Kumon: … (Huh… I was supposed go to the riverside. I made my way all the way here without even realizing it…) The gate’s open…? (Maybe it’s because they’re doing renovations right now…) —.

Juza: …

Tenma: …He’s not answering.

Izumi: It’s gotten this late and he hasn’t come home yet. I wonder if something happened.

Muku: I’m going to go look for him!

Kazunari: Mukkun. I’m going with you.

Misumi: Same here~!

Tenma: Then count me in too.

Yuki: We have no idea where to even search. This guy. I’m worried so I’ll tag along.

Izumi: Everyone—.

Juza: I’ll keep lookin’ too.

Izumi: In that case, let me—.

Kazunari: Director-chan, Hyodle, you two wait at the dorm for when Kumopi gets back. It’s not safe for a lady to be out at this hour~. And Hyodle, you can welcome Kumopi home.

Izumi: Kazunari-kun…

Juza: …Okay. I’ll leave Kumon to you.

-pause-

Misumi: Kumon, where are you~?

Kazunari: Kumopi~!

Tenma: Did you find him?

Muku: No…

Yuki: We’re just wasting time searching blindly.

Tenma: Where the heck did he go…

Muku: If only I had been a little more attentive to Kyu-chan…

Misumi: It’s not your fault, Muku~.

*ring, ring*

Muku: Ju-chan?

Juza: “Have you found him?”

Muku: …No. We’ve searched all the nearby places that we thought Kumon might’ve gone to…

Izumi: “Azami-kun said he might have an idea of where Kumon-kun went.”

Tenma: Eh?

Azami: “I’m not sure… but have you taken a look at Tsuku High’s baseball field? He seemed pretty interested in the renovations goin’ on the other day…”

Kazunari: We haven’t tried Tsuku High’s sports field yet! We’ll head there now!

Izumi: “Be careful, okay?”

Misumi: If it’s Tsuku High, then leave it to me~!

Yuki: Oh right, you used to be a Tsuku High student.

Misumi: I haven’t been there much, but I know where that is~.

-pause-

Kumon: … (It’s been a while since I’ve stood in this field. This might be the first time since I quit the baseball team…) (It hasn’t changed since back then… I wonder if it’ll change after it’s been renovated.) (To think I used to feel so scared. But now I can stand here feeling calm as can be.) —. (A baseball… they forgot to put it away.)

*flashback ends*

Kumon: …

Yamaguchi: …What’re you doing squatting down over there?

Kumon: It’s just… we could’ve won today’s game for sure. If only I didn’t mess up in the bottom of the 7th inning…

Yamaguchi: That wasn’t your fault, y’know? Geez, don’t sweat it. —Here.

Kumon: What’s that…?

Yamaguchi: A fist bump. It’ll reset your mind.

Kumon: …Ahaha, what the heck. Does that actually work?

Yamaguchi: If it works as a trigger, then anything will do. It’s normal to regret things that have passed. We lost today. That’s not gonna change. It's not like it's going to change the outcome of the game, so if you have time to regret, then it's better to face forward towards what you can do from here on out.

Kumon: Face forward… I see… you’re right about that. Thanks, Yamaguchi. I feel better now! Next time I’m depressed, I’ll ask you again!

Yamaguchi: No way. You get depressed way too quickly. It’s a pain.

Kumon: Hey, why!

*flashback ends*

Kumon: (That’s right. Back then, right here—.)

Misumi: There he is~!

Kumon: Sumi-san…?

Muku: We were so worried, Kyu-chan…!

Yuki: Good grief… what are you doing? You weren’t answering our messages.

Kumon: Ah—Sorry, I had my notifications turned off.

Kazunari: So that’s the reason~?

Kumon: What are you guys doing here though?

Tenma: There happened to be a teacher around who remembered Misumi, so we got a permit to come inside.

Yuki: I don’t think he’s asking about the procedure we used.

Kazunari: Azamin told us you might be here since it looked like you were interested in the sports field. Kumopi, are you okay?

Kumon: …I’m sorry for making you worry.

Yuki: I don’t know what’s bothering you, but you can’t keep brooding over it by yourself.

Muku: You don’t have to hold everything in, Kyu-chan.

Tenma: Sometimes it feels better to let it all out.

Misumi: If something is bugging you, then we can think about it together, okay~?

Kazunari: I’ll accept whatever it is you feel. That’s why I became your co-lead, y’know!

Kumon: You guys… thank you. (Yeah, that’s right. All of them are here for me.) (There’s no point regretting about the past. Instead, I’d like to cherish the present, and the future, that I’m facing with all of you.)

Kumon: …The other day, I ran into a friend from my little league days. After that, I couldn’t stop thinking about the baseball team. Like what would’ve happened if I continued. Or if I could’ve also played in the intra-squad game with Yamaguchi and the rest of them. I wondered if I should’ve tried harder on the baseball team. Stuff like that—. I felt discouraged in junior high, but I joined the baseball team in high school thinking it would work out this time. And I met some good friends. Yamaguchi and I had amazing chemistry as a battery. I had my share of hard and painful times, including with my health. But I also had the same amount of fun. Baseball was everything to me back then. I honestly believed that I was going to play baseball forever. But now, I love Summer troupe even more than that. I love this theater company, and I want to continue doing my best as an actor. Yet, I really hated myself for thinking about the baseball team because it made me feel half-hearted.

Muku: So that’s what you were thinking…

Kumon: But, you know, the reason I could even wonder what it’d be like if I continued playing baseball is because I’ve been acting with all of you. If I hadn’t joined the theatre company, and if I hadn’t met Summer troupe, then I wouldn’t have gained confidence in myself. I never would’ve thought I’d be able to play baseball again… I realized that thanks to Muku. Yamaguchi also said this to me back when I was on the team. If I have time to regret what’s passed, then move forwards. And he’s right. I’m sorry for making you worry so much. I’ll be fine as long as I’m with all of you. Of course I love baseball and all my memories with the baseball club are important to me, and that’s not going to change. But now I’ve come to love acting and the theatre just as much, if not more than baseball—because I have all of you in Summer troupe!

Kazunari: Kumopi… thank for you sharing with us. Kumopi, you can tell that you really cherished baseball and that you put lots of effort into it. So you don’t have to feel sorry about your feelings and for reminiscing about it. I’m sure you would’ve been the coolest ever if you kept playing. But I’m happy that you joined Summer troupe. I’m so glad that you’re here.

Muku: Kyu-chan, thank you for joining Summer troupe!

Yuki: Anyways, if that’s how you felt, then you should’ve told us sooner.

Tenma: There’s no way we’d get mad at you over something like that.

Kumon: Ehehe. I love you guys!

*rustling*

Muku: !?

Yuki: What’s that sound?

Tenma: Shouldn’t it be a construction worker?

Yuki: They’re not going to be doing construction at this hour. That’d be a nuisance to the neighhourhood.

Kumon: There’s no one over there though…

Kazunari: Could it be~.

Misumi: A ghost~!?

