In the original town, hancyan had placed her firehouse right next to where my church is now. It's an EA build - I think. Anyway, while looking at those Disney world videos over on youtube, I saw a little firehouse they had built that I thought would look nice in this world.
This is their firehouse. I placed it down in the industrial area right across the street from those very first lots I showed all of you. Before, there was a little park here, but I figured a firehouse would be more practical, what with factories right across the street. Anyway, I got rid of the original pavement that came with the lot - more "happy- colored tiles!" Instead, I used some terrain paints by @grandelama. They look really nice in this world. I also placed some trees out front and a fire hydrant more in line with the Victorian period. And, I toned all the brighter-than-white trim down a bit. I may go back and place a town clock on that tower.
And here's the inside. I didn't do much to this. Maybe just got rid of all of the "happy" colors. (I tend more towards grunge). Plus I added some stuff for the mascot dog. Too bad there isn't an old-time firetruck, but it is what it is.
Then, since I decided to use that ballpark lot from My Sim Realty for my stadium lot, I redid the town school. This was a remake that I had originally done for modern-day SV. Since this is a much bigger space, I was able to place some parking spots out front. That way, buggies will be seen around town.
Anyway, there was lots of room in the back, so I decided to use Sandy's canal set and make a small canal to separate this lot from the adjoining ones. I will probably continue the canal across the street where that yellowish building is now. I figure the founding fathers discovered - after they landed here and started to build - that, like in Washington D.C., there was a water problem. It was basically a swamp. And like our founding fathers did, they made canals to channel the water. Anyway, it looks pretty.
Then, I went up to the Goth house and started remodeling it. It's going to be the home of Gunther's grandparents. I know there were 2 children - Victor and Samuel - but I may give them a daughter too. Depends on my mood when I get into CAS.
#sims 3#SV-Victorian#Thanks to the people who created the Disney world and for all their pretty lots#and to Sandy - just because

How similar is Belos is to Frollo really? Are they really that similar or is it just fans comparing them because there the only 2 main religious theme villains in a Disney universe ever
This is kind of a rough one because there is certainly a case to be had. The two are cut from a very similar cloth where they are meant to be religious men who have black souls and use the scripture to justify their hate. The big difference for why one is good and one is not is... I believe Frollo is actually dealing with this inherent conflict within him because of temptation.
Belos has no Hellfire... Because he has no fire in him. He is a shell. Not a shell of a man, that's interesting, but a shell of a character. His religious motivation should lead to more extremism, more hate, etc. like that but that would also mean that, like Frollo, he'd have to be active in his hate and pain he causes. After all, from literally the first scene, Frollo is murdering people and trying to kill a baby. He is only stopped when a man more genuinely holy than him calls him out for thinking that even an innocent like a baby deserves death and damnation. It is a moment of weakness from a man who is already hateful and it marks how bad things are for the Romani in the movie. They are NEVER having a good time because Frollo has actively made society and its systems actively destroy who they are. His hate is omnipresent.
Belos' is... *shrug* Like literally until "I am trying to save your souls!" in Thanks to Them, Belos never seems religious in even the slightest. Until we know what the Day of Unity is, it appears he's actually made a pretty good place to live. He's made people safer, he's given structure and community to a world that didn't have it because otherwise his actions before his rise to power would have been found out, and he asks genuinely VERY little of people, even allowing forgiveness to those who have been away from the Coven System for potentially decades like Eda's Friend in Hollow Mind to come back with zero consequences. Even members of his own coven who leave deal with no consequences (which really makes Eclipse Lake feel WRONG in hindsight.)
There is no hate here. There is no motivation. He is evil... Because he is evil. Hell, we even see this with the difference between Quasimodo and Hunter. Frollo keeps Quasi under control by making him genuinely hate himself. By tearing who he is down until he would almost never even question the idea of going against Frollo, especially long term. Disobeying him is terrifying, especially because in Quasi's eyes, no one can replace Frollo for no one will ever be capable of liking him. Not just liking him like Frollo does but liking him AT ALL. And this is all done because while Quasi is Frollo's penance for what he tried to do on the steps, he is also indicative of so much that Frollo hates so he is better treated as an animal than anything approaching a human being. After all, even if he isn't in touch with his heritage, just being tangentially close to the Romani or sympathetic to them is enough to make Frollo hate you and wish to see you erased.
Meanwhile, Hunter is number 489244502 attempt at using magic, which Belos supposedly hates, to create a right hand man of someone who betrayed him for witches! FUCKING AMAZING! Not only that but instead of genuinely trying to isolate and control him, Belos is easily replaced motivationally by Darius for an episode because Hunter easily sees people as able to replace Belos for giving him approval and there's no actual reason Hunter should think himself lesser than others. He literally replaced Lilith in the fiction as the poster person of the Isles. Literally his face was EVERYWHERE shortly after the execution. He holds a lot of power and is given a lot of importance and yet no one in the EC seems to like him WHATSOEVER. Not because of his attitude, personality or lack of magic but because apparently Hunter, who walks around the castle without his mask ALL THE TIME, is known by literally no one in the EC because he's easily forgotten... Until Labyrinth Runners where every scout can now easily identify him immediately.
It makes it so that Frollo appears to genuinely have a conflicted nature... While Belos is just a bad man who is bad at his job and even worse at actually using his religious motivation to justify what he's doing because he's so inconsistent and seems to have no idea what he's actually doing. Like I said: Belos has no Hellfire in him because I never believe he's actually religious. Frollo on the other hand is shown from the first sequence to GENUINELY be God fearing. He uses God to also hurt but his convictions are real and that's part of what makes him so terrifying because only a moment like Hellfire could ever change things with him. Nothing else but his own piety could ever change how he treats the world because so long as he has that conviction of faith, he will never waver. This also makes him actually MUCH more cutting as far as religious critiques go because it's easy to point at the leaders of the Crusades and goes, "Those men were greedy assholes who wanted power." It's a lot harder to genuinely depict the TERROR of what holy motivation does to a person, like why the common soldiers of the Crusades were willing to go so far just for their faith and a chance to not end up damned for that which they were good at.
Meanwhile, I only say nothing could ever stop Belos' rage because that is simply his narrative role. Because he is just a conman who seems to do nothing, part of me assumes, honestly, that an Esmerelda coming into his life would actually make him turn native. He would chain her up and enslave her, sure, but all he wants is glory and praise. He wants a title, not moral superiority. As such... Why wouldn't he make the same choice his brother did if a hot enough witch offered up her ass? Maybe he just gets turned off by the pointy ears?
Like I can't tell you, besides rage about his brother for literally FOUR. HUNDRED. YEARS. why Belos goes to the extremes he does because for as extreme as his hypocrisy... He isn't extreme in action. He doesn't seem to mostly care about what's going on in the Isles, even as he has to wait FIFTY YEARS after coming to power to kill... Like 70% maybe of the population since apparently during that entire time, he never once thought about how he'd go about killing the kids.
It's not compelling and it's not interesting but this is one TOH's inherent issues. It knows really cool ideas and examples. Frollo is a great Disney villain for a reason (and also proof that Disney WILL theoretically let you tackle this subject matter and TOH didn't even do a tenth of what Hunchback did with its religious stuff. In fact, I need to do a blog on how I think the Titan actually reinforces Christian Fundamentalism.) But... TOH doesn't understand what makes the source material compelling. It's not willing to put in the work or the clever writing to really sell why these characters are the way they are. They're just instead character types and tropes that Tumblr and Twitter like thrown in because that's what's in a good story right?
And so we have shells of much better characters, just like Belos wears Frollo like a cheap skin.
======+++++======
I have admittedly not seen Hunchback of Notre Dame in SO. LONG. so this might not be 100% right and sorry about that.
I have a public Discord for any and all who want to join!
I also have an Amazon page for all of my original works in various forms of character focused romances from cute, teenage romance to erotica series of my past. I have an Ao3 for my fanfiction projects as well if that catches your fancy instead. If you want to hang out with me, I stream from time to time and love to chat with chat.
A Twitter you can follow too
And a Kofi if you like what I do and want to help out with the fact that disability doesn’t pay much.

