I will not tolerate hate of any kind of hate on my dash. Anyone partaking in sending hate, slandering someone in any shape or form, and perpetuating drama, as well as vagueing, will be instantly blocked. This also applies to anyone creating callout posts that hold no proof but hearsay. And I will not, under any circumstances, reblog a callout post, so don't bother asking me to do so.

I’m very opened to ships as this blog is multiship. In fact, I love them! That being said, I retain the right to be selective on who I ship Nanno with. I’m always looking for chemistry first. But don’t feel intimidated by that! Sometimes the spark happens at the least expected moments! I will not write any smut on this blog, as while Nanno is clearly much older (she doesn't age), she still passes as a 16/17 year old.

I am slow. Especially at the moment, as my health has been on the decline the last few months. I can take a day, or a month to reply, but know it does not ever indicate how much I like a thread. I go by inspiration in that moment I'm sitting at the computer. I prefer quality over quantity. Sometimes I can write novels, other times, hardly anything.

I practice mains, and I'm giving exclusives another try. However, earning exclusivity is difficult, I won't lie. I need to know you well and trust you. It's something that has burned me in the past and I'd like not to repeat that. For now, since this blog is very new, I have no mains or exclusives.

Hello there.

I know you are feeling a bit down but...would it be possible to give us a list of the DI5 infected monsters that's been hunting the fractions down? So we know what we know so far?

((Oh, hello. I guess I can give a list of the infected and the types. Though, I do have some things to add or maybe reactions? I don't know but anyway, here is your list. Tagging @demon-blood-youths since muses are part of this Au so if she was curious, here is some new updated information.))

~DI5 demons (First stage)

These creatures were once demons that was bitten by another infected demon. They are infected within the first 5 hours. One will know they are infected with the area being slightly red with the bite marks. The following will happen within the new few days:

*Days for infection/progress through changes*

1st day: bitten area will be swollen or red as it heals. The demon bitten will still be okay but area will or might start getting irritated and itchy.

2nd-4th day: the area has healed but red veins will be seen showing they are infected for a short period of time. Extra teeth will start showing/growing on 3rd day. The red veins disappear on the 4th day.

5th-10th day: In between these days, blood cravings will start to kick in. First urge is painful and will result in the infected attacking or biting another demon

12th day: Will or may need to either get demon blood in before losing themselves to the hunger or bloodlust. Demon blood tablets were made to help with cravings. However, blood from another demon is also strong.

They seem normal far away but up close their skin is a different tint of color, eyes are glowing a darker shade of their own color. When bitten, has the following abilities:

~Able to turn another demon to another infected by biting only. Theirs been no report of scratching that spreads infection yet.

~Has extra set of sharp teeth that makes a strong venom that once bitten it infects them through their blood. Goes through a day cycle during the changing process even if it's slow. The more bites you have from one, the higher chances it will cause the change to speed up.

~Physical traits has increased in strength, hearing and sight has increased in strength

~Can climb buildings while hunting for prey or others to turn, can seen a lot more better in the dark at night. Tends to stay hidden during the day though but some do come out to hunt.

~DI5 demons (Second stage)

Within 12 hours, infection has started showing some side effects/changes to the demon that was bitten. Bite area is no longer showing red veins or swelling but now has other effects:

Stomach pain/cramps due to not having/eating demon blood. This has adapted so now they can have any type of blood. Being human, demon, or other creatures.

Body aches (Trying to fight infection leads to this and tends to be painful the longer the demon fights it.)

Fever to sweating slightly. (Not much is reported but it's common or seen. Tends to lead to chills and shaking of the body.)

Sudden behavior changes (Sometimes, infected tends to attack another of their own kind if one is either adapting or becomes weaker to losing to the infection. Right away, they are killed in the process by the aggressive infected demons. Or even Feral around others that's not infected or is. Sometimes tends to have nightmares or visions due to it or what the brain is effected thanks to the virus.)

Body changes (Tends to get sharp talon nails or sharper teeth. Eyes remain the same but it's been recorded some might have new eye colors of blood red, gold, and dark blue. Only a few were seen with these changes)

Mating/marking (something like in the omegaverse), very possessive of other if they are either bond to them. This happens if a demon or human is that infected blood giver. For a while, if they drink only that one's blood they would only want theirs and no one else. Reports say primal and other urges are seen during this so it's advised to know them. Behavior will changed along with needs and urges for that bonded other/mate.

Increased strength in Power, demonic power. (This will increase their strength but they will be more dangerous depending. Might end up giving into blood urges but can be calmed down or stopped by blood giver or side medicine (demon blood tablets)

~DI5 demons (Third stage)

Within 24 hours or more, the demon is fully now heavily infected where the increase for blood is tripled. It's said when this happens they have the need to either claim their blood giver for themselves, becomes more aggressive around other infected. Is more protective of that one and it's allies. Although most are now in this state others that were not so lucky turned or adapted to the infection.

Their own demon blood has either adapted to the infection and became one with that demon. For now, the few that has turned or is still sane are safe. While others who lost their will to the madness has become mindless and hungry for blood and others to infect.

It's also been said, humans now can become infected after the increased adaption of the new strain found within the DI5 infection. On about 78% that's human will either turn while the rest of of the percentage shows the human dying due to the strain.

Update information: Right now, their is a cure being worked on but no results have shown just yet. This remains unknown.......