Tenma: GYAHHH!

I'm so excited to watch Ha Hyunsang! I've only ever seen him in the context of Hoppipolla and he was amazing. I'll definitely let you keep you up to date haha. I'm so glad you think that about the other vocalist though! Ages ago whenever I'd heard one of their songs from superband (I think it must have been snooze or something?) I didn't like his voice. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just didn't seem to vibe with it. I do want to check gift out though

His dances are the cutest! When I was getting into Lucy, I happened to come across some of the live clips and I'd really enjoyed someday in the 21st century, but then when I saw Wonsang singing and dancing along to it I honestly fell in love with him. I loved his energy and excitement!!

I go by Violet (or Vi, whichever you want to call me haha). I need to update my page to say that, but I cba haha. (I saw you started to follow me! I will warn you, I'm a very boring person ahaha)

i swear on the stage in the center is just where sangyeop BELONGS and you can tell he loves performing so much SKDJKS HES SO FINE WHEN HE IS IN HIS ELEMENT. like i did not survive I MEAN TECHNICALLY I DID BUT I DIDNT.

i'll definitely sift through the rest of my clips and post some to tumblr hehe (any songs you wanna see?) discord is great for texting like i'm much more active on there and it's nice to have an active conversation but it also has an mb limit so some of my videos are too big for it even when i clip them to be like 10 seconds 💀💀 idk what tumblr's mb limit for videos or what it is but i feel like its much bigger than discord lol. but discord is so fun when you can watch videos together plus there's tons of kpop servers so you can make new friends <3

i fell in love with hyunsang on superband (i think everyone did lol) but then when i finished watching it i kinda forgot abt him?? but my youtube showed me one of his covers and i thought his voice was so beautiful and then i realized it was him from superband. and now he's one of my ult soloists his solo music is crazy good :( i really wanna get more into hoppipolla, i didn't stan them yet since they're pretty inactive rn so i just keep up with hyunsang atm. but i've heard some hoppipolla songs and i love them they're great <3 and yeah i mean like there's nothing really wrong with the vocalist they had on superband but his voice didn't really bring anything to lucy songs?? and you can even see when you watch crybird cover on superband vs the later performance they did of it with sangyeop that sangyeop's voice just FITS lucy perfectly. i couldn't imagine lucy songs without him they just sound so wrong.... i can't thank wonsang enough for making that choice to ask sangyeop to join cause he was what lucy really needed!! i've wanted to check out gift sometime as well like i really want to get into more bands cause i feel like i don't stan enough rn lol

the way he just looks like he enjoys performing sm :( hes always dancing and smiling at everyone in the audience and when his part comes on he sings it so cutely KSDJSK I LOVE HIM :((

Nica Schwartz - Bitter END

Startled by the scream, I turned around and noticed a crowd gathering in the vicinity of where we spoke to the woman earlier.

Kate: What the hell…..

Unable to see within the middle of the crowd, I moved closer, but his hand stopped me.

Nica: It could be trouble. It’s dangerous, so let’s stay away.

A woman’s laugh could be heard among the commotion.

Thin Woman: Ahaha! Yes!

Thin Woman: I did it!

With that, I finally realized that the person in the middle of the crowd was that woman.

She was gripping a knife covered in bright red,

Then I saw a man who looked like her husband lying on the ground covered in blood.

Kate: That can’t….

The timid woman whom we spoke to earlier was now laughing maniacally like a completely different person.

My legs trembled in shock as she sat down still gripping the knife,

Thin Woman: See, I’m free!

I was taken aback by her words.

(That’s what Nica said just said a moment ago…)

(It can’t be that person decided to kill someone because of Nica’s saying so?!)

Frightened, I looked over at Nica, who was smiling with a chilling gaze —

Kate: Nica…..?

City Police: Over there, catch her!

The Yard officer rushed past me while I was dumbstruck.

The woman holding the knife was arrested immediately, and yet she continued to cry out—

Thin Woman: He’s the one to blame! He kept buying women and bringing them into our home.

Thin Woman: You promised you’d only look at me, but you didn’t even give me a single word that I wanted.

Thin Woman: That person gave me the words I wanted.

(Is the person she’s talking about, Nica….?)

It was like something had been unleashed, and it was definitely abnormal,

Nica: Let’s go, robin.

It was as if someone had mesmerized her, and then something went wrong.

(No way….!)

Kate: Come over here, please.

Nica: What are you bringing to a place like this for?

We enter a nearby alleyway and I stare him in the eyes as he teased me frivolously.

Kate: You used your ability on that woman, didn’t you?

Silence reigned in the alleyway that was concealed from the main street.

Even the sound of my gulping and the pounding of my heart reverberated in my ears.

In stark contrast, Nica’s expression was calm and composed

Nica: Why do you think that?

Kate: ……Your ability is to charm people, and it activates when you hold their hand.

Kate: Not long ago, you held that woman’s hand, kissed it and then said,

Kate: “There are lots of people who’ll think you’re attractive once you’re free.”

(Then you gave her a push.)

Kate: If she were charmed by you, then the change in her behavior makes sense.

Strength gathers in my hands as I squeeze the bouquet of flowers.

Nica let out an annoyed sigh.

Nica: In other words, robin, you’re saying I used my ability on a person to make them kill someone?

Nica: What would be the benefit if I really did that?

Kate: Well….

He scratched his head out of annoyance, and slowly made his way to me.

When I backed away, I backed into a wall, and he stood before me looking down on me —

Nica: Hey, answer me.

I almost forgot to breathe because of the pressure I felt —

Nica: …..I heard that husband used to buy women and bring them home.

Kate: What…..

Nica: Apparently, he even prepared rooms for the women to live in his household.

Nica: And when she asked him to stop, seems like he’d beat her badly.

The look on his face as he spat out a laugh was different from all the other smiles I had seen all day long.

Now it feels like this is the true Nica.

Nica: Let’s say I did use my ability, it wasn’t my fault that person killed him.

Nica: Anyway, it worked out perfectly didn’t it?

Kate: Perfectly…..?

Nica: The scum of the earth has disappeared, so we’re lucky aren’t we?

He says it while laughing, but even though he’s smiling, I don’t think he’s really enjoying it,

It felt like I saw an emptiness, like nothing really matters.

Nica: So then, why’s the robin so angry?

His fingers reached my cheek, and he pushed the corner of my mouth up forcefully with his forefinger.

Nica: I want my girlfriend to keep smiling like me.

Kate: ….There’s no way I could smile after watching something play out like that.

He wrapped both of my hands within his.

Nica: Maybe there was something that warranted resentment.

Kate: But, there was no need for that woman to become a murderer.

Kate: If you charmed her and she became a murderer,

Kate: Then I don’t think I can forgive you.

Nica: ….Haa.

Nica raised his smiled incitingly,

Nica: Then, wanna try it out and see if I used my ability?

Kate: Kyaa.

He grabbed my right wrist and brought our lips close to each other.

Nica: Will you be mesmerized into listening to me?