is it just me or does this fandom have a weirdly large amount of NSFW stuff? like we're a pretty small fandom overall but compared to any of the other small fandoms I'm in, RA has SUCH a massive quantity of adult content, which is kinda curious since this is still a children's series originally thoughts anyone on why this is?
normally I would send this into the world without comment but I feel like it's necessary now.
I suspect you're a newer member of the fandom since we had a NSFW Renaissance not so long ago. Basically: RA was very squeaky clean and not a lot of people dared to openly make NSFW because they didn't want to be deemed 'creeps'. Thanks to some prominent fandom members we now have a space where people can share NSFW work (headcanons, art, fanfics, discussions) without 'bothering' anyone who doesn't want to see it. All this 'weirdly large amount of NSFW stuff' is very very new in the grand context of things and, I'm not saying go away completely or die down, will wane in amount over the next couple of months. People (adults!) are just happy they're able to connect with the fandom in a way they wanted to but didn't feel they could before.
Historically the target audience hasn't mattered much to fandom or the amount of NSFW created for it (Harry Potter, ATLA, Disney movies, etc). The reason for this is just that sex is an intricate part of adult life and isn't going to leave someone's brain because they're thinking about a book written for children. Although I have to mention that canonically all the characters are either geriatric or middle-aged by now (people like to forget RR exists) so it's not like people are out there sexualizing kids.
I hope this cleared somethings up for you, maybe people can add to this if they have a better explanation.

Writblr Interview
Thanks for the tag @willtheweaver
Short stories, novels or poems?
I’m definitely a novel guy, both for reading and writing.
What genre do you prefer reading?
Definitely fantasy and mythology. But I often cross into sci fi and dystopians
What genre do you prefer writing?
I am honestly not sure how to answer this, given that I’ve done almost nothing but work on one project for over a decade
Are you a planner or a write as I go kind of person?
I start out with an outline but when I get down to the scenes I like to wait and see what happens then adjust my plans accordingly
What music do you listen to while writing?
I have playlists for some characters but on the whole I pretty much just have one playlist with all of my music on it that I hit shuffle on every time.
Favorite books/movies?
Oh cmon we’ll be here all day. I grew up on pretty much everything made by Jim Henson or Mel Brooks and I listen to audiobooks 40 hours a week at my factory job. I burn through a lot of material XD8 to summarize my favorite movie is The Princess Bride, and my favorite book is The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
Any current WIPs?
For the most part just Project Gemini.
Fandomverse is an rp chain, and I mostly do art for this not so much writing snippets
Elemental High is an idea I’ve been toying with. it’s basically Project Gemini, if it were a Disney Channel series. I think it’d be super interesting to see how I as a writer could tell the same story through a completely different lense/ how would the story change if I changed its intended audience?
If someone were to make a cartoon out of you what would your standard outfit be?
Lucky for all of you, I did make a cartoon me. The color would change based on what color my hair is
Create a character description of yourself:
If I thought anybody in an orthodontics factory was about to be isekaied or find a weird portal into another dimension it was this guy. He was at least 20 years younger than everyone else in the building and, in a lot of cases, twice that. But despite being super easy to spot in a crowd, he never really says much without prompting. Still, as loud as he is in a visual sense, he never seems entirely here. Like the voices in his head are more interesting than anything going on around him. Dude fucking lights up if you mention pizza though.
Do you like incorporating actual people you know into your writing?
Not consciously no. People will say Quinn is based off my enby stoner best friend but from my point of view, I don’t know many enby stoners who aren’t like Quinn. But as a whole I like to let the characters tell me who they are. Any resemblance to someone real or imagined is purely coincidental.
Are you kill happy with your characters?
Rachelle, my partner for Project Gemini, would say yes. I have elected not to comment
Coffee or Tea while writing?
Hate to be the odd one out here but an ice cold Dr. Pepper is what I go for
Slow or fast writer?
If I can get a glove going I can write badly pretty fast. But overall, I’m 13 years into the only real project I’ve ever had and I’m still not done with book 1
Where/who/what do you draw inspiration from?
It helps for me to keep consuming new stories but honestly, the best inspiration comes from the interactions about my work from all of you out there. Unmatched. (Shoutout to @honeybewrites @the-golden-comet and @the-letterbox-archives for giving me so much)
If you were in a fantasy world, what would you be?
Probably a librarian of some kind, just like I’m trying to do in real life. But I’m way to exhausted and disabled for that adventuring crap XD8
Most fav book cliche:
Oh I don’t know how to describe it. When the protagonist is a young boy without a father and they find a father figure/mentor/bodyguard. I eat that shit up and I don’t see it very often. [examples would be Sage and Mott from the Ascendance Trilogy/series by Jennifer A Nielsen and Matt and Tam Lin in The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
Least favorite cliche:
I really hate it when a main character (regardless of gender) is passive. It’s just so not fun to read about someone who never takes action in their situations.
Fav scene to write?
Almost any of Cas and Adrian’s interactions. I adore their dynamics
Reason for writing?
Because I’ve got shit inside my head and it’s not doing any good in there so I might as well get it out here.