However, this Virus has spread outside of NYC territory to outside of NYC Report says it's been seen in Philly(Philadelphia), New Jersey, and Yokohoma, japan, and other cases have been seen popping up.

~~Different types of infected Recorded~~

Regular DI5 infected: The first few that was released into NYC to spread the virus to any other demon. This has spread within 24 hours and now is over run in the city. The main ones were killed but the infection has already spread by them.

Population of infected demons: 100% of NYC

Di-H (Infectious predator): Infected hunter demons that is seen either running on two feet or all fours. Behaves like a wild animal ready to strike to infect or kill whoever is not infected. Their appearance has changed from looking more ghoulish like beasts. While some remain human like walking around their mind still thinks like a wild animal.

Population of infected: 98% within NYC

DI5 adapted: Infected humans that's roaming the streets within packs or by a few people of 3-5. They tend to hunt around looking for food or other humans to either turn or kill. Theirs not a lot of them in NYC since most are either in hiding or in safe houses all over.

They tend to make hidden dark underground burrows where most of the infected brings prey and uninfected people or demons to feed off of later. These burrows are under NYC but you can avoid it by seeing the hidden caps that hide the deep dark cave in holes.

Population of adapted infected: 34% within NYC and increasing rapidly

Population of healthy humans: 29% within NYC but decreasing slowly and steady

Population of Healthy demons and other creatures: 48% within NYC but decreasing rapidly

DI5 Lurker demons: These ones are not seen in packs but is well known for ganging up on lonely travelers that tends to try attacking prey when near. Most have already claimed a few so far or has infected others that come in their territories. Most are seen in subways, hidden tunnels, dark alleyways, or other places that's dark. It's strongly advised to travel in groups.

Population of DI5 lurker demons: 84% hidden within NYC

Sky jackers: demons that only has the ability to fly to have a 57% chance of their infection having a evolution strain change. This is a infected that's able to fly through the skies of dark NYC to look for prey and unfortunate people to snatch up. They don't fly in packs as much but theirs been sightings of some that do.

Population of Sky Jackers: 27% in the skies or hidden within NYC

Mutated DI5: Theirs not a lot of these types but some are rare to find. Their bodies go through different changes that helps with their power or gift. It's strongly advised to keep away from these types.

Population of Mutated: 10% within or hidden in NYC/most was killed

DI5-B/Were type: Demons or other creatures having animal traits of some kind while infected. They go through very different changes that makes them look even more demonic or ghoulish. Theirs a decent number of these types of infected but tends to hunt in packs.

Population of DI5-B/Were types: 74% within NYC

DI5 **** ***** [Redacted information]

Population of DI5 **** *****: Unknown but guessed of just only 10 roaming within NYC, 6 in Philly, and 9 in Yokohoma japan.

Hunters: Theirs not much information about these people wearing army body armor like clothing, dark helmets that has a covering face shield to cover their faces but they follow the orders of the two that started this. Dr. Doctor Hashmar and Scientist Dr. Mart K and Scientist Tabatha Jones. They are hidden but gives orders to find more test subjects to test out this new infection.

Population of these hunters: Unknown but has been seen through out NYC and Outside of NYC

Ornate-7 didn’t start as an Exo, of course, no no, he started as a young, budding Biologist, flourishing under the light of the Traveler by the name of Elijah Hamish. A bookish little thing, he read and studied everything he could, sometimes, at great risk to his own being, but always with great results.

Unfortunately, learning comes at a cost- and Elijah couldn’t pay. Or at least, he couldn’t pay until he was offered a choice. Be stuck paying loans for the rest of his natural life, or-

Or become an Exo, and pay it off in his unnatural existance.

Naturally, the idea of being an Exo appealed, considering he could study long as most were gone. And so Elijah was no more, and Ornate-7 came into being. As his name might suggest, for a long while, he was an Ornament for the most part, a lovely teal and gold thing that looked nice and did little. On the surface. In reality, he was well beyond trained as a Bodyguard for his ‘owners’, a covert thing meant to eavesdrop in plain sight.

And then the Darkness hit again, and- nothing. Ornate-7 died. And his Ghost found him after.

The rest? The rest is history- very much literally, because Ornate only remembers his name, due to the messages in his HUD.

Ornate-7, affectionately refered to as ‘Orb’, is a curious being at heart. If there’s a portal, he is the sort to jump through before he leaps. If there’s a switch to pull, he pulls it.

He’s kind, though, for all his research, people oriented for a Warlock, and less inclined to hole himself up, moreso preferring to go out and discover things for himself. ..sometimes, by putting rocks in his mouth.

GETTING TO KNOW THE MUN

FACECLAIM: I don't have one of those! Do...do I need one?

LAST SONG YOU LISTENED TO: Bad Guy cover by Vitamin String Quartet

FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN: Oh, geeze, I can't really pick a favourite? They all kind of hold a special place in my heart and fond memories. One I really miss is Lionnet, who is currently a mute Elezen lancer/dragoon, but due to a lot of things, I never really got a chance to level him or do anything with him. He's been around in various versions for a long, long time.

I'm honestly really fond of my current main, Jax, though. He's been around a while in a few forms too and I really enjoy his story, his crew, and the little "world" I've built around him.

