm.

Being sick after meeting the twins was no different. Same misery, same delirium, same clammy feeling throughout their whole body.

At least with their siblings, the illness never lasted long. And it felt nice, having someone care for them. They didn't know what that felt like, until they found their flock.