Slowly his fingertips try to intertwine with mine, and even if I try to escape, the hand holding me is unyielding.

Nica: Now, let me ask you something,

I had so much fun growing closer with him today, that I’d forgotten what sort of person he is.

Nica: Won’t you try killing me, your lover?

What stood before my eyes was a black swan from Germany.

I COMPLETELY forgot who posted this but there was this one tumblr that posted Pegoryu with ‘Koi no Yokan’ and I was like OMG YES, but then after a while I think an anon sent in ask about that and was like ‘Okay hear me out—Koi no Yokan and Coup de Foudre cause Ryuji’s Zio and lightning and thunder and he was the flash of lightning that made Akira fall in love’ AND I WAS EVEN MORE LIKE YES YES YES YES

BUT NOW I CAN’T FIND THE POST OR BLOG SO I FEEL I SHOULD JUST LET YOU KNOW OF THE EXISTENCE OF THIS AND HOPE YOU CAN SEE IT FOR YOURSELF ONE DAY

I ain't gonna lie, for hot a minute I thought Koi no Yokan was a band, and that Coup de Foudre was a song, and I was like, I don't think I've heard of them before but I will do it for pegoryu-- AND THEN MY PEA BRAIN REBOOTED AND WENT, YOU DINGUS, THEY ARE WORDS WITH DEFINITIONS. And THEN I remembered where I heard Koi no Yokan before and I went on a fever manhunt through my tags for it and I believe it is this post by @kareofbears!

here's the link to reblog ahaha! Though, I did not see/cannot find the Coup de Foudre follow up, sorry (￣y▽,￣)╭

but YES, YES YES YES!!!! We have the definition phrase for koi no yokan, but for coup de foudre, I've found, it's "an astonishing occurrence; especially : overwhelming love at first sight", and for your bit you mentioned "The moment when "lightning strikes" or something unforgettable occurs that you want to capture forever".

And I am literally shaking. It's so perfect for them. Not only am I shook at the slow burn aspect, but the lightning metaphor and imagery is so immaculate. Like holy shit!!!!!!

Anyway, long ass talk (me just rambling bc i haven't slept for a while LMAO) under the cut, sorry! But know that my Pegoryu heart just got reignited, so thank you, anon 😎

In my headcanons, I honestly see Akira being the one that falls first. He looks and acts reserved restrained, but he gets attached to people fast (the power of friendship, babyyyy-- my boy is a shonen jump protag), and Ryuji being that first re-connection back to the rest of the world, literal zio, lightning storm, thunder-- To Akira, there is a time before Ryuji, and then there is a time after Ryuji. Ryuji is... someone, something, an event that happened to him. Lightning strike that shifted the world a few degrees different.

Like, of COURSE, if it were anybody else-- I do believe Akira would've saved them, would've stood up, would've become someone more than what was given to him. But there is something so narratively delicious that he meets Ryuji first, and this is the person that woke up something in him, that he took one look after that first dungeon and sees recognition-- that core trait of protection being reflected back. I've said it in some posts before, but like, there was a writing choice for Akira to fully start his journey with the Chariot arcana, rather than Magician; The Chariot tarot card is all about overcoming challenges and gaining victory through maintaining control of your surroundings.

Akira at the beginning of the game is someone defined by loss: of his old life, reputation, and of control. I know the awakening theme for P5 is about rebellion, revenge, anger-- and he does embody all of that! But his core is to protect. That's what got him into his situation; the world punished him for standing up for someone else, tried to tell him it was a mistake, and it was wrong. Even after having dreams about Igor hinting at his future, meeting Sojiro, seeing how weird Shujin is-- it's meeting Ryuji, accidentally going into the dungeon, and having this stranger try to protect him-- that's what wakes Akira up. His lightning flash moment. Ryuji happened to him, and validated his core drive to protect; Ryuji looked at Akira, a stranger, and didn't debate on the merits of saving some guy who could be good or bad-- he just did it.

Akira woke his persona to save others. And as defined by the Chariot-- he overcame his challenge (fear of action due to what had happened before) and gained victory through control of his surroundings (reconnecting with the world and people, gaining a persona granted him control of his circumstances, etc.).

Ryuji is the overwhelming, unforgettable lightning strike.

Maybe Akira doesn't fall in love right at that moment. But I do believe he falls a lot faster, and that he recognizes the impact in meeting Ryuji. But again, his restraint does not let him voice any of this (because Akira is still very defined by fear); he knows what he feels, he just lost his voice in admitting anything truly vulnerable.

Now, on the other side, I headcanon Ryuji embodying koi no yokan perfectly. A lot of it is also Atlus having everyone adore Akira (which, deserved. Akira deserves good things), but it's my headcanon and I'm explaining the process.

I honestly believe it takes Ryuji longer to truly connect in a way that HE finds matter. It's easy to help strangers, but it's hard to let down your guard to allow someone at your soft belly; this is exemplified with Ryuji's prickly countenance, and his quick reaction to anything that could cause harm to others/the group. A lot of that is from the stuff that happened to him prior the game: Kamoshida breaking his leg, ostracization by his team and school, his own guilt, and hell, the lightly mentioned family history in his SL.

Like, chains are a big symbolism in P5: restraint, being literally chained down by society, yourself, etc. And in comparison to the main cast, his story happened outside of P5 plot (no connection to Shido, and his story was not jumpstarted by the Metaverse); Ryuji... just happened in the plot. Things happened to him. And he's been living his life defined by those things, chained down by external forces but also by his mistakes.

That's why, on a narrative level, it really makes sense that Ryuji's whole SL is about recovery, progress, and freedom. Everyone else is finally stepping into their story, so to speak, but he's the one moving on, because his story was done before the game even began (and that Atlus just did not give attention to, lbr), and change is an inevitable part of life.

But there is also the delicious juxtaposition of Ryuji's themes of freedom mixing with inevitability, though. Just the possibilities of internal struggle, you know? Like, if my life can change because I will it, because I seek freedom and that is an active process- how does inevitability play a role? Fate isn't real, it can't be (because does that mean half the bullshit in my life was doom to occur?), because that is a painful thought-- but. Akira.

Akira is someone that became inevitable to Ryuji's story; just as Ryuji was the lightning strike to Akira's life to wake up and recognize himself again, Akira is the inevitability of change for Ryuji's stagnancy. Because Ryuji is an active person in many ways-- staying in one spot, staying stagnant is what hurt him most, and just meeting Akira was.

It felt like the tide pulling from the shore, the sun setting, moon rising, world turning on its axis every day. Normal, devastating inevitable forces.

Their meeting was by chance, but did Ryuji really think he could stay the same? Did he think he could stay the same in his loneliness, after having met Akira?

He didn't fall first, but on some level, Ryuji knew that all the roads he ran on would lead back to Akira.

And while Ryuji may struggle with his own themes of freedom and inevitability-- I think he ultimately accepts what he feels for Akira, and makes new meaning of the two concepts for himself: "I guess bein' free...it's like how I feel when I'm talking to you, man."