i’m very very curious about your arthurian retelling! who are the central characters? what do you find most interesting/exciting/compelling about them? what are your arthurian sources & inspirations (be that medieval texts or modern retellings)?
Hey there anon! Thank you so much for asking this question - this is going to be a bit of a long answer but I get the feeling that won't be an issue :D (Maybe grab a snack?)
Firstly I'll explain why I'm using 'reimagining' rather than 'retelling', namely it's because of moving Arthur and co into a high fantasy setting rather than just Britain etc. which, while of course there will be analogues, there's going to be a bigger part that other fantasy species play. Christian themes and I guess, reasonings, aren't found but linger where appropriate (Grail Quest is there but but Galahad doesn't like yk go to Heaven afterwards) as some media I've been inspired from as well as I think a big thing of Arthur's legend of moving from one world into another whether that be Pagan -> Christian or Anglo-Saxon -> Britain(* all the big asterisks there because yk fiction and history not aligning).
Characters
Oh boy. Firstly I'd like you to check out the chart that was added to the wikipedia for King Arthur's Family: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Arthur%27s_family *how I wish this was there last year :sob:* and basically this kinda gives a good scope of characters I have 'webbed' out. I've gone to both Welsh and French texts for inspiration since Welsh includes Arthur's trips to the underworld ( ;) ) and French is when we get Lancelot and the Grail Quest. Firstly know I have taken some liberties both in Arthur's family tree as well as some creative ways that account for say multiple parents (Lancelot is recorded as being the son of a King but also as a son of The Lady of the Lake ~plot reasons~ they're separate uh, instances lets say ;) of his parents in my story). But in terms of characters whose voice I have a pretty good grasp of, their emotional arc(s) and a clear image in my mind of what they look like are (and grouped for no particular reason...):
Arthur, Lancelot, Gwen, and two others in their polycule.*
Igraine, Uther, and Gorloris.**
Merlin <- think druidic Loki vibes, he's a pain in my ass and I love him.
Hector his daughter Ser Kay.
Nimue and The Lady of the Lake.
Morgause and her son Mordred.
Madoc and his brother Mark.
Morgaen and how they were separated from Arthur at birth.
... The notion database I've created by pulling all the characters from sources comes to 258 but the above lists some uh key figures that are fleshed out as protagonists, antagonists, and anti-heroes.
(*) I'll get to Arthur/Lance/Gwen's triad a bit more below, but what I will say is that polycule is an important term here as everyone isn't with everyone, if that makes sense? But imagine found family five-man-band vibes.
(**) SO fun fact, when I watched the movie Merlin as a kid I misheard Gorlois as Goloris so I just kinda stuck with it. Unsure if that'll upset people too much though aha.
Why Tho? Exciting/Interesting/Compelling reasons why these characters have my soul.
I'm a big fan of Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Mythology. Seeing comparisons and also seeing both the Disney-fied versions but also the original tales. Arthurian legends has scratched an itch of dragons, knights, and magic that I've loved and is also shared by other stories too - which in part is why I'm spending so much time worldbuilding up front so I have a whole world sandbox to play in and tell some other tales too with it.
Why did I go with Arthur instead of say the Little Mermaid & Harpy sapphic reimagining I've got stashed? Honestly? Because he answered the call to adventure - the quest I have planned - but also because the Arthur I have in my mind, a big theme for him is Courage and doing the thing even though you're scared to which I resonate with a lot. Lancelot came stumbling in as his best friend from their squire days after disappearing for a few years for a second chance romance plot. Gwen butting heads with her twin sister had a certain, fire let's say ( ;) ), that need to pull these two dorks out of their heads while also exploring themes of empowerment. Mordred's arc which I hope to pull off as well as Zuko's was. Merlin, whom I love, was the one who revealed the world to me and really sparked the magic of it all. But then two scenes came to my mind, in full colour and with a big emotional impact.
Arthur and Morgaen's next meeting after finding out they're siblings.
Lancelot's lost memories returning and Arthur knighting the man who had turned to stone to save him.
I'll need to go through and make a full list of tags eventually but uh, lots of Angst/Hurt/Comfort mixed in with wholesome moments. I'm leaning towards potentially writing in a serial format and also doing maybe side stories from different character perspectives.
Sources & Inspirations
In terms of Arthurian specific things:
Welsh sources: Black Book of Carmarthen; Red and White books of Hergest; Culhwch and Olwen; Mabinogion; and the Welsh Triads.
Geoffrey of Monmouth, notably for Arthur's connection to the Roman Empire and characters from that region.
French sources: Le Mort de Arthur, Tristan and Iseult, Perceval and other stories such as Lancelot and the Knight of the Cart (I cackled a bit when I read that one ngl).
I tend to listen to the Myths and Legends podcast by Jason (something) who will be coming out with an Arthurian book sometime which I am keeeen for.
In terms of post-medieval things, there's a lot of nodding to fairy tales such as Tom Thumb and any story where Jack is mentioned.
Merlin the 1998 miniseries with Sam Neill. (This is the one that I misheard Golois as Goloris aha.)
The Mists of Avalon 2001 miniseries. (I haven't read the books and don't plan to support the author or that estate in any way due to the abuse she aided and abetted in).
Sword and the Stone is a classic Disney film but the main thing here I took inspiration from was to really highlight The Great Game in some way... Which is also a nod to Talesin in the Mabinogian. Also enjoyed Quest for Camelot as well.
There's a sapphic scifi retelling that I love called Once and Future.
And I also watched King Arthur's Disasters as a kid which, ngl I prefer the Welsh versions where he's a badass but this was amusing at the time.
In terms of non-Arthurian sources and inspirations, oh boy this gets quite long but basically from the above there are offshoots that I've done in terms of exploring:
Other Welsh tales.
Folklore of Europe as well as Ireland, Scotland, and Britain.
A lot of dabbling in comparative mythology and folklore as well as such as the Aarne-Thompson-Uther Index for folklore to create some original but familiar folk heroes and lore for my world.
Consuming pretty much everything on Overly Sarcastic Productions.
I've mentioned that Avatar the Last Airbender and Fullmetal Alchemist are two comparative points of media: the first being for the elemental magic system as well as just some solid worldbuilding and character arcs - one of my blocks with writing is that I have like this big epic quest, various wholesome slice of life moments, deep emotional beats, but then also some spicey scenes that come to mind; the latter is mainly for a nod to alchemy, and magitech as well as some character beats.
I've also mentioned ASOIAF and really want to highlight that there won't be any inc##t at all in my books. There will be dark themes such as abuse of power, manipulation, and there will be people who get hurt or take advantage of, but I just really don't like that plot beat at all. Hence why Mordred is no Arthur's son.
*flops* Okay thank you for sticking with me through all of that. Let me know if you have more questions or if you'd like me to elaborate on anything! Thank you again for your question, it means a lot that people are finding it interesting (helps stop the imposter syndrome voices yk?)

For the TTS Ask Game!
🥳 How do you like celebrating your birthday?
💇 What's the shortest your hair has ever been, and do you regret it?
👑 What's one responsibility that you wish you didn't have?
🐴 How did you meet your best friend?
🦉 What's the dumbest name you ever gave a pet (or non-sentient object if pets weren't your thing?)
 What empowers you?
🌌 What's your dream?
🌨 Who are you trying to make proud of you?
🏕 What's the worst gift you've ever given someone?
🎨 What's your favorite art medium to use?
🎶 Favorite song to sing when you're alone?
🍳 What's one thing you've got to get for yourself?
🍎 What would you give up everything you're doing to get?
🍃 Do you like having the wind in your hair?
Thanks girl! Okay, let's see!
🥳: For my birthday, or any occasion really, I love going to the Natural History Museum! I'm a huge history and science freak. Someday I plan on working in a museum!
💇: The shortest my hair has ever been? That's good question. Because the thing is I never cut my hair. Why? Well, I always treasured having really long untamable hair. I viewed at a symbol of my personal freedom. So my hair has always been pretty long. Although lately, I guess you could say the shortest it's been is a bit past shoulder length. That the length it's seemed to have settled on since I've gotten older. Which is still pretty long actually. But yeah! It actually used to be longer which is crazy! Okay, I'm rambling. Moving on.🤣
👑: This is Also a tough one. Because well, I do struggle with a lot of my responsibilities cus of my ADHD. But I don't know if I'd want to be rid of them either because they're important to myself and to others. So I don't know if I can really answer that.
🐴: Over the Internet! I actually have three. 💕You💕, my friend @cassandrium360, and @disneyfanatic1993! I love you all!
🦉: Dumbest name? Well, I don't know if you could call it dumb, but me and my Mom named my cat Mouth.🤣 Because whenever it's feeding time or he's just talkative, he'll do these very long stretched out meows and opens his mouth real wide. Haha!
🌕: What empowers me? Well, knowing I have the Lord on my side is one thing for sure. I've had several experiences that I can call back on when I feel weak. And that definitely makes me feeling better.
🌌: My dream? Hollywood baby! But I'm not in it for money and fame. I guess that sounds cliche. But I want to help people. I want to write songs that will excite. Weave stories that will bring love and comfort. Creat art and animation that will inspire! I want to bring joy to people! Give them something that will lift the heavy burdens of life and wisk them away to somewhere of fantasy and happiness. And the money I earn? I'll put it to good use! Fix the world's problems! Help everyone can! Use in a way that would make Jesus and God proud. I guess I got a little dramatic. Lol!😅 But it's true! It's something I'm very passionate about. :)
🌨️: I don't know really. Honestly, none of the stuff I do is to earn any sort of praise. I simply want to do it because I feel it's my calling and I want to do good! But I suppose, I would like to make my family proud of me. I never really crossed my mind I guess.
🏕️: I haven't gotten any complaints from the gifts I've given before. Actually, I've been told I do really good when it comes to gifting. So, I'm not sure if I can answer that.
🎨: Favorite medium? And pencil and paper! That's all! And maybe, my Adobe Sketchbook App. But I think the good old pencil and paper rivals that.
🎶: Oh gosh. I don't even sing. Lol! I'm so embarrassed by my voice that I can't even sing to myself without cringing.🤣
🍳: The Full animation class by Aaron Blaise! One of my favorite Disney Animator Veterans! And if not that, a 3D printer. Cus those are awesome!
🍎: Woah. I honestly don't know. I've never felt that strongly interested in something before. Is that bad?😅
🍃: YES. WIND. RAIN. LIGHTNING. THUNDER. LET ME AT IT. WATCH ME PRANCE THROUGH THE CHAOS. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - HACK - *intense Coughing* Sorry. Let us continue.🥸🤣
Well, there you go! Thanks for the ask bestie! That was fun!