GETTING TO KNOW THE ACCOUNT:

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON THIS MUSE: What inspired Jax, in his current rendition, was funny enough a combination of missing his version from SWTOR, loving Ishgard, and wanting a character of a specific type for a few reasons. Funny enough, Jax basically "did what he wanted" and totally developed in an entirely different direction than I intended. He was supposed to be a lot more of a bad boy, a borderline 'bad guy' really, and be just this very much 'piratey' character.

He did not end up that way at all. I intended him to be a "new twist on an old character" but he ended up gravitating more toward his original version, although unique in his own ways. So I just went with it and I like what came out of it.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE: I really enjoy Jax's socialness, his caring toward others, his big heart and the fact he has a good sense of humor.

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING: Probably music when I can have a quiet room and turn on something to enjoy. Sadly, not getting much "alone" time with the house being busy and fostering kittens right now, but I got back into tumblr recently to try and get back into the swing of writing since I hadn't in a long time.

FAVOURITE TYPES OF THREADS: Another of those hard-to-say ones. I enjoy ones where all the characters get a chance to shine and it doesn't feel too one-sided. I don't mind giving someone the spotlight, of course, but I also don't want to feel like my character is being used an extra or a sidekick or something for the 'more important' story. So basically stories/interactions where I feel like my presence matters as much as the other person's.

Slice-of-life where Jax gets to be relaxed and friendly are a lot of fun too, but I also love intimate (emotionally, not necessarily physically) interactions where we get to see a lot of the insight and emotion of the characters.

I also can't say no to 'adventuring shenanigans' that are a mixture of fun, jokes, and getting to show off our characters doing what they do best, whatever that might be.

Do they have any pet peeves?

Sparrow used to do occasional scribe work. I think if he was working on this one particular page & the parchment kept coming undone and trying to curl up no matter how many times he fixed it, that would destroy him psychologically a little. I feel like small annoyances can build into big things pretty quickly sometimes, with Sparrow, especially if he feels trapped in some way and doesn’t have the option to just remove himself from the situation & do something else.

Rook is like. Rather than being someone with a critical streak, it’s more that he’s a critic who has the occasional streak of another thing. He’s intentional enough to usually avoid believing his critical thoughts as fact in an automatic and unquestioning way, but his internal monologue definitely gives him a lot of information about things that ‘should’ be done better or differently. He’s the most harsh with himself, of course.

Their comfort read? (could be a book, magazine, comics, etc)

From an answer to an earlier meme:

Sparrow projects onto female characters in the absence of nonbinary characters that fit his vibe more exactly. Books and stories grab his attention when a female mc is powerful, wants things, and is maybe a little bit feral, even if she hides it well. She doesn’t have have noble morals, and she doesn’t have to win; there are tragedies he wouldn’t enjoy, but tragedies he very much would. He’s drawn by dark & intense themes bc like, he’s working through some things.

Rook likes history and nonfiction. He doesn’t like to introspect and thinks less naturally in terms of ‘like/want’ & more naturally in terms of function; nonfiction has a very clear and straightforward function. You read the book, you get the information. He would be in an uncomfortable position if he read a fiction book and felt moved by the story in a way that conflicted anything in his carefully constructed sense of identity (and he is not sentimental). He isn’t scared of fiction, but eh. There’s nothing in there he wants to get badly enough that it’s worth the mess.

If the book they are reading turns out to be shit, do they push through just for the sake of finishing it, or do they move on and find something else?

It depends on the book, and it depends on what in particular turned out to be shit. If something about the book is dramatically insulting to something Sparrow really cares about, he’s more likely to drop it than keep reading, either to try and enjoy it anyway or to hate read. If the book just isn’t that interesting or just isn’t that well written, he might keep reading just so he has closure on the investment he put into it. He likes to read, so he’s more likely to keep reading if he doesn’t have a lot of options. I feel like Rook might be the opposite? If a book he’s reading turns insulting he might just be like “hmm, we disagree (fortunately I am very large & near invincible)” and keep reading. If the book isn’t interesting, he isn’t sentimental enough to want to ‘pay the cost’ of learning what happens. Now I’m imagining a situation where Rook puts down a boring book & Sparrow picks it up bc they share a headspace & the book caught his interest just enough for him to want to know what happens (and then one day Rook gets sick of this shit & picks up the book & flips to the end & reads the ending).

Their comfort tv show / film

I think L.ilo & S.titch could be a comfort film for a verse where Sparrow is living in a modern setting. Stitch has to figure out how to be a person after being created to be a tool. As the entire galaxy goes nuts over Stitch’s prescribed identity as a purpose, and as all of the humans are quick to put new unflattering labels on Stitch, L.ilo is the one who gives Stitch permission to start to figure himself out. It’s like, the kind of story Sparrow needs to hear. Plus the painting backgrounds would remind Sparrow of home.

Rook wouldn’t consider something a comfort movie, but there are a lot of M.arvel movies he would like. Lot of stories about superheroes trying to figure out what it means to do the right thing in a complicated situation, and the tone is light enough for it to be a reassuring experience to watch the movie overall.

A song that is currently stuck in their head? (or multiple)

Mmmaybe C.ardigan by T.aylor S.wift. It’s not a song I associate with Sparrow because it’s about him in some way, but it is a song that he would probably decide that he likes, in the way people can like things without the thing being like, one of their theme songs.

The next three questions are for you. do you have anything special in common with your character.