Finding freedom in that inevitable love, because at the end of the day, Ryuji has the choice to choose that written piece, or reject it. And he chooses take it and make it mean something, changing in the way that matters to him.

“Don’t ask me why because i don’t know. I thought about you a lot of nights. a lot, and I can’t tell what I like about you, but also there’s nothing I don’t like. And now, should I ask you to date me?”

You where surprised and speechless. He looked at you, raising an eyebrow.

“Captain? It’s just a yes or no question.” he says. You want to laugh. He’s so nervous that it made him cute.

“I know. But, you know, I have to think.”

Think is not a rejection. Well, maybe it’s a rejection, but he gained a dead time on the middle. But come on, you’re not going to say no to him. It can go wrong or maybe you two end married with some cats.

“Okay. I’ll date you. I like you.”

He knew -more or less- what to do if you rejected him. But you said yes. Y E S.

And now?

Well, maybe kissing you was a bit rushed, but his lips were so soft against yours...

After that one, a lot of them came.

And well, your simple attraction for your subordinate ended being something more intense.

News about the update!!

Okay. You’re free to scream at me for this ahaha I have good news and bad news. (oh lord this is so awkward)

Good news: Contrary to what I initially thought, after dozens and dozens of revisions, I have actually made great progress in Chapter 2. Like real progress. Nearing-the-end progress. One-section-remaining progress.

Bad news: I was so set on releasing the update (like half of the chapter) the other day, then I reread the whole thing and literally scrunched up my nose at the prologue lmao. I mean, it’s not that bad, I know, but the problem is it’s so different from the way I wrote Chapter 2.

I know I promised it would be on December 4 but this would deeply bother me if I release it this way, so I’m extending it for a few weeks. (No, it’s not gonna get further than December-- I physically can’t allow that to happen. Please forgive me for that sjkldjaskl)

Like, as you know, months have passed (don’t kill me) since the last update, and apparently, my writing style has kinda changed? It’s less of a change, I guess, rather than being more comfortable around the IF medium. Basically, at the time I delved into writing IF, I was basically a beginner lmaoo. I wrote film scripts before, even made short stories, but this was the first time I began writing something this long, and at the start I was still trying to experiment on the length of descriptions I’d use and what kind of choices to include.

So, as of the moment, I’ve been rewriting some parts to make some sections a little less rushed and to give more context on the city’s state. I don’t know how often I’d be able to update by the time January comes (it’s gonna be a little hectic from that moment) so I want to do my best for this one. (and no this is not gonna take a very long time--punch me if that happens)

Right now, this is what I need from you all. If there is any section in the demo, and I mean anything, please don’t hesitate to talk to me and point it out. I will do something about stuff that makes you uncomfortable, so please do contact me if you find any issues with it. I won’t get angry. I just need to know what concerns there are about the things I write this early in the demo, because I really don’t want to remain ignorant on matters I should be taking care of.

Also, I want to take this chance to make an apology. (something about the hate anons the previous months under the cut)

I feel like I’ve been very unprofessional these past few months, if I’ll be honest. I wasn’t exactly in the best mental state and there were some stuff I had to deal with (I’m basically a neurodivergent who may have spent too much time untreated) but that’s no excuse.

I got angry a lot of times. I got pissy and snarky at some of my posts, and I want to say sorry for that. I’m aware that people follow this blog for the game, and not for personal issues I have to deal with, and I am only learning that now. And, I don’t know. I do feel that some of the asks I got before were thoroughly aggressive that may have warranted some screaming, but I do believe I handled them the wrong way.

If I ever do that again--the whole getting angry and being all snarky again bit--do feel free to poke me. Tell me if I make a post that needed tagging for something sensitive but completely forgot to. Tell me if I make a remark that veers into arrogance/insensitivity.

I’d really really want to know when I do something inherently bad, so I could start changing that about myself.

Any Kny character you've grown to love/appreciate more??

Thanks for waiting, Anon, I have been trying to really, really hard to narrow this down, but the answer remains: the vast majority of the cast. The only character I loved right away was Tanjiro and that love kept me watching, as with almost every new character I was like, "ugh, I hate this guy. Here I was, having fun being emotionally invested in a high quality anime, and this might ruin it for me." But then the instant I see a different side of their character, I'm like, "...Oh." To go into some examples...

Zenitsu: I could not stand him right away, I hate womanizers, and his conniptions would go on so long that they held up the story. But Gotouge/Ufotable strung me along perfectly, the first glimpse of Thunder Breath made me immediately pay attention and think, "oh, that was cool. I want to see more of that." Seeing him protect the box pretty firmly put him in the "I need to protect this child" box in my heart. And then the spider demon happens, and I'm sending desperate reaction messages to a friend like "NOOOOOO!!!! BABBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYY!!!!" And then he annoyed me all over again at the start of Functional Recovery, ahaha. It's hard to remember how annoyed I was because I'm such a Zen Stan now, and he was a very firm favorite of mine by the time I finished binging the anime up to the last couple episodes, which I waited for as they came out. Inosuke: He was one of the reasons I was curious about the series, I saw some promotional art and was super curious about Nezuko's muzzle (I was one of the people who thought it was some ancient scroll or something, haha) and the kid with the boar mask. The art I saw showed his face, and I assumed he'd be some kid with a cracking voice performed by a female seiyuu. As much as I love Matsuoka's performance now, initially, since I knew what his face looked like, I found it grossly off-putting the moment I heard it. Then every chaotic thing Inosuke did dug a deeper hole; I very quickly decided I hated him, especially when he started beating up on the kid I was starting to like. As his chaos subsided he just became a character I tolerated, and then this happened:

Images you can hear, am I right? This immediately flipped the "BABY" switch in my heart. It was also a lot of fun to understand the Inosuke memes I was seeing everywhere. So by the end of the anime, I loved, loved, loved, loved the Tanjiro/Zenitsu/Inosuke interactions and desperately wanted more (still didn't like how Zenitsu bothered Nezuko, though). I was so impatient for more, but the manga art looked disappointingly off-putting. I figured the anime was successful enough that there'd eventually be more of it, and I wanted to be patient, but then I poked around, read some spoilers, got back into Tumblr to look at fanart and memes, saw a spoiler image of Tanjiro affected by Muzan's poison and the binge-read began. (That's kind of a lie, but I'll get to that.) Let's back up a few episodes. There I was, having a great time, the guy who I forgot about from Episode 1 was back and haha, I guess everyone hates him, and the chick who I figured was going to be a medic who saves Zenitsu in the nick of time turned out to be savage, awesome. I was sending reactions to my friends who were ahead of me, and then we left off seeing the Pillars staring down Best Boy. And I...

Well. Uh. Here, I've dug up an old convo for you, my comments are in blue.