My blog has been pretty much exclusively used to interact with and occasionally create Stranger Things content, but one fandom I am even more obsessed with is The Legend of Zelda. With news of an upcoming Zelda live action film coming out, I’ve become a bit hyper focused on the Zeldaverse lately. While many fans are anxious about the film, particularly it being live action, I’m extremely optimistic about it. We have the filmmaking technology to bring fantastical worlds to life in live action film and with the amount of resources Nintendo is pouring into this project one thing is certain: it’s going to be a sensory spectacle rivaling anything else we have ever seen on screen.
There is one thing I am nervous about however: casting. Particularly of Link. He’s got to be one of the hardest characters to cast in all of fiction, and getting him wrong will ruin the movie for a lot of fans. I’ve been wracking my brain for an ideal pick, and it hasn’t been easy. The three options I have seen suggested the most are Tom Holland, Timmothy Chalamet, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. While I wouldn’t be angry with any of these choices, there a few glaring problems:
1. They’re too old. Link has always, in every piece of official Zelda media, been portrayed as a child or a teenager. Even “adult Link” is only about 17. The only exception is maybe Tears of the Kingdom, where he is, at oldest, in his early 20’s (not counting his 100 year ageless nap in the resurrection chamber), and even there he looks rather young to be in his 20’s. By contrast, Holland is 27, Chalamet is 28, and Brodie-Sangster is 33. Each would have been ideal - 10 or 15 years ago.
2. They’re too established. With the exception of maybe Brodie-Sangster. If Holland or Chalamet played Link I simply wouldn’t see Link. I’d see Tom Holland or Timmothy Chalamet. It’s not their fault that they’re such tremendous talents that they’ve been cast in so many huge career defining roles, but their huge celebrity status would break the cinematic illusion for me.
I think Nintendo would agree, and I know they are taking utmost care with this IP, so I doubt we’re going to see the Chris-Prattization of the Zelda cast. So who do I think they should pick? The first person to come to mind for me is Walker Scobell, of Disney’s Percy Jackson reboot fame. In so many ways he’s just perfect. He’s young. He’s beautiful. He has a very expressive face, capable of conveying Link’s personality with relatively few words (and I do hope they maintain Link’s canonical strong-silent-type demeanor). He fits into the fantasy genre naturally and is capable of the athleticism would will be needed to play Link. The only problem is that he is… Percy Jackson. The starring role in one of the most popular young adult fandoms ever. Could his role as Percy Jackson have the same distracting effect as casting a Holland or Chalamet would have? Does Scobell even have the time for a project as big as The Legend of Zelda will inevitably be?
I’ve heard other great child actors names by fans who would fit the role well, namely Julian Crauser, Thomas Kuc, Mason Thames, and Kiefer o'Reilly (thank you Brian Seeker on YouTube for pointing out these tremendously talented young men), but I haven’t heard anyone mention my personal choice for the role. That’s probably because few people have ever heard of him. My number one pick for Link would be… drum roll please…
Henry Lawfull.
Henry Lawfull is a 17 year old actor who stares in the Netflix original holiday-fantasy film A Boy Called Christmas. If you haven’t seen it, it’s absolutely worth a watch.
He’s a great actor, he’s the right age, he’s a relatively unknown name in the industry, and most importantly, he just kind of looks like Link -
To drive the point home further, I asked Bing AI to imagine what Henry Lawfull would look like as Link, and that absolutely sold it for me:
Tell me what you think. Is this kid perfect for the role or do you just not see it? In any case, I hope this kid has a thriving career ♥️

Evaluating fandoms in which I have been✨️
Disney: 4/10? - it certainly gave me desire to be more open and share my drawings with people but there are lots of freaks
Miraculous Ladybug: 10/10 - absolute chaos, fandom content is better than Tarantino movies, no one understands what is going on anymore, a lot of really dark humour
Good Omens: 8/10 - my first fd in which I've created art for more than a year... it was a lovely time. There is too much angsty and boring content, though.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 9/10 - my most favourite fandom, I found a lot of great people here. Minus one point because people here are spinning the wheel of the same topics over and over and over again.
Ennead: 1/10 - thanks, I hate it, the world would be better if it never existed.
Mob Psycho 100: 6/10 - I don't understand how such a lovely positive manga can attract such freaks who love wishing random people to kill themselves. People here are obsessed with being moral police, and it made me exhausted. They also have a cult personality of one fandom artist here, and it worries me. Nevertheless, I also found some good people here! :D
Hetalia: 7/10 - I found friends here! Considering what Himaruya creates himself, I didn't expect much from it from the very beginning, so I was ummm... Surprised not all people here are prorussian. Of course, russia appreciation here upsets me, but I can't say people here are pure evil. In fact, most of them seem pretty normal, just not educated well.
Kill Six Billion Demons: 100/10 - the only universal art is violence