All of my characters have deep things in common with me. Sparrow is deeply sensitive, spiritual, and has a strong personal commitment to not abusing power over other people. Rook is really critical, but he’s also committed to things he cares about. He gets nearly paralyzed sometimes by trying to figure out what he actually wants or what is actually good after considering everything he’s ‘supposed’ to want and how hard it would be to go against the ‘supposed to.’ Sparrow is more of a ‘looking forward’ kind of character, for what could be possible, Rook is a more ‘looking back’ kind of character, at the practical side of things and the messy reality and the question of how to make honorable choices in a reality like that. They’re both really important to me!

What brings you the most joy about writing this character, right now?

Writing L.othric and now Sparrow has been my invitation to myself to tolerate less of the intolerable. Sparrow isn’t an exact image of a person I literally want to be, but he has qualities that I write about bc I want to develop them better for myself through getting to know him. Right now in particular, I’m still carrying bittersweet joy about being able to breathe life into OCs after writing D.ark S.ouls characters for so long. Sometimes when I look through the rp tags I see rpers with H.arry P.otter muses who say they’re ‘anti jkr’, and I wish it was that easy for me to signal that I’m going to engage with a story I still feel things about, but I do not want to approach it as an enthusiastic fan. Ultimately, the OC route is just more valuable because I can own everything I come up with, so it’s a change for the better all things considered. But I wish that it wasn’t so normal for a story to be like, ‘the final boss is a disabled person who was bratty for not wanting to be abused, so hunt him for sport or whatever’ & then a fandom springs around that like ‘this is content! playful irreverence!’ to the point where talking about things more deeply feels like intruding.

Who would win in a fight, you or them?

Oh, them, definitely, Rook and Sparrow would win individually or working together.

Any advice from your muse?

I think he’d say that he’s a made up person, you’re a real person. If he seems powerful because he can do magic and he’s stubborn and makes these daring changes to his life, it’s nothing compared to the power that a real breathing person has. You can do more than him by picking up a leaf off the ground. I think he’d say that maybe it’s easy for people to forget that sometimes, when it comes to any fictional character who’s aspirational in some way.

What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on):I had 6 single muse blogs and was fed up with having to switch accounts all the time. It´s different to have them all in one place, but fun. And so much more stressfree!

What are your favourite aspects of your current muse: All of them carry traits I wish I had, or have to deal with struggles or trauma I sorta kinda deal with myself, in a way. I feel related to aspects in all of them, in one way or another.

What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: Spitballing ideas and headcanons with partners. Listening to playlists. Getting tagged in inspo stuff for our muses/threads.

Favourite types of threads: Drama with a happy ending. Skinny love. Falling for one another against all circumstances or intentions.

Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: Right now I still feel very refreshed from starting over with this blog, so none yet. The only real struggle is my restricted writing time. On the other hand, I´m not someone to churn out replies daily, either. I need a day or two to recover my writing mojo.

It’s not easy since I’m American and I have to hear about this regardless of how hard I try not to. But I’d really like it if you could keep it away from rping. Thanks.)

I will rp NSFW (Mostly violence. Smut isn’t common but will be tagged/put under a read more if it happens. And even if it does, I prefer it to be with muns I trust and for it be as clean as possible.)

I’m okay with romantic relationships (but there needs to be chemistry. Bill is not an easy person to love)

Reply length: I am not very good with writing long replies. Let alone super long like paragraphs. However sometimes I can write long ones if I’m in the mood and can actually think of a lot to write. Typically I just try to have more than one sentence written out. But when it comes to an ask, those tend to be short because I have no idea if anyone wants to turn that into an rp. So if you do, either tell me or move it to a separate text post.

I’m mostly a just wing it rper and I don’t always make starters. But feel free to message me if you’d like to plot. I also rp based on my mood. Some days I may not be feeling certain muses and I’m sorry. Also real life stuff can be stressful at times and I tend to play games or listen to music to relax. I’m also an artist so I may draw too.

Please don’t pressure me about replies. I am trying to get to them as best I can.

Sometimes I’ll drop threads without warning. However it’s not usually on purpose as most of the time I’m trying to come up with a good response. Not everything is going to be an instant reply. I like to think of something if it’s a more thought provoking thread. Sometimes the reply might be long. Sometimes not.

I enjoy Hazbin Hotel content. I’m sorry if it makes you uncomfortable but please don’t harass me about it. Just because I enjoy the characters and story, it does not make me a bad person and I am not going to waste my breath on people who only want to be jerks over it.

The way I portray Bill is a bit kinder than what most people may be used to. I am often anxious about how others will react to this but I felt the need to point out that mine is more of an angsty mess than just flat out heartless. He’ll also make a mention of Will here and there. This is mostly due to the close connection my Bill had with another person’s Will but I love the idea of the two being close. (Be it like brothers or even romantic)

This is just more of something I want to point out. I tend to rp Bill in a humanoid form, even if he’s in the mindscape and it’s more of a dream body. As I have no idea how to rp a triangle and I’ve been doing this type of form for a few years now.

Because I feel like it may not be very clear and I’m never sure of what to tag. The fact of the matter is, Bill is a dark character. So dark themes will be present. Especially psychological ones. I’ll still tag things like suicidal stuff and if it happens, smut, (though that’s not very likely unless I trust the mun and even then it’s got to be clean enough)

This one kind of falls in with the above. Bill is a villain and has abusive tendencies. Even if he forms a close relationship. He will try to restrain himself for a loved one but some aggression is to be expected. I guess a way to look at it is that Bill has Yandere habits with those he cares for. My version of Bill can be gentle but he has limits.