Immediately followed by a passionate vocal rant, which I have transcribed here:

“I feel like what happened was that the mangaka was sitting around with his assistants and was like, ‘welp, gotta make this whole cast of characters, they gotta be so-o-o-o many more levels of extreme than all the other characters I’ve had so far, which isn’t hard, because all of the background characters are cannon fodder and I’ve just gotta leave them all with black hair and no personality traits. So! Gotta go to the opposite of the spectrum with the BIG! POWERFUL! People so no-o-o-body can be normal.’ And so he and his assistants sat down, and they all wrote down just random words or traits, and them put ‘em all in a hat. And then for each character, they pulled out a few of them and said, ‘OK. We’re gonna put these things together, now we have a character.’ And he was probably also like, ‘Iiiiiiiiiiiii’ll flesh them out later. For now, they just need t’… be there, and make an impact. How do we make an impact? By making sure it’s super, super clear what their character traits are. Here, we’ll have this guy repeat the word //HADE//…. ////HA DEEE//// over and over and over… to show that he’s a /showy/ person. Because he /cares/ about that. And he //should// care because that is his character and that’s why he’s powerful.’ OH MY GOSH, it’s so dumb.”

......orz I feel like Genya looking back at how he acted at the end of the Final Selection. I'm sorry, Gotouge, I had not even encountered your love for these characters yet in your little alligator form. Nor had I encountered the yet unseen-sides of these traumatized dragons and tigers. ...*coughs* Um. So. I was pretty harsh.

So this was my mindset, I went into the manga not caring about most of these characters and just wanting more Kamaboko squad interactions and wanting to hurry up and catch up to the battle with Muzan. And it's worth stating that I didn't mean to read it at first. I encountered a few spoilers, and just wanted to look for the context surrounding those parts, and then hunt for the (non-existent) build-up to those parts, and so... uh.........

I read a lot of the manga out of order, and yeah, that did affect how much I cared about what was going on. I didn't actually properly process a lot of it until later re-reads. But to try to state some things simply about each Pillar:

Giyuu: He was just 'ok' to me for a long time, I could see the appeal for why people I knew were fangirling over him but he didn't do it for me. His soft spot for Tanjiro was indeed endearing, though, and I firmly liked him by the time chapter 200 came out and I was properly heartbroken on his behalf.

Shinobu: She was intriguing, and then I liked her as soon as I saw her savage side, she was one of the characters I went hunting for spoilers for.

Rengoku: That stare really put me off at first, but I fell for him over the process of Tanjiro falling for him. When I first finished the train arc I sat back and said, "wow! That's going to make for a good movie!" and then in psyching myself out for the movie several months in advance, I fell hook, line, and sinker and was totally excited for him each time I saw the trailers. And then the movie was *stunning* and I love him even more. Uzui: He was the Pillar I hated most upon first meeting them. I blame the repeated use of his catchphrase. But then when he let his hair down to sell the kiddos the change in design helped warm me up more to him, like, "oh, there was a human in there." It took a long time for him to become more interesting to me, and an uncharacteristically subtle journey to becoming a character I liked. I am currently getting more and more psyched out for him and eager to see how much more I'm going to like him with the shiny Ufotable treatment. Mitsuri: At first I didn't remember her name, I had code-named her as "Boobs." But I kinda had a feeling she was going to grow on me quickly, and I was right, she's one of my easy favorites now. Muichiro: Who? Oh yeah, that kid who always kinda fell to the wayside in my attention. I'd see a lot of Muichiro-themed blogs and hear a lot of little girls looking at merch and showing a clear favoritism of him, and I'd like always react like Muichiro and just be like, "...", and then when I read his major battles I was more emotionally invested in things going on concurrently with other characters, and I was still like, "...", and then two days ago I revisited a Muichiro scene and was suddenly like, "......OH!!! MUICHIRO!!!!!" Himejima: I never really hated Himejima, even if I found his first impression kind of wimpy (haha... oh, I was so wrong). I had a pretty easy acceptance of him too, so I would generally count him among characters I like, but if you were to ask me why, I'd draw a blank. It's kind of a weirdly mature, subdued appreciation for him rather than passionate fangirling. But weirdly when I was daydreaming the other day I found myself thinking, "if I had to marry someone in the KnY cast, it would be Himejima." So like, not a fiery romance, but I see him as my dependable, sturdy rock to grow old with??? What is up with you, sub-conscious?? Iguro: My interest in him rises and falls. Being a Mitsuri fan helped warm me up to his character in the first place, which was the emotional tie I needed since his backstory didn't grip me much (I found it a frustrating distraction while I was desperately reading weekly updates). Reading more subtle details about his character in the fanbooks has brought me around and made me more curious about him, like I'd really like to be a fly on the wall for the conversation he had with Uzui one day about their pasts.

Sanemi: Hahaha, wow. He was so unlikable in the beginning, wasn't he? His character design (yeah, the eyes) was really off-putting too. But then I got to know him and there was no going back, I got totally played. He's a character I'm pretty fond of now and one of the characters I've enjoyed delving into most in fanfic. To keep this answer from getting too long, for the vaaaaaast majority of the cast, I was initially like, "meh" or "OK" or "ew" but now am like, "EEEEEEEEE, I LOVE THIS TOTALLY RANDOM UNIMPORTANT SIDE CHARACTERRRRRRR" so you know... times change. And the more time I spend obsessed with Kimetsu no Yaiba, the more I like them all, so even the characters I'm lukewarm on will probably have their eventual days when they take over my heart and smash it.

Thanks! I have a lot to say so bear with me. I love talking about writing so much 😅

1. What gave you inspiration for “Suite Madame Blue”?

- I ah inspired myself? I mean, I noticed some people are writing the concept of Laurens surviving the amrev war, but when I read those I didn't instantly wanna write my own. I only ended up planning it after I started writing Slipping Into The Future and wanted to write a spinoff based on the Laurens character that shows up in that book.

Although, now I kinda am considering removing the spinoff element and actually publishing it as like a book people can purchase and own under the recommendation of a ton of people in my life. I'll keep updating it on AO3, but I might end up removing it at some point after I finish it (so don't freak out if I do. It just means I'm actually following through with publishing it!)

But anyway, that was how it started - me asking myself "what would happen to John Laurens if he never died in the war?"

And when developing this book, I wanted to make mine original even though the concept of a "Laurens Lives AU" isn't entirely original. 😅 I mean, that was how I went about my Hamilton time traveling fic as well; tried to make mine feel unique amongst the mass of "Historical Hamilton watches the musical" type stories. One thing I noticed as a consistency across these "Laurens Lives AUs" is that none of the stories attempted to really involve Frances as a vital role and also never tried to change anything else besides him "surving the war somehow" (ie. Hamilton's marriage to Eliza is still a thing in all the others I've seen.) I just went for a full AU because why not? I'm already altering history, so I can alter whatever else I want. Lol.

TL DR; my inspiration was just my excitement whilst researching for Slipping Into The Future and wanting to tackle another "what if" scenario story.

13. If someone was just finding your blog/writing, which 3 fics would you recommend they read from your masterlist in order to find out if they like your style or not? Why for each?