College Adventures Special Episode IX: Interview with Jorge Gutierrez and Sandra Equiha!
Thought I was done with the interviews, huh? This was the most starstruck I've been in a long, long, time! C'mon, these two created El Tigre and Book of Life, how could I not get excited??
Sorry if I get a bit personal, but there's so much I wanted to say about this talk!
First of all, Jorge is such an energetic and naturally funny speaker- whenever he tells a story, you can pretty much see it play out in his animation style!
When he was young, he told his family that he wanted to draw/write/direct, and they all laughed at him.
His stern architect dad told Jorge that he would only let him go to art school if Jorge got into the best one in the world, proving his determination about his dream (which explains a lot of Jorge's dad characters)
Jorge's told the story about the snooty CalArts interviewer (Telling him to be true to his Mexican art rather than copying American styles) in nearly every interview, so I won't go too in-depth on it here.
Sure enough, Jorge got accepted into CalArts! But at that time he was tempted to stay behind in Tijuana with his new girlfriend Sandra. She told him he'd be an idiot for staying and told him to got to CalArts while she studied graphic design.
Here's the part I relate to Jorge so hard on- he spent his college years surrounded by so many talented people that it caused self-esteem issues. But he also noticed that talented artists procrastinate a lot. So while his more talented friends were procrastinating, he did over 3x their workload to catch up to and exceed their level!
One of his shorts won an award at Cannes, and was his first big break!
He loves working too hard and challenging himself, trying out 3d and a job at Lucasfilm for a while to diversify. He preferred 2d and left for other ventures though. I really do hope he does more fully 2d stuff someday!
Contrary to what a lot of other successful people say, Jorge really prefers being a jack of all trades! I really admire how he also started out as a simultaneous writer/animator/voice actor, and he started out making his own animated short called "El Macho Vs the Mariachis of Doom", which blew up overnight into a viral hit!
Because of this, Sony noticed this and decided to give him a show! They asked him how much of a budget he wanted and he said 17k. Much later, Jorge found out he got scammed and the original budget was 150k before he opened his mouth.
Moral of the story: Never say how much you want to get paid- always ask how much they will pay you!
This Sony show did get canned in development, but even being hired by Sony gave him enough clout to get looked at by Disney, which gave him enough clout to get hired by Nickelodeon for El Tigre!
Since Jorge and Sandra were married by this point, Nickelodeon had them sign a "divorce clause" when they were both hired, saying they couldn't stop working together even if they split up!
As Nick's first flash animated show, El Tigre was apparently really hated by old Nick Execs. It did really well in every blue state, and got Jorge death threats from every red state.
When Jorge joined Dreamworks to make the Book of Life, Bee Movie failing caused the current execs to get swapped out for new racist execs who told him to whitewash the movie. They also told him to work with some random guy who'd never even wrote a musical or anything at the time- some Lin Manuel Miranda dude? Wonder what he's up to now.
Rightfully angry at the whitewashing, Jorge left to make Book of Life elsewhere, with very little of their former coworkers having faith in him and Sandra.
Jorge had to beg Guillermo Del Toro 16 times to help produce his movie. Turns out, Del Toro only ghosted the first 15 times because he was shy, and did really want to work with Jorge!
Thanks to Del Toro's clout as the director of Shape of Water, he was able to convince 20th Century Fox to make the Book of Life for Jorge! And yeah, Fox? Working with POC for a POC movie? Jorge didn't have the best time at the company. But he's still happy the movie got made!
But right as Jorge was about to start work on his Latino Sci-Fi show, Trump became president and a ton of Mexican series, including Jorge's, got cancelled.
So Jorge moved on to his next project, meeting up with his friends Lord & Miller to make the Billion Brick Race movie for Lego! I always wondered what happened to that film.
Well, what happened was, Danish Lego executives saw that Jorge wanted to make the film about the Latino experience and once again yelled at him to whitewash (or yellow-wash?) it. They told him how they didn't believe in critical race theory, so he left. (You know, as the company that cancelled Bionicle twice, it really doesn't surprise me that those people hate good things and are evil.)
And finally, Jorge got invited to a big Netflix party for his birthday. For his present, they told him they'd make any show he wanted them to make, so Jorge got wasted and told them he wanted a big Mayan fantasy adventure show. The next morning as he was recovering from his hangover, it was official! That's how Maya and the Three was born!
Now Jorge doesn't just have Maya- he also has Enchihuahua, an anthology short, an adult comedy series, another Maya-like show, and a lucha libre movie all coming soon!
Bonus:
Jorge loves wearing graphic tees about whatever he's working on!
Jorge likes drawing things with crazy complex Latino detailing, and Sandra likes cute minimalist designs. They love working together because they feel their contrast helps each other shine!
Honestly, I've never seen such a funny and loving couple in my life! If they don't make a show about their dynamic, I'll have to do it!
Sandra loves making poorly named art reference folders so much that she gets lost in them. Jorge is so hopelessly in love with her and her art, even the sketches she hates, it's adorable.
Jorge is mad that CalArts doesn't teach scriptwriting, and as someone who hates the armchair cartoon critics who wimp out and fail at writing their own animations, I'm mad on his behalf too!
Jorge joked that he wants to be converted into an animatronic when he dies.
Re: Jorge's adult animated series- he said he's inspired by anime and Primal when making it.
My favorite quote of the night from Jorge and Sandra: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together <3"

As much as I love The Owl House for its lgbtq rep on the big screen coming from Disney, I feel like Ducktales 17 should really get more credit then it deserves for its rep! I mean literally they walked so TOH can run!
- Dt17 started in 2017, TOH started in 2020
- Violet canonically has two dads
- LP is canonically Bi
- Penumbra is canonically a Lesbian
- People who worked on the show drew art of Della and Penumbra together
- Gyro is labeled as a chicken but DOESNT have features that other roosters in the show has, and his outfit from the flashbacks from Astro BOYD can probably show he is transcoded!
-Similar stuff with Violet! In real life, Violet Saberwings are only Male but in the show, she is a Violet Saberwing, hence her name and a female! She is also transcoded according to me bc I make the rules!
- Boyd was given the opportunity to chose his identity and his own proper name at the end of his episode, and he took it! and that in itself is rep!
- Lena got to choose her own identity and was still discovering herself in season 2&3
- Thanks to @bardicinspiration-blog for mentioning this! Webby is Scrooge’s clone but they are different genders! However with May and June being Webby’s clones, they are both female! Which means that either Scrooge or Webby are trans!
So as my point proves, DUCKTALES 17 DESERVES THE AWARD FOR LGBTQ REP IN DISNEY FIRST!!

Oh man I finished watching the new Chip ‘n Dale movie on Disney + and I have a lot to say about it! Spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet!
- I absolutely admire that they were able to incorporate so many different animation styles in this movie!
-The 2d animation is interesting and i dont hate it so that says a lot!
- The story that was told, I enjoyed it and I liked the mix of toons and the living world living together
- The elements used in this movie are really cool!
-CAMEOS!!
-I like that they brought back Gadget’s original VA for this movie
- Ugly Sonic…?!?!? And they fact they brought in the original animation style that the first Sonic movie was supposed to use before the movie got delayed and we got the new style
- Gadget and Zipper have kids? Idk how to feel bout that! 42 kids… and counting??!?! WHAT?!
- After seeing the scene where Chip and Dale were about to be bootlegged in that machine the first time, it actually freaked me out
- I absolutely loved the callbacks to the original show! So smart and since I started watching the original show I absolutely loved that!
-The Disney Afternoon era references, Genius!
-DAKRWING DUCK AT THE END?! Best part in my opinion! COME ON DISNEY, GIVE US THE REBOOT!!!!!!