Shipping: I love ships. Can be platonic, romantic, etc.

UPDATE:

One: I have thought this over in the past. But now more than ever I’ve decided to add this into my rules.

I AM NOT A MEME RESOURCE. Please reblog memes/sentence starters from the original source. The only exception is if the source is deleted or can’t be found. If you reblog from me but don’t send me at least one thing in return, then don’t bother. The second exception is my friends. I don’t mind if they reblog from me. The third exception being that if you’re on mobile a lot or mobile only. I know it can be hard to find sources sometimes because of that. But I would PREFER if you sent me at least one thing instead of reblogging memes or sentence starters all the time.

Two: I am fine with Bill x older Dipper and Bill x older Mabel. But they MUST be 21 or older. I would say 18 like I have in the past but a lot of people seem to have issues with that as it’s still in the teens. Besides it makes rping drinking and possibly drug use (if your muse does either) easier to do since they’d be fully grown adults.

Three: This is more of just me wanting to speak on it. But I feel it needs to be said. Please don’t make your muse already know that Bill is bad or that he’s no good without much interaction. A bad feeling is fine but Bill is a master manipulator and I’d really like for people to remember that. Your muse can get bad feelings and feel suspicious but unless it’s someone from canon or a muse he’s been around for long enough, it’s not fair to throw him under the bus when they don’t actually know anything. The exceptions can be if your muse meets a Ford or one of the Pines and they talk about Bill. Or if they speak with some of the denizens from Gravity Falls. Other than that, they would only have information gathered from rumors.

Anything that would actually be on file would either be the Time Police or people from worlds affected by Bill. The most accurate stuff would be the Time Police though. And even then, top secret. So don’t just say your muse has something unless they have good connections. Even that has it’s limits but I also don’t want to just say the muses can’t have anything at all. Especially if they work for a government of some kind. That would be about the only way they could get something solid. Especially since Bill these days is presumed dead and gone.

Four: I work 5 days a week and even though it’s part time, sometimes I’m just too tired/sore to get to much during the week. I’ll try to get replies and stuff done but big stuff is usually best saved for the weekends. And Friday if I can manage that.

I understand if people have anxiety issues. So you can send me Just Gold or tell me you’ve read my rules. I’ll usually assume people who interact with me have but I like to be sure.

Healing flesh is already a difficult feat. Much, much harder when one has been burned all the way to the bone.

My favorite muse(s) of theirs and why

Aw man. I can’t pick between your muses like this. I love all the ones I’ve interacted with and the ones I haven’t are so cool. But I think someone might get mad at me if I don’t pick Zelda... I think Emry is a close second tho.

I like that Zelda has clear flaws. I’m not a fan of characters that don’t. Like sure it’s nice that they’re all nice n stuff but it’s much more satisfying that she has flaws but is still good in other ways. She’s still a good person. I think that’s much nicer.

Emry. I mean what’s not to like? He’s a goofy guy and a good friend ( who I need to interact with more. I’ll be bringing that thread with all the band bbs *wink wink* ). A lot of people focus on their angst ( heh heh... ) so it’s a nice relief you know?

Okay I love all of them but I gotta say that stuff with Aeron and Felix was good. Even better was the stuff with Zelda and Felix. That was gold right there.

I love that they each have a particular unique element that stands out for their character, whether personality or background. There’s something that really defines how they fit for me to understand them.

I like that you really set up the scene. Somehow I’m just able to picture it all and in the center of it is your character, reacting to it even without saying it in dialogue. Does that make sense?

Are they underrated? YES / NO / IDK. [ make no mistake - pit’s got fans and plenty of them but he’s so MISTREATED by the fandom. his character is a lot more complex than he gets credit for and smash bros in particular is a big reason people think he’s just Big Dumb Baby Man ]

Were they relevant for the main story? YES / NO. [ HE’S THE MAIN CHARACTER, THE CENTRAL FIGURE UPON WHOM THE NARRATIVE IS STRUCTURED AROUND, YEAH HE’S PRETTY RELEVANT. Uprising is literally made to tell the story of a war exclusively through the perspective of a single side and Pit (and Palutena) are the EMBODIMENT of that whole side. ]

Were they relevant for the main character? YES / NO / THEY’RE THE PROTAG. [ and a perfect one at that. he’s literally a perfect protagonist don’t tell me i’m wrong cause i’m not ]

Are they widely known in their world? YES / NO. [ pit is beloved by humans... and mocked by the Gods. seen by most as a spineless extension of palutena’s will, most “respect” of any variety goes to palutena while he gets treated as a joke 99% of the time... and it’s not like Palutena gets too much respect either ]

How’s their reputation? GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL. (????) [ Uhhhhhh... it’s an odd one. Short answer is that Pit’s a good samaritan who’s done a lot of good BUT most of the gods think protecting humanity is a Folly and a Joke and that Pit’s just a pawn of Palutena’s and while the humans do hold a lot of respect for him, uh............. let’s just say, some humans on the surface have reasons not to be too happy with him. ]