- Oh dear, this is a toughie to answer since I have a very biased opinion on my writing - that being I am super critical and would advise people to not read anything I wrote before 2020 😅 However, I will try to answer to the best of my ability and put in a variety of fics I have written that I am proud of or was proud of at the time that still accuratley showcases my style (excluding my most popular and recent works "Suite Madame Blue" and "Slipping Into The Future" which I feel best represents my style since they're so recent, but I digress):

(1) Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now. I wrote and posted this in May 2021, so only a few months before answering this ask. It was based on a discord conversation about dark fics and I wanted to write a Lams dark fic where the Lams relationship wasn't the dark part, but rather the things that they do are dark. Hence the "murder husbands" concept. It kinda has a "crack fic kinda taken seriously" vibe.

(2) PAPA. I wrote this one in 2018. It is a crackfic and I think it really showcases how I handle silly concepts and flip them on their head and subvert people's expectations going in.

(3) True Love's Kiss. Originally ppsted in I think 2019? I updated it in 2020 cause I literally forgot to post the second and final part before, ahaha. It was based on a Tumblr prompt that was "what if a certain character from IT didn't die". I love writing "what if" stories and this one really suits that style.

14. What is a title you think you did really well on? What makes you think it was a good fit for the fic?

- A title I am super proud of is "A Dwindling Flame" because I didn't name it after a song lyric; I actually put effort into the name. It had a placeholder name that was just the song title "Candle In The Wind" (by Elton John) but I renamed it after I finished the oneshot and named it after one of my favourite lines that is in that fic. It just made sense and really sets the mood for the type of story you're getting into, I think.

i wrote soo much ahaha. like however much you think i wrote, i wrote more than that. imo everything i write is gold though

1. are you going to buy the new pack (cottage living) when it comes out? no, it looks really nice but i legit never ever buy packs at launch, especially cause this one is a expansion and it will probably go on sale at some point

2. do you p*rate your dlc or buy it legitimately? buy it legitimately 👌

3. what’s your favorite world? brindleton bay, it gives like seaside cottage vibes. willow creek is good but it’s boring.

4. if you use a queue, how many posts per day do you set it as? 3 or 4. i used to do like 12 lmaoo what even was wrong with me

5. do you watch sims on youtube? yes, i watch mainly malixa, oshinsims, and msgryphi

6. what are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (dream home decorator) those sectional couches look good! but honestly im kinda annoyed because now it’s even harder to have all the items filled in when i place lots from the gallery. like i’m just saying like a lot of builds will use that pack probably and if i don’t get it then i can’t really use builds/save files

7. how many packs/kits do you own? lemme count

but no it’s also not the same! well i mean it’s the username i use for cc. my origin id used to be an0nymousghost but i changed it. i wonder if anyone’s taken that one?

9. is your simblr your sideblog or main blog? main blog ✌️ my old blog @stardze is a main blog as well.

my old old simblr was a sideblog but it had like 1 follower and it literally a bot so i don’t think that counts. i have a multifandom sideblog though

10. do you have a cc finds blog? i wish. i was thinking bout it earlier and that would be sooo neat but sometimes i download stuff that doesn’t have a tumblr post attached to it, and also it’s stressful to keep up with so nah

11. are you wcif friendly? yes sir. in fact i bring the trouble of wcifs onto myself but doing them even when nobody asked.

12. what’s your favorite sized household to play with? (ex. 1 sim, 4 sims) gonna have to think on this one, honestly 1 sim is really fun and stuff goes by so fast. doing stuff with astrid when she was on her own, it was much more efficient.

for families, i haven’t done that in a while actually. 5, 2 parents and 3 kids is cute tho. why did i write this this is honestly such a hard question

13. if you have c&d, do you play with pets? i feel like i haven’t played with cats and dogs in forever. honestly i just have no paitence. noelle fae was supposed to get a cat (there’s a food bowl + cat bed in her house) but when summer vacation started, the amount of time i spent playing ts4 decreased a lot. (this doesn’t really make sense, i have a lot more time. honestly it just has to do with my recent obsession with a certain anime/manga and some other personal thing)

i did random nightmares in may though and i had pets frequently. g5 didn’t because sofia scarlett lived in an apartment, but g2/3/4 had cici, and g1 had all the cats. but that was back in march so it’s been a while.

14. what lifespan do you use? i really want to do aging off but then i feel like it drags on. but aging legit stresses me out, sometimes i just want to sit down and do some cas stuff but i only have 2 hours in real time and there’s like 4 days left till one of my sims’ birthdays.

15. if you own a lot of packs, how many of them have you actually played through? just so everyone is aware this question was made for me

i feel like eps require a specific save made for testing them out, but the only save i’ve ever made for an ep is noelle fae’s get famous save.

that is literally a lie - i made a save for island living with one of my 100bc kids, maisie acapella. i did actually post it on tumblr BUT then i deleted all the posts BUT i reblogged them on my alt account BUT i privated my alt account so i honestly forgot about it

i have never played through discover university or watched anyone do it on youtube, i’ve read gerbits’ story about it so i think i’m pretty qualified. i’ve always wanted to do one with periwinkle acapella but i never got around to it

another ep i know nothing about is get to work

i tried doing a eco life playthrough but i hadn’t watched any videos and i was like..what is going on. so i quit lolx d ;;;;; i mentioned it but the whimsy stories legacy was the first time i had played with the eco lifestyle features so technically i think i know what im doing

i got outdoor retreat literally on monday of this week so i haven’t played through it yet.

jungle adventure i still don’t know what’s going on. i remember last year before i bought the pack i was brainstorming, and wanted to do a ja playthrough with luna and cedar, who are a couple who i did a random legacy with and it was all queued to post when i deleted everything (if you’re wondering why, it’s because my queue was literally 200+ posts). except this time i didn’t save them to my sideblog so i lost them.

i still havent had a restaurant in dine out

also never did the vet thing from cats and dogs

i have no idea what that rock climbing thing is from snowy escape but i did most of the other stuff because rn g5

city living i did through psc stage 5 and also it was the first pack i bought anyways

the rest of them are either stuff packs or i ended up playing them through casual gameplay (seasons, parenthood)

16. what do you do as you play sims? (ex. listen to music) i listen to music most of the time, or listen to commentary youtube videos because i am an alpha chad. i also used to talk with my friends on voice call but i don’t do that anymore 🥲

17. which sims challenges have you tried? random legacy, whimsy stories, perfect sim challenge, 100 baby, legacy (just the plain get-to-10-gens one), random nightmares, berry zodiac, astrology legacy, apocalypse

i feel like im forgetting some.. honestly most of the stuff i did before simblr was either 100 baby (i love that challenge) or random saves that lasted for 2 seconds.

18. do you like the new(ish) hair swatches? nah.

i do appreciate that most cc hairs have a true (ish) black, thank god! and the fact that the hair update is what inspired me to update and fix a bunch of hairs with different issues is pretty nice. but will i use them? no.

plus it takes up like 5 gb? depending on how many packs you have.