Food-Battling Strategy Game Ponders the Ethics of Culinary Combat
An egg can be boiled by just about anyone, and with practise, you might even be able to whip one up and cook it into a tasty omelette. What transpires, then, when you pit that omelette against a three-layer cake? The creator of the upcoming turn-based strategy game GladiEAT was approached by PCGamesN at WASD 2023 to ask him about Steam Early Access plans, the morality of culinary conflict, and the undeniable potential of cheese. The concept of GladiEATers is pretty simple – you cook up various foods and then send them to fight your opponent’s creations. You can bash out simple foods like boiled eggs quickly, or take time to cook something fancier (and stronger in battle) like a three-layered cake. It’s a simple but delightful concept that developer Oliver Georgallis from Milk Bubbles Games came up with on a long drive. “It was complete silence that was broken by, ‘Tommy, I’ve got this idea okay?’” Upon telling his friend, the response all but confirmed the idea in Georgallis’s head: “It could be called GladiEATers.” He loved the name so much that ‘Tommy’ still holds a small stake in the game just for those naming rights. “I love puns – a lot of things in the game are named after puns,” Georgallis tells us on the WASD show floor. “The team pulls me back on that a lot,” he muses, “For example, there’s only one combat chef in the game that can speak in puns, because everyone else said, alright Oliver, all the others need to speak normally.” Georgallis says the team wants the characters to feel varied and interesting, however, and each has their own specific dietary preferences, such as one who’s a raw paleo vegan. “That’s never really a point of humour, you know – no-one ever makes fun of someone for what they eat, or how they dress, or anything like that. That’s really important to us as well. So just real people, basically, that’s what we designed the characters after.” As a trained chef, Georgallis says, “Food is so relatable – I don’t need to explain to anyone what a fried egg is, you know, they just know. And I think that’s a sort of jumping-off point for building character or a creature.” GladiEATers - creatures made out of the tomato and egg dish ShakshoukaSome foods might be a little less familiar to some, however – Ratatouille is fairly widely known at this point thanks to the Disney film of the same name, but what about the tomato and egg dish Shakshouka? “So few people know what that is – I would love for someone to make Shakshouka in the game and then figure out how to make it in real life and find out it’s super easy and super tasty.” Roughly 50 creatures across three categories of eggs, pastry, and vegetables are currently available in-game, but there’s plenty of potential for new foods to arrive down the line. “Cheese – I mean, once we add cheese to the game… that’s cheesy vegetables, cheesy omelettes, cheese on bread, pizza, I mean the whole floodgates open, right?” That means even just one new ingredient creates a whole world of possibilities. “I mean, that’s kind of how cooking works,” Georgallis concludes. One question is burning on our lips, however. If this food is alive, brought into being by a mysterious force known as the ‘CAL particle’ that turns inanimate calories into food, what are the ethical ramifications of sending it into battle? “It’s interesting that, because you said ‘send it off to die,’ right? This is definitely a conversation we want to develop in the story,” Georgallis teases. “There are definitely going to be characters that question the ethics of fighting with these creatures, getting attached to them and seeing them die kind of hurts. And then if it comes back to life, is it the same thing? So there are questions that we want to develop later on in the story.” It’s certainly a unique spin on the ethics of cooking that we haven’t seen addressed quite in this way before. GladiEATers is currently planned to launch via Steam Early Access by the end of the year, with plans to introduce multiplayer modes including both co-operative play and competitive multiplayer in the future. For now, you can add it to your wishlist if you’re interested. In the meantime, check out more of the best cooking games if you’re feeling peckish, or some other great strategy games for those of you who love the more tactical side of proceedings. With all the delays in bringing internet to the new place I'm only getting around to this weeks after it's been and gone for everyone else, but thank you @ninjakk for tagging me, always nice to get to know people better :)
Three ships:
*did this leave 'I saw three ships come sailing in, come sailing in, come sailing in...' stuck in anyone else's head after doing this??*
Wangxian are clearly going to be top here, very little I can do about that really, and I don't think they're exactly news to anyone following this blog...
So outside of them, and assuming that shipping means I have spent a lot of time actively seeking out fan content for a pairing, my next three ships would be:
TodoDeku- Todoroki Shoto/Izuku Midoriya -BNHA (My Hero Academia) – I've dropped off with the manga/anime and fandom, and I'm essentially waiting to see how Horikoshi wraps this up before I commit to picking it up again but darn it I do really enjoy this pairing. They can be so good for each other! They're two people messed up in quite different ways who still manage to bring some good into the world out of that! One of them sets on fire and the other one is annoyingly OP but still his mind and his heart are two of the most dangerous things about him!! Sue me :P
25th Bam/Khun Aguero Agnis – Tower of God – So what did you do during lockdown Scribbet? Well I decided it was definitely the time to go and spend literal weeks reading the entire backlog of an infamously long and convoluted Webtoon, and then read hundreds of thousands of words of fan fiction about the potentially world-destroying (sort of) sunshine boy of an unwitting catalyst and the scheming, wickedly intelligent, single-mindedly loyal manipulator who became his first real friend, how about you?
Howell Jenkins/Sophie Hatter from HMC by Diana Wynne Jones (very specifically the book rather than Ghibli film characters) – DWJ is probably one of my longest-standing favourites, of anything, and I have literally submitted degree essays on her as an author so I'll try to restrain myself. But these two ridiculous magic-users drive each other up the wall and they're exactly what the other needs. Both pretty brilliant at what they do and both with the capacity to be stubborn idiots who cut up the other's clothes or have magically empowered tantrums over accidentally dying their hair ginger. Will not face up to unwelcome truths until they literally chase after them as destructive curses. Welsh PhD students running off to become wizards (mood) and argumentative red-heads, what more could I ask for?
Hmm I didn't realise just how much I tended towards power couples (probably with emotional issues) before this.... competency kink what now?
First Ever Ship:
In terms of being so invested that I actually consumed and created content of them? Somewhere on Fanfiction.Net I believe there's still several Mulan/Shang fics of mine from around 2004 from Disney's Mulan. Honestly the more I think about it the less surprising my whole only recently recognised bisexuality is, I'm spending half my time feeling like a Tumblr joke right now....
Last song:
It's Alright by Mother Mother - not my usual sound really but apparently I'm looking for emotional catharsis in my music right now https://youtu.be/G5-KJgVsoUM
Last movie:
Glass Onion – which I've now had the fun of seeing both at the cinema and through Netflix. Definitely a film that rewards a rewatch as you start to notice all the things that were laid out right in front of you the first time round. Everyone making it seems to have had a whale of a time and it's amazing how much satisfaction I got out of that conclusion. Smashing glass can be something so personal you know?...
Currently reading:
The Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynne Jones – one day let me be this good at dryly nailing the ridiculous aspects of the things I enjoy while still having fun with them.
Currently watching:
The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions Appendices- because I've just moved into a flat by myself after living with other people for years, and those extras are the media equivalent of being snuggled under a warm blanket with a hot chocolate for me.
Currently consuming:
Cadbury's Wispa bites. There... really aren't many left now.
Currently craving:
Headspace? A lot of major things going on IRL right now and it'd be nice to have a bit less emotional and organisational heavy-lifting going on. Also, snow. Where I live seems to be one of the very few places in the UK not to have snow so far this winter, and I'd like to see some before the first spring bulbs come through!