How strictly do you follow canon? — about as much as I need to to respect one of my favorite video games of all time. while kid icarus uprising is a comedic game most of the way through it has a lot more nuance and depth to itself, its world, and its characters than one can see at first glance, even after a full playthrough. if you let yourself get invested in the characters, take a closer look at the dialogue it provides, and acknowledge the central, core storytelling message of the game for what it is, there’s a lot more to pull out than one would think. that being said, it’s still a comedic video game and one that I think could use some more expansion. though the game is inconsistent there seems to be the consensus that pit is like a child and I’m not into that, mine’s a bit more showing in his cynical and snarky side after all he’s been through and overall there’s a lot of expansion on the base while building it into something unique.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals. — imagine your typical bootstrapped anime protagonist. someone who, when younger, was a runt who couldn’t meet the expectations of others, was looked down on, and found himself crushed and hurt and near-killed by a great tragedy that he was forced to claw his way out of to make himself stronger. Now imagine all of that with a character who comes out still able to have a very real smile and ultimately comes out of it a self-assured, chipper goofball with a good heart. now put that together with all of the darkness and depth you would have expected to be there, but scattered realistically throughout the attitude of someone who does genuinely want to keep a positive attitude. someone who is sincerely an optimist who’s grown past his weaker days, but isn’t quite so simple as he’d like to believe. all of that combined with someone who can’t read, is willing to eat ice cream off the floor in times of duress, is extremely easy to fluster and can channel his goddess’ power to slay GODS? you got one strong man.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?). — his positive attitude is what most people will see when speaking to him, because for what it’s worth, he’s not actively lying about his depth. he’s a cheerful, jovial man with a big smile and a love of the world around him - which is all well and good, but his depth is something you have to find, even if it is reasonably clear if you’re willing to look. he’s also portrayed as a bit unreasonably dumb at times, and though I personally justify the worst of it with proper explanations, I can understand reducing some of the value of the character in favor of seeing all of his Jokes

What inspired you to rp your muse? — i made my original pit blog, flightlesswarrior, on a total whim after playing kid icarus uprising. cute character, fun premise, why not? but over time, and with numerous plots I was able to take part in exploring the serious, not so serious, shipping, tragedy, and going back through the game to keep my muse rolling, it occurred to me more and more with time just how nuanced and interesting pit and co. really are. pit embodies many of the things i really, truly love in a protag, falling firmly on the side of good, having a heart of genuine gold, and having nuances and parts of his personality that are less than savory without making him seem like a contradiction. he’s got depth, he’s got story, there’s a lot to explore and flesh out... and he’s also just a nice, friendly guy who gets along well with others. plus, i’m drawn to dorks.

What keeps your inspiration going? — a) love for Kid Icarus: Uprising. a game that helped me gain a deeper and more insightful understanding of character development, subtle storytelling, optimism still tinged with legitimate and healthy cynicism, and overall something that changed my understanding of character development and storytelling forever. and b) spite. the fandom treats him like an idiot baby and smash DOES NOT help matters so i have to remind others that he is a veteran of a war, a socially inept loser with few real friends, and someone who’s kindness and optimism was shaped and molded by its hardships in a way that doesn’t require a near-breaking point or a reminder that “this guy could be evil you know” to show how someone can still keep a positive attitude in spite of all the shit life throws at him.

Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.

Do you think you give your character justice? YES / NO [ i’d like to think i have?? but i also acknowledge that he’s become something of his Own in some ways that do intentionally diverge from sakurai’s intentions. ultimately though, even though i may not play him completely true to text, i try to be as loyal as i can be to the spirit of the character. ]

Do you frequently write headcanons? YES / NO / SORT OF? [ when i can!! but??? the problem is my mind really, really likes to reiterate the Same Damn Points i have to make with characters that draws me to them - and you know, writing the same hcs over and over is generally considered poor form?? ngl i also prefer to let the writing do the talking unless it’s something that’s not gonna show so 90% of the time pit’s open enough that all but the darker sides of his mind are lain out before you. ]

Do you sometimes write drabbles? YES / NO [ maybe??? once or tWICE???? but i need to write more ]

Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day? YES / NO [ I REALLY DO, HOO MAMA. i have a lot of thoughts about him, his depth, potential relationships, goofy thoughts, more serious fanfic ideas im never gonna write and don’t get me started on how many SHIPS i have to think about for him ]

Are you confident in your portrayal? YES / NO [ my portrayal is made out of spite for portrayals in the fandom and some supplementary material that gets him wrong - it’s kinda hard to do that without the confidence ]

Are you confident in your writing? YES / NO / ??? [ it’s uhh........ complicated??? i don’t think writing is my expertise, tbh. but it is the best way i have to show the passion i have for characters, by putting their nuances into actions, by allowing them to shine from who they are their core, by exploring relationships and scenarios and struggles and hope and everything that can flesh a character out. whether or not i’m a good writer is something i’m still sorting out - but i’m proud of my ability to develop a character, and to that end i feel like i’m doing fine ]

Are you a sensitive person? YES / NO. / SORTA. [ on one hand......... very. i have a tendency to overthink everything i do and look back at moments i made an ass of myself that keep haunting me throughout my day - they haunt me. i only have two fears: what my immediate friend group thinks of me and the crushing existential weight of worrying one day i’m gonna ruin everything i am SOFT. that being said, i’m also hardheaded and stubborn and i’m not afraid to go off on someone i don’t have much respect for if it comes down to it. i’m easy to anger when it comes down to it you know i guess that proves the point huh i’m not stonefaced at all ]

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal? — i try to? it’s a bit touchy for me I admit just because I do take portrayals and try to make them my own, but i am willing to listen if someone has any points they’d like to make that i haven’t acknowledged properly. if criticism IS had, lemme know, i do wanna hear it!