20. what is the cc/ingame hair that looks the most like your own? i think that dream home decorator side part hair looks a lot like my hair. honestly i havent see much like my hair but that one is kinda-? close

noelle is blonde and has blue-grey eyes. she wears purple contacts pretty often though (because she wants to 😌)

alari has light brown hair that is kinda curly, and she’s got pretty vibrant blue eyes.

they’re sisters, alari is 3 years older than noelle. noelle was 19 and alari was 22 when they got spotted

they worked as models when they were young adults. their jobs involved dyeing their hair blue/pink, and they would model like clothes and stuff. anyways, they were pretty successful. like not ultra famous but they had enough money to not work for the rest of their lives.

their modeling group was made of 4 girls, the others were named paisley autumn and they were green and red, respectively. some things are:

paisley and alari started dating during this

autumn was a single mother to a little girl named destiny

noelle dated many people during this but never ended up finding the one <3

when their contract ended after like 6 years, paisley and alari went to go live together and noelle decided to get into acting. so thats when get famous playthrough started!

22. if you use cc, are there any cc creators that you have like ALL of their items? this is such a good question! i hoard hair very heavily (my folder is 11gb) i so i have like 97% from most of the popular hair creators.

i think i had legitimately EVERYTHING from simstrouble though, i went through multiple times to check and i also have all of her retired stuff.

i have everything from ridgeport i think-? because of the fact that she uploaded all her stuff in one big zip.

i think that’s it.. for a long time i also had everything by clumsyalienn, but then i ended up deleting it and only keeping my faves.

and looking at my collection, maybe ah00b? i might be missing a couple but i at least have like 99%.

23. what’s one pack you think is underrated? dine out, it’s laggy af yes but it’s such a nice thing for my sims to do.

“…ta…nata…Hinata!”

A female’s voice continued calling her from her deep slumber.

The faint smell of ammonia wafted in the air.

Eyelids slowly opened as she regained consciousness.

“Ah, thank goodness you’re awake now, Hina-chan!”

“Yachi-san?” She groggily glanced at her friend.

“I’ll tell the others she’s awake!” Suddenly, the owner of that voice earlier, Date Tech’s manager, Nametsu Mai, stood up and headed outside the door. Yachi nodded her thanks.

“W-what happened… Where am I? Is this not our—the managers’—room?” she asked.

Hinata started to sit up from where she was laying but wobbled.

Luckily, Yachi and their second-year senpai Kinoshita Hisashi helped her out and gently positioned their fellow member on one corner of the classroom-slash-makeshift sleeping area.

Her senpai sheepishly replied to Hinata, “This is Date Tech’s sleeping quarters. We were having our first practice match of the day, against them, when Sugawara-san called to inform that they’ve found you together with Shiratorizawa, and their captain carried you on—“

The decoy shivered, thinking about the restroom incident hours ago.

“—and fainted on Ushijima’s shoulder. Ma~n, Suga-san’s so furious back then Kageyama had to stop him from killing them.” Kinoshita chuckled.

“Your room’s kinda far away from where they found you, so the managers decided to drop you off here since it’s the nearest one.”

Hinata sweatdropped, a bit embarrassed.

“Ah… thank you, and sorry for whatever inconvenience I have caused earlier…”

Yachi shook her head. “No, no, it’s fine! You’ve done nothing wrong, Hina-chan~,” she grinned at the orange-haired girl.

Smiled back also.

Then she suddenly facepalmed. “I forgot about the practice match! Is it still going yet?”

“It finished an hour ago, we lost—2-1,” a scowling Kageyama answered, trudging towards the three.

“K-k-kageyama…!!!” the female middle blocker blanched with fear, hands gripping the blanket draped on her lap, while the raven-haired setter shot a menacing glare at her, which she averted. “I’m… I’m sorry for—“

“Are you alright?” he quietly asked Hinata, his hand perched on her head.

His deep blue eyes swimming with concern and worry.

She felt a slight flush on her cheeks while meeting his gaze.

“H-hai, I’m fine!” the chibi assured Kageyama. “Nothing to worry about, Bakayama-kun~!”

And she smiled at him.

The boy suddenly became hot and turned to look away from her, hiding his flustered face with the back of his hand.

“H-hinata boke… idiot,” Kageyama stuttered, his heart thumping louder than normal.

Ahh… he sure is whipped for Hinata, that Kageyama boy, Kinoshita thought, shaking his head.

While their blonde manager only giggled.

Recovering from his blushing mess a while ago, the raven-haired setter took a deep breath, narrowed his eyes at Hinata and quipped.

“But I guess you do know that we lost in the match earlier because of your carelessness around your surroundings, right, dumbass?”

He smirked.

This pissed the female decoy and threw in some punches at Kageyama, which he constantly dodged. “Shut up, you!! I said I’m sorry, alright?!”

“No, you did not!”

“Yes, I did, Bakayama!”

There goes their ‘lovers’ quarrel’ again… hahaha…

“Hinata!” Sugawara’s sweet voice boomed inside the room as he entered together with their team’s captain Sawamura Daichi. Beside them tagged along Hinata’s friend from Date Tech, fellow middle blocker Aone Takanobu.

“Ah, Sugawara-san!” The first-year idiot duo stopped their bickering when the gray-haired setter all of a sudden hugged her.

Hc’d Suga and Hinata are chummy-chummy but in a mother/daughter sort of way.

He is, after all, Karasuno’s Sugamama.

“Honey, are you alright now? Did those Shiratorizawa bastards hurt you? Don’t lie to me!” She blinked in reply, baffled.

He might cry in an instant now—

“Oi, Suga, calm down,” Daichi said, drawing circles at the fellow third-year’s back to calm him down.

Aone then stepped closer besides Hinata and sat with his legs crossed, his eyes gazing at hers like Kageyama’s.

“Are you okay?” he asked her, his deep voice nearly startled both Hinata, Yachi and Kinoshita.

Date Tech’s one-third of the famous Iron Wall is a man of few words, and his replies were mostly grunts, hand gestures, and nods.

So it’s rare for him to speak, or ask a question, especially to a member of the opposite sex—or, in this case, at Karasuno’s Number 10. At Hinata Shouyou.

She held both hands at Aone’s now flustered cheeks, and grinned.

“I’m okay now, Aone-san! Don’t worry too much~ nn?” She tilted her head while looking at him.

C-cute… she’s cute, No-Eyebrows thought to himself. Even the other boys thought so, too.

Then he nodded.

Hinata patted his shoulders. “Good!”

Ahhh the power of friendship, feat. AoHina—

“Say, Hina-chan,” Yachi looked at the orange-haired girl. “Care to say to us why you fainted on Ushijima-san’s shoulder?”

The chibi stilled herself, cheeks starting to get a bit red. Kageyama noticed it.

“A-a-ano!! H-hinata-chan, it’s o-okay if you d-don’t have to tell us! S-sorry for asking such a foolish q-question—“

“Yachi-san, calm yourself down, too—,” the captain sweatdropped.