Hey there :D
This is Santa anon again, you're probably starting to get used to it XD
I just realized that in my panic-induced message (by the way I am writing on computer right now and in my previous message, and I can't use my beloved emojis, I saying that because I don't want to sound cold :D), I did not answer most of the message you wrote, sorry about that ! I hope the situation at work and your club is better and you're not stressed too much. Thanks for the congrats on my thesis ! I am a language teacher, so I graduated in education sciences and didactics. I'll have the opportunity to work pretty much anywhere in the world I'm accepted into in the future, which is one of the reasons I like to learn about different cultures and I feel like it's something that has a lot of influence in how I write characters !
I have heard about Korean Odyssey but never watched it. If you like fantasy, I absolutely loved Tail of the Nine Tailed ! There's two seasons and the first one is romance but truthfully, everybody watched for the bromance, and the second season is basically just that LMAO ! You're right about Under the Queen's Umbrella ! Didn't expect to love it so much but I did. It is rare enough to see period dramas where the parents are actually good parents, and the relationships between the characters were so well developed ! I, for once, really loved the Queen, she is the one that drives this show and she is everything I love in a character. Yes, The Moon is sci-fi, about a guy stuck on the moon basically. Interestingly enough, I have never seen Interstellar though XD
I'm sorry your Santee has not answered your ask, that's tough. To be honest, my own Santee has not contacted me at all yet LMAO.
Sorry for the slight delay in response, I had a busy day yesterday and wanted to take a little time to properly think about the gift to see if it is in fact feasible on my part, which I have come to the conclusion that, yes, it is. Don't worry, you did not give me the impression I had to write a lot or anything, it's just that I like to develop characters a bit and would rather have few characters appearing but they have nice relationships, rather than a lot of them just being there for the sake of being there, which is why I panicked when you mentioned bromance because 1. I'm not sure how to write that and 2. I thought I had to include everybody and had a moment of light-headedness XD
For the deadline, because I have intense attention-deficit disorder (coupled with autism, yay XD) and (literally) take four times more time to do anything as others, I had to get to work early so I am sure I can have it done by the final deadline :D Also, it'll helps prevent any blank-page syndrome that might happen :D
So for the story, your message reassured me. I think I'll be able to pull off something you may like.
About the magic : I'll spend time on customs and people, and the way magic is woven into traditions. Rather than a weapon, I want to consider it as the way ancient civilizations viewed it, more as something that cannot be controlled, with a mind of its own (which is why I mentioned the Disney movie Pocahontas briefly, because spirits are a inherent part of the culture of many civilizations). There will be some lore, some legends. If you manage to escape a little to the little world I'll create, then it will be the best reaction to it I can imagine.
About the OC : I will do my utmost best to make her as Reader-unlike as possible. I do not want her to be a flat character, or someone who's decisions are totally unrelatable. I want her to be as human as possible, with her own strengths and doubts, her own biases, her own decisions. I also have observed a very clear shift in the way OCs are handled in the last 5 or 6 years, probably due to this Reader character that is meant to be as general as can be. Too bad, because I was able to read stories with formidable OCs a decade ago or so ! I also have taken a controversial decision with that, and I'm telling you now so you won't be surprised : story will be written in 1st person. Most people hate it but there is a reason I promise ! When I write a story, I almost always use 3rd person, like everybody else. As a consequence, my sentences become excruciatingly long (I am a native French speaker, and I don't think you're a native English speaker, so you must get that). I made a few trials with this story, and in the end, 1st person fits the narration better. Not because I want you to live the story through the OCs eyes, definitely not, but rather because I almost want you to consider the narrator as a friend, who's telling her own story as she's experienced it : you might not always agree with them, but ultimately, it doesn't make what they're telling you any less worth-listening.
About the romance : I read a lot of NSFW, and used to write it a long time ago, but there was never any NSFW intended in this story. To be honest, I'm not sure there will even be a kiss of any kind included LMAO. The most daring thing there will be will probably be some hand-holding and, at most, some wandering eyes. Nothing too extreme XD ! I rather want to focus on their emotional connection, and the steps they take towards each other. Not too different from a soulmate-trope actually, even though it will not be a soulmate story.
I have started some trials, and I think it will definitely be longer than 1k, and most likely longer than 4k or 5k. This is also why I wanted to start as soon as possible ! Plus, I'm not working these days so I'll have time to think about it. There will most definitely be a moodboard as well, those don't take me much time to do, and it you're curious about sources or anything, I'll give you the notes I used to write the story, they might as well be of use after I'm done !
I'm glad to learn we're not too apart in ages : you're 22 and I'm 25 :D
Have the best day,
Sincerely,
Santa anon ! :D
Hey there Santa! 🖤
Hiding the answer under the cut again :)
I hope you had a good start into the week ^~^
Don't worry about glossing over most parts in the previous message, I totally understand that you had other stuff on your mind. ^^' And actually you can use emojis on your computer! :) For Windows it's holding the windows button + . and for iOS it's Ctrl + Shift + Spacebar (i think, i don't have anything running on iOS). I'm typing out most of my responses on PC as well, because I'm afraid I'll lose track of the topics otherwise, haha.
Saddly the situation at work will go on for a while, but my team won't need to organize another game day until December - so yay to that!
Ooooh, being a language teacher sounds so cool! That also explains why you're so eloquent in your messages :) Do you have any specific area of the world in mind where you might want to work? I imagine setting up life in an entirely new country must be stressful - the bureaucracy alone seems a lot. ^^'
Tale of the Nine Tailed, noted! It certainly sounds right up my alley, haha ^^ Makes sense that the Queen is the MC of Under the Queens Umbrella. It's nice that the queen / mother figure isn't used as an easy villain figure for once. This definitely bumped the drama up my Netflix watchlist :) I highly recommend Interstellar if you're ever in the mood for scifi. It's really touching.
Oh wow, your Santa not reaching out is quite possibly even worse. At least I can see whether or not my Santee has been active or not ^^' Maybe my Santee is your Santa and they haven't had any time to be on Tumblr recently? Either way I hope they'll reach out to us soon. It'd be a pity to fall back on the prompts.
Don't worry about any "delayed" responses. Any adult responsibilities have priority, obviously. Besides, I need a few days to tackle long messages, so I don't expect you to immediately have the time or energy to respond either. I'm glad I didn't pressure you into anything :) Peace and love ✨✨
I'm happy you're putting so much energy into the relationships! I can't wait to read what you'll do to them :] And agreed, having to rope all 9 (or 11, depending on the perspective) members plus on OC into one cohesive story is always the struggle.
Mhm, yeah, I get you on wanting to start early. Pulling something creative out of your sleeve is hard enough as a neurotypical, nevermind the hardships that stack on top of that as someone neurodiverse. Although, idk about you, but sometimes having a deadline breathing down the neck is the only thing that kicks me out of my procrastination phase. :')
I'm very much looking forward to your magic interpretation! I feel like magic has most commonly become a tool to the characters in most stories. I'll eat right out of your hand (so to speak) for the more mythical approach!
I think it's cool that you include an OC the longer I think about it, actually. Complex OCs have really become few and far in fanfiction, I'm ready to feel like in the golden age of fanfic again, haha :) I can feel the passion you put in every message (not just on the OC topic, but also in general) and I really appreciate it. Seems like the OC will be in good hands.
I am actually not opposed to the first person perspective at all :) My prefered reading style is third person, but I have come across a few novels that pull it off really well. I look forward to hearing the OC tell their story :] And yes, coming from German as a mothertongue, I absolutely get accidentally writing down sentences that span way longer than they have any right to be ^^' Are you from France, btw, or a different French speaking nation?
Oh, yeah, I also do read NSFW, I just wasn't sure what you had in mind and felt like this might not be the right time and place for it. Props to you for actually writing some yourself, though. I always used to cringe to hard at my stuff and thus could never finish it ^^' But what you've described sounds very vanilla, so I'm not worried, haha :D
I can't wait to glimpse at the notes you'll have taken. Seeing something grow and change in the process of creation is always so cool! :) And 4 / 5k already sound a lot, wow ^^'
Oh yeah, we are pretty close in age! I feel like you can never guess how old EXO-Ls are. Most tend to be in their (late) twenties, but apparently there's an EXO stan in my brothers class (17 y/o), too? I've given up trying to guess our fandoms age range ^^'
I hope I didn't miss answering anything 0-0
Have a wonderful day / night! And sorry for the delayed response again ^^'
xoxo Ju