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character? — Y E S

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why? — not that everyone who disagrees with my opinions has to explain themselves of course, but i do sincerely like the chance to learn if something i’m doing doesn’t quite feel right. even if it’s one-sided and i’ll come to disagree, i’m happy to listen! even if i don’t agree with the disagreement head-on, i like to keep them in mind and see what i can shift around to acknowledge them if necessary

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it? — neutral?? i mean don’t be mean about it, but if you just think my pit doesn’t seem right or it doesn’t click right with your muse i’m not gonna throw a fit about it. everyone’s allowed to view a character in their own way - and even if i may get salty about those who oversimplify him, it IS anyone’s right to view him how they will.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it? — agree to disagree tbh. i can’t pretend it wouldn’t disappoint me, but it’s not like, worth ending a friendship over or anything. everyone’s got their own viewpoints to run on

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors? — sure, within reason! i take pride in my grammar but i know that with my fast typing and often running on only a few hours of sleep some problems do slip in through the cracks. while i generally either catch them or just Die with them i’m all ears if i mess up

Do you think you are easy going as a mun? — uhhhhhhhhhh well i’m?? kind of a socially anxious mess honestly which DOES make being easy going a bit difficult BUT i do try and be friendly and sociable as i....... can. i’m too scared to talk to people and CAN say some dumb things but i’m not a hardass or anything!! i like to talk and Yell and shitpost and pretty much do anything but write tbh DHFLKSJDF

interaction guide for leah!

leah overall is a very, very flexible muse, and while she’s mostly an uwu muse, she’s not always ( e.g. potty mouth, kind of aggressive/possessive with certain muses, has “kick your ass” energy even though she’s like 5′1 and cries over everything, is very lewd and can be very forward at times ). i tend to have a lot of fun with her because she’s so dimensional, but below are some good points of entry if you’re stuck or need inspiration!!

“are you finding everything alright?” — threads that take place at leah’s workplaces ( i.e. the university bookstore or delight, the adult store ); a great way to break the ice since shopping can allow for casual conversation, big or small! retail work can be very strange as well, so there’s a lot of room for some interesting scenarios that can leave a lasting impression for leah to remember your muse by in the future. not every interaction in the adult store has to be sexual or sexually charged, either, so feel free to have some fun with the setting!

college/university setting threads — being a university student that lives on campus in the dorms ( canonically, anyway; there’s always room for divergence! ), most of leah’s waking hours are spent doing something related to her classes or social events happening on campus. she’s usually not a big partier, but when surrounded by the right crowd, she can easily be roped right into wild parties. though she’s not the type to let herself get wasted; chances are, she’ll be the one taking care of your muse! college is full of possibilities when it comes to shenanigans, like some real wack ass shit can happen, so below are just a few general possibilities for plot ideas. studying abroad has also been my default way of sending leah out of the country, so if your muse has to be in a different country to make a storyline work, i gotchu! your muse:

takes the same classes as leah and befriends her because they sit next to her in class, are partnered up with her for an assignment, engage in group discussion with her regularly, ect. can also just be a brief meeting like an exchange of compliments ( “that’s such a cute top!” “thanks, your pencil bag is super cute, too!” )

is leah’s roommate ( plotting required since it’s canon that she lives alone!! but housing situations change frequently during college so it’s not a huge problem, just gotta work out the details )

is the teaching assistant for a class that leah is taking, so she come to them for help on assignments ( or vice versa: leah is the teaching assistant so she grades your muse’s assignments/tutors them )

a tutor in general that leah can turn to for help in exchange for cash or a different kind of payment ( food, advice, ect. this doesn’t have to be a dirty thing alksjdlkjsad )

met leah at a party and now the two of them are just party buddies or just always get into trouble whenever they hang out and party together

celebrity/idol + fangirl; city meets country; wealthy meets poor threads — oh my god okay so listen; i really enjoy the idea of “opposites attract” with leah. like the idea of meeting a muse who is a higher status than her socioeconomically, socially, or just comes from a different background than her ( hence city meets country since leah was born in an urban area, so interacting with a muse who comes from a small town would be the opposite of her ).

anyway, leah’s the type to be really into pop culture, so keeping up with celebrities, idols, youtubers, whatever would be a past time for her, and then meeting them in real life would make her lose her shit. being in a relationship of any kind with a celebrity would make her lose her shit, and considering she lives in los angeles, it’s possible to run into one for the sake of a plot.

socioeconomically, leah’s considered low-income, maybe lower middle class ( but considering how vast the “middle class” actually is, can we really say ). as such, she’s very conscious about how she spends her money, so meeting a muse who is very well off financially would be an interesting dynamic. she always jokes about being a sugar baby or like, being a trophy wife so she doesn’t have to work, but whether that’d actually happens depends on what happens when she meets a muse with the means to make that joke a reality.