Looking at the people around her, Hinata slowly opened her mouth to speak.

“My thighs are kind of ticklish when being touched,” she muttered, face in an embarrassed state.

“Ha?” “Ticklish?”

“He—Ushijima-san touched the back of my thighs, but just to keep myself from falling down his shoulder!” the female middle blocker said aloud, pouting. “That’s why I… f-fainted earlier.”

Her partner remembered the face she made while being carried on Ushijima Wakatoshi’s shoulder.

“USHIJIMA-SA—hyaah! …P-please… stop—“

A vein pop ticked on the raven-haired setter’s face, his jawline twitching slightly.

Kageyama’s fists gripped hard, his face a big scowling mess.

Damn that Ushiwaka guy—

Another dark aura emitted on another corner as vein pops ticked on both Dadchi and Sugamama.

Wearing their scary faces.

Both Hinata, Yachi and Kinoshita panicked, while Aone furrowed his brows.

“Did you bring some shovels, Daichi?”

“They’re inside the bus compartment, Suga.”

“Good. We’re digging some graves for some perverted volleyball dorks to bury down later—wanna help us, Kageyama?”

Meanwhile, at Shiratorizawa’s side of the training camp, the members were at the sidelines, taking a break from practice when—

“ACHOO!!!” Tendou sniffled for the nth time already ever since coming back to the gym with Ushijima after the incident with Karasuno’s Number 10. “Uh, yizz…”

“Tendou-san, are you really alright?” their team’s first-year ace-in-the-making Goshiki Tsutomu asked, his face scrunched with worry. “You’re sneezing constantly.”

The redhead shook it off with a wave of his hand in reply, and smiled grimly.

“Yeah, I’m a-OK, thanks for your concern, Tsutomu-kun!”

“Oi, are you sick?” Shiratorizawa’s team mom third-year setter Semi Eita stared at his fellow third-year teammate with disgust. “If you are, please stay away from us! We don’t wanna get infected by your cold… Goshiki, don’t go near him!” “Eh? But, senpai—“

Tendou narrowed his eyes on him. “Semi-Semi, if I do have a cold, I will first go straight at ya and share my germs, duh!”

“DON’T CALL ME BY THAT STUPID NICKNAME, YOU IDIOT!” the team mom seethed, throwing a pack of tissues at the middle blocker in reply, hitting his arm.

A quarrel ensued at Shiratorizawa—

“Okay, guys, that’s enough! Save your bickering later at lunch period,” another third-year, Oohira Reon, chided and managed to stop both Tendou and Semi from tearing off their heads.

While the rest of the team just sighed and/or watched at a distance.

“Ano sa…”

Some of them turned their heads at the semi-deep voice of second-year starting setter Shirabu Kenjiro.

Idk how to describe voice ranges ‘cept high-pitch, deep blah blah sorry—

“Tendou-san, you mentioned earlier that you and Ushijima-san met Karasuno’s Number 10, right?”

“Aye~ we have!” the redhead then nudged Ushijima, who was sitting near him, on the side. “Right, Wakatoshi-kun?”

He nodded. “Un. We met Hinata Shouyou early this morning, outside the gym.”

“EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! You two met that cute sunshine already upon arrival!?!!” Both their libero, Yamagata Hayato, and middle blocker, Kawanishi Taichi, squawked at their captain.

Their faces looked like (‘◉⌓◉’), with Kawanishi gripping the collar of Shirabu’s shirt, shaking wildly.

“T-taichi, stop shaking me, goddammit—!” Whack!

Said second-year middle blocker started to wail in a dramatic way.

“WHYYYYYYYYYYY—!!”

Dunno how to grasp Kawanishi’s personality here tbh so stfu dejk—

“We were about to bring her here back though…” Then Ushijima’s usual stoic face darkened a bit.

“…if only those Karasuno setters didn’t show up.”

“Ah, that Kageyama guy and their vice-captain, isn’t it? Number 2?” Shirabu pointed out. “That guy’s really scary even though he has the face of an angel; their captain also.”

Oohira asked, “Wait… so you two attempted to kidnap the girl?”

“No, no, ‘kidnapping’ will only cause us trouble,” Tendou said, waving his hand in a disapproving way.

“Let’s call it ‘luring her with some sweets then put her inside a potato sack’—“

“ARE YOU A DOWNRIGHT LOLICON!?!!” Semi screamed straight at the Guess Monster’s face, pissed at his earlier statement.

Tendou vs Semi, Round 2–

“I-I heard from Date Tech’s Koganegawa-san that Hinata-chan fainted on you, Ushijima-san,” Goshiki stammered, red tinge on both his cheeks due to embarrassment, maybe? “Is that true?”

Ushiwaka nodded curtly. “Ye—“

“EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! SHE DID WHAAAAAAAAAAT!?!!” Both Yamagata and Kawanishi squawked again, interrupting his response.

Their faces now looked like (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾, with Kawanishi again gripping the collar of Shirabu’s shirt, shaking wildly.

“KAWANISHIIIIII!” An uppercut.

Chaos ensued inside the Shiratorizawa Academy (High School Division) Men’s Volleyball Club.

Their captain declared to himself, his olive-colored eyes shone with determination:

We will take Hinata Shouyou here, in Shiratorizawa. She should have (come here). Whatever the consequences be.

“WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SLACKING OFF, YOU NIMRODS!!! GET YOUR ASSES BACK TO PRACTICE!!!!”

“HAI!!!!”

How did the supposed-to-be ‘rumor’ begin? It all started when…

“Aaaarrrggghhh!! This is not right, Ryuu!”

“Huh? What d’you mean ‘not right’, Noya?”

“I want to sit next to our cute kouhai Shouyou on the bus earlier, but it’s always that bastard Kageyama who gets to sit beside her!! Hnnnnnngh—!!! He gets to touch Shouyou’s hair whenever she dozes off, or place her head on his shoulder to sleep on! Or-or maybe even take a candid shot of her sleeping cutely—dammit!!! This is frustrating!!!!!”

“Ahhh~ I know how you feel, bro! I, too, want to sit next to our precious Hinata-chan on the bus! B-but… Noya, what about Kiyoko-san?”

“Ryuu bro, our loyalty is always on our beautiful goddess Kiyoko-san—BUT SHE’S DIFFERENT FROM SHOUYOU! Our kouhai is literally the epitome of a living sunshine~! She cures our blues away! Remember that time during our match with Wakunan, when you were kind of down about Daichi-san’s injury then Shouyou suddenly hugged and peppered you with words of encouragement?”

“Oh, yeah! It calmed my senses down… and also! Remember when you came back from your suspension, and me and Hinata noticed bruises—“

idk I really need to refresh my HQ knowledge by rereading the whole manga orz—

“—on your arms? Ma~n, she freaked out and began applying those with some ointment she had in her bag. And you told me later that time Hinata’s hands were very soft even though she spiked and blocked so many balls in her lifetime? Also that expression on your face! So priceless!”
