For such, let us expand, and tell of the past. For that mother of his, she didn't really last. She might have been caring, she might have not. Regardless, she lays in Dev's mind, as though he's forgot.

Then again, she was never there, so what is it one could forget?

Hmm... Then again, what is there was someone before the O-Pairs? Someone simple, who had a job to do? A simple nanny, who did all that she could, to ensure that he's well.

He does have memories, of a past unsure, for he knows his mother was no more, when he took his first breath. So, who is the one who haunts him in his mind? And why does she seem so very kind?

He knows his mother has never been there, so the question remains, who was?

You're always telling me wildlife stories but tell me your top five FAVORITE animals you get to work with. What ones are just a pleasure to be around

What Beasties are my favourite to just work with or engage with?

Top of the list and this is in order this time.

Virginia Opossum - Incredible creatures. I do love marsupials tenderly. They are wonderful creatures and they are amazing to feed. If you ever get the chance to hand feed one. 10.10 from a professional perspective. They have a strange aroma. But not bad.

White Tailed Deer - These lovely folks you can absolutely find on farms where you can feed them. They are wonderful.

American Bison - This one may be a surprise but they are incredible megafauna. They are the only megafauna I have currently enjoyed. Moose and Elk are not a pleasure. I think that most of the American Bison I have interacted with are often aware of their stature. Most interactions are "okay". I love them not because they are "nice" because they are not. But they are incredible, massive, and I adore their smell (do not question me) as well as how they feel under my hands. They are powerful. I cannot accentuate this enough. This experience is unlike anything I have experienced before.

Skunks - I cannot being to express how soft, cute and wonderful they are. They can be temperamental but they are wonderful creatures. I do enjoy them.

Those are my top favourite animals to work with.

a little more serious answer: they can tell something is going on with optimus and they desperately want to pretend it's not. they don't want to know how he's aware of things he shouldn't be, how he knows stuff that should have long been forgotten, how he seems to be more familiar with them than he should be. how sometimes he speaks and it's like the dead are talking through him. how sometimes he will answer to empty air and somehow they can just tell what he's responding to. who he is talking to.

they Know. and they really, really want to pretend they don't.

they already carry the guilt of failing them once. the idea of doing it once more is unbearable and they'd rather deceive themselves than face it. they'd rather their friends stay dead and gone than think of them seeing what they've become.

Me before completing the forest temple: okay I get that ocarina of time is fun and nostalgic for people but it’s a bit of a stretch to call it one of the greatest video games of all time

Me after completing the forest temple: By revealing that Link is not a Kokiri, but a Hylian, the game effectively strips him of his humble origins amongst a group of people that already fail to recognize him in his adult form. Thus, kokiri village instantly becomes a location that is no longer Link’s home in any sense, exacerbated by the fact that the game now loads up in the temple of time instead of Link’s bedroom— he is a stranger in the only place that has ever been familiar to him and he is depressingly reduced to his destiny alone. However, the subsequent introduction of the time travel mechanic, which allows the player to travel from the horrific apocalyptic future back to the idyllic past of Link’s childhood, gives new meaning to the idea of this “destiny”. In effect, Link is not a stock “chosen one”, but a protagonist who consciously decides to fight onwards. Link’s dual existence as a child who knows the grim future and as an adult who was powerless to stop disaster gives a sort of desperation to his character, because while it brings the player relief to revisit the Castle Town that is populated by cheerful villagers instead of lurking zombies, the story can only be progressed through the acknowledgement of reality — the decision to make those seven years pass again. Ah, yes, that's quite a fun question indeed

For clarity, The magic in a fairy is like a powerful immune system. It helps ensure that they are safe from any diseases that they could encounter while on the job.

Obviously there may be some fairy specific diseases that can infect a fairy, it may even substantiate itself on their magic, but you wouldn't really get such a sickness from working on earth.

So, generally speaking, a fairy godparent doesn't have to worry about being sick. Which is good, they have work to do after all.

Still, doesn't that make one wonder? If a fairy doesn't posses a lot of magic, then, how susceptible would they be towards sickness?

Guess we are lucky though, Peri has an abundance of magic, he shouldn't really have to worry about sickness, right?

Heh, imagine the surprise of others when a fairy gets sick on earth. Oh, would they even think it could be a normal sickness? hehehe

Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one. - I created Elias Lumenarius - my arcane build in Bloodborne who uses the Kos Parasite. I have a deep love for the body horror of the Kos Parasite in Bloodborne. The Ethereal nature of it and how it's not just really a parasite but seems to behave with a sort of symbiosis to the host of the parasite does ... something... for me. (If you were curious about Ere/Wilbur and Heinrich, they are old news.)

If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be? - The deer will go into rut early this year. This is important for the end of August going into September.

What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year? - We rearranged our entire sitting room, actually. I also tossed out my old area rug. It's a tad barren now, there, but alas, it will have to do until I can find something I like that is also affordable. Oh! And the hole in our roof got fixed. Pleasant news. It had not started to leak quite yet so I am glad it got repaired sooner rather than later.

What’s something you learned this year? - The men in Shackleton's expedition traded one another the shiniest and prettiest stones and gifted them to one another. This healed me for an additional one hundred and fifty health points.

A memorable meal this year? - I perfected Cawl. It turned out so brilliantly that I cannot help but fondly recall it and how well I had done. I almost cried.

Talk about a new friend you made this year - I have made several new friends this year. I struggle in community. I am a bit shy. But reaching out through the community of the Terror and other Polar Exploration enthusiasts has brought many incredible individuals to my humble space. I have gotten to connect with so many wonderful people that I am in awe. I admire so many of them so deeply. I adore them. To think that others admire me as well is laughable. It's a strange and surreal experience. Everyone has been so lovely and so kind and brilliant. The minds of the Terror and our fellow "Discovery Service" sailors are enough to really move me. I have grown so much in a short amount of time and been given a truly precious gift amongst these incredible individuals. Those that have connected with me through DMs or reached out to me are just incredible. The way that we stitch and weave together this unique and amazing relationship is simply most unexpected. I am truly grateful and I could not feel so close to so many people that live so far away if it were not for what you all bring to these Ships. It is an honour to Sail with you all.

Best month for you this year? I found a lot of respite in May this year. I experienced some rather disconcerting life events that shook me and troubled me deeply. I spent much of my free time isolated in state parks, having hiked hundreds of metres above sea level to simply feel isolated and away from everything whilst finding a connection to my place in the world. I spent much time writing, reading, and absorbing myself in my hobby studies while I found wisdom in my other works. I had a wonderful amount of support from other good friends and kin that I share sacred spaces with and this was very supportive in my task to heal some wounds wrought upon me by my own family. It was painful but good. And I value that and am grateful for it.