Thanks for asking! The Writers Guild of America is still on strike and has been for 70+ days. (For historical context, the 2007-08 strike was about 100 days.) The actors' guild, SAG-AFTRA, has gone on strike as of 2 days ago.
For the duration of their strikes, WGA and SAG-AFTRA members will not work on or promote any material from the struck companies, which are the studios represented by the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers: think Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Universal, Disney, Paramount, and so on.) That means that the studios are going to run out of shows and films to release in the coming months, hopefully leading them to resolve their issues and negotiate a fair contract.
What's at stake in the negotiations? The WGA clearly laid out everything they were negotiating for (read here), but it boils down to lack of fair compensation and exploitative work practices. There's also the AI issue, which could see the studios trying to replace human labor with AI in some form.
SAG-AFTRA is under a lot of the same pressures: studios are underpaying, and now wanting to scan actors and use their digital likeness instead of actually hiring human beings for their labor. Imagine a world where instead of stories by people, you get GPT-generated regurgitation, and instead of real human actors you get CGI avatars. That's a pretty depressing state of the arts and entertainment industry, but it's where the studios are going in order to maintain profits at all costs.
Where are we at now? Looking at the possibility of a long strike. A news story came out recently where an anonymous studio executive said the studio strategy was to starve writers out. That's undeniably cruel to the very people who create the value in the industry. And all this while CEOs of the studios are making 50 to 250 million dollars a year!
In the meantime, fans and audiences should show our support vocally to put pressure on the studios and to keep morale among the unions high. Lots of people are out of jobs—not just the picketing writers and actors, but also support staff and crew whose livelihoods are affected by the production delays. If possible, donate to the Entertainment Community Fund or the Green Envelope mutual aid fund to get financial support to those most affected by the strike.
If you can't give financially, boost those links, post on social media, encourage union members to keep going, and keep morale high! If you're located in New York or Los Angeles, you can even join the physical picket line; there are locations listed on the WGA website here.
Also, be sure not to spread misinformation! Get your info straight from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA accounts or websites, or look for sources on people's posts or videos. We're always happy to fact-check and cite our sources too, so feel free to message us if you found something related to the strike you're unsure of. Solidarity!
hey can anyone summarize what’s going on with the wga strike? i’m really confused and i want to know what’s going on so i can support properly!

Better late than never...
With all the delays in bringing internet to the new place I’m only getting around to this weeks after it’s been and gone for everyone else, but thank you @sunshine304 for tagging me, always nice to get to know people better :)
Also, snow. Where I live seems to be one of the very few places in the UK not to have snow so far this winter, and I'd like to see some before the first spring bulbs properly come through!

Creator reader who is Aether and Lumine’s big sibling or parent? They come to check on Teyvat after not finding their siblings in various other worlds they made and are not happy with the sustainer of heavenly principles.
So they grab the traveler while also adopting Paimon, then go straight to the Abyss and get the abyss twin and say “time to go fix this MESS”
so then they go find Dain and say “these are my siblings/kids I’m sorry for whatever trouble they may cause because they’re clever and resourceful. Anyways if you could babysit them I’d love that just call my name if you need anything” they of course tell him their name and stuff
then go off to get all of the archons and go tear Celestia a new one because of how many lives they ruined.
So they topple Celestia and take over so they can make things genuinely better for Teyvat and the abyss alike.
At this point Dain has had to deal with the twins and Paimon for about half a day when reader comes back and says “thanks for babysitting, I know it was sudden but I’m also doing stuff to fix the last 5 centuries”
So then Dain now has a family again because reader decides to say ‘screw it’ and let their simping get the better of them
This is so long I’m sorry I just want it to be organized 😭
Ok, first ,every religion has a "Creation of the universe in the way that we see it", and many of them begin with a couple. From them , Creator, Aether, and Lumine started to exist (Creator as the creator of everything, and the twins as the stars).
Now, in this scenario, the Creator is a pretty chill God. They aren't even intimidating or anything, they just like to create, make new stuff, and OOOOH they love humans! What a masterpiece they could have achieved! Now, their relationship with the twins is a simple one. They care for each other and, since they are still too young to become full gods, the Creator gives them the full freedom that they could have, letting them explore various worlds, see more people, and have fun, as long as they don't create any trouble, of course.
Lumine: Y/N! We found a new and funny world! Y/N: Is that so? So, how was it? Aether: It was colorfull! With a lot of life! And there was this strange creature, similar to a ball, that ate stuff and took its power from that thing! Y/N:...What?
So, at some point, the Creator decides to have fun like their siblings and explore a little. A more than well-earned vacation! I mean, they make up all of Teyvat. They are exhausted! They don't exactly give all power to the Archons, just enough to not let things slip, and to make sure that, if things go bad, they can tell the sustainer of heavenly principles...Because they are the only one that can contact them.
And that was a terrible idea.
When the Creator got back (imagine in the same way as Merlin in the Disney movie, dress up just like him), they found out that their siblings were gone. For the same reason that there was an Archon war and many of them were gone, there was a huge cataclysm and many nations that they likee were RIPPED OFF from Teyvat.
Y/N: I 'literally' left for a few years! What happened?!* Zhongli:..Well, you better sit down for this... it can be quite overwhelming. Venti: In our defends... we tried. Y/N: Who the hell are you? Zhongli: It's the Anemo Archon, your grace, Barbatos. Y/N: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER? Zhongli:..As I was saying, you may sit for this one.
Did you ever leave a blog with a few people and come back to find that everything you had done had to be redone? Yeah, that's the feeling.
The first thing you do is take back your sibling, the traveler. It's not a problem; they are the ones that came back first to you. The abyss one is quite problematic, but it's not like you can't try to do something right and resolve what the other gods have made. Not to mention that, when you left, you noticed this nation that prospered without the aid of a divine power, and you were quite optimistic and interested in their work! So yeah, you are quite pissed.
Once you found out the last of the fallen kingdom, you humbly apologized and promised to do the right thing. Imagine the faces of Dain and Kaeiya. They knew that the gods are strange, but you are quite the subject!
Y/N: Okay, I'm going to deal with the susteiner and stuff. Still, I know I can't bring back all of the kingdom. But at least I can reverse the curse that was imposed on your people. Dainsleif:I'ts..already enough, you gr- Y/N: You can just call me Y/N. And don't thank me, this is the least thing i can do for your people.
After having dealt with all of this stuff, it's time to deal with the seven (the Archons are cool, but you need to speak to them about some of their behaviour) and the other gods that still live in Celestia (that is technically your house btw). Let's just say that it's time to downsize the number of deities, especially the ones that had a lot of fun mistreating mortals, so you stripped them of their power and now they have to live with them (LOL serve you right). One day, a giant throne will be thrown from the island in the sky. You don't need that thing, so you replaced it with a desk, which is far more comfortable and useful.
Y/N: Shit, I hope this thing still moves... Venti..move? Y/N: Well yeah, Celestia move in the sky...it rotate you know? It follows the- Venti: It moves?! But... why?! Y/N: A more favorable viewpoint! If you wish to see clearly, you must go to the higher ground! Venti:So, it's not a metaphor about the insignificance of the ones that live under it? Y/N:...WHAT?! NOOOU! I even have a control room there!
Finally, things started to get better. You fixed all the mess, and now you have to look after your rebuilt world. It's a mess, it's not simple, but you have a lot of new helpers that wish to be useful. Especially Dainsleif!
He had noticed that you don't show the same characteristics as the other gods; you are... human. Capable of admitting mistakes and that your downfall was due to misplaced trust, but yet you didn't give up and fix what you needed to be saved. He can't see you as his god, not to mention that you don't want to. More like a friend.