anyway, leah teeters on the edge of being a gold digger but she probably won’t be. it’s just fun to pair her up with wealthy muses because they live such a vastly different lifestyle from her usually that she’s like “what”

sexcapade threads ( 18+ muns only ) -- leah is a very sex positive muse, and as such, a lot of her interactions can be smutty. taking into account her sexuality, hook-up culture on a college campus, and her freedom away from her parents, quite a few plots ( and their variations ) can happen rather easily. it’s important to note, though, that i prefer to write smut threads that either have some sort of plot to them or can lead to further development in a relationship. writing smut can get boring real quick if nothing new is introduced, but i’m okay with plotting out intimacy privately! also, sex does not always equal romance, so romantic feelings may not always develop between leah and your muse. if you are interested in shipping our muses romantically, please let me know! otherwise, i’ll assume they’re just in a casual type of relationship.

first time meeting threads where it’s literally just leah and your muse getting it on is also acceptable, though some plotting might be required depending on the muse.

verse/au/wishlist plots — i always love a good au. love, love, love my aus. below are a list of verses that are already “premade” on my blog that that you’re welcome to work with. i’ll go ahead and link leah’s verse page as well in case you want to read up on the basics. i do have a wishlist tag as well full of plots that may or may not work with leah. you’re definitely not limited to the verse page or the tags; if you have an idea, please don’t be shy to reach out to me! like i said, leah is very flexible. all i ask is that you respect her as a muse and don’t be weird with her. i get that she’s a very sexual muse but please ... respect her.

angel verse — this verse is probably one of leah’s most used verses, and important details about this verse can be found here, here, and here! i highly suggest you read these posts bc a lot of her mannerisms hinges on what’s laid out in these posts, and of course you’re always welcome to ask questions if you have any!! angel verse is a good place to begin if your muse is also another supernatural creature, and considering angel leah has no qualms about visiting other realms like hell, it’s very possible for her to meet your muse one way or another.

influencer/idol/celebrity verse — considering how big on social media leah is in terms of her constant engagement with it, plots that involve her being an influencer are right up her alley, and collaborations with other muses who fit into this category are a great way for leah to interact with them! while i don’t have an official verse up for this category yet as of 04/06/21, leah’s very flexible when it comes to what she can do if she gained social media status, but what she’d most likely do involves modeling, acting, and being on youtube or streaming.

high school verse — high school leah is very different from main verse/college leah in the sense that she’s a lot more reserved and is a lot more closeted about her sexuality. she’s still very enjoyable to interact with, but what sets high school leah apart from canon leah the most is that there’s a more prominent struggle and confusion regarding her spiritual views, and dating her in high school is almost like a chore since your muse will have to jump through hoops in order to date her if that’s something they want to do. in high school verse, leah canonically only has one boyfriend in her senior ( final ) year, but as always, i welcome divergence. your muse is even welcome to be her high school boyfriend if we plot things out ( spoiler: her high school boyfriend was a real asshole ). high school shenanigans are definitely more tame than college shenanigans, but this verse will be good for slice of life plots ( hanging out after school, doing projects together, decorating for the school dance, prom date, applying to college, ect. )

miscellaneous plots — finally, here are some classic plots that i always love with leah. they don’t really fit into the other categories, but these are plots i don’t mind doing over and over and over again because they’re never always the same each time i write them, and these plots make leah happy too :’)

mom friend/big sister leah bc oh my god i love her with kids so much, but also she’s incredibly doting towards close friends she cares a lot about so yeah call her the mom friend™

in the same vein, pls hire her to be your main babysitter. she’d appreciate it so much bc college is so expensive

beach threads!! aquarium threads!! ocean threads!! pool threads!! leah enjoys water and ocean life, so any thread where these elements are involved really get her going. i don’t care how often she’s been to the aquarium or beach, she’ll go again.

take her on trips with you!! she loves traveling and really like the idea the freedom that comes with traveling around the world

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?). — he’s the protagonist, he’s too nice, too likable, and he might be, from some perspectives, super overpowered. a lot of his flaws are issues that come with a lot of protagonist characters, like selflessness to a fault, recklessness, a desire to help no matter the cost, etc., and it might come across as overdone or unoriginal for someone like him.

What inspired you to rp your muse? — twipri has been my favorite video game of all time since i first played it the xmas after it came out, when i was 7. it was an unbelievably huge influence on my life, and got me through a whole lot of shit i’d have to go through up until i was a teenager. it was a constant for me, a comfort. and link, being the protagonist, was of course the center of it. i connected to him really hard, and becoming him whenever i played the game was like magic to me as a kid. honestly, i dont know why i didnt write him until this year, because he’s been such an easy headspace for me to slip into for years. ig i just figured it was about time? id already written both tp zel and midna at separate points, so it was only right to complete the trio ksjfgh

What keeps your inspiration going? — the game itself, its soundtrack, art, linked universe and its little fandom, and you guys! just seeing all of your posts and your passion for loz and its characters helps fuel the love i have for it too!

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors? — mm i don’t mind it, but i don’t really see the point. rp is a form of writing that doesn’t need much editing, and when it does, we are our own editors, so of course we’re going to make mistakes and overlook them. english is a complicated and hard language, and typos/misspellings/grammar errors happen and it’s not a big deal

Do you think you are easy going as a mun? — yes!! i’m a very laid-back person in general i think, and of course i have things i won’t tolerate and i’ll speak up when i need to, but at the end of the day rp is a hobby, and it’s something we do to have fun, and i know that having fun is the most important part of doing this. though, sometimes i think my anxiety & fear of confrontation might make me a little too lenient on things like my own rules tho kjfhg

A3 : I have no clue, really. I wanted to roleplay, and I wanted to roleplay a character paying the price for a life of lies and hubris.
